Look at birth/death dates
You need to go through this app and check your dates....JS Bach died in 1750. Not 1844...makes me not want to trust the rest of the articles if you can't get that right.

Impressive but there are flaws
The structure and interface for the app is incredible, but the information like others said cant be trusted. I encourage you to work on the accuracy and then it would be an Awesome app!

No retina display compatibility?
Very bad resolution. I didn't even want to read anything because it's so bad. Looks promising, but no longer taking up almost a gig of space on my ipad.

Okay.
There are lot of typos in this. For example John F. Kennedy was born in Brooklyn, not Brookline. And Julius Caesar's right hand man was Mark Antony, not Mark Anthony. Also, Julius Caesar's death is completely wrong. He did not die from a chill he caught while sailing. He was assassinated, stabbed several times on the Ides of March. (March 15). It is a good app for the most part but make sure the information is correct. Thank you.

I think it's a very good app. No one gets all the information right.so while I enjoy these I always look to other sources. The app does well.

Needs Improvements
Needs a more professional feel. Seems as if it was created or a project in a high school history class. Either needs to add more biographies and a new interface or needs to lower the price to $2.

World's most influential? There's Confucianists, Islamists, Taoists, dictators, warriors, and murderers. The most obvious missing person is probably the most well documented....Jesus Christ! SHOCKING OMISSION, unless you're biased.

Decent program but lacks substance and accuracy of data. It could stand improvements. An index would be a good place to start.

Not useful
Good idea, terrible execution. No index, no table of contents, no search function, just a bunch of crummy icons usually leaving the subject a total mystery. No way to go directly to any individual and the content is pathetically brief. You can learn more about any of these people at dozens of websites like Wikipedia.
The bios are presented alphabetically by first name! Sheesh, give me a break. Nothing but disappointment for me.

Just as others have mentioned, there is incorrect info (dates, name transpositions, etc.). Also disappointed that there are not as many women included.

Biography
I enjoy the unique visual interface and layout. Great to use as an introduction to a period in history or research project with middle school and high school students. I agree more women in history need to be represented and sources should be cited.

Very pretty & I find the layout fun. Haven't gotten too far - first person I looked at, Amelia Earhart, has incorrect date of birth. She certainly did not live into her 70 s. I hope the rest of the app is more accurate.
I would happily have just contacted the app creator to point this out but never discovered a contact link.

Confusing dates
Look at the dates for James Clerk Maxwell... If you read the dates for birth and death at the top of the page and then read the biography on the right side of the page, it says that his mother died 55 years before he was ever born. Obviously, something is not right there and the dates are not correct. I am disappointed because I thought I could learn some new information, not misinformation. :/

Want to like, but...
I want to like this app, great idea. But there are so many spelling errors and grammar errors, that it makes the app not trust worthy. Also, some info is wrong!!! Who wrote this? Did you even know about history. Please fix your errors and check your info. Also, the info from the first page is repeated on the second page but in bullet points. I don't need to read the info twice. Please update Mr. Mohammed publisher!!!

First version. Good start, but clearly needs updates...soon!
As an early version release, you can see the potential of this app. But, updates are absolutely essential, if nothing else to justify its almost 1 gigabyte download size.
1. There are factual mistakes that need to be corrected immediately.
2. The English is substandard and detracts from the user experience. The developer needs to address this. Why is it so hard to have apps like this proofread by people with commendable English language skills? Some of the grammar errors could be picked out by an elementary school student.
3. There are way too few woman of accomplishment included in the app. I am a teacher. This app, sadly, perpetuates the myth that females can't achieve at as high a level as their male counterparts.
4. As it is, the app is more focused on style than substance. This makes it more appropriate for a young (elementary school) audience. Adding more content would expand the potential user base. That would be good for the customer and the developer.
Look forward to updates that hopefully address these issues.

This app would be a good one to use with my 3rd graders. However, it needs more women and it would be nice if the menu had the names of the people with the picture.

Inaccuracies
In Columbus' bio, the author rightly states that Columbus discovered Hispaniola, however, mistakenly refers to it as modern day Jamaica, even presenting the Jamaican flag as a visual. Anyone familiar with geography know that Dominican Republic and Haiti both make up this island.
This serious error calls into question the validity of the entire app. There are also grammatical mistakes that lead one to believe that English is not the author's native tongue.

I rarely write a review, but I was so impressed with this app that I took the time to do so immediately! The app provides a great deal of information in a compact, easy-to-read format. The visuals and music (when relevant) enhance the biographical input. I look forward to seeing more biographies added. Good job, developers!

Decent Start, but...
As far as I know, there are no other Apps of this type so I applause this entry. It is also attractively laid out. However, three huge concerns. It is clearly not written or edited by someone whose first language is English, so it is tortuous to read. Also, sources for the material are not given so I wonder if I can trust the information. Also, with only 3 women represented, this perpetuates the stereotypical perspective that mainly men make significant contributions.
