This isn't two dimensional. It's three dimensional for starters. Great three dimensional graphics and characters... Wise guy personalities which are humorous when you lose... They like their victory dancing jigs... It's really sweet... Very professionally done and fun

Shameless money grab that goes from pants-poopingly easy to impossible quickly. What to do - Oh look! They're selling you the only way to win. I am SO tired of these pay to win scams.
Plus the game as a whole is dumb, the physics are laughable, there's no way to tell what's required to get better crowns/more jewels on each level so you have no clue what you're trying for. I MIGHT be okay with a money grab for a good game, but not this piece of garbage. Save your money.

Alright game
It was a bit frustrating at parts but overall a good game some levels are easier with larger magic use but other then that a good game.

Laugh out loud mayhem
I love those obnoxious little knights who taunt me as I try to knock down their little super structures. Great graphics with tons of details that create an immersive experience. I bought this game more than a year ago and played all the way through. I started playing it again today and it's new all over again. There is lots of replay value. Each level never plays the same way twice because there are so many different ways to knock down the forts. Some of the levels have a sweet spot where one shot will take down the entire structure in a splendid cascading fashion. Highly recommend. Probably my favorite IOS game of all time.

Why are ads showing up in an app for which I paid?
The app now displays irritating bubble ads. I think chilingo is headed down hill. One used to be able to expect a certain level of quality from their apps. Not so much anymore.

Love it but disappointed.
My favorite game to while away stolen moments -- and work out my frustrations by knocking stuff down. They update regularly -- wonderful. But the last update added annoying pop up ads for other apps -- not cool, folks. I paid for the program, not for the advertising.

THIS GAME BLOWS AWAY ANGRY BIRDS !
3D very well designed game ! If you enjoy the genre like Angry Birds you really should give this game a try. 1st person perspective, easy to learn, harder to master, but not so much that it frustrates you into quitting. The controls are spot on and top notch. The graphics are cartoonish and well designed.

I have beat this game 3 times over and I will keep loading it. I Never signed in with fb before and you get more fabulous magic ways of blowing things up so would recommend using fb...it does not keep asking you to post I find that super annoying. When you run out of magic go back to easier levels to fill up again, 12 and 47 I think are easy ones

I love the game better than angry birds, however I would like to see some of the creators of these games come up with some new ideas.. I'm tired of the same slots the same "build your own village" ideas.. I would like to see something truly amazing come out that's new. Not a knock off of the same old same old..any ideas?

Catapult King
Lots of fun with just enough challenge in the upper levels to keep you interested. You can play for 10 minutes or a couple of hours since the sequences are short. This makes it nice if you have 10 or 15 minutes to kill if you're at a Doctor's office or somewhere where you want something to do without getting too involved. I have the game on my iPad Mini and it looks great and plays well.

Graphics. Gets more difficult as you go, but is just right at the rate it gets harder. I purchased one thing, a 99 cent opening of all the levels. It's worth it. As you can pick and choose where you want to play. Don't get stuck on one level, open them. You won't be sorry.

King of Catapaults
Simply challenging for all ages and levels of competence. I found this game for my granddaughters and now I'm addicted to it. It' s lots of fun and most challenging when trying to score a GOLD crown. It's also very amusing watching the "enemy" soldiers moon you, pick their nose, laugh at you or watch them somersault after you smash them. The sound effects are also a lot of fun but irritating if they get the better of you.
My granddaughters also got their folks addicted to this game. Keep up the good work!

Graphics?
This game is a great game. Many hours of fun. I do have one small complaint though. What is UP with that with that princess?! In the beginning, she is like I don't know like...dancing? It looks like she is a crazy girl that ran away from home and she is almost going to faint from starvation. Anyway, then when the dragon comes, she has this weird look on her face and she doesn't even run away or anything. Not to be picky though.

Cute, colorful, Play for hours
Finally a game that is not requiring me to buy stuff or beg friends to play to get enough points to advance. This game is better than even Angry Birds for its dimensional graphics. Not too easy, not too difficult. Cute characters and sounds. The little knights could use a less repetitive sound loop, but that is my only suggestion so far after more than 40 levels.

I've had every iPhone or iPod made and out of all the appt's I've had over the years; this one seems to grow on you. I've turned five or six people on to it and they have spread the word just the same. It's an easy and complicated game at the same time. Have fun everyone.. On a side note I want to thank the developers of the game for fixing the bugs so quickly. A few days ago I wrote a review that included a problem with level 81 and how it shut down after winning the level. Great game, horrible menus
I really like the gameplay, and I love playing this game. However the menu system is horrible; everything is bouncing around, nothin is clear, and it's giving me motion sickness. That's right the menu gives me motion sickness. If they fixed the menu system to not have three million things bouncing all over the place and actually let you know what you were doing when you pushed a button I'd keep this game around and give it a 5 star rating, as is I've deleted it.

Catapult King!
Very, very fun game that is hard to stop....Each level have their own way of being brought down without magic spells... You have to find them, and if you need a little help, you still have the magic spells. It is very fun without issues on my I-Phone and my I-Pad... I have introduced this game to friends with children and they really enjoy the graphics that are entertaining to them. If you like Angry Birds, you'll love this game! P.S. I wish you did not add the Face Book to your Update!!!!!!!!!!! It never stops soliciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazingly addictive!
Angry Birds reign is over! The graphics are amazing, the magic is super cool, the soldiers are so silly. i couldn't it the first time they mooned me (tastefolly done, yes it must be possible), stuck their tongues out, did one handed hand stands to show off while you are aiming your catapult shot. if you dont get them all, they laugh, spin and even dance. The land where the battles are raged are beautiful too with creeks, flowers and trees. high 5 to the makers of this new great game!

Good game but crude knights
This is one of the most entertaining games since angry birds. I like it and all my kids like it. But therein lies a problem, when my kids are playing it I am always on guard because of the crude gestures the little knights make on the game. They grab their crotches and moon you. Is that really necessary? I understand the creators want to inject a little humor and fun, but is it impossible these days to have fun and be silly without being crude? Good game but poor discernment on the kind of humor.

Very entertaining!
I am not a serious gamer, so I look for games that are entertaining without being excessively high energy or demanding. This game is a perfect way for me to kill some time and have a few laughs. It seems very well programmed with well done graphics and physics. The music is enjoyable. I find it addictive and, at the same time, easy enough to keep me going from level to level. Well done!

Pretty dang fun game.
Thus far I've only played about 30 mins of it, but it's FUN!
I don't have feedback on overall rating because I just haven't played it enough and have no developer feedback critique, haven't had to rely upon any yet. However it's making me so I'll give it a 4 star, hoping if the dev is responsive I can change it to 5 at some point.
It's cleverly laid out, a unique idea and each character has his own little way to taunt you as you hurl stones at them.
I like that you can adjust elevation as well, and I hope that there are a lot of big distance maps to play, if not, hope they make them.
I certainly hope that they keep this updated and add more and more levels to it, though I currently don't know how many there are as I just got the app.
It DEFINITELY is fun, for both adults and I'm sure kids, too.

Great Game
Just finished all available levels and was very impressed with this app. Being a huge fan of the angry birds games this was every bit as challenging and fun as those. Great graphics and controls and just an overall success. I hope this game gets enough attention to justify further development and more levels. Can't wait for the update. Looking forward to many more hours with this app. Now I'm off to work on a gold crown for every level.

Pigs should look out
This is so much a more developed and high quality game than Angry birds.. Excellent work, and challenging as you get into the higher levels. Love to see new catapult weapons, special challenges, steerable weapons, the little men could move, you could add time as an additional challenge, weapons that stick, so you could add two or three to a wall and than detonate, but it will be fun to watch as it develops. The best free game in the store, don't miss it.

It took 100 lumps of coal, but I finally dug out a diamond!
Out of the hundreds of IOS games that I've downloaded, played once, then either went "Huh?", "Ugh", or "Zzzzzzzzzzz to...
or the games that I mildly liked at first, then after 6 months of the app just taking up space, unplayed, I finally found my diamond in the rough! I'm hooked!
This game rides the wave that Mad Birds whipped up, but improves upon it in many ways. Most predominantly the gorgeous 3D graphics and full user- control over the virtual 3D camera - but what keeps me coming back to THIS game as opposed to most others of it's kind, is it's quirky and appealing character. Other games tend to be quirky and... well, just quirky.
There's just more to do and see and interact with here, and the gameplay itself strikes a perfect balance (no pun intended!), as each stage's challenge level increases, so does the entertainment level - in-synch with one another. That is consistently NOT the case with the vast majority of similar games I've tried. Who would have thought that increasingly "fun" gameplay was a foreign concept? Go figure....

Great fun
Really really fun and addicting. Like wreckateer on the Xbox but a lot more fun. If you liked angry birds, you'll love this. It's the same concept (knock over blocks) but from a 3d perspective where you shoot from behind the slingshot. Kudos to the developer(s) for a really nice job developing this! One of the few games I've taken the time to write a review on since it is so very much fun and addicting. I can't wait for more levels even though there are enough levels for days and days of excitement. I've been replaying some of the levels over and over to beat my last score and try to knock over everything with fewer rocks. I like the fact you get different kinds of rocks. The little soldiers which taunt you are hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing when one of them mooned me!

Amazing play, amazing graphics
Late last night I was in the app store looking for something new and different. Not one of those mindless, time passing games, but something interesting. Well this game is absolutely incredible. Great game for family and kids of all ages, I'm 49! So, ok, I dwnld game and am so surprised. It's not quite like angry birds, which I don't care for anyway, but it has a really great twist. The characters are adorable, the landscape is lovely, wish I lived there. And the little guys are so quirky, almost mocking you to knock them down! So cute!! There's power ups, ground shocking bombs, and lightning bombs. Well not bombs, but the ammo. Well you guys just have to try it, I can almost promise that you will love love it! Great job developers! Great job!! A treasure of a find in an amazing game!

Principles!!!
Do not download this game or any other from Chillingo!!! They have taken my money for other games and in app purchases then erased my data now I can not even log in. When asked to correct this I was told there was nothing to be done and Chillingo does not give refunds. They are owned by EA Games the third largest game company in the world!!! Yet they can not afford my few measly dollars. For shame!!! I have (will be deleted soon) this game. Chillingo should have better customer service principles. But when your company makes 4 billion a year I guess one person does not matter. Especially when you download this game anyway.

Fun & easy
Honestly, my wife likes it because it requires strategy and coordination. She usually gets frustrated by fast paced, game console type games but this one is of a different sort. Great graphics, sound and action. The bright colors make it fun for kids and the rude antics of the knights add a funny twist that may remind adults a bit of Monty Python. It's also awesome that new levels are added quite frequently. Overall an entertaining and high-quality game!

Better than angry birds
I was hesitant at first but after I completed 5 scenes I was HOOKED!!!! It's so much better than angry birds. The graphics are superb, the challenges are really puzzling and the catapult idea was quite amazing. I finished all the levels. Waiting for the upgrade :(
Whoever designed and storyboarded this game is a talented person. I'm a game addict and this one is officially number one on my list of must haves. Kudos to all of you!

Almost done and anxious for more!
I downloaded for the kids but that was just an excuse. Everytime they pick up the Ipad and realize that I keep advancing in levels they are giddy with excitement. All ready at the last level ( I think it's the last) about to save the princess and I want there to be more, maybe a second part? It really is fun to play, some minor comparison to Angry Birds but it really has it's own personality. Check it out. Best part, it's still free!

Meh
It's definitely fun to smash stuff with a catapult, but the scoring is super confusing. You fire a huge stone at some guys standing on boxes, some of which have windows and drapery, and then you're rewarded for knocking the guys off (and sometimes, confusingly, not) with points, jewels, and magic. None of this makes sense. How do you get the jewels? What do they do for you and why should I care? Magic? It's a purple potion in a bottle that ... does what? Smash stuff and then robotically watch your points change.

Love!! Fun and entertaining game!!
Let me start by saying I gave up being a 'gamer' when my kids started kicking my tail at every new game 10 years ago! Catapult King is a fun little game that has enough skill required to keep it interesting (sometimes frustrating) but is simple enough for an occasional game player or young child to still have a great time playing! Recommended!!!

Fun, easy to play and still challenging
The game is like a 3D Angry Birds. It is fun, easy to play and still challenging. The graphics are old school but vibrant. I like the reward system. It is more than just the "Three star" approach. There are many possible rewards for each level. Another nicety is that you don't have to buy the magical potions. You can earn them. Many games nowadays days penalize you for not buying extra's. This game does not. I did end up buying some for the kids without feeling tricked into doing so.

Try it... You'll like it!
Nearly perfect iPhone game; especially if you like Angry Birds style games. I actually like this better. Game play is challenging but doesn't require the same precise control as lesser games (you know the ones where the writer has to resort to precise control instead utilizing good game play). Plus, in app purchases aren't pushed. This one will probably stay on my phone. Replay value is probably there.

Can't stop playing
The graphics are truly beautiful. Having lots of fun, playing and even repeating levels in order to improve score. The small knights are a real hoot ( they even seem to wave their buttocks at you!) Mischief galore from these little suckers. This is my first app review and I'm glad I waited to post till I found something I truly liked and would recommend . Giving 4 stars cause I wish they had more levels and scarier dragons to battle!

I never write reviews! But...
This game is awesome. And what's interesting is that I really don't like Angry Birds (I know, controversial). But this game has such an interesting way about it since it's in 3D. There's something so enjoyable about browsing the world by moving around the screen and looking behind things. My only complaint is that it kills my battery pretty bad but it's rendering 3D worlds the whole time so it's understandable.
Plus, it's FREE?! They could easily charge $2.99 for this. (Maybe it's on sale, i didn't look)

I'm not going to argue with the people who dislike this game, it is their opinion. I think that this game is great and it's free!! It is very beatable quickly but the fun is trying to beat each level with the least number of shots. It's not difficult, you don't need to buy magic, it doesn't crash, and it's endless fun and ver strategic. Just my opinion but you should give it a try.

You don't have to pay for new levels
First off I love this game! The little guys taunting you is awesome. It makes knocking them off the crates that much more fun :) it does take a while to load now esp between levels...just get a black screen but thankfully the levels still load
Second you don't have to buy the new levels. Just replay the last level 64 and best the dragon again and level 65 opens up

This game is great!!!
Do not listen to negative reviews.. This game is just as fun as Angry Birds.. Beating the dragon in the last level is very tough!! So here is a Tip for those having trouble... Set the catapult to it's lowest setting so your aiming at the dragon's feet.... Now aim the catapult to the right of the dragon.. Aiming it at the small cage holding princess.. That's what you need to hit, not the dragon or boxes of TNT . Do not use magic for this end level as it won't log as being completed. Good Luck and happy dragon hunting!!

Great fun
Awesome free title. Fun gameplay with silly graphics that are better than most games on idevices. And it appears, so far, that you can actually play without use of in app purchases. And not that I'm into purchasing stuff like that, but I was checking out how they sell that stuff and they at least have their brain in their heads instead of their wallet.

Okay game. Angry Birds Clone. Cluttered UI
Thanks to Apple and Chillingo for the game. This is more like what I want to see in the featured apps - though a non-game entry would be nice.
Now, onto the game itself.
Let's be honest, despite very different graphics, this game is basically an Angry Birds clone. This isn't a fatal flaw but, IMO, tarnishes the game. There's little new here outside the graphics and the first-person POV. That said, I will probably spend a fair bit of time trying to master this game.
The game possesses a dizzying array of controls and special weapons which, IMO, complicates the gameplay. Further, the achievement feedback and icon-heavy UI render the game a bit of a cluttered mess. I'm just not sure if I care about all those little factoids.
On other notes:
1. I'd like to be able to select the appearance of the princess that I'm trying to rescue.
2. It would be nice to be able to damage the dragon with the catapult.

FP "Birds"
Very similar in concept to the birds game everyone knows, but in first person with gorgeous graphics. I play quite a few iOS games and this one is really well done. It's free, and the need to use IAP is low. Only ask is for a number gauge on the crank so that adjusting for distance is easier (like using the scope of a rifle to gauge distance). No reason to turn this one down by any means. Well done, get it now!

Surprisingly fun
This game really surprised me. I thought I was bored with the whole "fling objects and knock down things" genre, but this game really pulled me in. It's funny, beautiful, and a lot of fun to play. It's definitely got that "just one more level" appeal once you get into it. The people whining about IAP are ridiculous. You don't have to make any in-app purchases to progress in the game.

Also, nothing like angry birds people! This game is much better, and good luck getting a case as rovio to sue. Luckily unlike a lot of people commenting on this app, they are smart enough to know that there is no way they could sue and win the case. This is a better version of crush the castle in my opinion, and is an amazing game, with no ads, even tho it is free

Not Angry Birds
First I just want to say for all of those reviews that are complaining that it's just like angry birds: Angry Birds was not an original concept! Crush the castle and Sieger were created WAY before Angry Birds. For those reviewers, it's like giving a Macintosh a 1 star rating just because PC's were the first ones to come up with the modern computer (Windows). There is nothing wrong with taking a concept and modifying it- developers do that ALL THE TIME. Take any tower defense game, any developing game like Farmville or Cityville. They have been used over and over again. Catapult King is actually the first 3 dimensional "Crush the Castle", and for that I give it 5 stars.

WOW Angry Birds concept in 3D! 1000X better than ABirds
LOVE this, I buy LOTS of games, but don't play them for more than a few minutes... then move on. So I try not to buy them any more. I have prolly 100. This was FREE so tried it. And it's a blast. I had played angry birds on others ipads, but never liked it enough to buy it.
This I would have bought! ANDPLAYED! been playing it for hours today. There are some in app purchases, but you don't need them. I have 500 magic logged and have been playing for 3 hours. HIT the dragon in later levels and he retaliates by blowing down his own castles. AWESOME. New exploding balls appear later as well. GET THIS - maybe it will stay free? easily work 2.99 with no in app purchases.

So... Many… Flaws… DO NOT BUY!!!
It almost shocks me to see how terrible this game is.
I HIGHLY recommend NOT wasting your time, and all of you money-savers out there, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!! IT IS A RIP-OFF!! 👎👎👎
Here is my list of complaints.
•From the title throughout the whole game, the graphics were mediocre but SOOOO unrealistic.
•The intro is strange.
•There is NO title screen so you can't change the options or even select levels.
•The music and sound effects are completely terrible and strange.
•By the first level, I was left speechless. It was so BORING!!!
• I tried some more levels, and they were also BORING.
•The gameplay is simply not strategic at all! You basically just tap the screen, drag down however far you want, because it doesn't even matter.
•You can't really angle the catapult.
•The levels are just so easy to beat.
•The power up that lets you see the path of the, well, whatever that ball thingy is, doesn't even work.
•This game is better than Angry Birds. With Angry Birds, I at least got to play it for a couple months before I got bored, but with Catapult King, I was bored in the first 10 seconds.
Do not listen to the other reviews that say this is the best game ever, or that this game is perfect. Because, I am telling the truth in my review. Thank you to those who have taken the time to read my review.

Good for the price
This game is fun and simple. For a basic .99 it does it's job. It could be more detailed but it's set up for a universal build and in app purchases are the worst thing ever invented. But I wrote this to say that anyone who relates this game to angry birds is at most 14 years old and remembers no game that existed prior to angry birds, like when we used to play hundreds of free flash games with similar plots. If u like games like crush the castle u might enjoy it, graphically adolescent but entertaining nonetheless

Great App. Takes a bit to get used to 3D interface.
Chillingo cranks out some good games and this one should become a classic. The graphics are 1st rate. Aiming can be difficult at first so give it some time. So far I've just been playing it on the iPad and its perfect for that. The little guys are really annoying and I enjoy knocking the crap out of them. I guess its helping me get out some of my frustrations. Look forward to this game progressing with new levels. Cheers!

Past it's time
I think when angry birds was "hot" this world be the next evolutionary step. But the angry bird scene is cooling and this extra dimension does not change the core gameplay mechanics to be feel like a new game.
- It gets old very quick
- The "after level" mechanics are too confusing. Again they try to do more than angry birds but confused me. (u have different levels of crowns and each crown has 0-3 gems).
- there's "magic" that I never use nor see the point. (maybe I did not play far enough).
- sometimes its hard to gauge the distance because of uneven ground. So u waste a boulder to measure the distance.
Other than this, it's an "ok" game, definitely better than the average junk and 10 year old junior programmer games out here. Just wished it came out sooner. They should have made a 3d toki tori (maybe they did already).

Better than 2D Angry Birds
Love the 3D take on this sort of game. Reminds me of Boom Blocks for the Wii, which I really missed. Funny characters, incredible graphics. For the ill-informed people who are saying they ripped off Angry Birds..... If you had paid any attention at all to the opening screen for Angry Birds, you'd see this is made by the same people. Calm down. Anyway, Chillingo puts out great quality games, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Even better than I expected. Made me smile while I was playing this game. :)

Polished and enjoyable
Yes, the game play is very familiar and simple here, but everything is beautifully implemented. The graphics look spectacular on my new iPad and the collision physics is really excellent. The levels are colorful and there are plenty of them. The different goals in each level add even more longevity. Gameplay is fun and individual levels can be played in short bites. The IAP is totally unnecessary here and for the low price this is a great choice.

Can't stop hurling...
...and by "hurling" I mean "throwing". I downloaded this game after seeing the name Chillingo attached to it (you know it's going to be good!) and 4 hours later I still wanted more.
Great animation and very realistic feel. It looks incredible on the new retina screen! Wow. (Sorry! You guys with the original iPad or iPad2 get sick of hearing people say that, don't you?! I did before I finally got a new iPad!)
After the first group of little dudes you watch fall to their death and pop out of existence you quickly are reminded of that Angry Birds game that everybody can't stop talking about... (for whatever reason). Unlike that game you do not have to wait for all the pigs (in this case, little taunting men who laugh at you when you miss your target as well) to slowly die off before you can go fire more ammunition (various "balls" like canon balls) at them. This enables faster play and it also allows you to take advantage of your target teetering between regaining their balance or actually falling. You can see a vulnerable spot from your last blast (that might otherwise straighten itself out and not collapse if you had to just wait and see what happens without being able to influence it) and actually be able to make it collapse by firing again instead of waiting for all the debris and targets to finally and completely settle before it allows you to go on as I remember from Angry Birds.
Great game! I think it will go far.
