The app is great for playing around with, it does robotics voices good but lacks quality in reproducing other human voices. I wish sound effects were separated from voices, for better organization.

AU v3 support on the way...
There needs to be Audiobus 3 support to make it useful. App hasn't been updated in 9 months, so apparently the developer has abandoned it.

Sounds are all too similar!
I tried to like this app and was excited by the free version, but unfortunately the full version sounds like s#@t. I keep shuffling through natural, robot, breath, and designer and they barely change anything! Dissappointed.

Near Perfect
I use Voice Synth inside of Xewton Music Studio, using IAA. From the first moment that I tried Voice Synth. I knew that it was the perfect vocal processor. There's a great flow to it, so there will only be a small learning curve. Voice Synth is miles ahead of other vocal processors.

This app is a serious took
For any sound designer. If you know how to get audio in and out of your phone/iPad, the cost of this is tiny compared to the equivalent in a plugin for a major daw.

Unbeatable robot voices
I don't usually write reviews nor do I usually spend more than $5 for an app, but after being disappointed by innumerable vocal processing apps I decided to spring for this one and the sound quality is unmatched. The only things I would change would be the interface... I really just need to choice voice effects and adjust them. I don't need all those synths. Also, it would be cool if there was an option to allow the app to continue to run in the background even after power off of my device. I use the app for my robot costume and don't need to see it once it's running. Thanks for making one app that is compatible with both my iPad and my iPhone!

Five stars for the new functionality, five stars for listening to users, one star for resulting the user interface. This is a great app and it is usable afrer a lot of hunting and panel-flipping.
It is important for users to know that you CAN turn off the default sounds that play when a preset is selected, but it is ridiculously hard to find the little un-marked button on one of the many hidden panels (the sampler panel).
Keep working on the UI, you have a great app here.

The Best Vocoder. Now Even Better.
This isn't some "voice changer" toy app. This is a serious vocoder tool (that's also a hell of a lot of fun)! BONUS: The old-school Battlestar Galactica Cylon presets included in the app are absolutely flawless!

Terrible Decision Dropping Audiobus.
Well, I now know that I'll never be updating this application again, due to the fact that Audiobus was removed in this latest update in favor of the mediocre "Inter-App Audio."
What a truly terrible and asinine decision on the part of the developer. I don't even know how to access or use Inter-App Audio, let alone want to use it. I mean why would I, when Audiobus works so well for my needs?
I also noticed that the developer removed iTunes export in favor of Apple's stupid iCloud service, which I also don't use. It's just amazing to me really that this developer has not updated this app in at least a year if not more. And when he does he then proceeds to remove vital and important features and functions in my opinion. Developers like you make absolutely no sense to me..
Luckily, though, I'm not foolish enough to have "Auto-Update" turned on for all of my applications on my device. And I'm also smart enough to read through the release notes and reviews before I update. So, I was able to guard myself from this most recent update and all the bad decisions it brought with it.
I would highly recommend that other users don't update this app if you liked having the Audiobus and iTunes export options. This developer has lost a whole lot of my respect and I hope he rectifies these heinous problems that he has introduced with this most recent update.

Best voice synth
Absolutely the best voice synth on the app store. I have to fiddle with numerous settings on my professional keyboards to get the effect that this does just by starting the app! I like that you can record and paste to clip board for use in other music apps. Take it to the next level. I love this! The presets are great. Update: still lovin' it.

Great Vocoder IAA Update
The app is one of the best vocoder apps on iOS. When it dropped Audiobus support several years ago, it fell out of frequent use. With many more apps now supporting IAA such as AUM, Voice Synth is once again a go to app. You can get a wide range of vocal effects but it can also transform any sort of audio you give it and the MIDI implementation works well.

Solid app but dropping Audiobus very unhelpful
This is a serious musical instrument with interesting configurations and decent sound...however, like many musicians I use multiple chains in Audiobus and so ALL of the instruments have to have a common standard.
IAA isn't widely implemented enough yet to compare with adoption of Audiobus by software vendors. We can speculate about its future but in the mean time we have to make music with diverse tool-sets/apps.
For now, I have to take this app out of the loop... this is not my preference, but I recommend that users who have complex effect setups hold off.

Audiobus doesn't work
there some kinda bug or something that makes it were audiobus doesn't connect right and then audiobus gets disabled... i really like this app its amazing but i need some sort of way to export my recordings, and doing it by mail isn't gonna work for me... please fix this

Pretty much a scam
2 updates a year just to clear bad reviews, I know most of these awesome 5 star reviews are crap, it's a toy, almost as useful as the 99cent voice changing apps this company sells. They made it look nice in the updates, but audio quality is lame overall. Buy Twisted Wave for recording audio, buy this if you want to disguise your voice and sound foolish. Can't believe I have it on my iPad still tucked in a dusty corner... It's getting deleted after this...Ripoff...BTW 2 stars is generous for this crap app.

Great app, bad UX
I'm writing this because I care: VS provides lots of vocoder functionality but unfortunately suffers from a layout that favors parallelism over usability best practices, resulting in some fairly confounding experiences. The good: Cylon welcoming committee, the innovative reticule "eye", EQ presets. The bad: everything else - there's too many problems to list here but overall it needs a serious revamp; why are the parent drawer buttons below their child containers and why do they sometimes get covered? Why do they appear more associated the effects knobs than their child functions? Why are distinctly different things using the same real-estate hogging red dot button? Recommendations: all routing could have 1 menu that includes the recorder, the keyboard needs more vert space and key size scaling, the "set" buttons could just be "favorites" at the top of a single drop-down slider for all sound presents (that ditches the red dot in favor of longer names).

Won't Import Audio!!!
I was REALLY psyched to use this app... But I'm dead in the water without being able to import audio. I have previously recorded audio that I can't re-record live. VoiceSynth will not allow me to import from ITunes or the IOS Pasteboard. I can see the option, but it doesn't recognize Pasteboard data OR ITunes. There is no way to get help on the website either. I HATE to give a bad review, but this is a real problem. I just spent money on an app I can't use.

I like the free version
The free version gives me a very fast and AWSOME way to convert a sentence or word into vocoder like stuff instantly ! The pro version hurts my eyes and is great sounding but very hard on my eyes . Peace christo

Abandoned & Forgotten
I bought this app almost a year ago, and no significant aspects have changed as far as functionality. In that time I enrolled in a school for audio engineering and have started working towards a career as an independent producer. A lot of what I do is with Cubasis and Korg, and I require strong vocals recorded with an external condenser microphone. If this app could produce finely tuned vocals, I'd still be using it. Even when I try the "robot" voice preset it is very hard to manipulate, and key selection is only possible if done in real time. Good luck with that; used it to make one song, then deleted the app. Sad to see Qneo move towards making a more simple app as their primary platform. It will get old quickly and Antares will someday blow this group out of the water.

Beautiful! It's Perfect!
I sure can use this app for my cartoon animation projects with my other apps, as well for my music industries by having my cartoons singing their greatest original pop tunes; that goes along with "PhotoPuppet" HD and "Explain Everything"apps.
I've been looking for an app like his for a very long time, way before digital recording!

Was good until the app dropped audiobus support
I bought this app because it was supported in the effects slot in audiobus. As a result I’ve made some awesome music, not just funny voice changing. However now that support for audiobus is being dropped, unfortunately I have to drop the rating to one star. I will go back to 5 stars when/if AB support comes back.

Removal of Audiobus support is disappointing
This app was a great app, until the developers decided to remove Audiobus support. Poor decision to separate this app from the primary tool of iOS musicians. Will no longer be useful in my workflow.

Superior vocoder!
This is an excellent vocoder, probably the best one in the entire App Store. That said, for 10 bucks it is pretty weak that it is not a universal app. You can't seriously expect people to spend 10 bucks again to have the same app on their iPhone after they already purchased it for their iPad. You will develop a stronger fan base if you fix this and show a little generosity. Also, if it becomes a universal app, I will come back here and change my review from 4 to 5 stars.

Essential App
This is the best and most versatile vocoder on iOS. It's well-designed, has tons of options, and sounds totally amazing if you know what you're doing. All the reviews on here saying this app sounds bad, well, I hate to break it to you guys, but you probably aren't very good musicians.

awesome, buy it and experiment!
this app is awesome, especially i love it currently as a filter on audiobus. you can get some crazy sounds out of it. if you're into audio manipulation you can have a lot of fun with this app, but it is also a powerful piece of code capable of great live vocoder effects. I love the interface as well, just wish the recording functions were a bit easier to nav. The presets are wonderful and a great place to start to play around and hear what this app can produce.

Fantastic App / Fantastic Support
I recently purchased Voice Synth for both the iPad and my new iPod Touch (5th Gen). This app is a serious program with vast capabilities in vocoder customization. This is, by far, the best, most robust, app I have ever purchased.
I also wanted to comment that Qneo has the most responsive customer support that I have ever encountered in iTunes. I posed a complicated question regarding input and output capabilities. Qneo rep, Andre, responded back the next day with a very comprehensive and helpful response. His tech support well exceeded my expectations, as he directed me to multiple additional information sources to assist in my question.
Bottom line. Voice Synth is a serious app with a ton of capabilities. Qneo is a top-notch developer that stands by their products with superior customer support. 5 stars!

A great tool for taking creativity to the next level
Recently, I ditched my PC DAW environment in favor of a more compact and far more useful iPad-centric set up. I came across this app, Voice Synth, along with Audiobus and wow, it couldn't be simpler to use and it creates fantastic vocoder tracks in my multitracker. I'm so busy just playing with it just to 'see what this does' or 'what that does', that I'm finding the process as entertaining as the final product it creates. Love this app!

This is so cool!!! Good for trolling on PSN or Xbox live!
With this, you can change your voice to anything! I know people on PSN and Xbox are trying to troll people. If you get a male to male cord with a 3.5 mm on one side and a 2.5 mm on the other, you can easily plug this in to your controller for Xbox!

More Fun Than A Barrel Of Monkeys :)
I hesitated for a long time about buying this because robot type voices just aren't my thing nor is T-Pain AutoTune sounds ….. but …. I was compelled to buy anyway and I'm really really happy I did. There is so much more to this than what it initially appears to be. You can make some really nice beat loops but the record length is limited to 10 sec. …. so …. this is in huge need of AudioBus. If you have even just a little interest in this … get it …. it's really a great creative tool and a whole lot of fun!

Do not listen to Negatives!
This app is amazing and everybody that is giving it a bad review is obviously having trouble figuring it out for whatever reason. Plug in your headphones, put this thing on "live" and start playing! I've been playing for an hour straight since I downloaded it!
How about a Qneo and FL studio mobile collaboration? .99 plugin that enables you to use this with fl studio effectively. Maybe even make it $2: $1 for Qneo and $1 for FL. It would be epic!

Amazing voice processor
This app is a lot of fun to play with, as well as being a useful tool for generating vocoder and autotune style effects. It's also gorgeous, I'd call it a flagship app to show off how an iPad app can be pretty and functional as well as deep and powerful. Tons of presets give you all the standard robot voice effects that you would expect, as well as many, many more. Or sculpt your own effects with all the knobs and buttons in real time. The developer was very responsive when I emailed about Audiobus support. Hopefully that will be available soon, which will make this even more of a killer music app.

This app lets u do almost anything that can be done in a studio...high pitch voice, deep voice. The famous auto tune(t-pain voice) u can do it in real time or record. Once u get use to the controls ur gonna love this app! Great app

I am loving this app!
I just purchased this app yesterday, and from my experience so far, it is worth more than the purchase price. It is capable of amazing effects I didn't think were possible on an iPhone. The interface is very nice looking, considering so many things are packed into one app. When I had a question about importing sounds to be modified, and the developer responded to my email question (literally) within five minutes. The response was clear and helpful. I'm impressed with this app on all levels. Great job!

Really fun and professional works with io Dock fine.
This is an amazing App. It DOES work with the Alesis io Dock perfectly(use mic input 2 not 1). I use my Shure Sm7b->io Dock....works wonderfully. I always had Midi issues with the io dock so maybe that's a prob if you need midi. I sent the key and intervals...works perfectly.

Ridiculously Fun
I imagine my neighbors are like "what the .." Watching me walk around my house singing and talking to myself through a headset. This app is a tremendous value. It turns your voice into an instrument and allows you to create quick, easy sonic experiments that approximate anything from robo-talk to electric guitar thrashing. Tons of useful presets, extremely intuitive, very very fun.

Just About Right
I don't usually write reviews so this program is worth my time. I use it for business and pleasure. I would like to see longer sampling, 10 seconds seems to be the standard. Longer sampling = more stars.

GREAT VOCODER!
Seriously this app is fantastic. I personally feel the menu layout for the iPhone is well thought out with the real estate there is to work with. The sound processing is phenomenal. This app has sooooo many more capabilities than just as a "robot" voice. Very professional design and execution. Great GREAT job!

Nice sounds!! Love it!!!
I have to say I had a slight issue at first but customer support was very prompt and polite.
The app is decent. Of course the real estate on the iPhone is pretty limited so I understand why there are about eight menus. The menus are a little all over the place and could be a little easier to access but I don't develop production apps!
All and all I really dig this app!! I use it more than I thought I would..

Simply Awesome
This is a jewel. The ability to paste formants and 3 different modes with effects and eq is awesome. And virtual midi and core midi? Only thing I would add would be background audio, LPF and resonance XY Pad and custom voice modes. Good job!

Stellar App!!! This App needs to be used as an example ...
... to all Developers to see what a quality product looks and feels like. The interface actually comes to life and is so simple and efficient I don't think I would add anything else. (maybe more file transfer options other than email, but in reality, all apps can't contain all options and email is just fine.)
This is a well oiled machine and the only vocoder I need. It contains every parameter a vocoder contained since invention.
Excellent work, I wish all Developers thought in your capacity. This is how it should be. Thank you!

Great for sound design
For $2.99 this app is a steal! It has so many options and controls, a live sampler, loop recorder, recording deck and midi. Its not only great for vocal recording but for sampling various sounds. I have only used this app for a short while but already extremly pleased and amazed at how easy it is to use this app.

Great
You may think $10 is a lot but this program is fantastic. You can do so much with it. Watch the demos to see and hear what it can do, first. If it meets your needs, you can't go wrong. Prepare to spend a lot of time tweaking and redesigning some of your tunes. Many possibilities for creativity.

Good App with Lots of Potential
This is a nice app that generates interesting sounds, but it could be better, mainly by becoming more accessible to typical users, who are probably not experts in vocoders.
First, I would flesh out your preset offerings by adding a couple more distinctively different sounds. Many users may find this is all they need.
Second (and really most importantly), there's so much going on in the UI that it's been hard to figure out what each control does. I would simplify the UI by showing only a few basic choices, allowing experts to invoke more intricate controls only when they need to.
Third, I'd like to see you add a "metronome", so that I could record a part for insertion into a composition in another environment like GarageBand or StudioTrack.
Thank you for your hard work, I think it's a very promising app with incredible performance potential. Now if only you could make it easy enough for the unsophisticated masses...like me!

It is a waste of time and money:(
Steer clear of this app it would still be a waste at .99 unless your looking for a toy. Definitely not worth the $5 asking price relative to the other great music apps out for the same price.
-poor sound quality
-limited controls severely cripple the usefulness. You can make yourself sound like a dark robot or a ghost but that's about it.
-could be a fun toy at .99 not for the people looking to make music or use for effects processing.

Pretty meh.
This could use a huge quality boost. I understand trying to keep it simple for people but the output is very murky and distorted. It does not have the clarity I had hoped for.
It does do what it advertises and it does a good job of tuning your voice and it can lead to some interesting things.
PLEASE create linear movement on the knobs. Tying to figure out how to turn them is very annoying. Also an input gate would be nice so we aren't herring static getting auto tuned in the background.
I can't recommend this app yet but I think it has room to grow and I do like some things about it a lot. Keep it up qneo and let's see what this thing can really do.

Great intro price!
The apple earphones that come with iPhones are super noisy. I pulled out the iRig mic and presto! Sounds great! Been looking for an iPad vocoder to use for live performance and didn't want to spend the $11 the other app is charging. This app does exactly that and more. Can't wait to see what's in store for future upgrades.
**request: please remove sound byte upon launch. It's hard to switch between apps in a live environment and have it broadcast to the audience.

Amazing...
I cannot even fathom why anyone would leave a negative review for this amazing app. It is hands down the BEST vocoder there is on app store right now. I almost did not get it because of a couple bad reviews, glad I took the chance as I was looking for a vocoder for a project I am working on.
I do have a few suggestions. 1. A countdown to record option for recording into banks. 2. A pitch/sample pad, I do like the rotating one, but a pad to drag finger around would allow sampling in 4 ranges instead of a linear up/down knob for pitch. Pads work great on these touch screens.
The live option works people just plug in headphones, they don't need a mic on it. I can understand why due to feedback. Oh and the sound quality is great, worked well even in a room with TV in the background.
I have to admit that I had WAY too much fun with the live feature! Folks, this is an easy 5 star recommendation. I would jump on this while it is on sale.

This the first real good voice app that I have seen. This will open up nice possibilities in music making. Keep evolving the concept, I think you are in the right track.

Does what it says!
This is a great app for the $5 intro price. I'm not sure what everyone is expecting, but I found this to be a pretty competent vocoder. I sold my Korg R3 and was missing some vocoding in my new keyboard, for five bones I've found myself with a pretty adequate replacement. The addition of midi in the next update will be great. Buy it, it's a great app to have in your extremely portable studio. Technology rules!

Finally a terrific vocoder app!
I've been waiting for an app like this for a long time. Tried other vocoder apps, but none come close to what this can do. Voice Synth is very easy to pick up and use. I'll be able to promptly finish up some songs that needed vocals. And it's a lot of fun to play with, but it's not just a toy. Also, one person said it didn't work. But it worked flawlessly for me. You have to make sure you have headphones plugged in, and activate live play mode, that's all. The videos will show you the features, if you can't figure it out. If you haven't watched the demo, start there. That's what first showed me how sweeet this app is. Finally, a great vocoder app! Great job. And i look forward to exciting updates.
