Guide the Princess from the shadows in Skeleton Form, switching to Hero Form when it's time to mount a gallant offense! Can you spring the Princess from the castle?

Aid the Princess in her flight from the Dark Lord's castle, guarding her from traps and enemies as you strike an artful balance between both Skeleton and Hero Forms--each boasting a palette of unique abilities and traits. Can you safely guide your royal counterpart to the flower at the end of each area? Succeed, and the fairytale will further unfold!
Deep gameplay and whimsical storytelling come together in a resplendent production you can pick up and play--as well as save and stop--anytime you please! Equal parts action and puzzle, a new kind of fairytale awaits you!
・The Story
Once upon a time, the Princess of a faraway land ruled in tranquility--until she was kidnapped by the scheming Dark Lord.
The Dark Lord was bent on making the unwilling Princess his bride. Locking her away in his castle, he ordered a skeleton to keep a stern watch over his prize. The docile henchmen kept to his orders... at least at first.
The weeping beauty before the skeleton conjured strange feelings. Yes, he wanted to return the Princess to her former life, away from the Dark Lord's marital machinations! And so it was the lowly skeleton betrayed his master and set the Princess free.
But can the pair make it out of the castle in one piece? Our story begins...

Perfect blend of action & puzzle!
The visuals I found very unique & charming. The princess you guide needs your help, but thankfully is no lemming. She runs away from monsters & doesn't walk off cliffs. I like how the stages are short, but continous. The puzzle aspect makes the game not another mindless "run to the end."
My girlfriend doesn't play videogames, but she adores Dokuro. She thanks me for it.

Excellent game
I love this game, simple as that, it have a nice of touch of feelings specially the end (if you played all the story you will get the last message).
They really need another sequel for it.

Excellet recimmended
Highly recommended for puzzle and plattform lovers, like super mario or leprechaunt world.. I want more updates and levels.. Maybe more transformations in creatures could be great!!

A combination of Super Mario And Limbo
Best platformers game on iOS. This game gives you a Limbo and Mario like gaming experience. Limbo like puzzle and Mario like boss fight both combine into one. A much play game for iOS gamer who love platformers game.

Unlikely hero.
Absolutely love this game! It's a great mash up of 2d platformer and puzzler. The game has a creative story line, charm and perfectly matches up with the games chalk like graphics. Kudos to the developers on creating a unique game that has different elements and making it work. I've been looking for a game like this for a long time.

Great puzzle platformer with unique artwork
GungHo deserves a lot of credit for localizing Dokuro to the English-speaking world, as this is a challenging puzzle platformer game with unique, charming artwork that evokes shadowbox puppetry theaters, an artform that has steadily lost ground to newer forms of entertainment on the television or on the computer screen. Everyone from children to adults can find something to love in this game.

A must own for puzzle/platformer fans
This is exactly the type of creative, deep, and well thought out game I've thought has been few and far between on iOS. I paired this with the MadCatz mfi controller and it is like my iPhone 6 has become a top tier game console. Dokuro is well worth your time and cash. Whimsical and brilliant.

Was Awesome, now buggy
I've had such a great time playing this game. The levels have been challenging, but not too long. They've done well progressing the game so that it doesn't become stale, good environments and a fun little story. I was on the last level, played a little bit at a time over months. Now since IOS 8.0, now 8.02, I've lost all my data, tried to start over and it crashes constantly. Plus it won't save. 😪

Skeleton man sure knows how to treat a lady.
Later the skeleton,can change into a prince, check it out guys its awesome. Combat is great too. Puzzles aswell. Im glad this sort of games exist.

Favorite iphone game
This game is awesome. The latest update added "ads," but only on the title screen, and the only one i've seen was a link to download dokuro wallpapers. So yeah, if that sounds frightening to you then i guess you might not want to download it. But the game is very fun, challenging at times, and looks great. I love everything about it.

An update that *added* Ads?!?!
Dokuro is a PAID game, and yet this new update decides to add Advertisements to the main screen? Really? REALLY???
If you're considering buying this for the first time, don't. The game itself isn't bad, it's one of trial and error with nice graphics/aesthetics. For them to suddenly try and put in the ads though, is just plain insulting.
If you've already got the game and are thinking of updating (because you read these reviews first before tapping that ol'Update button) then please, don't.

One of the best games out there
This game is the perfect blend of action, strategy, and puzzle solving combined with adorable yet creepy graphics, a nice soundtrack, and funny/cute sound effects.
Dokuro is the model that all games should strive to be.

Eh.. I like the art
Games kinda boring at first. All you do is jump and attack using the same moves over and over and over again.. The puzzle strategy is always fun. To be honest i was expecting something a little different but I'm not gunna lie it's a great time killer. The art is very intriguing and somewhat mystical and beautifully gothic, sorta reminds me of the nightmare before Christmas.

Im surprised
Its like super mario but with a skeleton. Such a great game. Its dark but what your doing in the story is the opposite and its nice. Id pay twice the amount for this game.

Amazing Game!
I usually don't spend money on games, but the artwork on this one caught my eye. It was so worth buying! It has a nice album, artwork is really great, a very nice story and it it adorable while very adventurous :)! I highly recommend; especially if you love puzzle games!
