I love it

Issue with Calendar and had to start over
I like all of the features. Well thought out. However, I started noticing the years and months changed and I could not figure out how to remedy without starting over. It's almost like the internal clock got thrown off. A bug to fix.

Simply Wonderful!!!
The app is easy to use. I like how it shows interest rate and payoff date in the summery. I like how you can see the monthly payments and how easy it is to show you paid extra or charged something to a credit card.
Only thing I would like to see different is the summery screen. I would like it to list debts by pay-off date instead of interest rate. Other than that, this is the best debts manager app I have used.

Helpful App for debt reduction
This App has been really helpful in keeping pace with current debts and providing a basic plan for paying it off. Gives a little level of achievement to pay off debts faster than the original plan and see a final zero balance.

I thought it would be great, but...
I thought this would work great for me, but I just today noticed the amortization tables aren't correct for some reason. That is, they're showing fewer payments, and this an earlier payoff date, than is/are accurate. I'm not seeing the same problem in a similar app, so I have to think that the problem is with this app.

Love, but one suggestion
I love this app and "look forward" to paying bills, never thought I'd ever say that. I like being able to check off each monthly payment and seeing my debt go down each month. One wish, a monthly summary page of the upcoming month that shows each payment amount, to whom and in date order, that could also use to check off each payment as they are made. Overall, the app is simple, fast and very useful.

Debt Manager is a great app!
This app works as promised. Easy to enter information. Gives good options for decision-making and allows for switching between spreadsheet and graphical views. Nice visualization of comparison of debt management with snowball approach versus not using a snowball approach. I love that the app works and syncs between my iPhone and iPad. And it has an excellent backup feature. The snowflake option is a small item that is quite helpful. Overall this is a SUPER debt management app!

Had several debt apps over the years and most didn't do backups or were cumbersome in one way or another. So after I had to restore my phone recently I went looking around and found this debt app. Glad I did. Has many more features & fields than my previous apps and does Dropbox backup. Does more then I expected!
I wanted something simple so I could manage my credit cards. This exceeded my expectation. It has so many options. My favourite is the snowball one which shows reports of how paying a little more effects the interest you end up paying.

Excellent Tool
I tried using another debt manager but it wouldn't allow you to adjust balances. I like this app you can add transactions to your credit card, the graphs give excellent comparisons between the snowball effect and no snowball effect. This is an excellent tool for understanding debt, looking into the future when planning for retirement and becoming debt free.

Confusing to Me
This app was easy to navigate and listing my debt was simple to do, but I didn't really understand the "snowball" concept. I always thought of the snowball effect was paying off debts from lowest balance to highest (and that was the default option) but the graphs and charts didn't seem helpful nor was it easy to determine how much extra I needed to apply to each payment to reach any goals. When I added extra "snowflake" payments, it did not reflect on my balances immediately. Another user suggested it would reflect at the end of the month which is not useful to me...

Very Best Debt Reduction App Evet
Easy to use. Extremely helpful along with being very colorful. Wonderful charts that are easy to read. Allows you to use different strategies along and also helps you to determine how each strategy will look in the future. Highly recommend!

Very handy
This makes budgeted more fun, and actually makes you want to pay down your debt, just to see the percentage paid rise!
It does take a little finagling at first to make your snowball, monthly payments and one off payments line up. But once you get it sorted out, it's easy.

Very good app
My only complaint is, for my student loans, it will not allow me to enter what my min payment actually is; but says "min payment must not be less than $x.xx".... Then, i still get the error when i enter $x.xx, so i have to add a penny. Some of my student loans I'm paying interest only, and paying off higher interest debt first. Anyway, so i add the difference as a transaction, so the math is correct.

A light at the end of the tunnel
I love this app because it gives you a payoff date, and allows you to see how extra payment above the minimums each month will affect that date. It can get discouraging when you're scrimping each month to pay down debt, but don't know exactly when you will be done. Great tool.

Simply Excellent!!!
I really like this application. It actually works as advertised. I've used 5 other applications purporting to compile, analyze, and offer a reasonable strategy based on the "snowball" theory and this is the only one that actually works without error. I'm no financial expert, just a regular guy trying to escape the morass of debt and I highly recommend it. This program will Really help you achieve your goal to eliminate debt within a reasonable time. Entries and calculations are effortless and I especially like the "snowflake" feature. Try this APP, you will not be disappointed!

Best I've found.
I'm a personal finance blogger & podcaster, and have been looking for a budget version to track where we are on our debt repayment plan.
This, by far, is the best I've found. The reports are easy to generate, it's simple to enter in the debt and get an idea of where we are daily and still see the big picture.

What just happened?!?!?
I love this app. I love that I can play around with the snowball and snowflakes. I love that I can add more money to certain debt, I can see when it would be paid off. However, after trying to figure out how to see my reports it reset itself to the current month. Now all the months I have made a payment have erased and I am not sure if the information is current. Please fix this problem!!!!

Love the tool but found a defect
Love how you can manage expenses as they are paid in acceleration or used as needed to account for unexpected expenses.
In the process, I found the balance transfer menu did not have a cancel or done button to get out of the menu. You have to wait hours before the application 'releases' it's state to default to the main screen. Otherwise, a great tool. Hope you fix this soon.

Works well with YNAB goals
I wanted something that I can customize which debt gets targeted first, instead of just by interest or amount. I also wanted an app that lets me customize how much extra goes to debt each month. I have a fixed amount and do monthly "snowflakes" love those snowflakes.

Correctly amortizes snowball payoff
This is the first software or web tool that correctly amortizes the snowball payoffs. Most, including Quicken, apply the whole snowball amount to the final payment of a debt regardless of final payment amount. That throws off the correct payment of the next debt for that month which should use the remainder of the snowball amount and then the following month use the full snowball amount. Kudos!!! Exactly what I've been hoping for in amortization schedules. Could you link this to OneDrive cloud storage for backing up?? Thanks!!

Great app
Only gave it 4 stars because it's a paid app and it's not formatted for iPhone 6 screen. This does not impede the function of the app and the layout is really nice. I like how you can turn the phone to landscape and view payoff charts. Also the ability to customize your payoff plan and you can instantly see the interest savings by paying one thing off verses another. Great app!

Excellent App!
I've tried several apps meant to do the same as this one, but they always left out some crucial pieces that left the snowball calculations incorrect and the app next to worthless. Even the Equifax Fast Pay Plan online can't get it right but you nailed it! You've thought of everything. This is terrific work and definitely worth paying for.

Great app
Love this app and all the options it has! Reading previous reviews, it's clear that the app has improved. While I was putting in all of my debts today, I was stumped on my large credit card. While I love that I can put the APR into the details, I would love an option to split it. I have 2 separate percentages on that card. One for purchases and one for cash advances (yes, I was shamefully that person once upon a time). Ultimately I just split up the the two totals according to my statement and made the best guess. Really a great app though, and I love the snowball feature! Completely worth 99 cents.

I have used a few different debt trackers, and this by far is the best. It is the most clear, and easy to use. It gives you more options than others, such as adding transactions to individual debts. Want to get out of debt? This is your best bet! Good luck!

I've been searching for quite a while for an app that would help me keep track of all my debts. It that can be customized and help me do a debt snowball with the encouragement of a payoff date for my debt. There are so many out there that don't let you edit or even enter certain important details. Bravo for making this so customizable.

I really like this app and it's certainly the best of its competitors. That being said, a huge limitation for me it that there is no auto-synchronization between multiple devices. So I always have to go to my iPad to use Debt Manager. I would LOVE to have all the data replicated to my iPhone. Also, the reporting is a bit weak. I'd really like to see some consolidated reports of what has been paid already and what is still due in a given month: A report that summarizes debt pay off dates, a report that summarizes monthly payments, and a calendar view would be great. I'd also like to see payment reminders on my iDevice.

I really like this app, it's put everything right there where I can see it. Two things though, varying snowball payments would be great. And for some reason when you look into the future the min payments go up instead of staying the same. Makes it to where I can't tell when it would be paid off.

This app gave me hope!
I have over $470,000 debt in mortgage and graduate student loans (from five lenders with all different rates) so it was so confusing to even know where to begin. This app organized it all and gave me options with clear explanations! I feel encouraged and have a plan now! Thank you!

Great app
Makes you see where your money is going and a payoff date. The one thing I can see would make it better would be (to add what your credit limit is which adds a available credit spot).
All else is great and as I learn to use it more I can see when my bills will be paid off and money saved.

I've only had it for 24 hrs but so far I love it. The only thing I wish I could see was all of my payment amounts in one spot for every month instead of having to click on each debt individually. Maybe there is a way & I just haven't discovered it yet.

Great but needs one small improvement
App very smart. When I set my custom order for pay off it caught on the my goal.
One thing I wish it had was the ability for you to enter the original balance or limit so I didn't have to make up a first payment to get current balance. I had to do this cause my goals are based around not just paying down debt but helping my credit score fastest.

Add snowball to future payoff
I might just be missing this but once the first bill is paid off I want to add that amount to the second, then third. The snowball feature wants to start from the beginning and that doesn't make sense to me. Besides that, it's a great app. I guess I have to wait until the first bill is paid to add that new amount to the next bill.

Meets expectations
I have been aware of programs like this (which calculate how to distribute $ to pay off debt in the least costly manor). The usability was very intuitive. I don't see how to customize the order in which you pay off the debts...but that is not something I care a great deal about. The results are non intuitive but indisputable and fun to obtain.

Helpful!!!
It is extremely helpful in calculating $ saved on interest and changing payments. I would highly recommend it to anyone with debt. Generally paying highest interest debt first is most beneficial naturally, but you can come up with your own ideas and what works for you! Also, it puts everything into better perspective.

Lacks flexibility
I really like the concept of snowball payments, but the app is not convenient for the self employed who experience irregularity in income. Sometimes I can pay more, other times I need to adjust the amount in the snowball category.
The way the app is currently set up, I have to delete out the entire debt and re-enter the debt.
When taking on a new debt with a close due date, it is also an issue in getting the app to reflect payment due date.
It would be nice it the app allowed the user to customize due dates and payoff dates especially for loans that have balloon payments.
I know it isn't Quickbooks, but a little more customization for the end user would be nice.

Great app
Really like this app. I especially like to flexibility it gives you to edit monthly payments so you can see your progress in the reality of month to month. Also there are multiple ways to plan your debt reduction, so it can work for many different situations. Well worth it.

Easy to use
I love this app. I downloaded 3 others and really didn't like them. I kept going back to my spread sheet but this is so much better. I use the payment reminder and I love that it figures out for me how much I paid towards principle if I had to make a smaller payment and I can manually change payment amounts which I couldn't do once I entered how much I was paying in the other apps.

Just Compared A Dozen Apps
This one is the most comprehensive and informative. It's also gorgeous to look at though that's not the reason to get it. It's VERY clear in its ability to tell you where you stand and how payment changes can make a difference in your debts. Other apps do this but there are too many steps to do it…this is quick and easy.
And: turning your device gives you AMAZING reports.

Worth it
Everything I need in a debt program. I wasn't really sure what I needed but bought this based on reviews. Not disappointed! I have total control and visual reference (important to me) over my debts.
I love the different scenarios and snowball exclusion option. This app was the only one I could find that allows for intro APR rates/balance transfer specials etc. Crucial features.

Awesome concept! But, needs iCloud!
Love this app! Would be 5 stars if it had iCloud or other auto-sync feature. It does have backup and restore which you can use on multiple devices, but that gets confusing if you update data from multiple devices without syncing back & forth in between. Hope to see iCloud added soon!

Best Debt App I've Tried
Out of several debt apps I've tried, this one seems to be the best due to being the most versatile. This one has plenty of ways to customize strategies for paying off various types of debt (i.e. introductory interest periods). It's simple to use and well-organized. I agree with a previous reviewer in that it would be even better if the data could be synched with my iPhone. It's still a very valuable tool.

Needs Sync!!
Beautiful UI and very easy to set up and use. My only complaint is that it does not have a sync option. My husband and I both have iPhones and need to keep track of our debt. Even with it jot having a sync option...I still give it 5 stars because of how beautiful it is. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add sync for multiple iPhones.

Eye Opener
This tool is fantastic. We are on our 2nd month and this gives a great game plan. Easy to load the info and easy to look at. The custom snowball method is great. I will be completely debt free in 5 years instead of never.
We were $25 and $75 and $100 ourselves to death. We can now look at it on the screen and manage our money. It will save us $40,000 in interest.

Good App....But
I like the app's design. It will help me get out of debt. My issue stems from the app not forgetting data after deletion. For example, when you delete or add a snowflake dollar amount within a debt (one-time payment), the app doesn't respond reliably. This leaves you questioning the apps accuracy as you scroll down debts looking in table view. This same issue occurs when adding a snowball amount in strategy. Fix this please and it will be 5 stars.

Revised Post (the original was ...It worked fine until I synced it with I tunes)
Great Program !!!! Be sure to backup your data in the program. My problem was a result of me not doing so (probably should've read the instructions). Do not attempt to sync with Itunes until you've backed up. But the best part is the Customer Support. Mark replied to my email within minutes to resolve my problem. He also followed up the very next day. Great App and Support!!!!!

The Reports are amazing and there are loads of options to help you see how you can pay off your debt faster. I love the HTML export with all the debt payments in a single table.
The only suggestion I have is to add a feature to exclude a debt from the Snowball. One of my debts does not allow extra payments.
