Love it.

Love how it records from watch and can save to the phone And that you can record with the phone too. My only complaint is that it can't be hidden if your recording. The watch stays on and the phone has a red line at the top saying recording when u switch apps. There's a reason I got a recording app

Best app no doubt!

App works great. You can choose whether to record from your watch or from your phone, right from your watch. Works great if you ever leave your phone and want to record what people are saying.

Would be cool if you can hear what your phone records from the watch.

Accessibility with apples built in screen reader VoiceOver

This app needs some improvements with accessibility with voiceover there are many unlabeled buttons and voiceover is not able to read them aloud I am a blind user hopefully this can be fixed thanks

Has ALMOST all the features I want

I mostly wanted a voice recorder for the Apple Watch and looked at a lot of different apps, and this one was the closest to having all the features I wanted.

First, here is what's missing from the watch app that I'd love to see:

-ability to pause/resume a recording on the watch

-Apple Watch complication

-folder management (or tags) for organizing recordings

Here are the features I wanted that it DOES have:

-Record on Apple Watch, not just a remote for the iPhone: (ability to choose between iPhone and Apple Watch is nice, and appears to be unique to this app)

-show waveform when recording so you know it's recording and have a rough idea of the levels

-Playback on Apple Watch (surprisingly few have this feature)

-file management (rename, delete, etc on the watch)

-shows storage space remaining

Then I started looking at the very full featured app in the phone and was pleasantly surprised to see:

-save to photo library (saves as a "video")

-A/B playback (set loop point)

-playback speed (.5x to 2x)

-iCloud is the only cloud drive it directly integrates with but you can "send to" any cloud service app installed on your phone (Evernote, Dropbox, google drive, etc)

-calendar organization of recordings

-built in web server for transferring recordings

-quick buttons for back and forward 5 seconds (this plus playback speed are really useful for transcription)

-set flags at various points in the recording either during recording or playback later (would be nice to be able to label these flags)

-record with now playing opens up some really cool possibilities for narrating videos right on your phone or recording with selected audio for karaoke style recording

Plus all the other cool features mentioned in the description of the app (like record only when speaking, etc). All in all, very full featured. With the three additional things I'd like to see in the watch app I'd definitely give it five stars.

Unstable, clunky app

It worked OK for a while until the last update, now launching it is tedious and spins, it is not user intuitive with its functions, closing it takes a long time. Lin Fei and team, please improve and make it easire- I don't like the icon ip on the top, and something isnt working anymore.

One of the best

This cat Lin is cornering the market on voice noting. He has an app for every occasion. They are small in size, perform as advertised, and they work!

The only negatives are lack of any documentation (I have all his apps so have learned to understand them) but someone knew would struggle...in addition to the inability to contact him for support. Otherwise he's the real deal.

The worst app ever

Before the update i was able to record the conversation either you are calling or receiving a call if you put it in a speaker.

After the update you can not do anything except deleting this app and leave some space for the next one .

I admit that this app is really really helpful with no charge. I can choose what type of recording will be, change the title very easily, and even send the file thru e-mail. All procedures are very easy. However, it takes a bit of time to load all the recorded files on my iPad, and this is why I don't use the app nowadays.

Easy, but great

I needed an app that could record and play in the background. Also, this app has low-space playback, so I can have 7.5 minute recordings that take up <10MB space. Great app, easy app: this fits the bill.

I really liked the look of the app, but that is ALL. The performance is terrible. You can't stop the recording once you've started, and if you try to, it crashes and crashes and CRASHES.

Great for lecture classes!

Really helpful in my anatomy and physiology class. Used it to record our review period before a big test. Now I'm listening to it to study. Mic picks up sound great from about 15 feet away. Haven't tried it farther away than that yet.
