It's bizarre to me that I have to specify which version I'm rating, but here goes. I started playing this on the iPhone and I was enjoying it. I don't love the fact that every day the daily quests are the same, but other than that it was a good little game. Decided to put it on my new iPad because my eyesight is garbage, thinking that it would be the same game just bigger and easier on the eyes. NOPE. Yes, it's bigger, but you also have to find almost double the amount of words you have to find in the iPhone version. That's fine for the Classic and Progression game types, but for the Time-Based ones? Awful. Not even slightly enjoyable. Logging in also does absolutely nothing. Logging in with Facebook immediately gives an error, and signing in with Apple seems like it works, but when you leave the app and come back you're no longer signed in.
Also, the game is more than happy to show me an ad to unlock a specific category, but then after I watch the ad, the category doesn't unlock.
Love this game. But keeps crashing!

Recently, over the past month, app crashes upon opening. I have deleted, and redownload app to reinstall. Unfortunately, I loose my levels, and have to start from Level 1 again. This is the BEST word search game out there - sure wish my level data was not lost, and NOW it’s crashing again!

I’ll change my rating to 5-stars once the one-time fee to remove ads forever is lowered to a reasonable price ($12 max).
Otherwise great app! Just not worth the high cost to get rid of ads… alternative being get pounded with tons of back to back terrible ads 🤨🙄

Are you insane? You must be if you think more than a few nut jobs out there would pay $4 a week. I wouldn’t even pay $4 a month. If you want to make money off this, you need to drastically reduce your subscription cost or have a reasonable one-time payment, no more than $10. It’s a word search app.
I used to play this app all the time back in the day, but the ads have become unbearable. Bye.

On iPad, the last update has killed the Classic daily puzzle. Words can only be found if they are in the visible portion of the word list. Even worse, as words are found and the list becomes smaller, one of the words is always hidden under the “hint” button. The biggest flaw with this app is I wish you could reset your record times. I’d like to be able to erase all my old times and start fresh. This is my favorite word search app but to make it even better is when I do the daily puzzle, the hint box at the bottom of the screen covers up one of the words to find in the puzzle and sometimes I have a hard time figuring out what the word is. I’ve had this game downloaded for YEARS and have enjoyed it....until the last week or two. I just deleted it because I can no longer get to the actual game. As always with free apps, there are ads. I understand that and don’t mind until those ads interfere with the game. Recently, the ads take me to safari or the App Store. I can handle that. UNTIL when I try to return to the game, I only get the ad and the process starts again. After no less than TEN attempts today, I’m done. The frustration detracts from the enjoyment.

I enjoy playing this game, but one thing I’d like to see is an Undo feature. There’ve been many times when I’ve started swiping a word, but ended up swiping a different word that was part of the larger word, like “car” or “pet,” when I was going for “carpet.” This would be most helpful on the Daily puzzles, where it’s often possible to use all the letters, as long as you don’t accidentally swipe the word that would complete it somewhere else!

This big update, I feel, has ruined the whole layout and point of the game. I preferred just having some word searches. Not everything has to be levels and experience. At first, I had downloaded another word search game. But it wasn’t at all what I was looking for. It didn’t give you the words, and you had to look for them (kudos for the animation however) and I went looking again, and I found this app. It contains so. Many. Levels. You can choose tons of different ‘modes’ or styles to play in, like classic, multiplayer, arcade, free draw, story, and more! I’m honestly blown away by the sheer amount of gameplays, let alone how many levels. If you choose classic, you even have categories to choose from, and the variety- well, you have to scroll down to see the end. Not that I’m complaining. However, I think the matches in multiplayer are a bit unfair, but that might be just me (I’m really bad at word searches). The matches are approximately the same level, but they usually have 40-70 wins under their belt and therefore the game usually lasts around two minutes. Again, this is just me, and I totally recommend this to anyone who is looking for the perfect word search, download this app!

Frequent, game limiting problems: Only blue color to mark words; some letters missing on word list so have to guess word; screen turns red with black boxes over parts of screen; screen freezes and/or goes blank. I deleted my app after accumulating great time scores on all puzzles. New install worked for a short time and now back to the same frustrating problems. Do not recommend this app unless prepared to be frustrated on a daily basis.

I’ve been using this app for a few weeks now. It’s a great app for me because I used Wordsearch books when I was younger and this is really just like them. Great way to improve your knowledge of the subject of the game, looking up the definitions of the ones I don’t already know. I wish they’d put a link to those definitions right there in the app, so that you press and hold on a word and it’s definition pops up.

Before ever seeing the app I got an add I selected my difficulty, ad I chose the type of game that I wanted to play, ad. I’d give it 5 stars, but I can’t get it to open anymore. LAC-I really love this game- I like the format, and the fact that it has categories to choose from. BUT, it has started to fail to open. It doesn’t load properly so you get a blank screen that won’t let you go anywhere. Even after closing it, and after deleting the app and reinstalling it. When it does open, there is an ad for a solitaire game, that, when closed, freezes on a blank screen.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this app, but the past few months when I open it and it goes to the obligatory advertisement, when it comes back the game is nothing but a bunch of black boxes and I can’t play the game. For a while it was better but now it has gotten to just be pathetic. I watch the ad so I can play the game...fair enough. But I’m tired of watching the ad and not getting to play the game. I’ve pretty much decided to delete the app because of the consistent problems I have with it. This used to be my favorite word search app. Used to be is the operative term.

I love this word search game. BUT my family and I all like to play the daily game to see how we compare and who can beat who. Its our only option where we each play the exact same words and we love it.
BUT Developers have got to delay the timer for the Daily Game until after the ads end. I get that you need to allow the ads and I’m okay with it - Especially for a free game. But at least stop the timer from beginning until after the ad is over.

Although this is a fun game and I have played it for a long time, after the last update it takes two to three restarts before the game will work. It’s extremely frustrating to sit and watch all the adds and then the game won’t work so you have to watch them all again. Until this bug is fixed I would choose another version

I love this puzzle game. It’s something that my grandson and I do together each morning to kick start our brains. But lately there have been some issues. Missing letters, letters/words so scrambled you can’t make them out, sometimes all I get is a blank page so I can’t even start my puzzle. If I didn’t know better I would say it’s a virus. I have deleted it and reinstalled and so far it seems to be doing better but now I’m not getting my daily puzzle. I would also just love to be able to get rid of the ads!!! Otherwise this is a 5 star app.

I love word search so i figured why not pay 3.99 to remove some ads? At first I was a little weary because the price to remove ads on other apps is usually only 1.99 but i knew i was gonna be using it a lot. Turns out i payed 3.99 and i still get banner ads at the bottom???¿ I’m mad because i can’t see the entire screen and i can’t find all the words. i’m not having a good time.

I really enjoy this game, I don’t like the fact that the timer is still going when there is a ad you are having to watch. I understand having ads, it’s no problem for me. Just please stop timing with the ads playing. Start the timer when the puzzle is actually on the screen or have a box so we can press start the puzzle and then it starts timing. It’s really upsetting. Thank you other than that amazing game I would have rated five if not for timing issue. 😊

I absolutely love this game. It’s quiet and I’m by myself passing time as I look for is the letters to form a word. One of the best games on here! There may be a lot to look a likes to this game which I found when I went to download it. But this is the game that you want.

This is a good game to play and work your mind and eyes. The only thing I have to say is there is one fix they do. And that would be, a way to stop the screen from making all of the words go black, which happens from time to time. Other than that I am happy with the game.
Black boxes and bug issue is a pain!

I really like this game - but having to shut the app over and over is a pain. I keep waiting to see if they are going to fix the bug. I was going to get the version with no ads but not till this issue is fixed.

I have been playing for about two weeks now, and absolutely love the game. Occasionally, an error would occur with the font and graphics. Although this has almost entirely been fixed, the daily challenges cause the error to occur again. Thank you so much for the fix for the regular game mode though! :D

Love the game and Play it all the time ,but every so often in the middle of a game it will change to weird letters and stretched out. I have to end that game and start another then sometimes I even have to go in as far as deleting the whole game out and wait for days to be able to get it again like it should be I get so tired of that I would certainly give it a five star plus if it wasn’t for that. also if there’s anyway that the hard level can be made in bigger letters that would be great elderly people( most) need bigger letters.

Great game/app!!! I just keep having the same issue as the last review! A bunch of black boxes or symbols instead of words and letters! Super annoying cuz it always happens when I really want to play! I’m about to download a different one unfortunately because I like the options on this one and levels so my daughter can play too plus the various highlighted colors help a lot when searching! Hope a fix comes soon!!!!!

Finally, a game my whole family can play. Grandkids only think it’s fun, but are learning at the same time. How to spell a word, asking what it means, etc. I enjoy it as well. My only suggestion would be to get rid of the darker colors as it makes it hard for these granny eyes to see the letters once they’ve been highlighted. You get 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from my family!

Fun game. Would have given it 5 stars but if you’re playing a timed game, the timer runs while the ad is playing. Once you X out the ad and your game pops up, you’ve lost at LEAST 5 seconds of time to look for a word. Developers: test this, because if you don’t X out the ad for 20 seconds or so on marathons, the game will be over before you even start playing.

This is the kind of game that has been around for many yrs and enjoyed. While many of my friends still use the books for their word circle games, I cannot get use to that when I have it on my iPad. Much easier to see and sometimes it’s nice to know how long it takes you. Nope this is a game that will never end. Thanks

Update: I did contact the developers and gave them screen shots. I've been assured a fix is in the works. I haven't had the black box issue since, but the colors are gone. Maybe it is an option I have marked. Idk.
I've had this game for years. Now, suddenly, I'm getting the dreaded black boxes in place of the letters. The menu is all messed up also. I don't see a way to contact the developers. I'm seriously bummed because this has been one of my staple games for such a long time. Gonna have to delete if it doesn't get fixed soon. :(

I've had this app before, years ago, and never had any problems with it. Recently I downloaded it again and seem to get black boxes replacing all the words on the screen every other game I play?? It's very frustrating especially when i close the app and then re-open it and have to deal with the same problem. Please fix this - I want my favorite word search app back.

Ok so I know I said this is a great app which it is it helps time go by and it is wonderful i’m obsessed, but they put up to many ads I know they aren’t video ads but they are still very annoying especially when your trying to focus on the game :(

Should be zero stars. Second time I had to delete app. Will not give it a third try. App is current on updates. iOS is current. Tried to email their tech support before leaving this review. Message never sent after waiting over two minutes.
Everything on game board turns to black boxes. Cannot change boards. Most annoying!!
Puzzles are not that challenging, even the so-called hard ones.
Cannot recommend this game.

This is tons of Fun! I like playing it and I would recommend it to anyone who likes word searches. This is very helpful for kids to learn how to spell words and not even realize that's what is happening since they are having so much fun trying to beat their best score or yours. It helps make learning fun if the parent adds a little friendly competition.
