Disappointing

Most of the time this app doesn't work. When I try to check in or check my flight status, it tells me that there is no internet connection, even though I am connected and everything else works fine. Then there are times it brings me to the last page when checking in only to say, error, try again later. What's the point?

JetBlue has THE best customer service of all the airlines I have travelled with. The crew is so personable with all passengers, young and old. They are attentive to the customer's needs - many times even anticipate their needs!
I am always observing, so I can say for a fact that all of it is true.

Log in issue

Not sure why this keeps happening but whenever I sign in it gives an error message saying to try back in a few minutes. This has happened multiple times over the course of a few months. Please fix or look into this issue.

Get with the program already.
Use Apple Pay, why do I need to scan a card. The major question is what use of it if in airport you have to do it all over again with your terrible outdated software terminals that hang and freeze on each step and when it fails completely to stand in line to get someone to do all of it again?

Missing features

I use this app every time to book my flights. It is missing two critical components:
1. Your progress to Mosaic.
2. iPhone Widget does not display upcoming flights, it shows nothing. Why is there a widget that does not work?

Travel tools addition

I love the app and use it all the time for every JetBlue flight I take. The only thing I would like to see right now is the addition of enterprise car rental as a partnership in travel too. Just like I try to only fly JetBlue I try to only rent from enterprise.

Need to do something with your account, have a trip actually show up as an itinerary, see your linked family members? Nope, not in this app. "Need to do XYZ, go to the website". That's no example of happy user experience either. I expected so much more from JetBlue.

Does It's Job

I fly between seatac and Boston with jetblue multiple times a year. The app has worked great but I have payed the $10 for the "Even More Speed" option and the line was closed. Either way hasn't given me problems for the last 3 years.

Good App

I use it often, most times without an issue. Saves time on the check in process, especially if you are cutting it close in getting to the counter. Another plus is if you are not checking bags, it makes the whole process smooth. On the other hand if you are checking bags, be weary of the long lines for the bag drop.

Needs work

I fly A LOT and switch airlines constantly. This App is less user friendly than others. The checkin feature is not user friendly. Unless you really pay attention, you can skip over checking bags as part of you Checkin process. I feel this is done on purpose so that they can charge higher fees for checking bags at the airport. Once you complete the checkin and pass the option to check bags you can't go back. I like the airline but the app needs work to be more user friendly. I also don't like that the app does not allow you to change seats prior to check in. Most all other airlines allow this.

Latest version: Which flight booking app shows this message when trying to book a flight? : "JetBlue was unable to complete the requested transformation.

Please optimize the app for iPhone 6 and above. The text is just too large and the user interface looks clunky with the large text. Also, it is slow to move across different stages of booking. It takes a while to calculate total fare and isn't smooth overall.

Needs Improvement

JetBlue really needs to invest in application and web development if it means to increase (or maintain) its market share. An increasing number of flyers are booking and monitoring their flights exclusively through the mobile app. This application is glitchy, sometimes unstable, and is incapable of performing simple functions that can be achieved effortlessly through competitors' apps (e.g. making flight changes, viewing progress towards elite status, showing miles/points activity). The result is that customers become aggravated before JetBlue even gets a chance to make an impression at the gate. Like other smaller airlines, JetBlue depends on its customer service as a core competency; it's what differentiates them from competitors who offer lower fares and better rewards programs. However, this mobile app, along with the website, which also needs improvement, is just as much a part of the customer experience as checking a bag or interacting with a gate agent. The frustration I've experienced in using the JetBlue app and website was enough to convince me I should give my loyalty to another airline. Hopefully JetBlue pays more attention to this before more customers do the same.

Continues to be among the best airline apps

Among the best designed. Puts the info you need right up front. Very intuitive. Stable. Regular feature enhancements. About the only thing you can't do with it, at least that I've found, is buy an Even More Space seat with points (you can pay with $ but not points). Have to call their reservations line for that. But even that is a pleasure because you get to talk to the best customer service people in the airline industry. I'm a very happy Mosaic (their FF elite level) customer and hope JetBlue can keep it up - I used to be a big fan of Southwest but they've dropped off a cliff in terms of comfort and service. This great app is just one measure of JetBlue's ongoing excellence.

Used on my recent trip the boarding pass works. Please add passbook, also add the boarding pass for more than one (we were a part of 3 and it only saves my boarding pass) and please eliminate the annoying sound at startup. Please add on next update these suggestions.

Great could always be better

Not sure what app BostonFrank is using or what planes he's traveling on because JetBlue does participate in TSA precheck, they have free on board wifi in domestic flights, and definitely have mobile boarding passes that conveniently get added to your Apple wallet.
Generally this app is great. You can't check any of your point updates which is a little frustrating when you're a mosaic member and want to be ensure you're getting credit for next year and I haven't been able to log in for the past week but generally this app works fine.
I had to delete it and reinstall it and hope now it'll work.
You can use the app to purchase flights, check in, change seats, all that jazz. You can even see what free movies you'll be able to watch on the flight.
I very much like this app except for minor issues.

It can get better

I remember the days when you were treated so nicely and kindly at JetBlue counters. Unfortunately, JetBlue is becoming like the other airlines, all about the money. The charge for luggage, it was at no charge when you started. Now they want to charge for emergency rows. JetBlue you don't have to get gritty you are making plenty of money.
Please fix the app. If I want to make a seat change, I have to go to the website. American Airlines, Delta, Virgin America allows their customer to change their seats via the app before their flight day. I am really considering going back to American Airlines, the treatment is the same anyways...... Bad

Wow, really, Jetblue?

Rarely am I so motivated to write a review of an app, and it's usually because the app is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Unfortunately, in this case the app is extraordinarily bad. Not only did I experience the same login problems that other people have experienced here, but I have yet to successfully complete a mobile flight purchase.
After painstakingly entering in all the information necessary to book a flight, the app has always reported that "mobile purchases are not available at this time, please try again later. "
On top of this, JetBlue is one of the last holdouts in mobile boarding passes. How pathetic is it that in 2012 JetBlue does not have a mobile boarding pass option? Very.
No on-board wifi, no mobile boarding, no participation in TSA Precheck, tv screens that are tiny (by today's standards), frequently broken controls, less competitive pricing and a mobile app that is lackluster at best.

No one can help me

I had the JetBlue app but now I uninstalled it after today. I recently got married and had to change my name due to an upcoming flight that I made under my married name. I went online to change it, can't. So I call and they made the change for me. Okay, no worries, right... NOPE! My JetBlue app which was right next to me opened just signed out. I thought, "maybe it's updating with my new info" I waited 20 minutes. I try to sign in, denied. I tried again after an hour, denied. Mind you, I am able to sign in online with no problems with the same password. Okay, so now it's 3 hours later, DENIED. Now I'm mad, I call only to be told that there is nothing that can be done. I come here to see if there is an app support, Nope.I don't want to change my password again and I am really upset that there is nothing that can be done about this! Great if you have it, screwed if your married and have to change your name. (Which by the way is already stressful enough.)

Missing some key functions

I will say that their app works better than their website. Since I have to book through a third party for my job I can never get my trip to show up online at all until 24 hours before check-in. I've missed out on good opportunities to optimize changing my seat because I didn't have time to wait 15 minutes to talk to customer service every time which is utterly ridiculous.
Sorry for my rant, back to the app. The app works good if you are just wanting to view basic information or check-in. But it is simplistic and needs improvement. For example the AA app allows you to change your seat, this is surprisingly still not a feature with the JetBlue app. Features are also limited in what you can change on your profile.

Looks good, works good but only forward

This is an attractive app and functions well when making a reservation but it is not well designed for looking at options. I am used to AA which allows you to go back easily and edit. This app and the website versions do not allow you to step back easily and edit...many cases you need to start over. Also, it would seem better if you saw a summary of pending or final reservation with edit option next to each parameter so you can change it, such as seats, luggage, etc. The app requires you to progress through many screens to get to these points.
I like it but find it is easier to go to the PC and logon to the website. This is also a fault of many apps which seem limited. Possibly a fault of the device they have to run on.

Excellent app. Great design

The JetBlue app works very well. All pertinent buttons are easy to find. Boarding passes can be downloaded to Apple Wallet. Flight information is laid out extremely straightforwardly and with great design. Check in is very simple through the app. I usually don't book flights through the app, but the layout for this seems good despite being a little slow the time I did look. Overall it's a wonderful app for all of the functionality you would want after your flight has been booked. Can't speak to its utility for booking flights though.

Don't expect to get any flight updates

I am a True Blue member and have travelled with jet blue twice in the past two weeks. And, unfortunately, my experience with the app has been very sub par- creating inconveniences on both occasions. My first flight was subject to a gate change which I was never notified about via the app- which I use to supply my boarding pass. And again, for my flight today, found out via the status board and the agent at the gate that my flight was delayed 1.5 hours and there was still no notification (the gate agent actually mention that that particular flight crew had been delayed twice, so I know This wasn't breaking news). It's unsettling that small companies, with less resources than an airline, can operate their customer revive and operations technology effectively- to enhance the overall experience of their clients- but a major airline can't seem to turn this app into a value add for their end customers. Thanks for the extra time- both idle and confused in multiple airports this week JetBlue. My thoughts immediately go to how I could have spent an extra hour exploring a city that I dont travel to often, or enjoying one with family that aren't that close to home...but instead I'm sitting in an airport disappointed and still waiting for my flight status to be updated...

International check in is tricky

Works well for domestic travel, but it's tricky to check in for international travel. Every time I try to check in the day before or the day of international travel, I can't use the actual date of departure. If I select a date a week later, it allows me to proceed. The app should know my check in date since I booked my ticket through it, but you have to enter a date every time! And, it won't accept your real date of travel, so I put in a fake date of travel and it works. Also, sometimes for domestic travel, I can't pull up my boarding pass right before I'm supposed to board. So, I take a screenshot of the boarding pass and use that for security and boarding. Booking flights is very easy using the app.

Favorite airline with an almost perfect app

I love the ease of checking in, modifying my flight and the ability to add on car rentals, etc.
I did have an issue connecting to pull up my boarding pass while I was waiting to get on the even more speed line. Instead I had to go to the kiosk, wait on line and print it. Clearly defeating the purpose of the app and the "speed" part.
It would be great, also, if I could access my full account from the app. I want to see my points breakdown, update my account information at any time and keep a credit card stored.
It would be great also if JetBlue knew which airports had even more speed lines because multiple times Ive paid for it, sometimes adding it on the way to the airport, and there's no separate line available.

Critical Improvement Needed

As much as I love JetBlue's service, I have to say the app surfers from some critical features.
I was at GATE18 awaiting be onboard to flight LA. I wasn't listening to music or anything, the TV at the gate was saying flight to LA. The time passed by and it's time to fly, but the gate didn't open, I thought it was some regular delay like usual, so I just sat there. Then it was 10minutes late, I started to feel unease, so I took a look at the display on the gate, the info has changed to flight to SF, and I didn't hear the announcement( you guys have to know how difficult to hear in the big area like airport), I checked my JBlue app, and the info was right. I got so confused by the info displayed on the app despite the flight was changed to another gate and people with poor hearing would've missed the flight like I did.
Maybe you guys should update flight info display on the phone, make it sound or/and vibrate, so that the passenger would know. After all it's an important feature to have.
That being said, I was very pleased with JetBlue's services as they get me on to the next flight immediately with no charge.

Annoying and Frustrating

Most of the features are fine, but the same couple of issues have plagued this app for several years. I can't believe they've let this go on for so long. Quite frequently you are put into an endless update request loop, even when you have the most current version of the app. The only way I've been able to get past it is to reboot the phone. Even force quitting the app won't cancel the loop. Obtaining a boarding pass is a nightmare. First one must endure multiple cross-selling attempts. If you're fortunate enough to navigate through all the detours without accidentally ordering something you don't need/want, you still have less than a 50% chance of retrieving the pass. I've never been able to get my boarding pass on the first try. To add insult to injury; if you want to write a review for this app, beware. If you use a nickname that's already in use, it makes you start all over. Copy your text before you try to submit the review.

Streamlined and fast

Compared to other airline apps this one is the best. You can check your flight and check in early through your phone! You can use the app as your boarding pass without having to print it out. All your flight information is right there and clear and easy to find. Well organized and maintained. I has to fly a lot for a big convention weekend and having this on hand really helped to keep track of when i was leaving without having to lug stacks of paper around that would get lost.

I've been using this app for quite some time, the improvement that I could suggest is that to add TSA PRE check logo on the Apple IWACTH screen, many time that I travel thru JFK, I still need to get paper boarding pass due to the fact that TSA they don't let you get in Precheck line unless you show them boarding pass with TSA pre logo, I show them by boarding on my phone and then put it away in my book bag for scanning then another TSA ask me again for TSA PRE prove who's I no long have my phone with me, and I ask them to return my bag back so I can show them they refused to do that I show them my pass on the watch and they said that it did not show TSA pre :(

Cumbersome to buy tickets, strange error messages

There are some serious usability shortcomings with this app. For one thing, the ticket purchasing process is incredibly slow and cumbersome in the app. The experience is *worse* than just using a web browser on their site and even if you're logged in, you have to enter redundant information then step through a ridiculous number of pages to make a purchase. It's as if the app designers wanted to discourage this behavior (buying tickets from JetBlue). What are they thinking?
Also, you can only check in within 24 hours, but the app throws an error that says "there's a problem with your flight, please contact a representative" if you try to check in earlier. It's a simple fix: check the time stamp and give a meaningful message to the customer. After all, this user experience is part of what we're buying.

Major Flaw with KTN

Their new app has a major flaw in the Known Traveler Number field. The last character of your KTN does not show in the app and instead there is a "#" sign in the first character space. And for the only the first time since I've had TSA precheck (about 3 years) I didn't get it for a flight I used the app for to check in for my flight tomorrow. This could be a coincidence - I'm not an IT person and not sure if the TSA is scanning the info from the APP or the website (my TKN is correct and fully visible on the website) But either way - this is a programming flaw as I believe the program for the app was set up recognize only 9 characters (the length of the KTN) yet the app puts in "#" before grabbing the KTN. Isn't the "N" in the TKN and the "#" redundant? Lol!! And you can't uncheck the green check on the app in the KTN field to correct anything!!! JetBlue you need to fix this!

Too Much Trouble

Let me start by saying, I do not write reviews at all. I usually just deal with things and move on, but with this companies website and APP, I have had it! The APP is better than the website but not by much. There always seems to be a glitch somewhere that never allows for a smooth transaction. It should save some important information like, Emergency Contact, Frequent Flyer Number, Redress Number, but it does not. I travel extensively and use multiple airlines but this is the only one I have these problems with. It's such a task to just simply check-in or do anything at all, that I am really considering to just not fly Jet Blue anymore. I don't understand how such a large company can have such a poor website and APP.

Sharp edges make booking flight frustrating!

The JetBlue app is shiny and pretty, but its poor usability makes it frustrating and time-consuming to use. I tried to book a flight, and when selecting the specific flight I wanted from the list, it wasn't clear how to actually do it. I managed to stumble through it, though.
After selecting both flights for my round trip and entering all the passenger details, I clicked the hyperlink for the baggage restrictions - BIG mistake! When I finished reading and was ready to return to my flight booking process, I clicked the left arrow at the top of the screen, and it took me all the way back to the home screen! All the information I had entered was thrown away! This is the ultimate in showing no respect for the user - to just discard all the information they entered!
I started again, this time getting all the way to the payment method. I was nearly ready to click the Purchase button, and accidentally clicked the back button to inspect something I had entered on the previous screen. Again, everything I had entered was discarded with no warning, no "Are you sure?"
It is disheartening to encounter such blatant violation of basic user interaction rules!
Probably better to book on the web on a computer if you want to book a JetBlue flight.

Awesome airline

I used to give JetBlue 5 stars but to be fare I'm rating them with 4 stars. Why? Because the 1st checked bag was free now you have to pay. What sets this airline apart from other airlines is service, leg room, entertainment and snacks/drinks!
I love flying JetBlue whenever possible! You can never go wrong with this airline. As for the App, it is extremely easy to use. Maybe I'm biased but Jet Blues App is very informative/straight forward whether you are purchasing a ticket, checking in or checking the flight status or seeing where the plane is coming from. Also you get notifications if flight has been delayed, cancelled, or gate changed.

Jet Blue

Overall the app is very good and Jet Blue continues to improve it with well thought out enhancements.
I would like to see them keep the Mosaic members in mind a little bit more. For example I've had issues when I move my seat. I've already used my miles to upgrade and if I move into a different seat it charges me again for the upgrade. The app (and even the web site) should know that the purchase for the upgrade has already been taken care of and not charge again just because you move your seat. It should also know to credit it your miles if you move out of an extra space seat into a regular seat.
Overall it's an excellent tool.

Well designed but extremely buggy

I would consider it a great app since it is so easy to use, and it has a well designed user interface. Unfortunately the app is extremely buggy and very unreliable. Connection issues with login id, freezing when changing screens, locked screens, unable to return a resulting query. Issues happen constantly. I am a frequent jet blue flier for business and I must always have my laptop ready at an airport if I need to access my account since I cannot rely on this app. It's extremely frustrating having to depend on this app and no other airline app that I have used has as many issues as this JetBlue app. I wished they'd fix it.

Easy check-in and upgrade

So glad I used this app rather than website to check in. Fast convenient. Once u logged in with my JetBlue user ID (which I already had) it automatically pulled up my flight info based on my frequent flyer number even though I bought ticket in Expedia. Checked in and upgraded to even more space seat with a few clicks. Never before written a review for an app but this was such an efficient app I wanted to share my thoughts with others who may be on the fence about downloading yet another app vs just using website to check-in. Totally worth it.

Don't use to book a flight

Even on a screen as large as my iPhone 6 I had major issues booking a flight. You pick a seat but then you have to tap somewhere else on the screen for it to except it. Same with all the credit card info you fill in here, but you have to tap there. I somehow blew away my credit card entry and had to start over. Then apparently in frustration from tapping several items I inadvertently ordered $26 of travel insurance. Then I had to call JetBlue and be on hold for 11 minutes only to be told that I have to call the insurance company to get a refund. Their tech-support was more than willing to admit that they get complaints about the app all day long. They should hire some usability experts and try again.

The app is great for checking in but not for buying a ticket

It's great for checking flight times and status. And almost buying a ticket. But I buy an upgraded seat which should be $85 and it gives me 2 line items of $85 adding $170 to my ticket. This has happened with 3 different transactions over 2 months. And before that point there are too many steps of checkboxes on a tiny screen which waste time. Because I haven't checked that I don't want to buy insurance or pay $100 to bring my dog or read every sentence about hazardous materials, it kicks me back to earlier screens. Otherwise the app is excellent and quick.

Love jet blue. But can't believe I can't book a ticket through the app

Jet blue is amazing. I fly all the time and achieved mosaic status. I am surprised that the problem with the app is persisting. I cannot book a ticket through the app. The agents say they know there is an app glitch. Yesterday I tried for an hour to book on my iPhone iPad and even my surface.
But the time I got ahold of a supervisor he didn't know what was going on and the fair almost doubled. He didn't offer any resolution but finally after 35 minutes on the phone, put $25 in my travel bank (even though my fare went up $45). Usually the agents are much more away and much more concerned about customer service.
When the app works is very good. I have noticed the app has other bugs before. It seems that jet blue needs to do more beta testing on future releases.

Tedious process to book a flight.

Too many steps then if you pause it starts over.
Choosing seats is a chore!
Now have different flight options which brings up another window
Make improvements by putting this repetitive info on your profile and it fills in when you log on and attempt to book a flight!!!

What is going on . The app is horrendous. Only good for checking in. Booking a flight takes days. Why does it jump to so many screens and choosing seats is very confusing. You should be able to book a flight in a minute !

Come on you can do better!
They need to do better. New version more confusing and slow!!! Book a flight too many steps can't select no stops on main screen plus now have multiple prices options which should offer to select up front

Booking a flight is awful

I'd liked this app for other stuff but just tried to book a flight and it was impossible. Why it sucked:
- It seemed like it was only showing me one flight for each day at 630am. There's only one flight from dc to Chicago?
- the feature showing you it's cheaper a day before or after is great but toggling between them takes forever. And when I tried to toggle on the return flight, it kept taking me back to the first flight
- what the heck is blue plus? Why are you defaulting me to that? Does that mean you have to pay for your luggage now on jetblue? Then call the cheap option blue bag less or something. It's confusing that the base option is less than your base option from before.

Sometimes it works...most times it doesn't

So frustrating, I have been working on booking flights for my bachelorette and have still not finished due to constant time outs, "oops" redirects, and it just restarting out of no where. I want to point out I honestly would of just booked with another airline at this point if it wasn't for the fact I'm trying to use my American Express points to book my travel, I have more then enough points to cover the 3 flights I'm trying to book, it will let me get all the way to the end when selecting 1 flight, yet when I go back and change the quantity to 3 it just keeps restarting or conveniently timing out. I'm going to have to call I'm sure to book at this point, so frustrating

Quick and easy

I read some of the reviews from this app and many of the negative ones have something to say that I do agree. All apps can crash and have a bug here and there that the developers needs to fix, but to be honest I don't have this issue with this app at all. This app's mainly purpose is to check in people up to 24hrs prior to the departing time until 40mins to the departing time. I am sure the people who has been having problems are the ones who doesn't understand this rule. Some people here seems like they expect to be served coffee through this app.
I believe JetBlue is in the right path. For many those who complains about this airline still comes back to fly jetblue because they know they are the best when it comes to customer service. And if you still aren't satisfied with JetBlue, I'm sure Spirit will be happy to take you in, because jetblue doesn't need customers like you.

Mostly good with a Fatal Flaw

All apps perform a limited set of functions. It should make the consumers life easier and it should help increase the vendors revenue stream. If an app cannot perform those functions at least as good as a web page, then why bother with the app?
I have found using this app is similar to using the JetBlue web site, so it is off to an OK start, however there is one critical thing that is missing. You are not able to select an even more seat when checking in! Instead, you get an error message stating that this must be done at the airport. For me, this is a ridiculous PITA (as other travel apps allow me to do this...). For JetBlue its a potential loss of additional revenue. If you have a customer that wants to hand you even more money, you might want to sell them even more. Fail on both sides.

Makes my life easier

Always adds a great level of convenience for me when I'm traveling. I've inly had one issue one time when I had to change my reservation a few weeks before flying, and the app couldn't find my new reservation. Thought it was a paper ticket. but other than that it's been great. The only thing I'd like to see, is If I'm flying with my family, it would be nice for all of us to check in using the app if we have separate reservations but we are linked in the system. Maybe it does that already, but it has not worked for me yet. Overall love this app! I fly a lot and rely on it.

Passbook Bugs

The only reason I'm giving this app a lower rating is because it doesn't work well with Passbook, otherwise it's a great app. For the last 3 flights I've been able to check in my wife & I and I can add our tickets to Passbook but I've never been able to check in and add my 9 year old daughter's ticket to Passbook which is very frustrating. That means that I then have to login via a browser and print out tickets the old fashioned paper wasting way. I've tried multiple times to get my daughter's ticket into Passbook for the last 3 flights but it keeps giving me an "Oops please try again later" error which is NOT very useful. I reported the bug a week ago & JetBlue is now aware of the bug and said it only appears to happen with passengers that have children but they've been unable to fix it yet.

Frustratingly slow and buggy

The layout an GUI for this app is great, but it is very inconsistent in terms of performance and is buggy. For example, I just opened the app and it for some reason had logged me out. I tried to log back in several times and got an error message (not a password incorrect message, but a "try again in a few minutes" message). I finally got frustrated and backed out of the log in screen and it did auto fill and logged me in! So I got what I wanted but only after the app frustrated the hell out of me! When I tried to check in, the path from the home screen gave me errors. But if I opened the trip through the "my trips" section I was able to check in! Still it was really slow and timed out several times. This needs work.

Gets worst at every update!

I fly Jet Blue at least once a week for work. The app is pure pain. Takes forever to check-in, that's if if doesn't
say "we are sorry please try again"
Also you can't do much on the app like change flights, or check your flight history.
Even when booking, it does not remember the last destinations you used and picking travel dates is a pain, specially if you want to change date or have both legs of your flight on the same day. Why do I have to always get promoted and answer to "Are you sure you are returning on the same day?"
I fly to the Bay Area, and it used to have a"San Francisco Area" that would check both SFO and OAK for flights, but now that's gone, and you have to enter each city separately. Just all around cumbersome and weak app that waste a lot of time to navigate.

Very good

I would give it a 5 star but on flight status it reported several times that "no flight information was found "after providing my flight number and date, leading me to assume the flight was cancelled (there was a big storm hitting the east coast and thousands of other flights have been reported cancelled). As it turned out , it must of been caused by the heavy load to their servers at the time but then I would expect a timeout message not a not found error message. I had to call it in to verify and it turned out the flight was still on in spite of all the other cancellations. Aside was from that I think it's great and you never have to worry about having to print a confirmation number or boarding pass !!!

Improving

This app has gotten better, but I still have issues changing my seats. I get everything done, then when I check the select seats button I get a message that my request was not able to be processed and I would need to call Jet Blue. They are able to change my seat easily. Also I have not seen an option where we can use our points to pay for more-space seats. It asks for a credit card number no other options. This is inconvienant if you don't have the card with you. I have my card on file for a reason....why can't I use it?

It works!

Not sure what everyone is complaining about. It's a very intuitive app and does most everything one would expect. You do need to be a JetBlue points member to use some if the features such as check-in, but only takes a few minutes on their web site. After signing up, I linked an existing reservation and it showed up immediately in the app, ready for check-in and a scannable boarding pass. Gate change updated on the boarding pass in the app (but not in Passbook, where your BP can also reside) while I was sitting in the airport and listening to the gate change announcement.
The app works.

How they fly airplanes is a wonder; app is the worst in industry

I travel 12-14 days per month, flying on 6-9 airlines to do so. This apps is the worst in the industry. Here is why;
1) true blue membership does not relate to itinerary look up; really? I have to re-enter my membership number; AND I cannot paste the true blue number? Wow what a pain.
2) I goto check in and I want to upgrade seats? What? The app says I cannot do it at this time (which is all the time) on the app, have to call or goto gate? What a waste of time. Then I do call (and after 20 mins waiting on hold) i finally get the "more space seat", but the app has my old boarding pass and it will not update with my new seat, Really? Now I still have to check in at the airport? What a waste of time.
3) flight updates? Sure the app has a notification feature, but once you slide the feature to "ON" a timer cue shows up and the switch never turns on, so I have to check my phone every thirty mins to see if my flight is on time. (Of which JetBlue is famous for not delaying a flight and just canceling it, leaving me to scramble for a new flight at the last minute.
4) besides crashes and freezing on a regular basis it is almost not worth using. I do us it in the false hope it will work one day. Maybe not in my lifetime.
I have only listed the biggest problems, there are multiple other time wasters and useless things on this app that make it the worst of the worst.

Bugs, bugs and more bugs

So many problems with this app. 1. You are given no indication of the seats that cost more until you select the seat. I had to work my way through several seat selections, at one point I got a page filled with seat numbers but no way to select one, and I had to start again, from scratch on page 1, even though I was logged into my TrueBlue Acct. No information was retained. 2. Finally got everything input and hit submit only to find myself on a page telling me to return to homepage. 3. Did as told, back to homepage and no info stored, and the flight was not booked! 4. Tried again from scratch (at this point, I was just bring stubborn) and the stupid app crashed again. Arrghh! For an airline with fine service in every other way, this app is a disgrace!

Awful

The JetBlue app has major problems. The interface for choosing round trip dates is terrible. When choosing seats, the app only tells you -after- you've chosen them whether it will cost more. Many of the fields take several seconds to register your input, and then you are bounced to a different part of the page, losing your place. When I finally did get to the point of submitting my payment info and doing final confirmation, I was greeted with a page telling me to tap to go back to a URL... And no confirmation. I went through this entire procedure twice with the same failure at the end. During the 30 minutes I was fighting this app, the rates for my outgoing flight went up. I gave them a call, and JetBlue refused to honor the advertised rate. They also refused to check if the app was working, claiming that it must work if their techs haven't reported to them that it doesn't. Awful company. Awful app.

How can you be JetBlue and have such a bad app?

I love, love, love JetBlue and I just can't understand how such a good airline that seems so technologically adept can have such a bad app? I tried three times to book a trip and all three times I was unable to complete it. The last time I even entered all four of my travelers information AGAIN, for the third dang time and it crashed "errored out" on me AFTER the payment was entered. It even gave me a "feedback button" that I entered my info into from their third party horrible e-commerce vendor I'm guessing... That said they would get back to me, it's been 5 hours and I've still heard NOTHING! I promptly gave up on booking the trip, deleted the app, and returned to using a tried and true app to book my trip. Thank you KAYAK for being a dependable mobile app for booking a trip!

Needs Passbook!

I got the error as well after updating. All i had to do was delete the app and reinstall it and it worked.
Thanks for adding the mobile boarding passes! It's Awesome. The one thing that can make it better is if you can update you app to make the mobile boarding passes available in apple's passbook app. American Airlines, Delta, United, Virgin America, Air Canada, and Lufthansa already do this and it is an easier way to use the mobile boarding passes. I would love to see this in the near future. Once they do this then I will make my rating 5 stars.

Nice new features but do a full install instead of upgrading

Upgrading the app from v. 1.0 didn't work well. I couldn't log in with my TrueBlue account or pull up anything with my confirmation number.
I had to delete the application completely and then reinstall the new version to get it working. Once I did that, it works perfectly. I really like the location info complete with current weather, dining options, and cool places to visit. The terminal maps are a great addition as well. I'll give the mobile boarding pass a try when I fly out this afternoon!

Never up to date worst user exp

This app has virtually zero utility. It is never up to date. I checked the status of my flight all day and this app proceeded to tell me it was on time. I found out it was severely delayed bc my bf uses a way better app to check all airlines. As is the usual with jetblue, your plane is never on time because they schedule arrivals way too close to departures. The app had actually reflected that my plane had departed already - meanwhile i wad still stuck at the gate for another hour. And this app makes you log in again when you try to access true blue. Does that even make sense? Bottom line this app serves no purpose and is not convenient. The creative agency responsible for developing this should seriously think twice about putting out garbage like this.

Almost 5 stars!

I really love this new app from JetBlue and like many others, I've been waiting for it for a long time. It is very user friendly and has a lot to offer, but I was VERY disappointed tonight when I went to the app to print my boarding passes. You can not print your boarding passes from it!!! I was able to checkin with the app, but I still had to go to my computer to print boarding passes. They say this will come in the future, but I think they should have waited to have this very important feature before they offered the app. When you are able to print boarding passes with it, I will change my rating to 5 stars.
