- Dropbox will drop API V1 support in June, we have implemented Dropbox V2 API in ATracker. If user has dropbox sync enabled in ATracker, Dropbox sync needs to be re-enabled in ATracker manually again, as Dropbox need to revalidate the user account access. Quick , Clear & Easy
First off, I had a question the day I bought the app, which was on a Sunday, and got a Quick, Clear & Easy answer within an hour. I think this experience explains the app as well. I'm using the app for my freelance business in combination with a spreadsheet that I color coordinated with the tasks in my app. I've tried using other apps for organizing without success, but this one is the real deal.

Great app, reliable and simple interface
I love that I can use my apple watch and have this as a complication. I realized recently that time is more important than money in my current stage of life, but I don't track time like I do my finances. So this has given me a lot of insight and hard data about how I spend my time. Thank you!

This application is fantastic and easy to use. It reports out your time into an excel spreadsheet. This app has saved me a lot of time trying to submit my time cards for work. I would however like the ability to maintain the tasks in an excel spreadsheet and be able to import the tasks into the app rather than having to type each task in manually. Hopefully in a future update.

Like the app, but please add a recently/most used or favorites section for the icons you can set for each task. Shouldn't need to to scroll through all of them every time I want to use the icon again.

Works flawlessly
I have used this app to track my daily life since December 2015. I record how much time I spend at school, work, working out, on Reddit, gaming, watching movies, etc.
I used to-do lists for a long time and kept switching which one I used, trying to find one that felt satisfying to mark something off the list. The problem with to-do lists is that they don't incentivize you to do one task that would take as long as three; so at the end of the day, you may look back and think you've only gotten one thing done. With A-tracker, I've switched my way of thinking. I've been able to use my time more effectively and look back on my day/week/month and see where I need to make improvements.
Wonderful app. If you want to figure out how you're spending the 24 hours you're getting every day, this is the app for you.

Best time tracker yet
Just bought the pro version this week, and it's totally worth it! Love the ease of entering and switching tasks, as well as the reporting and history. Sorting on the main screen would he nice, since I have more tasks than fit on the screen. And being able to put more common tasks at the top would be nice. Maybe I just didn't figure that out yet. Either way, great app!

BEST APP FOR SELF AWARENESS
If you truly want to improve your life, you need this app. The only way to better yourself is to see what your wasting time on. I carry around my old ipod because this app is SOO useful and unfortunately not available on Samsung phones. Buy it, make it a habit to track every second, and watch as you TRANSFORM.

Using everyday
Easy-to-use, great UI. I use it several times every day to keep track of my commute, work, housework stuff, etc. It is awesome.
I can select a date range to see total hours I worked, sleeped, commuted, etc. I can also see them as 'per/day' items both for weekdays, weekends, and all week separately. I can also export everything as a spreadsheet.

I have used many productivity apps such as "hours" and "planner pro" and I hands down love this one the most. The variety of options for analysis and the incredible user interface are the best in a time tracking app I have seen. However, one thing this app does not have that others do have, such as "hours," is a desktop version that syncs with the phone. If I could see all of this on my laptop as well, this would make it an unbeatable app, but the lack of a desktop version is a big downside for me.

Great app
This is a great app for taking care of your time. Keep it organized and on your calendar. The only thing that I wish that was added as a sink button with your calendar. Sometimes you have to wait for it to sync with your calendar and that's a pain. Other than that this is the best app for my situation. I am a technician that has jobs everywhere daily. I use this app all the time it's easy to start and stop tasks to make sure customers get billed for time on a job. I would recommend this app to all businesses.

Fantastic app!
I love this app. One of the best features is that can view daily, monthly, and custom reports, which makes preparing billing reports super easy. It's also accessible through the iPhone's lock screen, although you see only the first five or six projects on the screen and have to go to the full app for the rest. That is the only inconvenience (pretty minor) - would be nice to have your full list of projects accessible through the lock screen.

Everything I wanted and more

Decent app for time tracking. A bit expensive.
Overall works as described. It helps me track my time and where I'm spending on.
Only 3 stars for following reasons:
1) UI is outdated and poor
2) Notification widget though useful is very cluttered and and use updates
3) Price is quite high for the functionality. About $2.99 is right IMHO
In any case with about downsides all is else is fine app does it job and is stable.

Great but the info disappears
I loved the ability to create activities, the ease with which to start and end them, the ability to edit when I forgot to start or end them, and the reports, especially the custom dates reports. It was great for tallying hours spent in projects at work and for seeing where my time was going at home. But then I had an issue with my phone, had to uninstall and reinstall all my apps. All the ATracker tracking and categories disappeared. Really bad for my work projects. It needs to be backed up in the cloud. If it weren't so great otherwise, I would have given it one star. I've stopped using it since.

Far and away the best ...
... time tracker I've tried. I especially appreciate the charts -- I run a small business, and the pie chart helps me see how much I work (a lot), sleep (not enough, but less bad than I thought), and spend with family (um, well). And the ability to EASILY correct miss-logged time settings. Great product!

The More I Use It, The Better I Like It
I use the app every work day to track how my time it spent (or wasted) on various tasks. The ability to add a note to a task that has been logged helps explain what that task involved weeks later when I don't recall how something kept me tied up half the day. The app provides charts and exports the data, all very handy when you need to demonstrate how crazy the job has become.

Where is your time going?!
Great app, wish I had found it sooner. It really helps motivate me to stay on track and allows me to see where my time is really going. Every time I wish the app had a feature, I look around and discover it already has it! For example, you can automatically delete tasks under 1 min in case you accidentally click on them and cancel. You can also choose what time you want the day to start (default is midnight). Basically this app is very well thought out. Nice work!

I have been using this for a year, no issues, very easy to use, have sent history to excel for analysis and it provides very good info on your time, a simple effective way to see where time gets spent and with notes it does all I need, this app is on iphone5

Apple Watch needs the option to add a note after each log
I adored the app except for a few flaws below
1.Apple Watch app needs to be able to add a note after each log! Some previous update allow you to do that using the microphone on Watch and speech to text recognition, but not the most recent update.
2. I use the app across iPad,iPhone, and Apple Watch with iCloud syncing. The accuracy and time lag has improved a lot over the last few updates, but it still isn't perfect yet. Sometimes the devices still can't synchronize with each other on real time, and it causes some false logs.
I sent the developers team an email for feedback but never heard back from them. I hope it would be brought to their attention if a review is posted here.
Hands down, great app, best one on the market at least. I'll come back and revise the rating to 5 stars as soon as the bugs are fixed.

This app is perfect for tracking time spent on projects. I use it both in the tap mode and the add-manual mode, both work flawlessly.

I used to use this app, but had to give up because the sync between my iPhone and iPad was constantly deleting categories and events. I just decided to try it again. I am no longer experiencing issues with the Dropbox sync, but now every time I record a session on my Apple Watch, it's immediately deleted when I open my iPhone app. My sense is that the features on this otherwise useful app aren't sufficiently tested before release, making it too unstable to be useful.

The Best!
Very happy with this app. Made the switch recently from Hours without looking back (supported Hours for a long time and eventually had to move on). ATracker is what Hours was awhile ago before it tried to do too much (and failed). ATracker is simple, efficient and reliable. The Watch app works well too.
To the developers: Please don't try to implement too many features! Just be good at what you do: simple time tracking. GUI could use a little updating at some point, but not essential.

Fast entry...handles both volume & detail
Great app! I have 130+ activities that I keep track of...app runs smoothly, never crashes or lags.
The app allows me to arrange activities in my logical order with an extensive assortment of icons for grouping and quick recognition.
Good sorting allows me to review past actions/actions. If needed, I can add descriptive notes, paste email, etc. for each entry.
IMHO, iCloud sync would be a helpful addition so that I could smoothly switch between my iPhone & iPad.
I manage now by exporting data and loading/replacing data on the target device I want to use…not the best practice but it works and is worth the trouble compared to the many other time tracker apps I have tried.

Very good time tracking app
I have tired most of the available time tracking app. A tracker pro is very easy to use and full set of functions. Although it is not that good at time using analysis, we can always do it with excel. However, I do hope they can have more icon for different items. Also it will be Bette if we can have more than multiple levels of categories for things an projects other than just two: category and project name.

So figured out a nickname for myself after retyping my review. So lame apple is for stopping me from submitting my review. The previous review From: "Name" was taken, so it exited me and my beautiful long thought out review out the window, oh well. Here we go again... Minus 1 star.
So I sort of like this app, three stars. But the problem is this, it's sort of complicated. I mean – the funnel should be the category title, and category title color coded only. The description is irrelevant. When you look at the pie chart, you will see what I mean and maybe have a small break down.

Overall ATracker Pro tracks time well, and provides intuitive graphs that show you how
you’ve spent your time. I especially like the Watch app, since I can quickly start and stop

I frequently use multiple devices to track my time, and unfortunately I noticed that the
Dropbox sync stopped working after a few days. Also, there’s no multitasking support so it's not possible to use ATracker PRO in split view or slide over mode on my iPad to see
how I’ve been spending my time.

Essential App
This is an app that would be in everyone's top 20 apps to download!! It is very polished, works well, can run in the background or when the phone is locked, doesn't drain battery like crazy, and it is supported enough to be prepared for all the latest iOS updates.
I recommend getting the paid version. It's just simpler that way: more icons, more listing, ad-less? (Do they still have ads in free version?), more icons to choose from, etc.
Great app to have to show me where my time goes and to shame me (this I do, the app doesn't shame you) when I know I have been slacking. Great app for the student/ adult who wants to maximize their days.
My school has a "suggested" formula for hours to study per every unit of a course taken. This allows me to face the reality of where I need to add more studying in. I divide my individual classes into separate tasks and record from there. I love this app.
Play around with it. Can seem a bit hectic to some newcomers. But a very useful app!

Great App
Very useful app. Does exactly what it claims to do. Takes only a few minutes to set up and then only seconds to track your time for the day. Perfect for those of us with CRS. You can go back and find the data you need. Additionally, you can export to a csv file and use search tools in excel etc. Good basic app that doesn't over complicate time tracking.

One of my most useful apps
I originally bought this app to track how much time I was studying for university class. Been using this app since January. I learning so many things about myself, that I was not expecting. Sleep, total work hours, shadow work, time wasted watch TV, how much time I spend excerising, etc..etc. truly a transformation app. In regards to my life. Not only that, but it's a great app. Simple. Easy to use. Does everything that you need.. Well worth the price.

Finally an app that makes tracking time easy
Whether you were a manager or someone who just wants to know how they're spending their time, this app makes the process beyond easy.
One update I'd like to see in a future update would make it simpler to select what items to track in the pie chart. If one wants to use this app for work but they're using it also for personal then it's currently time-consuming to go in and turn things on and off.

So good I bought the paid version!
I wasted time looking for a better alternative but couldn't find one. I'm a business owner trying to find out where my time goes, and this app finally helped answer that question. The ROI from being able to track that is tremendous. Well worth the $4.99 upgrade. The one touch task tracking is pure genius, and having the widget from the lockscreen was another stroke of genius to make this even easier to use. Nice job devs!

Better than I expected, widget a little off...
I was looking to be more productive. While I was searching for a to do list, I stumbled upon this app. I got the light version, when I learned I can only do for activities at a time, I considered buying the pro version. I was a little hesitant due to the five dollar price tag, after reading some good reviews I bought it, and have not regretted it. This is my first day using it, just keep me on task. It's A glorified to do list. The widget is a little difficult to use, as it takes a while to load. I'm sure there is a fix or a setting for though. Good app, glad I bought it. There is supposed to be a dollar IAP to unlock unlimited activities, but I couldn't find it.

Widget that works!
I had switched to another app because it offered a Notification Center widget for quick access. In practice it never worked properly and just caused headaches trying to figure out why times weren't adding up.
Thankfully Atracker has done it right. I can switch between items quickly with the widget and know that it will actually track my time correctly.

So Worth It!
Had another app for this function, but it didn't update, so had to find another. Fortunately, I found ATracker! As a teacher/husband/father/writer, I love to see how I spend my time in order to spend it better in the future.
Additionally, as a coach, being able to show my administration how much time I spend with the team really improves my evaluation scores.
Absolutely worth the money! I even tell my students to try it out!

Exactly What I Needed
This app is the perfect tool for collecting the time I spend on each task I do at work. I have to report my effort at the end of each work day for some times a dozen or more individual tasks. The capture and export features of this app greatly simplify my record-keeping.
The only thing I'd like to see added is an option to allow the main screen to organize the task list by the most recently timed tasks.

Time tracking app
Pretty nice time tracking application. Easy to create tasks, record the amount of time you spend on them, organize them into categories, and track your usage over time for everything. Very good at what it does. No significant complaints beyond a small amount of lag when switching to this application from another one, but that may just be a feature of the iOS.

The Way Time Management Should Be
There are lot of gimmicks that use fancy jargon to put tasks and projects into various buckets. A good example of that is "Getting Things Done" which never worked for me.
From my perspective, as the owner of a successful business, the purest and most direct way manage your time, is to simply track the amount of time you spend on productive and unproductive activities during the course of a day.
This app does that really well without introducing distractions as the Pomodoro method does.

No widget?! No iCloud sync?!
Would be a great purchase if the app had everything advertised, but it's sadly lacking. I was looking forward to tracking my billable hours easily between my iPad and iPhone using this app. Without iCloud that's difficult because I cannot use both platforms. Was also looking forward to the ease of accessing app as widget, but that feature is unavailable. This should be clearly noted. Should have read the "fine print" instead of relying on pictures. You could say that's my fault, but feels more like false advertising. That's what I get for buying the "pro" version before giving the free one s test drive.

There are not enough superlatives to describe this app!
I set this app up on my iPad and it couldn't have been easier. I set up several different categories and started using it immediately. As I shift from one category of time usage to another, I simply tap the category I'm shifting to and that starts the timer on the new category and stops the timer for the category I moved from. At the end of the day, I have a really nice pie chart that captures my time usage for the day, by category. If you forget to tap a change category, you can easily edit the entry. This is going to really help me focus on the tasks that I want to focus on and avoid the time-wasters that I so easily fall into. This is just a great, great app!!

Just what I was looking for!
So easy to track where my hours are going. Create categories, then just one-click to switch between activities. Great pie charts showing the breakdown over any time interval.
Two suggestions:
- Simpler interface to retroactively start an activity. I often forget to click until some minutes later, and it would be nice to have the previous activity end and new activity start in the past.
- Pre-planning tools, scheduling activities and then using those as suggestion for next activity. And comparison of scheduled vs actual.

Highly Recommended
This is a great time tracking app at a very reasonable price. Ability to both use it as a timer (touch to start an activity) and/or enter/edit times via the calendar after is great! Love that I can set my day to start at a specific time and not 12am (I'm a night owl and usually work well past midnight so this feature is awesome for me!) I also love that it syncs between my iPhone and iPad (I guess its a beta function but its working for me right now) as I'm always switching between devices. To be safe I always close the app after I'm done using it on one device. Plus the breakdown graphs work better on a larger screen IMO. Had a question about syncing and the developer replied to my email within hours! Amazing customer service!! Highly recommend this app!!! If you are unsure try the free version first, but I'm sure once you see how great the app functions you will be purchasing the full version like I did.

Easy to operate, convenient
Pros: very easy to operate. Enjoy the option of customization. Enjoy the different graphs and the fact this is just a tool/tracker not so much a "suggestion generator". Also love the icons and colors for each activity
Cons: not too fond of the "click to start" bc I usually go back and log not log during action/activity. Click to track option is very annoying
Other than that. I would recommend this app to like minds and beyond

Couldn't be easier!!!
This app is very user friendly - simple to use and understand. Currently I am using it to see where and how my time is spent at work. Over the past week I shared that information with management who appreciated the easy to read detail the app provides.
The only wish I had would be to have the option to deprecate my day. Meaning that I bought this app to use at work, but I would also like to use it in other areas in my life without having to share all collected data/info. If there was project titles or something that would be nice. That was I could use it for work separate from home life separate from service projects (and possibly combine them in one other report if I so choose).

Fantastic Tracker
The app does what it claims. I've been using it for about a week and I'm very pleased. I was impressed with the intuitiveness of the interface and how quickly you can just jump right in and use it - it doesn't get in your way. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to track time in a very detailed manner, more than worth the price.

Best App Ever
I'm required to track my billable hours for work and it's easy to forget to log in my time, especially when I have to juggle multiple projects at once. This app is a lifesaver - with a tap, I can track the exact time I spend on each of my projects. No more guessing my time spent. This app is worth every penny (and more) and I recommend it highly.

Paid for itself after one day
I love this application. I am required to track my time each day by project. Since it's on my phone, I can track time whether I'm in my car or at my desk. The one button click for starting and stopping, the prompt for a note after stopping, and the export via email to my desktop for time entry at the end of the day are extremely efficient. I have about 20 different projects I work on throughout the day, and it used to take me an hour every evening to log my work for the day. Now I can do the same thing in five minutes.
I didn't notice the setting that allows for prompting for a note after each entry, and the developer responded within a few hours explaining how to do it.

Great concept, execution needs some improvement
I just got this app and it does exactly what I need, but:
1) Entering activities is VERY cumbersome and the Help screens are pretty useless. It took me some time to figure out that the "add task" button on the daily calendar automatically adds the task at the top of the non-alphabetical list. You have to put your task at the top of that screen and then go back to the calendar to add it. Very klutzy.
2) There appears to be a bug. I had to change the end time of an activity manually. The change showed up on the calendar column, but not in the notation to the left of the calendar column.

Incredible and Powerful!
This app has dramatically improved my time management and accountability. I use it for work, school, and general life tasks ( socializing, chores, etc) and it has allowed me to accurately quantify and manage my time.
The interface is extremely intuitive, and the learning curve allows you to immediately jump in and start tracking your time. The visual charts and hourly display show what you are doing when, and the ability to edit tasks quickly ( if you forgot to start or stop an activity) make properly displaying the data a breeze.
To the creator- thank you so very much! A couple add-ones which would be useful are: (A) a built in timer that tracks time when the app is in use (which can be set to start running when the app is "touched" and stop running 5 seconds or so after the last "touch"); and (B) improved data export. It would be great to be able to save a CSV text file of tasks and/or categories and their respective times/dates to DropBox or Google Drive or simply to a computer. I often use software like R and Matlab, which can be used to further analyze personal data (e.g. create time series). Enhanced export would also allow multiple backups for long term analysis.
As a note, I have been an iphone user for about 4 years, and this is the first app I have liked enough to review- it is amazing! Keep up the great work!

You don't know where your time goes.
Before I bought this app I always had an illusion that I knew where my time was spent. But I was so wrong.
From start, I just wanted an app to track my piano practicing time. And I came across Atracker Pro. By using this app I started to realize that my piano practicing time is much lesser than I thought. It looked like I spent two hours, but actually I just practiced for one and half hour, the other half hour was wasted on some distraction like surfing or something else.
Atracker Pro really makes me more concentrated on the piano practice. So I started using it on every minute I spent. And I finally realized that those small things look like insignificant but added up they spend lot of time.
This is a great time tracking app. The interface is simple and intuitive. It is very easy to use. With the statistics function, you can easily check your whole day's time data, 7 days or a month. Believe me, the result will shock you.

I love this app
Now that I've been using it for awhile and finally understand all of its features, it works really well for me. I have severe ADD and it helps me see how I'm using my time, as long as I remember to use it! Even if I forget I can go back and add in how I spent my time.
It also has great customization features, I was able to make my setup look really cute.

AMAZING INTERFACE
If you want to understand where your time actually goes in a beautiful, clean way, buy this app now. I have scoured the App Store for an App like this and haven't been able to find another one with as good design. It's incredibly easy to log time, simply tap the category and it begins logging then tap it again to finish the log. It is very simple to use and it is very intuitive to learn.
The only thing I wish is that it would allow you to order your activities on the first tab screen. Please include this feature for the next update and this App will be unstoppable! Keep up the great work.
***Follow up: Figured out how to sort the order (tap shuffle symbol on the settings tab), thank you so much for including this before I thought of it!!

simple but useful app
I actually really think this app is useful for those who are trying to avoid procastination and would like to see how their work is divided up. I don't have alot of time and I do not have strong time management skills. (I have so much activities too!) This app keeps me honest and helps me monitor how I spend my day. The added notes feature is a plus in my book. Very simple and useful app for people that want to monitor their activities.

Great taskmaster!
At work I am used to grabbing job tickets off a rack and working on one after the other and filling out time cards for each. I work really well and energetically when timed like that. I needed something here at home would organize me and motivate me to work efficiently. This is perfect. Thank you. It's a great timekeeper as I can be aware of when I have dawdled too long on a task. It helps to keep me from getting knocked off task by distractions.

Very useful and easy to use!
I really love this app! In my line of work I am required to keep a document of activities completed throughout the day. I have struggled for years trying to find the most efficient way to log my daily activities and this app is finally the answer! It is SO much easier to click the activity and have it log the time rather than using a checklist or adding a calendar item. I also love that you can add notes to the activities. At the end of the day, it takes me less than five minutes to quickly jot notes about meetings I attended or clients I worked with. It is a major timesaver!
One suggestion I would love to see in the next update is to allow for additional profiles. I love this app so much that I would like to use it outside of work to track my time on the computer or exercising.

Great tool
As resource management becomes more critical in my job, this is a great personal tool for me. My job takes me in many directions during the day and when it came to documenting my time I often forgot what I worked on and sometimes guessed in order to complete my time tracking tool. With this app, I was able to categorize all of my time tracking items including meetings, projects, discretionary (walk by requests) and tasks. It's so easy and I'm surprised at where my time is really spent at the end of the day.
The only issue I have had so far is that the reports don't tie out to what Is in the history and I don't know what Other is comprised of. All of my tasks are categorized but the reports show Other and some random number. I was using the Range report but the numbers don't add up to what is recorded in history. I stopped using the reports and just use history to create my own report.
I wish it would sync up with Microsoft outlook 2010 calendar but I'm happy with it so far. It's worth the $2.99 price!

Sweet and simple
For the first time in my ADD life, I can now see where my time goes. If you're reading a productivity book that blithely tells you to record every minute for a week and you think "nice idea, but there's no way I can keep track if that," then this app may finally give you a way. Even if you don't live with ADD, this app sure beats scribbling start and stop times of thirty different activities by hand: a simple tap of your thumb and you've transitioned from Exercise to Personal Care, and a shower later you tap Food Prep and dinner's on its way (or whatever categories fit your daily activities).

Great app for telling you where your time goes. Recent update(s) are good. Tasks work like a stop watch. Pie chart shows you what you did. App allows you to customize background and pie chart colors.
When adding task after the fact, the task selector is missing a done button. This is a minor problem that is not used often, but still annoying! If this was fixed I would give five stars.

I like it!
I liked the interface, it is very intuitive. This will be a great app to use to keep track of my time while working for different clients throughout the day. Maybe the history page can give a total for each category at the end of each day in addition to showing the individual time segments.
