Discover a fascinating world of 3D shapes like prisms, pyramids, solids of revolution and Platonic solids. Start from the simplest and gradually explore the most complex ones. Build solids from scratch with a new Nets Creator mode and discover hundreds of unique net combinations.
Shapes use the power of mobile devices to enhance teacher capabilities and provide possibilities to show things that cannot be shown with physical tools. It can help to create interest and enthusiasm in school mathematics classes at all levels.
The app was verified and approved by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan. It was specifically prepared to support the teacher in the classroom, but can also be used as a tool for self-study. From now on there is a save and print option available for each net so that the kids can explore solids outside the app and improve their manual skills as well.

Love it but needs update
As a classroom teacher, this app is really cool to help kids see the 3-D shapes. However, it loads slow. Also, I cannot print the cone, sphere and cylinder shapes. All the other ones I can. Please fix it so that all the shapes can be printed and to have the app load faster.

Suggestions
I think this is great in that I have been lookin for a shapes app that goes beyond the 2 dimensional. I would suggest a voice option that says the name of the shape out loud. I have a 3 year old who is very interested and food at manipulating shapes but can't read words larger than 4 letters yet and it would help to reinforce what I teach him. Thanks!

Exceptional and the Best App for Solids
The joyful design and music is gone. While the new UI is more intuitive, the net combinations are no longer in a menu, the user has to cycle through them in order to see them.The design is so flat that it is boring, so is the new name of the app.
I liked and recommended the previous version. This version is not exciting, even with the UI improvements because of the removed features. I removed one star.

Clean design. Intuitive interface. Nothing distracting. Joyful. Good music. Excellent interactions and user experience. Our toddler is delighted and has learned to manipulate the shapes - to open them, paint the sides different colors and smile.
The only thing missing in its interactions is 'voice'. When a solid is selected, it should be named, my child cannot read yet and I must name and repeat the name of the solid every time it is played with.
I was delighted to see the solids of revolution included. The cylinder is the result of a revolving rectangle, etc.

Good, but...
There are two things that should be fixed, when connected to a projector, the program does not autorotate. And most importantly the names of the pyramids do not match the 2D bases in the selections below the shapes. Very confusing for my little kiddos

Good but don't understand circular solids
The nets shown are awesome. I used these in my geo class.
I wish the cylinder and cone would unfold into a net like the other solids. These tend to be the hardest for students to see. Please make this change. The current view of these do not make much sense.

I think this app is a good start at teaching about solid shapes. I would rate it five stars if it had a group containing the five Platonic solids!

Great, but...
I really love this app. I'm doing 3-D geometry and it's great for visualizing the problems. I just noticed 1 thing. The labels on the prism with an isosceles trapezoid base and the prism with a right trapezoid base are flipped. But other than that, a great app.

Blew my mind!
This is an outstanding app! I can't wait to use this with my students tomorrow. This app allows you to do things with shapes I have never seen outside of science fiction movies. I am sharing this app with every teacher in my district!

Beautiful application!
This application will go a long way in helping elementary and middle school students understand the differences between various 3D figures. The conceptual understanding will certainly enhance student understanding of surface area as well. Beautiful graphics. Intuitive interface. Nice work!
