Description

PixiTracker 1BIT is a simple and fun tool to quickly create musical sketches, chiptunes and experiments with TRUE 1-BIT SOUND (like on old microcomputers).
No musical knowledge required!

A Humble Request

I love these fun little trackers and have used them for years. All of AZ’s stuff is amazing. I would like to make a humble request: Could we have more step-length options for odd time signatures? Even better, options to change lengths per pattern? That would open a lot of doors and maximize dopeness!

Cool but one thing

For some reason I can’t find a way to save it because it ends up to overwrite something when I want to keep it, and I tried everything but I still can’t save it. Also I know this is a opinion on myself and truly I would give it 5 stars but I only gave it four because of saving it like I would give it 5 if their was an actual save button but no I’m forced to overwrite one, and what is even stranger is that even when I restart it it still would overwrite it. Why!

Can't go wrong

It's simple but very effective tool to make those chirpy noises. I was greatly impressed by the recording feature. Everything sounds like an old computer. So now you do not need that old computer to make those noises. Create your own, be happy!

So fun!

It's so appreciated that this silly little tracker continues to get updated. Such a fun app and it has been on my iPad for years now. Very easy to use and get interesting sounding sequences and phrases out of.

Lo-Fi Fun!

This is a great sound source for some lo-fi music creation fun.
Easy to use and for those of who started with the early video games (Pong, Space Invaders, Asteroids, ets), this will tickle a certain fancy.
Recommended for certain kinds of people.
Get it and play around with 1 Bit chiptunes and glitchy sounds.

Not what I was hoping

Good game for a little while, but it gets boring fast, and it definitely isn't worth the $3 I paid. I reccomend you get something else other than this app.

Really fun!

This is a really fun way to get some musical ideas down quickly. I use it to figure out the rhythms in my head, and it's got some pretty gritty and great lo-fi sounds.

The sounds are okay...

This app is okay for making chip tune music, but don't expect 16-bit era sounds, this app gives you a somewhat narrow selection of rather ugly-sounding noises from the Atari era.

I was hoping for a bigger selection of sounds to use

The app works well and is easy enough to use but it's very limited. This app doesn't have a great selection of sounds and it gets boring after 5 minutes. It's average at best and not worth $3. I'd say this app is worth $1

Pixitracker 1-bit is still the best way to kill $.99 and many, many hours of your life.
Get the regular Pixitracker, as well.
....and SunVox. Get SunVox, too. I love the apps that Alex Zolotov makes. Simple, fun, and they sound great! If only real life was like that!

FANTASTIC

Out of all the sequencers and DAWs out there i find PixiTracker to be the most fun to work with and am currently IN LOVE with the 1bit version. Making music is downright playful with this app and that's something typically missing from most sequencers. Then there's the 1bit sound: the glorious crunch of lo fi .. especially satisfying when importing your own samples. Easy to learn and very capable / versatile. Oh and the visual page when playing back your song is endlessly entertaining. Great App, Great development, Great find: GET IT. ps- all the Alexander Zolotov apps are 100% worth having.

Great over all

Simple to use and many different sound options. Great for wasting time or experimenting with your own sick beats.
My only complaint is that some sounds increase duration as they drop in pitch, making a bass line difficult to establish sometimes.
Not really a problem though. Great app.

1 Bit Has Never Been So Great

It's a must have app if you like working with low bit audio, or if you enjoy PixiTracker. What's different? The sampling is superb, creating 1 bit samples is endlessly entertaining. The simplest sounds can be convert to spectacular 1 bit samples with the built in recorder. It's an incredible function.
(this next part is very unimportant) I would like to see ways to customize the visualizations, giving users the ability to draw their own pixel art and control how it is vizualized... maybe that particular function could be made into a completely different app or an in app purchase. Also it would be cool if there was a way to export customized visualizations to video files.
Pixitracker 1bit is a simplistically amazing way to work with low bit samples. I have no reservations in suggesting that low bit musicians should buy this app immediately.
Edit: I requested something that I didn't know was already available. That is pasted audio can be down converted to 1 bit automatically. Sorry about the mistake... this app rocks.
