Hi I’m silly
Chrome is way better than the version of Google I had (I have an older iPad). I’m an artist and the pictures are way bigger and of higher quality on here. And when you tap on the pictures it does NOT MAKE U GO TO THE WEBSITE. This prob sounds really basic a loud but I still enjoyed this WAY MORE than Google. ( And alsooo it has DuckGoGo search on here and I feel safer searching with that ☺️👍🏼👌🏼)

It has been a complete blessing to have this tool as an option to be able to assist in paying your rent. At 69 it’s a life saver since my social security has been cut to under $600.00 and my Part Time employment pays $16 dollars an hour and with 20 and under hours a week that’s a recipe for disaster so thank you.. my only suggestion is that you make a call center available for those who are not user friendly when it comes to technology.

Experience
Hi I’m ten year old and this is my experience with chrome. I was going to buy some sporting gear off dicks and I automatically had it on images. “ PS I only put dicks because I don’t feel like putting I the whole name”. So I search it up and it pictures of actual penises in a jar,and a bag that says “eat a big bag of dicks” . That’s was the first indecent also the whole time I had enhanced settings on to stop this stuff from happening.
Second incident was when I though there was a dicks instead of green their was a white color too. I search it up TRAMUA I’m pretty sure you know what popped up.
Incident number 3 the final one. I was curious what the biggest dicks was so I searched it up and it was not the biggest dicks store it said 7.3m which I don’t even know what that means. But other than being really specific what you type in it’s a good app over all I’m still gonna try to delete it.

I have two microchipped mini schnauzers. I’ve never had either of them go missing, but it has always bothered me that if one ever did go missing, I’d have to hope that the person finding my precious pet would take him to a vet to see if he was microchipped. That takes time, gas and the willingness of the finder to do these things. With Crumb, just a scan of the tag provides instant pet identification and owner information. Chrome is Google. The all encompassing index keeper of silly searches all around the world. Producing 100s of results of interesting information in seconds for all of us to be able to read, interact with and make plans for making life a bit more peppier. What makes Chrome a stand out is search engines ability to produce some of the most relevant context that is adaptable across many different locations and creating a standard of uniformity in results. Making it a powerhouse in the informational world as a whole. To be the standard, set… requires an astounding array of agreements in arguable variables. I find this to be promising.
Now where they choose to direct intelligence from the starting point is where I believe they need to be more responsibly, proactive. Otherwise they have a runaway train on their hand that they never really intended to control. In which case they need to be held responsible, and shut down. Until they get the proper measurements, securities, and censorship’s in place. So that may take awhile. Is ok. We’re an earthbound people. Time is measured at 24 hours a day everywhere. And we as a civilization can wait while google puts people first.

Works As Expected With An Occasional Crash, Glitch, Freeze But Forced Algorithms Are Obnoxious
Honestly, I’m only dropping a star because, as my late grandfather always said, they’re “too big for their breeches [alt. britches]!” They all grown their original purpose in the Tech/AI race. It’s becoming too cumbersome to do any simple task on Google anymore hence the drop in rating. Additionally, it has become far too tedious and cumbersome to do the type of search that Google’s name has become synonymous with: informational search. You can type in any search query you want and you will find that almost everything at the top of the page that’s being shoved in your face our companies that have paid Google money to be placed at the top. It’s not a fair search query and I generally try to take my queries elsewhere only to find that a lot of of these smaller search engines use Google anyway. Still at bypasses some of the stupid sponsored algorithms. I do appreciate the AI overview when you ask a question however, I’m finding far too many errors particularly in health and science. That’s another thing! Feeding an AI bought that is supposed to turn out health and science information or other factual data to its users is going to skew heavily with biases and grammatical errors and misinformation and spelling errors etc..

I don't recommend it for numerous reasons. The first reason is that it helps the scammers and the Columbus Crime Ring continue to do illegal and shady things. Second reason is that the Discover feed is full of fraudulent news with pictures of the criminals who made the sketchy news stories that are not legit. Third of all it's not secure, especially if all the neighbors in your neighborhood are part of the crime ring and they be minding your business more than they mind their own. If you do use it don't reveal any personal information cause your just feeding the crabs that's scamming the whole Columbus, Ga cause they're not smart enough to earn anything on their own. If you have any problems with this app gather all the information that would be pertinent in convicting everybody involved in the Unemployment Fraud, SBA/PPP loan fraud, illegitimate fraudulent businesses, spying, theft, Food Stamp fraud, etc. If you happen to be on your phone outside pay attention to your surroundings cause they're always lurking and listening to your conversations cause they want to be in prison on their numerous charges. They most likely are tracking you even though they can't even track their kids. Thanks for being a fan. The neighborhood was actually a good place to live before they started letting these unfortunates move in. Mind the business that pays you. Obviously they don't have a business so give them what they want which is prison time. Don't watch me, watch your household. Watch for sketchy cars gathering for scam meet-ups , or cars that continually pass by numerous times. Next time you all in my face, don't be.

Almost no functionality
The app is absolute garbage. Only the absolute basic functionality- nothing else. You want to upload more than 70 videos at a time? Good luck. Enjoy the endless “estimating time” icon. Want to select all files in a folder with one tap when uploading? Ha! What is this, 2026? Manually select all the files buddy. Want to search within a folder for a specific file? Too bad, can search only in the first 50 that get loaded for preview - want to find a file you gotta scroll all the way down first to load up all the files. Wanna find out how much storage a certain folder takes up ? That’s impossible. Wanna clear the cache that takes up space on your phone? Delete the app and reinstall it bud.
This app is an embarrassment for Google. I had higher expectations and I am frustrated every single day with this app. Legitimately, a vibe coder could do a better job than Google Drive app developers. Not even exaggerating.

I’ve Had it with Buggy web Pages and Intrusive ads
I understand that Google can say this isn’t their problem because Chrome is just the “messenger,” but now we need to start holding Internet browsers accountable for serving buggy webpages with slop ads. It’s getting out of control with the ads because now if you tap anywhere 5 miles away from the ad onscreen, the ad will still activate and take you away from the page that you wanted over to their commercial page. I’m not talking about ads and search results. I’m talking about the ads that show up in the news or articles that Google recommends in the news portion of chrome and Google news. It’s ridiculous. I don’t even think Google proofs what their News feature serves. It’s been annoying the past couple years and now it’s just straight intolerable and I’m beginning to divorce all Google products because of it.

What’s with the password bar at the bottom?
I used to swear on everything that chrome was the best browser. But now I cannot stand it. It’s not even my default browser anymore.
Almost anyone who is using chrome on iPadOS notices that there is a gray or black bar at the bottom whenever you try to type something in a page. It is very problematic. There are whole Reddit themes threads about this And people have been complaining about this literally now for years. It’s even on Apple‘s support site. Now I don’t know what’s going on with Google Chrome but it would seem someone would care enough to look into this if this many people are complaining about the same thing.
Especially if I’m in a chat, I can’t even see what I’m typing at the bottom of the screen because the bar covers it up and there’s no way to remove it. I’ll stick with Safari until they figure out what the heck is going on. Besides I’m tired of having my data sold anyway so I’ll be looking for options. Firefox and Safari are the way to go.

Mine’s Intermediate bridge class
She has been taking us through a great review of all the bridge conventions that we have become familiar with thus creating a larger group that we can play with using these conventions and sharpening our knowledge of how to use some of these conventions in more depth. Her classes are fun and challenging. We hope to play duplicate in the winter as well as fun games. Bringing the advanced beginners into our classes is fine. The more the merrier. She also provides us with additional things to watch on our IPads and written info to keep practicing with. Also info on how to use Bridge Base and how to fill out our cards for duplicate. I can’t give Google money to promote my website
I am reaching out as an independent contractor who runs a legitimate and licensed business with my own website. I would love to invest in Google Ads to promote my work and bring more clients through your platform. Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to complete the Business Profile verification process due to one specific issue — the video verification requires a permanent external sign with my business name.
I currently rent a workstation inside a shared professional studio that operates under a different studio name. I have my own business license, personal workspace, payment system, and digital presence, yet the lack of a permanent exterior sign prevents me from completing verification.
Everything else about my business is fully compliant and transparent — the only obstacle is this technical requirement, which doesn’t reflect the way many legitimate small businesses and contractors operate today.
I kindly ask for a manual review or alternative verification method, so I can have my business appear on Google Maps and begin advertising through Google Ads. Google has made my life easy by being able to connect accounts and maintain stability across various platforms. It started out as an internet search engine which I loved using as when I encounter a Subject I do not know, I can instant look it up.
Google has evolved into something so valuable that I can not begin to describe how many times my Gmail Account has saved me time when dealing with the various other Entities in the Digital Realm. I won’t mention names but if you do not have a Gmail then do yourself a huge favor get one and write down your password. And if you’re good with your phone , link it with your Google Account as it helps with the Recovery of any online account and tracking down missing items….
Thank you Google for the ability to do rapid research, securing communications and allowing us devices that can be made far more Secure then any thing from iOS…. When you beat Big Blue and Big Brother well that’s a feather in your Cap in my humble opinion.

the door of the restaurant has a sign saying service dogs are welcome. They are not! we took friends to dinner at the Dockhouse , restaurant we have enjoyed in the past. We asked to be seated outside and we were seated by the hostess in that area. We were enjoying a lovely evening and good food. towards the end of our dinner an employee approached us and told us we should not have a service dogs are on the patio. they are only allowed inside. My friend is obviously disabled physically. she has braces on both hands and a leg. she uses a walker for mobility. Her service dog was trained for two years by United Disability services. He assists my friend in many ways. He picks things up that she drops frequently. He can open doors for her, etc. He slept under our table the entire time we were there and didn’t make a sound. We were told the owner made everyone sign a paper that they would enforce the rule to keep service dogs inside only.
We informed them this rule is against the law, that service dogs can accompany their owner everywhere but an operating room. why they felt the need to confront us when we were almost done is bizarre. there are enough other restaurants in this area that we will not be returning. Other diners around us verbalized their support of us and a couple said they won’t be back either. An owner of a business-in the service industry should be aware of the law and the rights of the disabled and their support dogs. still very upset may friend and her dog were treated so poorly.

STOP ASKING FOR ACCESS TO MY PHOTOS!
Here’s a quick PSA for all who use google chrome, google wants to access your PRIVATE photos on YOUR device just because you want to save a funny meme you find online. You used to be able to click “save image” and it would actually do that, but now since google needs more data to help train their AI on, they want access to people’s personal photos. They are a terrible company for privacy and security and they have no respect for the consumer. Don’t buy a google pixel, just stick with iPhone since at least they try to have privacy features in place for the consumer. Finally, don’t use google chrome just use DuckDuckGo. Google if you ever read this, just stop being anti consumer, let people have their privacy! I would have considered purchasing some of your products (specifically your phones) in the past but given your track record, I never will now.

Unusable
Google collects more information about you than they let on and don’t care how it impacts you if they can make money from selling data. I know they are open about this, but it’s to the point where the app is completely unusable. I understand they’ve also made leaps forward, but they’ve taken it too far. Social media companies and google abuse their power. Privacy should be the default for any web browser. I was bullied online for years because my phone collected my personal data to an extreme. Apps shouldn’t have mic capabilities. The privacy settings do nothing. I was ganged up on when I’m a decent person despite assumptions people have. If google continues buying out other companies it’s game over. Given the current state of the internet, users who pay large amounts for phones already, can’t trust the tools they are presented with. Google is presented as friendly and ideal for expressing ideas when they’ll sell your information before you can even finish developing an idea to present. The internet is currently dominated by influencer cyberbullies who don’t even choose targets that are actually bad. Many of these companies shouldn’t be in power, but we’re stuck with them because they are intertwined with day to day life and basic functions. If this were Ready Player One, google, these social media apps etc, and many influencers are secretly Nolan Sorrento without people even knowing it’s happening. This intellectual property legal theft doesn’t just apply to art. It’s applicable to all fields of discovery and study. The internet as a whole has been rendered unusable due to data collectors, shady marketers, and more. It’s not just social media and google, most of these apps do the same thing. We can’t trust the tools we use to create because our ideas will be stolen and it will even be done legally. It’s designed to keep us on the bottom.

Time to say goodbye
I have gotten used to using Google Chrome to search for anything and everything that I could possibly think of. I’ve even used it to help me remember the name of something by just entering a few words to describe what I was looking for.
Today I read an article about protecting my identity and was advised to delete Google Chrome from my phone for security concerns. Given the fact that I am getting several scam messages via phone and text, I need to do my part to limit my exposure.
It’s unfortunate that with all the brainpower in this company and all the wonderful things that have been created as a result of these brilliant minds, protecting our information from getting into the wrong hands doesn’t seem to be a priority. I really can’t think of an app that has been more helpful than Google and I’m sad that I need to delete it.

Parker’s Auto Group LLC
Parker was very attentive, the item was as described and he was very reasonable and accommodating. He was thorough and seemed very honest. He answered all questions I had and assured me that he never sells cars that had suspension issues, or had air bags that were previously deployed, or had any other major issues. He talked to me about additional warranties to be obtained up to two weeks after my purchase. He even disclosed the approximate last oil change, and when to get the next one. I explained to Parker about my damsel in distress story, and how he was helping me today, to move on from domestic violence. I really appreciate his help, honestly and willingness to help. Update closed a window
I was updating and clicked chrome to use it and the update closed that window and all tabs. I had 2 windows though and the other window still is open with all it's tabs. So I lost a window and there isn't even a reopen closed window option like usual. Disappointed. I had trusted chrome to keep my tabs and this glitch was barely human error. I figured it at worst just wouldn't open until finishing the update install, not delete a window and close all the related tabs. 😥 What's more, I closed the app to see if it would come back and this closed the other window. When I opened the app I just had an empty window with a single blank tab. STUPID! And another thing is the recently closed tabs was working up until the 2nd time I closed the app. Now I don't even have that for ipad. Just my open tabs on the phone. Meanwhile the phone app doesn't show my tabs on other devices. That button is useless. Says my grouped tabs will appear here. Nothing has appeared there in the last month since an update removed functionality there. Might be time to switch browsers now. If you want people to use your browser you need to keep their tabs. Or else there's nothing keeping them from switching!

Still The Worst Browser You Could Ever Use
Desktop, mobile, Windows, Linux, doesn’t matter. This is THE worst browser. Even Edge is better than this trash. Slow, memory hogging, unstable browser no matter where you use it. This has to come along with all the Google bloatware, good thing Apple is left out, but they have their own bloatware. Delete all Google apps, but you still won’t be able to escape them. Also, it’s Gulf of Mexico. There goes Google, trying to erase history. Wish they’d stop bowing down to America’s tyrant like every company is. I wish we could have stopped him when we had the chance. Yes, this review is bias, but the first two paragraphs are fact.
Also, Firefox isn’t any better if you’re thinking of switching to it. Slow and unstable as Chrome, only a bit better, isn’t even nearly as private as other browsers, or things you could do yourself (thanks Mozilla), and they bow down to Google. Literally the only reason it still exists, but it’s a start. I wouldn’t recommend Firefox to anyone, but if you’re just looking to get away from Chrome, then it’s pretty good alternative for a beginner, but there is better when you move on.

Best Browser
After using this browser for almost 15 years, it’s a very reliable browser. It can literally be downloaded on any OS, I have it on an old iPad that can’t even download the App Store yet chrome runs perfectly fine. Although I do feel like chrome should implement a feature where if a site has way too many ads they automatically get blocked or ads get reduced because that’s a very common problem that I face. I also feel like chrome is decently customizable although there are still some options that could be implemented. Another massive problem that chrome has is that it’s very resource dependent, even though it can run fine on any device, the device must be able to give most of its resources to chrome, so if it had a limiter or was less resource intensive then I feel like it would be the PERFECT browser.

Why? Just why?
You think it’s cool to open a new tab and then put a search bar in the middle of the screen, right? It’s cool, right? Yeah, it’s cool. But, you know what? So, instead of giving the search bar the focus, let’s make the user click the search bar to make the keyboard open. And, let’s make sure they can’t do anything unless they take this unnecessary action. It’s cool to make users have to move their arm and finger unnecessarily. This is the 2020’s. People don’t know how advanced user interaction design is these days. They definitely didn’t know what they were doing back in the 90s and this is what elegance is. But, you know what? Let’s do something even more complicated because, you know, we’re cool. When you click the search bar, let’s move it like a flying carpet to another area of the screen. That’s really cool. I mean, using our software isn’t the point. Doing cool unnecessary stuff is the point. And you know what a really great side effect of this graphics effect? If the user happens to be trying to double click the text already in the search bar in order to refine it, the first click will register and make the search bar transport somewhere else and the second click will actually cause the user to pick an autosuggestion that they literally have no intention of ever clicking. Man, we must have had a 10 person team for months debating on how to make this the greatest user interface ever… because… you know… we’re COOL! In the decades I’ve been using Chrome, I’ve never considered using Safari, but Google, seriously, you’ve lost your edge.

Consistent, but Safari Wins..
Sorry, I used to LOVE Google Chrome Browser but lately, it just feels bloated and crammed full of ads, you can’t escape…
The Desktop version was a 4/5* but one issue with iOS is ALL “Browsers” rely on the exact same foundation as the Safari WebKit..
Safari will ALWAYS have the newest, greatest, least bloated, streamlined workflow, as it’s the Native app by design, that all others follow behind waiting.
Unless you really need features tied to Chrome or Google in general you have 0 reason to use anything but Safari. It’s not the developers fault, but it sure does feel like a major drawback a main reason why I will not be using iOS Chrome.
Safari already supports Extensions natively even AdGuard.. No reason to settle for another clone with more bells and whistles using you for ad revenue, providing no real value beyond what Safari and iOS already offer.
This is just another way for Google to attempt to maintain their monopoly. I have been using Safari and Google Search WITH extensions without excess ads and confusing UI/UX design just opening the app once I get a “Why do I even have this installed”
Do your own research though! Don’t take my word for it, maybe it will change but I doubt it. Apple has a chokehold on their OS and market share and is slowly also pushing me away, unless there is some major shift.

Good service but
Google chrome is a very good platform. A few things I don’t like is how all my pages stay open for ever in the background, yes there’s a setting for that I’m sure which brings me to my 2nd complaint. It is very hard to remember all the details of how, why and when I should use specific settings. I find myself searching for how to do a specific task, usually have to reference you tube to find what I assume should be easy. I feel the cookie settings should be universal and locked in. I really hate the seemingly pretend status of accepting no cookies only to be asked time and time again what I want, and then the radio buttons being very deceiving on a yes or no status…. Yeah yeah, that’s the web site, yes but it supposedly my browser???

Epic failure - lost all my tabs
I had quite a few tabs open, and when I was trying to press and hold to open a link separately, my finger moved ever so slightly and it caused the new tab to open in a really weird way. It was almost like split screen, but it just had a floating window beside all the other tabs. The only way to get rid of it was to kill the app. Well, when it re-opened, rather than open all my previously open tabs, guess what - it only opened the single weird one. I lost everything. Yes, I have syncing turned on. And if I wanted to dig through all my browsing history I may be able to find some of the tabs I had, but this has never happened before. I didn’t realize how much I relied on something so simple to work, and when it no longer does, it’s a huge letdown.

The worst
Google used to be something that was accurate to what you typed in, it was accurate to finding you information about what you typed in, and nowadays it just seems like it’s accurate to maybe one word not describing what you typed in, for example, if I typed in what not to put on a cake, it would explain to me what to put on a cake, now in the early to mid 2000s, it was accurate to an extent, now it has become upon its own means of its own depiction of what you have typed out even if you type it out plain Jane as can be, it will take the words you put in do not say and it will say them it will give you the most inaccurate answers for the most simplest of questions, I don’t understand how a billion company cannot even run the software properly, what is depicted as want to take no responsibility and how the third software works and that it has degraded rather than upgraded instead they want to blame the consumer claiming the consumer has not typed in the proper words for it to give an accurate search of what they’re asking for. you either need to shut down your engine and fix it properly or stop blaming consumers for the corporate corporations doing used to be good and big and accurate but now it is the most inaccurate and gives the worst depictions of anything I’ve ever seen in my life trying to search up information and giving the most inaccurate improper information ever, do not use search engine. It will not give you accurate information on the stuff that you type in it will go into its own narrative and its own narrative reasons of what you try to type in or try to tell you that it knows you better than you know you.

It Needs to Simplify Search subjects
I need to change the default Account so that it will more accurately reflect the “Sent From” account.
I also need to move all of the information currently in an account’s Workspace & I have been trying to do so. I don’t need, or want to compress it, I have more than enough space on a personal drive to store on, I just can’t move it onto that space, no matter how I try to do so it never works!!

I just want that eMail address account to work again instead of being locked up because of Workspace capacity?
3. With all of the new AI stuff, why can’t I ask a simple question, & receive a response I, or anyone else with only basic skills & no IT Department to try to fix a problem?
4. Why does GM, as a company, continue to lure account users into all of these services that they have no use for in the first place?

Mr. AMAN asked me to stop crying, but I expressed to him, that I had placed and order whereby I had purchased 2 gifts for him 1was to be given to him 3 days before his 1st birthday the 2nd to be given to him 4 days after his birthday, being that I wasn’t sure if I would be around for his birthday 🎂 because 3 days before his birthday l am scheduled for my 1st operation and my 2nd 4days after his 1st birthday 🥳. Mr. AMAN stated he would look into this matter. And he did see on Thursday the 19th, I was scheduled for my pre-op appointment with my Surgeon, lab 🧪 work etc. along with my pre administration. For some reason; Users will find that coping select text with-in text boxes will often be limited to either highlighting just one or all words, as The highlight bars surrounding a highlighted word with-in a task box are impossible to move just left or right with any accurate that Users find useful.
I’ve tried many times to move the left and right bars independently, but it will often highlight all words while
scrolling the text box up to the very top or very bottom.

Instead it will scroll the entire page or down instead while I’m attempting to highlight words with-in a text box, most commonly when I have zoomed-in on the page both to see either the text better with-in text boxes or in an attempt to make the bars bigger to interact with accurately.
The few times the highlight bars did work close to as intended, the blue highlight covering moved at a speed that is way too fast to be controlled accurately. It also chose to move with its up & downs inverted, so as I moved my finger down after I moved it right after reaching the side of the page’s text the highlight moves up; as I move my finger up after I move it left after reaching the side of the page’s text, the highlight moves down instead; all at a unusable speed that is too fast to be accurate for selecting a select group of words and/or sentences.
Webm videos won’t not play with-in the browser (this might be aproblem with older phones.

USED to be good
Google was my default search engine, and I use search a lot for my work. Recently, however, it has seriously declined. I will do a search for something very specific, and I am first shown add after add that is not relevant, and then shown many many things, none of which are relevant.
I did a search tonight with a very specific term. Of course, I had to wade through the ads, but the actual results literally had nothing to do with my search, and none of the results even included my keyword in it. It was like I searched for apples, and they showed me spaceships. Not even red spaceships, not even spaceship cakes you could eat, just spaceships.
Extremely disappointed. Just downloaded two other search engines. It’s very upsetting, because I have a lot of things tied to Google.

Koerper spreads his hate both verbally and through his undesirable offensive presents. This social freak of a being is a despicable crustacean and should be avoided. Those in the know shun this creeper at all costs.
Said crustacean is rumored to have a former mate and offspring in hiding.
Said crustacean being a SDSO {mentally disordered sex offender} responds to several residents as “despicable or disabled between the legs” as what is between another persons legs is of the soul interest of this sub human creeper.
Said crustacean can be seen viewing through a scope and binoculars various neighbors utilizing the pool and hot tub that his unit looks out on.
Said crustacean can be seen walking out the rear complex door heading to Brickyard Coffee and Tea where the owner and family loathe his presents in their shoppe.
Many merchants in the area discourage this stinker from frequenting their establishments using various methods to prevent him from frequenting their businesses. Upon carefully viewing this crustacean from afar you will note a pronounced and deliberate “Parkinson” shuffle as the crustacean slithers down a walkway.

New window drag option
This happens so many times it’s a nuisance. When using the app on my iPad, sometimes I will drag the tabs around to organize them and it will create a new window by accident when I didn’t meant them to. Then I have to copy and paste the link back into my current window and exit the new window away. However when I do this I believe I closed the new window, so when I go back on the chrome app guess what... all my 100 tabs are replaced by this one singular new window. Now I have to waste my time going back to my history trying to gain back all the lost tabs I had. If this keeps happening I might have to use a different browser. I only use this app because i already have the chrome browser downloaded on all my devices and I like the feature of seeing my bookmarks all shared between my devices. I’m praying that they create a disable option for this.

New "Start Surface" is terrible
For some reason, Chrome decided to replicate the universally hated and immediately revoked Firefox experiment where instead of simply returning to your last tab when you open the app, it opens a useless new tab page with a "Return to last tab" button. This isn't useful and starts my Chrome experience with annoyance and frustration as I have to click around to get back to where I was, instead of just being there already. Firefox had to revert this immediately because it's awful and annoying; I don't know why Chrome is now imitating it.
It's also (deliberately?) well hidden in chrome://flags - not findable by searching "new" or "tab" or "return", but only if you already know the keyword "Start Surface". At least you can disable it if you do manage to find it, but it shouldn't be the default AND it should be manageable in the top-level settings.

Worst Chrome Update in History!
I decided to get the chrome browser because recently google has made the Google Account settings for iPhone users so insanely limited and difficult to use on Safari that I was forced to download Chrome. When I downloaded it my main consolation was that at least I could access the chrome extensions by customising the experimental features on the chrome flags site. Then I downloaded this joke of an app and discovered to my horror that Google has completely removed ALL the useful features that the chrome flags site used to have. They’ve even removed the toolbar and menu options, and when you go to read Google’s help articles for instructions on how to customise the app all those instructions are still written for the previous update so they’re literally useless and inaccurate instructions meaning you aren’t even allowed to be given instructions on how to use this radically different chrome app. So essentially Google doesn’t want you to be able to customise their app in any way shape or form, and they’ve decided that we shall all be forced to share the same boring non-customisable browser experience. And what’s sad is that the only thing that used to set Chrome apart from other browsers was the wonderful chrome store with its countless extensions and plugin options. Now chrome is just a useless app no better than the Google’s page on safari with no purpose besides tracking your data and rapidly draining your battery. I’m deleting this travesty and get Edge or Firefox, literally any app browser would be better than Chrome after this disgraceful update. And I’m ending my Google Suite Enterprise subscription and transferring my data from Google’s cloud services. There must be other companies with better alternatives than this mess. This update has made it clear that Google’s new bussines model is set on punishing iPhone users for not having androids instead of innovating better apps or making useable products. And if google thinks these limitations for iOS apps will convince iPhone users to buy a Google phone then they’re sorely mistaken.

I’ve been using the mobile version of Chrome ever since it came out. I loved it! It was always super quick, it was familiar and easy to use, and you can use your plugins with it.
It wasn’t until recently when things went downhill. There are so many bugs with it now, and some that have been there for literally half a year that have been left unaddressed. From a massive company like Google, you’d think they try to fix these issues, right? Well, if I rotate my phone, the window just will not work for me. It will shrink the size and just be incredibly frustrating to use. This bug has been with me since SEPTEMBER of 2020. Four months this issue has been here, and the Chrome forum/FAQ is reporting the same issue. It has not been fixed, and I feel like they haven’t even attempted to fix it. I had to move back to Safari because it’s just not full of bugs and issues.
I really like Chrome for a lot of reasons, but when bugs and other issues have been left unfixed for this long, it’s just not worth my time anymore. Once these bugs are fixed, this will be back on top, but in the meantime, I’d recommend to not waste your time and energy using this browser.

Seamless and neat
First I’d like to start off by saying I have no idea why people leave reviews complaining about Chrome’s lack of security and not giving the user personal space online. Pretty much everyone I know uses Chrome, unless there’s some sort of issue with their specific model of computer that can’t run it without glitching. Even my parents who are tech nerds and have full time career jobs where they NEED all of their information secure still use chrome and encourage both my brother and I to use google products ESPECIALLY gmail and calendar. I myself have grown up using chrome from the days I was first learning to type until now as I’m an adult about to start college and writing this review. While there was some time during the quarantine where I played around with the idea of using a different browser, I kept coming back to this one. Why? Because it’s seamless and neat and works like a charm. Keeps all my passcodes secure and convenient to access while giving me a seamless browsing experience especially in the latest updates. Everything loads super fast, and images appear crisp and as high definition as my iPad Pro 2020 can render them. The bookmarking feature on mobile could be slightly improved, and I do miss my shortcuts when browsing on iPad instead of my computer, but otherwise it works 100% exactly the way I wanted to. I’ve tried many, many browsers, including Opera, Firefox, Edge/Bing, and DuckDuckGo (which i keep in case I really want to have a super secure browsing session, which is rare) and more, but chrome is by far the best and most convenient. I’ve even tried the alternative mobile app, Google, and while it seems more obviously feature rich, I absolutely hate the layout and much prefer the far more popular Chrome app for its simplicity and power. So if you’re really that worried about chrome not being secure enough for you, think about exactly what data you don’t want them to track, stop complaining about it to other people, and download a browser like DuckDuckGo which was made for people who value their online privacy.

Autofill is a nightmare
Autofill does not work majority of the time. I will be clicking on my information and it won’t work. Also when I use autofill for credit card in Shopify, it makes me autofill for every slot! One time for cc number, again for name, and again for exp date. Also for some cards it prompts me to enter my last three digits to verify even though I’ve used the card on the browser already. And when I need to verify for every slot when autofilling my cc, then I might as well enter it manually. I love not getting hit with captcha for using chrome but with all these set backs it’s quicker to check out with safari. This is where safari outshines any browser. Their autofill is amazing. One click and it fill outs everything. Unfortunately chrome is the worst browser in the App Store. Even Firefox and opera autofill works better.
Also the refresh on this browser is retarded. Because you need the scroll down to refresh and scroll down+right to close the page, it’s very easy to accidentally close the page when trying to refresh. Does google not know it’s very common for fingers to accidentally drift right or left while scrolling up and down?? Also bookmarks are so inconvenient to access, these things should be accessible with a click or two at the most. With safari I just click on the url as if I was gonna type in a new url and all my favorites show up right on the main page. This is honestly the most user unfriendly browser ever. The one good thing I’ll say about chrome is how it keeps you on current page when opening a new tab. Every other browser switches to the new page when opening a tab and that’s the one thing I love about iOS chrome but overall very crappy browser. Would not recommend.

Old look is dead
Google officially killed the old look of Chrome. You used to be able to revert to the older and more functional layout by adjusting hidden flags. This was removed in the latest update and I really hate it. The new look makes everything too big. Finding tabs is actually harder and the new tab manager makes tabs not “feel” like web pages. Every time I open a new tab I almost hit the “close all” button which would be catastrophic. This looks closer to Safari than ever. If I wanted Safari, I’d just use it since it’s already in my phone. Google should be setting themselves apart and pushing the standards and not following other tech companies.
I also just don’t understand why the new “in” look is flat graphics, oversized buttons or icons, and huge amounts of wasted whitespace. I have a large phone. I don’t need help with giant menus and buttons that look like they were designed for a senior citizen who forgot their glasses. And what does Google have against labels on the bottom menu bar and in the tab switcher? Sometimes I like to read what I’m about to select before I touch it.
The one good thing is the compact menu. It’s concise and reachable.
Bring back the customizability that used to exist in software and let me choose how I make my own device look. I don’t need to be forced into the user experience that you think I want.

Visually nice, functionally very frustrating
So I’ve been using chrome from the moment i could way back on my iphone 5. It was just straight better than safari in every way. This update has me a tad concerned.
I will say some of the new visual tweaks are lovely, and while i like them more on the desktop version, i still think they work well on the mobile app. The change to the tab list in particular, while shocking at first, is actually quite nice both visually and functionally.
But please please please at least make it an OPTION to change the navigation bar/tool bar back to the way it was, or even just move it back to the top if the new style is a must stay. I read that it was moved to the bottom for easier navigation but it does nothing to help me in any way. In fact the bottom tool bar is the main reason I abandoned safari in favor of chrome in the first place.
I have rather large thumbs and they drift onto the screen every now and again. Before that was no big deal, but now it means i keep accidentally navigating away from the page i was on or pulling up the tab window. It’s also made clicking links near the bottom of a page a major pain since the bar pops up OVER the web page, rather than being safely outside the page as it was before.
I in no way want to stop using chrome, i think it’s a wonderful browser, but if i can’t move the main function bar back to an actually useful location, i know my frustrations are gonna get the better of me sooner rather than later and i’ll have to jump ship.

My favorite Browser.... but
Google Chrome for a long time, has been my favorite browser across every device I use. Whether it’s my MacBook, or my iPad or iPhone, I always insist on having it. If I use another friends phone that doesn’t have it, I download it immediately. It’s safer, smoother, easier to navigate, gets rid of the “phone browser” feel, and allows me to navigate the application with ease due to its similarities to its sister computer based application/browser.
But, I hate this new update. One of my main reasons that I chose to use Google Chrome over Safari was its look and feel. Yes Chrome is more consistent in performance, and in my opinion, a safer and more secure application all around, but it was also because of the design of its platform. It looked like a browser, not some dumbed down phone based application browser that’s difficult to look at and navigate, this new update has done just that.
It’s almost identical to safari now, it’s feel on startup is lack luster and it’s left me to question the desire to change to this style of layout.
Updates are meant to be advantageous, forward moving and thinking, to me, this feels like 15 steps back, and a giant step to the side to fall in line with Apples subpar safari browser.
Not impressed.
I’d rather give this a 1 star review because I dislike this new design that much, but I can’t ignore the backend performance that is still there so 4 it is.
I hope the team at Google reconsiders this new “look and feel” and goes back to one of the main reasons that made them stand out from the others.

Problem saving bookmarks
Right now, it is really annoying to save bookmarks. My Bookmark Bar has 14 main folders and 186 subfolders (yes, I just counted), plus hundreds of actual bookmarked sites. The bookmarked sites don't show up while I try to save a new bookmark... but the 186 subfolders do. So if I need to save a new bookmark, this app forces me to scroll past ALL of my folders and subfolders (which this app alphabetizes - meaning they are NOT arranged in the order I have them on desktop) to FIND the folder I want to Save Bookmark in. This is ridiculous. I would LOVE to be able to FIRST select one of the 14 main folders in my Bookmarks Bar, and THEN scroll to the correct subfolder and simply save the new bookmark. Funny enough, this is the EXACT system you have in place for FINDING a bookmark that I've already saved. Sooo... you have a great system in place for FINDING a bookmark, but SAVING A NEW ONE is a nightmare. If you could find it in your hearts to update this, I'd be hugely grateful!!

Keeps crashing
I’m not exactly sure which version of chrome I was using before I decided to give in and update (I’m a firm believer of if it’s not broken, don’t fix it) but I decided that it had been long enough and an update was on order. Big mistake. The cosmetic changes (aka the list of articles at the bottom of the new tab screen which function just like twitters search page.....I can just go on twitter for that??) I’m willing to overlook, but history and bookmarks no longer being able to stay open as their own page?? I guess this wouldn’t be as big of an issue if it wasn’t for the fact that the app is constantly crashing! Before I updated, crashes were few and far in between (and I’m the type of person that sometimes has like 60+ tabs open), but now I’ll have 10 tabs open, switch over to twitter and come back to just the chrome logo and the app refusing to open. Which brings me to the next issue: when the app crashes, it no longer gives me the restore tabs option. What?? So now I have to go to history and search for each website link one by one because A- the history page forces me to hit done if I want to view a different tab and B- when I select a link in history and choose the “open in new tab” option...it’ll automatically close out the history page all on its own once the new page opens. WHY? After I just spent forever searching through days and days worth of links just to find once specific page I had open??? I never review apps but I’m honestly just so frustrated because I’ve been using chrome ever since it was first released back in 2008 and on my smartphone as soon as I got one and have never had any major issues...until now. Honestly I’m willing to ignore everything if the app would just STOP CRASHING every 10 days and closing out all my of tabs without giving me the restore option. 😪 I am annoyed.

New problem? 3/1/18
Google Chrome has always worked pretty well, giving fast and relevant results on searches, no real complaints until recently. Not sure if it's only me but I have come across a problem where my searches won't load... the one purpose of the app but now it just isn't working. I still haven't found the real problem, I have full bars on data, and I've used full bars on wifi, tried on different wifi sources -everything else on my phone works perfectly and as expected without an issue- but regardless through all the troubleshooting I've went through and checking settings within my phone and the app itself's settings, I can't get an explaining for why it just busted unexpectedly. I haven't installed an update on my phone for a while so that couldn't be what's tampering with it, so I'm just stuck. This started around yesterday, so it's a fairly new problem. Like I said I've done all the troubleshooting I could, but it's simply just the app not working. I can open the app, open/close windows, do anything on the main screen of a new tab, although as soon as I type in something, anything, it will do the blank white screen as if it's loading a page for results (I can see the URL at the top) but alas, no results. I've waited a solid few minutes on it to load every time I put in a search but after awhile it gives me the "took too long" and "try again" stuff and of course after trying again and again, no change in results.
I really like the app it was doing a job well done until this problem arose for me. I'm just going to leave this review so maybe it'll be noticed and fixed, in the meantime I'll be looking around on my laptop for some answers.

Since iOS 11 its terrible
More often than not I get pages that are only half loaded. Doesn’t matter how long I wait it only loads half the page which isn’t so helpful. And Google don’t point fingers at the webmasters for these pages because you will have some pointing back at you as I have had Google search pages only load half way too. The other main problem I have is the crashing. While this absolutely isn’t specific to iOS 11 it has been an issue with all iOS versions and all app iterations it just seems to be worse since the into of 11. I hate Safari with an absolute passion but I have been forced to use it I it makes me crazy, come on guys do a girl a solid and get it together will ya!
