Yr contains weather forecasts, textual forecasts, meteograms and extreme weather warnings. Now you can also see nowcast in the iPhone app, a new real-time precipitation forecast for selected locations. This is the most precise and updated precipitation forecast from Yr.
Search 10 million locations in Norway and the world from Yr, or use GPS to find the weather forecast for your nearest location. To see the meteogram, turn your phone to landscape mode when you are viewing a specific place.
Yr is a service from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and NRK.

Very accurate and reliable forecast
If not the most beautiful app out there it certainly is accurate and has the longest prognosis from all apps, around 10 days. Been using it since my first iPhone, don't really remember how I came to hear about it but it's been with me ever since.

Please include Fahrenheit?
Discovered the service in this recent trip to Europe and find it to be so accurate, I downloaded it to continue to use at home in the US. Would love to have an option to convert the temps to Fahrenheit so I don't have to do the calculation and can get the temp at a glance. Such a great service though, thank you!

Precise and easy to use
One of the most accurate forecast apps I've tried. I especially like the graph that shows when turning my phone sideways- the rain predictions on there are very precise (in Norway where I live). There were some problems with downloading forecasts recently but they seem to have been fixed now.

Errors - used to be the greatest on App Store
For some reason, it's been plagued by errors for the last week: "Error 503 service unavailable guru meditation." When it worked it was absolutely fantastic, but not with these errors.

Jeg synes forrige versjon av yr sin app var bedre. Nå er flere valgmuligheter fjernet og forsøket på å "friske" den opp synes jeg ikke var vellykket.

Amazing
The new design is just flawless! Despite in the iPad there're still many old formats. In the iPhone the app just look peeeerfect..!
If you could also give the forecast in English, or let it be able to copy and then use google to find out what you say, it'll be lovely! :)

Accurate and detailed
Consistently more accurate than any other weather app I've found. Includes a ton of detailed information, including graphs of cloud cover over the course of the day, and (at least in the iPad version) precipitation and temperature maps. My go-to weather app. (I live in a very rainy city.)
What to improve: make it possible to set default outside Northern Europe for precipitation and temperature maps (iPad version). Also: please make those maps accessible on iPhone.

I can't find more better accurate forecast app in the store. I spent over 20 bugs, then heard about this best app!!!
It is a quite difficult to set city order, but you can find the workaround :-/

Yr.no is my favouate website and I was thrilled to see the app. All my friends also used. Unfortunately it does not work in Cape Town.

Rubbish support
Great app, but some destinations are missing. Where is Cape Town? In fact, where is any of the Western Cape in South Africa. I have written to yr.no and to the app developers but no-one listens. Great website - we use it all the time, but this app is useless for us and the developers are deaf.

A great app with some astonishing features.
I find both the interface and the underlying code very intuitive and handy, as it is able to tell the weather for smaller settlements or areas, with more precise information. Very well done.

Good app, but...
It thinks I'm in a hotel wherever I am in the world. I would like to know te weather in the city or town I'm in but not the nearest hotel. Same weather forecast but a bit annoying.
