This sap does not size pictures very well
I’m not very happy with this app because the whole grid moves when I try to move my image into Center and put the whole thing off from Center, so why does the grid move when I move my picture?

Description
Drawing Grid app will help you keep proportion of drawing objects.
Simply set canvas size to correctly lay out individual grid elements and see physical dimensions, then set grid properties either as square blocks or blocks of specific size, exactly as you need them.
Finally, transform image by setting its position and changing its size.
If you are missing a feature just let us know by creating a new feature request from within the Drawing Grid app.
What's New in Version 3.1.0
Improved image manipulation: When on the Image tab, use gestures to zoom, move and rotate your image. Image has a red border that indicates it can be transformed. On the same tab you can now adjust transparency, easily select new image or reset its position and rotation.
Diagonal lines: Diagonal lines can be enabled in the Menu->Grig and Diagonal from the top picker.

A little agro, but worth the trouble
This app sure as heaven is a lot easier on the eyes than printing your image out on a crappy, ancient office printer, drawing an inaccurate grid on it, and then trying to make sense of the godforsaken splotches. I was literally just about to quit in my latest mural project due to the above mentioned situation and then I found this app! Granted, now I have to wash the wall and redraw the grid to be consistent with the grid laid down by the app, but I already feel calmer and happier knowing that I can just zoom in on individual squares in Photos. I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship.

It doesnt even make sense
I downloaded this app so I can finish up some artwork. Turns out it won’t let you upload a image or even change the grid size. And there’s this image behind the grid that tells you how to touch or move things around. THAT doesn’t go away. Please don’t download this app. It’s pointless and waste of my time.

Not very user friendly
Yes the first thing you see is a picture on how to use the app when you open it but getting it out of the way is a different story I couldn’t find out how to delet it and when I tried to move it out of my screen it just pops back up in the middle

Awful, non-user friendly
This app is not user-friendly, freezes frequently, and barely works to make in-app purchases worth it. I’ve resorted to doing the grid, then taking a screen shot of the image given how inconsistent the save & send features are. Trash.

I actually really like this app, I feel it’s easy to manage. However, as everyone has said it crashes when you try to save. But I think I found a way around it; instead of saving, I copy and paste it into my notes app and then save it from there. Gives me the perfect photo and grid.

Not a useful app for proportional enlargement!
This app is not useful for artists. It doesn't define the crop size or provide a proportional enlargement capability that would enable you
to accurately draw an image into a proportionally accurate enlarged grid. Thats the most important capability for an app of this type!

This is NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL!!!
I tried so hard to use this app and I could not for the life of me figure it out. I’m also good at figuring out things and self teaching myself how to do things but I can’t seem to even save my grid on the app. DO NOT GET THIS APP. I would go with something else, BUT THIS BARLEY EVEN WORKS!!!

I want to like this grid
I like that you can you can convert a photo to into a line drawing but that’s about the only thing good about it. It is NOT user friendly at all. There is no delete option and when I try to save a gridded photo, the app just crashes without saving anything.

ok i might suggest a slight tweak so that 1:1 ratio actually gives real squares, but being able to use ANY photo... with ANY ratio is The Most Critically Important thing this app does!

I'm taking off a couple stars because this app is not user friendly. Adjusting the size of the grid is nearly impossible because of the terrible app format, and grid lines can't be made smaller than their 1.0 point they have preset.
Gets the job done if you're willing to struggle with the controls. But over all terribly made application.

Difficult to use
This app makes you happy to spend the dollar to get the good grid drawing app instead of surrendering to a free one. The tools and scales don't seem to work and there isn't a save function so you lose the picture you spent so much time just trying to add a grid to. Fail.

Ads bar hidden, not removed
Paid the fee....was very irritated it did not remove the ads bar, it mono made it smaller, still visible and still selectable. Crap.

It's okay
This app is kind of confusing to use. The sliders aren't very sensitive and I got frustrated just setting it up. As for the save function, there is none, but I just took a screen grab and that worked well enough for me. Not sure if it's good enough yet to continue using.

you need to make this app easy to use. grid for drawing is only the Square size. the colour of grid line just Gray because gray colour can use to all type of photo. Just Make It Simply ;)

The update ruined the functionality on iPad mini as everything slides with the slider adjustment
Please fix
You need to add a save button for user settings, we don't want to have to readjust everything 9x a day.
You need to lose the opening instructions page, you have done a great job of natural use of ipad gestures, so add a settings page and an instructions page and de-clutter the app.
Lose the slider buttons on the slider panel on the bottom, as said, they don't function now.
Get rid of the huge color buttons, move them to a settings page, I feel like I am using an app made for my 2 year old with huge buttons like that, it clutters your app, and like the "store" button? !?! It's huge like a dinner plate, move it to a "settings" pop up page,
The only thing on your home page should be pop up page options, your app now has 3 pages, lose 2 of them, make it one page with pop up options

Don't waste your time
I got this so I didn't have to print photos to draw them. I couldn't get my grid even after working with it forever. It didn't help at all. I ended up printing my photos and drawing the grid on them myself with a ruler.

Does exactly what it says it does.
Excellent app. It does, actually, allow you to scale your image size, as well as the proportions of the grid. Take a screen shot to capture the marriage of grid and image. Print it for reference.
One suggestion though: the ability to confirm the grid ratios would be fantastic: i.e., 1:1; 2:3; 3:4, etc. There are times you need 1:1, in order to make the proportions come out. Also the ability to add, in another color cross and diagonal lines and additional divisions for quartering the square, or octing it. Or dividing into tri- divisions over top of the grid, like different layers. Perhaps even placing the grid exactly where you want it, for instance, placing the center lines where you want them.
Thank you very much for a very useful utility and artist's tool.

Updates awesome
This app was only mildly useful until this latest update. Being able to change the grid size and move the image around makes it an awesome app for drawing and painting. Changing the opacity and colors of the grid is really nice as well. Only thing I'd like to see added it the ability to re square the grid. Each direction of line spacing can be changed on its own, so if you don't square the grid up, your drawing will be off a bit. There is no was to make sure the grid is square other then visually. For a free app, it's a wonderful tool for artists who use the grid system to make their work as realistic as possible.

Needs a few upgrades
A few features need to be added to really make this a useful app. First, designate center lines both vertically and horizontally either by making them bolder or a different color. Second, allow the user to designate the dimensions of the grid and then position that grid onto their image. This would adjust the proportions of the image to match the artist's paper or canvas size.
