Streaming quality

Let me start out by saying I love my Hallmark movies.
However, I am really disappointed in the streaming quality on Hallmark+. The movies often look like they are produced decades ago, with the visuals that resemble something from the 1990s rather than modern HD standards. The picture can often appear soft, grainy, and lacking in clarity, which takes away from the viewing experience. For a paid streaming service, I expected a much higher level of quality. I hope improvements are made so that content matches today’s viewing expectations.

Don’t buy. 5 different shows or series have crashed

It started with one series. Had to find another. It crashed. Found another. It crashed. And more. Do not buy hallmark plus channel. They crash on iPhone , iPad, chrome , safari. It’s on their end.

App crashes repeatedly

Big fan of Hallmark, but the app keeps crashing with an “Oops” message. I never had this issue when I subscribed through Prime. I might just go back to using that system. Please address this and I’ll stay.

Respectfully, I love Hallmark. However, the constant error messages in the middle of a movie has become a daily occurence. We are in a place and time where apps should rarely crash. I'll remove this rating if I can get resolution on why the app keeps crashing.

Clunky at best

I paid for this app for my mother who loves all of the Hallmark content but the app, if it even opens, is super slow and teetering on crashing at any time. Serious work needs to be done to update it and make it more reliable and usable.

FIX THE APP!

The Apple TV app is the worst! The amount of random shutting down, closing, and logging out issues are insane. I shouldn’t have to continue to log in to an app that I pay a service for so dang often. Get it right Hallmark.

Please stop logging me out

I love Hallmark+ but PLEASE, I’m begging, fix the app so I don’t have to log in every day. I literally watch something every day. Why do I have to sign in on the same device every single day? While you’re at it, please make it so that we can exit from a show easily. One last request: let us rate the movies and/or give us a way to know if we’ve seen a movie or not. A simple thumbs up or down button or stars… something.

Great content, awful app

Hallmark, PLEASE fix your app!! It’s constantly crashing, logging me out, refusing to play the video, not showing subtitles when selected, etc. Apple TV or iPad or iPhone, it doesn’t matter. Please please please make the app run smoother because I LOVE watching your shows but the app is driving me away! And for the record, I am young and tech savvy so it isn’t user error.

Love the content… HATE the app!

I love Hallmark and I love Hallmark + and how easy it is to watch movies, but the app is awful on Apple. I am constantly having to delete the app and reinstall the app just to get it to work. I have to do it multiple times a day. It is so frustrating now when I use it on Roku, it works much better.

iOS version not user friendly

I’d like to be able to find my favorite shows more easily. Finding the watchlist takes a moment. Then when the show is starting I can’t rewind easily. When I tried to rewind, it went forward making me miss more of the show. It’s easier to watch Hallmark shows on the Frndly TV app even with ads than on the Hallmark + app.

Feedback is a gift - please use it wisely

Quite an undeniable feedback theme in these reviews about the app’s shortcomings. Time to hire some fresh thinking developers, maybe those with experience at quality, user-friendly streaming platforms that actually work (unfortunately quite opposite to this app). Hallmark content deserves so much better.

Finally reach my limit

I’m giving the Hallmark plus app 2stars because, every time I buy a subscription it takes 2-3 days to activate. Last time I had to contact customer service.
Today I loaded the app to my Samsung and entered the code to start watching on my tv. But it is still showing I need to subscribe.
In my opinion the FAQ has too many steps and not helpful.

Not stable

I have not had this app and subscription long, but it was long enough to realize the app is unstable. My movie kept cutting off with an “Oops” pop up box. Over and over this has occurred across two different viewings. My internet connection is the same one I use to stream other programming on my devices. I watch many live sporting events from beginning to end and also have other streaming apps that function well. I have already performed many of the “fixes” they suggest in Help; so far it has made little difference in how the app behaves. The selection of Hallmark programming and movies is great; there is much to explore and watch if only I could keep the app running. Time will tell how long I keep this app….and the subscription.

Always crashing

The app is always crashing for me. I log in, watch a show, come back later and it does not work. I have to close the app and log in again. I frequently get a message when trying to open the app that it’s only available in the US. I live in the US.

Interruption

Love the shows app sucks

Halfway into a series “The Way Home” we can not get past season 2 episode 2. When we try to play episode 3 it just plays 2 again. Even tried deleting and reinstalling app. Very agitating.

Do better

Honestly if the phone app could suck anymore it would probably create its en singularity.
It’s great that you can stream hallmark. It’s disappointing how bad the apps are. The iPhone app constantly thinks you’re outside the US and the Apple TV app recently has to restart regularly.
Why aren’t you using Apple’s media player? It’s far superior to whatever 3rd party system you are using. There is zero unity with how other apps work. The icons are all different and how the app works is far less responsive to user interaction. It sucks, and we’re paying for it. The need to login repeatedly because I’m told I’m outside of the viewer area for the service when I am in the middle of the United States is almost a joke at this point. It’s time to fire the team that does this service for you and hire one that knows what that are doing.

Missing the “mark”

I’m 50 years old and probably right in your target demographic. But I didn’t get this app for me. I got it for my mother for a birthday. In my whole life, I don’t think I’ve ever bought a gift that has caused more frustration and aggravation. The app is so very difficult to use. Here are 7 specific reasons why. 1, login is different than the app for the store. Confusing. 2, app logs itself out an almost daily basis. Hard for an older person to figure out. 3, the carousel on the home page moves way too fast, and there’s no way to make it stop. 4, app tends to overemphasize images, with giant splash screens that hide the actual content below the proverbial fold, without a visual indicator that there is additional content out of sight. 5, teeny tiny controls during playback. Want to minimize what you’re watching because you realize you’ve already seen it? Good luck hitting that tiny arrows pointing inward control. Target size on that must be about 20 pixels square, even on this iPad Pro. 6, why does the app open multiple instances on the iPad?! Never seen another app do that, EVER. Very confusing and wasteful of system RAM. And 7, lately, the app repeatedly tells us that it can’t be used outside the country. What?! We haven’t been out of the country in 30 years, and no, we don’t live in a border state, either.
So thank you for failing one more time today, before the renewal happens. We are canceling our subscription. I am completely certain I can find a better gift than the headache this subscription has been for the past 50 weeks.

Frustrated

As much as I enjoy Hallmark and like the Hallmark + options. I find this app to be frustrating. I routinely have to delete it off of my. My screen and re-download it, sometimes I have to do this two times to actually be able to use the app. Often it will say sorry, this app is unavailable in your region. Which is not accurate.

Thankful for Hallmark+

It’s the only streaming platform I use now. They have tons of shows and movies in all genres, without the junk that’s in mainstream media. The actors are better than the most top shows and movies on other platforms imo. Wholesome tv with diversity. I hope Hallmark+ expands where the app can be viewed so we can watch it anywhere like other apps.

Too many problems

I really want to watch Hallmark. I’m on my 5th day of free trial… nothing works! I can’t even get through a full episode, I get kicked off! It won’t even load on my TV! I’m trying to watch on phone. So disappointed.

Frustrated

I wish they had an easier way to see all their catalog of movies instead of separating everything and advertising what they want you to see. After a three month deal, I went to cancel the subscription. The app wouldn’t let me (nor would the website on a computer). We had to chat with a hallmark rep, who canceled it immediately when we had three more days of the three months we paid for. Not impressed.

Needs better user controls

The app is in serious need of an update. When one movie ends, it automatically starts to play another movie, not of my choice. That movie, which I generally dislike the actor or actors or just the movie will then appear in my continue watching feed where it is painfully difficult to delete, even by using the web interface. Very frustrating.

This app needs help

This review is about the app itself. Hallmark plus app needs some serious work at least on the Apple TV. This app glitches way too much and I need to force close it, which signs me out for some reason. I have to sign in every day with password and email. Also, there’s a weird glitch that claims that my device is outside of the US which I am in the US. Hallmark seriously needs to give this app a bug fix update ASAP.

Horrible App

Love Hallmark movies and shows so I got the app through prime and it worked great but I recently got rid of prime so I tried the app. Its the worst app ever. After using it for a day it started freezing up so I couldn’t watch anything. The next day it signed me out. Tried to log in but it wouldn’t let me so tried forgot my password and it said it sent an email but never got it. Tried every log in I would use and nothing works. Thankfully it was a free trial so I didn’t waste any money. If the app ever gets better I’ll get a subscription. Till then cya hallmark.

Content good too many glitches

I usually only subscribe from October thru December, and always encounter glitches, some of which have been fixed.
This year, however there have been too many. The worst is that even though they have taken my payment for the subscription, I frequently open the app to find it telling me I must subscribe to watch. Usually backing out and coming back in resolves the issue. Today, however, it will not recognize my subscription even though the bank shows payment made
Another issue is that in some movies the movie cuts off mid sentence when there is still a few minutes in the movie and starts spooling for the next movie
The other and very important issue is closed captioning issues. I have to set them every movie, and for some it won't work at all. If I press pause and swipe up to add cc, the option just disappears. In the past, cc had remained on once I choose. Now, even if I am watching movies back to back, I have to reset each time
So basically I am paying for an app that frequently denies access, cuts movies off before they are complete, and does not allow cc for some movies. (the same movies did have cc in the past). I like the content both Christmas movies and the access to some Hallmark Hall of fame movies that I like to rewatch. But cannot see paying again for something that glitches so much
ADDING: I decided to subscribe again and am out of the app constantly. Not only does it kick me out during movies. NOW THREE TIMES in as many days it has locked me out for hours with a message that the app is not available in my region. It says the app I am watching is not available outside the United States. I AM IN CALIFORNIA. WHY TAKE MONEY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION AND THEN SAY IT IS NOT AVAILABLE IN MY REGION! When this happens it stays out for hours. I is not my system only. I was staying with my sister we rented it for a month and experienced the same issues. One movie we were kicked out of nine times. I love Hallmark movies but cannot spend anymore money on apps that do not work.

Needs work!

We just recently joined Hallmark+ and are enjoying it, but the app needs a lot of work. If you are watching a series, there is no way to tell where you left off! Once you find the show (even though you have been watching it, you still have to search for it), it was have a big white bar with an arrow, episode number and season, but it is NOT where you left off, for some odd reason. When you look at the list of episodes, there is no indication of what has been watched. And don’t forget to turn on Chromecast BEFORE you click the show.

Worst streaming app on AppleTV

Even when it is working it is by far the slowest and least responsive streaming app we have (and we have them all). It often freezes on startup when every other app works fine, and requires a restart of the AppleTV to work. More recently, it is often refusing to start with a message that the app only works in North America (the device is installed in Texas and has never moved. I then have to delete the app, download it from the App Store and put in the user and password to get it to work again. Absolute rubbish.

Constant logouts make this app unusable most of the time.

The Hallmark+ app constantly kicks me out. I keep getting error messages saying content is “not available in your country” even though I haven’t left the area or traveled to another country.
I like to download movies for travel, but it’s always a problem. When I’m on a plane, the app logs me out, and since you can’t sign back in mid-flight, I can never watch my downloaded movies. I’m flying within the U.S., from one state to another — not internationally — yet this happens every time.
I don’t understand why the app is so unreliable, but it completely defeats the purpose of downloading movies for travel.
Contacted customer service to no avail.

Unbelievable…free apps work better

I am so utterly mind blown right now!!! I have been using the Hallmark+ app for over a year now and the glitches were minimal in the beginning. I could reset Google Home and restart the app, I am streaming the app to my chromecast. Which yes I know is pretty old school BUT…I have ZERO issues with any of the other 7 or 8 apps I use. Including two free ones, Tubi and Pluto. It is truly sad and a complete rip off that Hallmark charges for this useless app. The only thing I like is the content but since I cannot enjoy that, it’s pointless. You need to fire every single person that has bully or developed this app because it does not work. Hallmark should also be ashamed at how long these same freezing, logging out, video slipping issues have been going on!! It’s probably much longer but I’m seeing the same complaints up to 3 YEARS AGO!?!?!? WHAT THE ACTUAL F:)$????? I’m so angry I’ve been paying for this over the last few months but I just tried to hold out for the next update. It’s just not coming together, scrap it and start over PLEASE!!!

The App is Sub-par

I love watching hallmark movies. Until I got the hallmark + I watched reruns and on demand movies on my cable’s app. With hallmark + I was really excited that so much more movies would be available. But this app is terrible!
1. Signs me off even if I am in the middle of already watching a movie.
2. The UI keeps changing daily!
3. The app is not responsive. It takes too many seconds to refresh after an action - closing a movie, switching pages, etc
4. The icons on the screens are so small it is difficult to select them - going back to Home Screen, rewinding, etc.

Problem with Apple TV

Leaves much to be desired

Got this app during a Black Friday sale in 2025 - while it’s a fantastic thought for watching commercial-less Hallmark movies/shows, it still needs much improvement. I have to sign back in once a week on the phone app. When I’m watching it on my phone, the rewind and fest forward arrows are awful and need recalibrated majorly. I get so annoyed when I can’t rewind or fast forward that I just shut the app and move onto something else. I work from home and typically have this app on while I’m working, so it’s very frustrating day in and day out. Also, more times than not, when I search in the search field for a movie or show on this app, nothing comes up even if I type it Word for Word. Very frustrating. I mean it’s 2025, why doesn’t the search field work most of the time lol? Paying money for an app that is this subpar drives me crazy. Also something you guys could add, when I opened up the app and want to start over a movie that I am halfway into already, there’s no restart button and, I cannot grab the cursor and rewind it all the way back to the beginning, it just close the app! It’s amazing. Please fix these issues 🙏🏼

App is getting incredibly worse instead of better!

I love the easy light hearted mystery shows and movies on HM. I like watching the stress free shows to unwind before bed. However the iPhone app is bad, I mean bad, and only getting worse. It was never the best app but it functioned. Now I can’t seem to watch any shows without is crashing almost every time. We also aren’t really able to easily go back to the menu after starting the show. Additionally, trying to reverse or fast forward is incredibly challenging the arrow buttons rarely work and only advance or rewind a few seconds at a time. Dragging the progress bar is also often impossible. It would be great and incredibly helpful if a “start from beginning” button were added. With all of these frustrating glitches, crashes and loss of functionality this app has turned my relaxing wind down routine into an extremely frustrating experience. I really hope they improve this app because I really do enjoy the streaming content.

Worst Streaming App Experience

Where to start. This app rarely recognizes my account when I log in and constantly claims I don’t have an active subscription regardless of which device I use. When I finally do get access, the app is painfully slow and simply finding something to watch takes forever. Once a show or movie finally starts, don’t even try to rewind. It often glitches and throws you back to the beginning. If I am lucky enough to finish watching something and exit the app, the next time I try to open it, it frequently claims I am outside the U.S. and blocks access. The only fix is deleting and reinstalling the app and starting all over again. The resume feature is useless. If you stop a movie for any reason, it does not return you to where you left off and instead restarts from the beginning. Fast forwarding is painfully slow and clunky and can take 10 to 15 minutes just to get back to your spot. I have been a subscriber for over a year and Hallmark has made no meaningful effort to fix problems that are clearly widespread based on user reviews. This app is frustrating, unreliable, and not worth the subscription fee.

Worse App than Paramount+

I NEVER write App Store reviews but everyone wanting to download this app should know that it is worse than Paramount+ and not a single person at that company exists to help you fix it. I’d be surprised if they even have an IT department to speak of. The app is constantly giving me “outside the us” errors despite literally living in the same state as the company. I have reached out via DM and email numerous times to their customer service with zero reply. When the app decides you’re worthy of working for, the continue watching list is all messed up. They force shows and movies onto that list that you have never even shown a desire to watch. I HIGHLY recommend going with a better app and a better service because Hallmark+ will just leave you angry, sad, and disappointed at how often their app doesn’t actually function. Do not waste your money paying them for a subscription.

Love the content, but…

I’ve started using this app a lot, especially since the 2025 Christmas movies are arriving. However, I can’t keep silent anymore. While I absolutely love the content and having wonderful Hallmark movies and programs at my fingertips, I’ve become more and more frustrated with the app with each use. 1. Please make it easier to exit whatever is being watched. The two arrows in the lower right-hand corner don’t work well at all. It takes MANY attempts to touch them in a way that finally gets whatever I’m watching to close. Also, it’s way too close to the line that keeps track of the progress of what’s being watched. Yesterday, while I was attempting to close a Christmas movie I was watching, which only had a few minutes left, I accidentally touched that line and the next thing I knew, I was watching the closing credits! Boo! And because I can’t fast forward through the movie, I have to watch the whole thing over again so I can finally see the ending to find out what happened. 2) Please make it so one can fast-forward the content. 3) Lately when I open the app, it tells me I cannot access it because it isn’t available outside of the U.S. (I live in Massachusetts!). This has happened on my iPhone and iPad. Why? Please make this app function better. Thank you!

Worst streaming app there is…please fix it!!

I am not sure who the developers of this app are but they need to all be replaced. I have practically every streaming service there is and this app is by far the worst. The issues are almost too innumerable to list as nothing works well or smoothly. By far the biggest issue is how often it freezes, logs you out of your account, or just closes completely. Seriously, it’s multiple times per movie and often you have to login twice to get it to take. Other apps allow you to stay logged in for months at a time. On top of that, it’s so slow to do, well, anything. If you need to rewind or fast forward, forget it. The app will often start the movie completely over and it’s virtually impossible to get back to where you were. The way the movies are categorized makes no sense and it’s nearly impossible to remove a movie from the “continue watching” section without a hassle. You have to watch all the credits and about 5 seconds of the next movie, then it will finally disappear. The app also doesn’t seem to have an continuity between iPad, phone, or tv as it doesn’t resume in the correct place if you are watching a movie across different devices. Hallmark, you heavily advertised this “new and improved” app and I only subscribed as part of a promo. As much as I love the commercial free option, I will not be renewing my subscription. Its 2025. Do better.

Needs work

I love all the family friendly movies on this app but it’s a challenge playing things. For 1- when i pause a movie it doesn’t show what movie it is like other apps do.
2- they have a lot of series movies sometimes more than 10 but it’s really hard to figure out the order. I always have to google them and save a list on my phone. If I finish a movie that is part of a series, it never plays the next one, it plays some random movie in that series. And guess what? It doesn’t even show what it’s playing. There’s no way to know unless I stop the movie and go to my watch history. It’s disappointing because this is a paid app and there are free apps that work so much better. PLEASSSSEEE improve it
found more issues. when clicking on a movie from my history it immediately plays when all I want to do is add it to my list to watch later. once it starts playing it’s impossible to leave. the 2 tiny arrows in the bottom right corner require 10+ taps to work or it skips to the end of the movie (on my ipad). i love the movies but the app is a total pain. i also don’t see why the movies don’t have a rating option or even a heart. some movies I like and wish to rewatch would be great if I can see my rating for them.

Simply Spins

I purchased my yearly subscription and within the first month I was unable to watch a movie. I could see the Home Screen, scroll to a movie or show, but when I wanted to watch, it would spin. The customer service person stated I needed to unplug the Apple TV & start again. I did but didn’t agree with this since my other apps work just fine. Within 3 weeks I have the same spinning issue. I contact support chat and they say no known issues and to restart the app. I asked them to file a ticket as I want this tracked. If they are just giving “fixes” they aren’t tracking the issues. I gave them all my info. I deleted the app & uploaded it again. In reading the reviews I don’t think I’m alone. I urge you to file a ticket with Hallmark so perhaps they can update the app. I use Peacock, Max, BODi, and Disney on my Apple TV and I’ve never had issues like this. Please do better Hallmark!

Incomplete seasons

I have tried to resolve the issues I was having for “When Calls The Heart.” The seasons are incomplete and you miss huge chunks of what is happening. Like Elizabeth’s sister running away, and they never say what happens. Episode 1 seasons 4 opening shows things never seen in last episode “9” of season three. It’s like trying to read your new favorite book after someone tears out chapters. The support I received said there are TV movies that happened with some of the missing stuff in those. I was not given a list, totaled, how many movies a season I should search for. Was told Google might could help. After having to google, Reddit, search, call and email….kinda giving up on ever knowing what happens. Also, doubtful I want to continue paying for “part” of series, with no direction on any “supporting tv movies” listed anywhere. Surely I am no alone?!

Technical difficulties constantly

Our app CONSTANTLY stops and pops up we’re experiencing technical difficulties please contact. You click ok then re-select movie and within minutes it happens again. Through entire movies so bad we’ve had to stop watching the app at times. Sometimes the whole app after several times of this will freeze, force close and reset back off the app. I have emailed hallmark and they try to say it’s my device. I have the same issue despite watching on phone, tv, tablet whatever. It still happens. No other app or streaming service that my family uses has this happen on. It’s extremely frustrating and hallmark needs to address the issue. Look into up faith and family or GAF instead until they fix this issue. I like most of the content on the app, some things are pushed passed family friendly and we turn those off.

Hallmark+ Update = Fail

I didn’t think it was possible to dislike this app more but they did it with the “new” and “updated” version for Hallmark+. Not one of the problems from the old version are fixed (frequent logins, errors, reboots on both Apple TV and Roku). Now they removed the alphabetical list of all movies, making it officially horrible. As bad as it was, and it was very cumbersome to use, the alphabetical list at least gave the viewer a place where you could see every movie available, not sorted by some arbitrary criteria that the developers think are useful. I cannot believe this app has been released. If I leave the app mid-movie it’s almost guaranteed I’ll have to sign in again when I return. And don’t even try to use the Apple TV “Continue Watching” list to return to where you left off — it will hang up and you’ll have to unload the app, reload, and log in again—only once if you’re lucky. This has to be the worst app on Apple TV.

Pricey! With Super Glitchy/Buggy App & Website Features😡

Huge Corporation. Makes zillion$, yet cares so little for the overall performance of their Apps, and even their main Website’s Features. Loading, Streaming, Functions, Features, Ecards, etc., etc. For the money Hallmark charges, it’s doubtful that our Family will renew its membership. The hassle just isn’t worth it anymore. If there’s any issues, Hallmark never resolves/upgrades anything; and assumes that the Customer must be using weird Equipment, is clueless/ignorant, or is a novice of some kind🙄. Which we aren’t. Beyond condescending. And the problem(s) can’t possibly be Hallmark’s Software/Firmware. Crud, even the Ecards created on their main Website won’t properly save Card Projects; and so many of the functions don’t work correctly. It’s way too cumbersome & glitchy. And always loses every ‘saved’ Ecard, when it’s supposed to save/keep them for 90 days! So what exactly are Customers paying for?! Nothing more than Hallmark’s failures. With today’s technology there is zero excuse for a Corporation the size of Hallmark, to have such unreliable App(s) & Website Features…

Good movies, TERRIBLE app

I watch quite a few Hallmark movies. I find them comforting and often have one on in the background while I’m working. I am using this newest version, Hallmark+ and it’s awful. I have to log in EVERY time I open it but it’s worse than that. Pause a movie for a few minutes - you need to log in. Switch from one movie to another - you need to log in. Not to mention the times when you just get a message that they are experiencing difficulties during a movie and when you dismiss the message - you have to log in yet again. Today alone I had to log in no less than six times while trying to finish one movie.
Also, don’t bother downloading a movie to watch on a plane because you guessed it - you will be forced to log in and since you aren’t connected to the internet, it won’t let you.
Please, please fix this problem.

Navigation needs work

I love the content & really like the app with one exception. Navigating from a show back to the Home Screen or the timeline within a show is extremely difficult on a tablet because of the placement & size of these controls. The minimize icon is small & buried in the corner. The ability to fast forward on a slide scale is basically non existent on a tablet if you have any kind of case, again because of placement. So, love the app, like the content, please think about making navigation easier to use.
One item to add, there doesn’t seem to be a way to remove expired items from Downloads. How can I remove the items that are still listed here but are expired?

sadly, not worth it...

Proprietary rights still given to big name cable companies, leaving very little selection to watch on the Hallmark+ app. New content limited to "reality/unscripted" kinds of series. I gave away my TV and stopped all cable 15-ish years ago because all TV shows were being converted to reality shows. Not interested. Sadly, this year's Countdown to Christmas line up is again all proprietary, meaning zero streaming of tge new movies this year on the newly branded app. Hallmark+ is just Hallmark Movies Now with reality shows added. Only two month's worth of very limited movie watching selection abailable. My recommendation is to only sign up for 1-2 months and stay away from the annual subscription. It genuinely is not worth the money. Sadly, I am out of pocket the annual fee. Will not do again. Best wishes to you and yours. -- Addiotionally, The app does not yet work on iOS18 w/ a VPN turned on.

Hallmark+ = New Content, Same App

The “new” Hallmark+ launch has some new content, but it’s the same frustratingly buggy app. 1) Search for a specific title or name (correctly spelled)….no results. Search for one word in the title or name…get ALL titles with that word, which means scrolling through page after page of titles. 2) The forward and rewind function is hit or miss. One time you hit rewind and it goes back 10 seconds. more often than not, it jumps all the way to the beginning. Then it’s fast-forwarding to find your original place. 3) HMN help document states that it is fully compatible with Airplay on latest Apple TV model. However, screen mirroring/Airplay only produces sound, no picture. Other streaming platforms work just fine, no problem. I want to watch HMN programs on my TV and the only way for me to do that is by using the HMN app on my Apple TV or Airplay/screen mirroring from my iPad or phone. NEITHER works correctly!

Please fix her up and the TV side for fire stick as well…

I am a lover of all of the Hallmark movies and was very excited to come across this app.. here’s the thing, though on the phone or on the TV, it will take movies off your watchlist, doesn’t give you the option to continue watching what you were watching, if you go into read a description of a movie, then go back out it starts you at the very top of your list, it crashes way too often and freezes up. I like a lot of the other reviews was expecting to have more options of movies especially older movies to partake in. I thought the movies on the “Hallmark Channel” or “Hallmark Movies and Mysteries” would be available on this app. but sadly that’s not the case. Consequently I cannot watch any of the movies that are on the other two Hallmark channels because I do not have a TV subscription because I only stream. I feel with the amount of money that everyone spends on the app there shouldn’t be as many bugs as there is. I can’t honestly say if I would recommend this app or not if the current way it is taken care of. please fix these problems. Please add more movie content, especially from some of the earlier years. Thank you.

App controls too small

Love that I can get access to Hallmark content without cable, but the app is frustrating. The control buttons are two small. I either end up finger-smashing my screen to try to get it to respond, or end up hitting the wrong control and messing up my video. In particular, the control to get out of a running video is the worst. The “exit full screen” one. It’s right next to the progress bar, so often instead of backing out to the main screen, I accidentally jump to the very end of the movie, and then can’t get it to stop because the pause button is too small. They time out, and the app closes them automatically. I’ve accidentally ended multiple movies this way, and am frustrated that I have to start them over again. Would love to see an update with larger controls. Also would love a picture-in-picture option.

New and Not So Happy

I would so love to give this app a 5 star rating…. But since I signed up for the first free week. I wasn’t able to access anything until after the first week and even then I wasn’t allowed to view anything until a couple days later. Wasn’t to happy about that so I finally am able to access everything and now it just keeps freezing. So I can’t rewind or it’ll freeze if I pause for more than 2 minutes it freezes. I’m kind of over it and I’m not really one to complain but I really love my Hallmark movies that’s why I pay for them. But to not be able to watch them is a huge problem for me. I have also tried on my desktop and it does the same thing even if you refresh close out and try again nothing. I just thought for as long as this has been out it should be up with the times. This app along with your site needs a MAJOR UPDATE. No worries though I still love my Hallmark Movies.

Horrible TV & Phone App

Hallmark Movies Now - I just downloaded this app and signed up for the free trial before a subscription. One of the worst things about this app on my TV is when I’m in garage sale mystery I have to go back and read what it’s about then it takes you completely out. You have to scroll all the way down to garage sale mysteries again. It consumes so much battery on my device to go back to where I was along with being a pain. It is very clunky and not easy to use. Also it doesn’t have the ability to click into a program and it tell you what it’s about before it starts playing. Without that I don’t know if I am interested. Also, it states there’s hundreds of hours of movies, however, there are so many missing from what I used to watch on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. You’ll get four episodes of a program when there’s a lot more than that. Another thing I wish there was a way to always have close captioning on instead of having to go in and remember how to do it for each program. It’s also very difficult rewinding and fast forwarding. So far, I’m extremely disappointed and not sure if I’ll purchase the subscription unless this app gets better on my iPhone and television. I know I’m criticizing this app a lot, but I pay for six different subscriptions, and this one is the worst. Please work on the algorithms to improve the iPhone and television app. Thank you.

Problems continue and continue and continue

Once again logged off after an hour of watching…why won’t you fix this???! ——————————————————————————————- When will new mysteries be added? ———————————————————————————————Once again the Roku app closed and it was because we had watched for an hour then we were logged out…Why? Was logged into the app on iPad, an hour later it logged out AND logged out the movie being watched on Roku. There seem to be a few bugs though. The iPad app will not let me save to watch list and it takes a long time to load. The Roku app takes forever to open and every movie, so far, freezes an hour or more in and the app has to be exited and reopened in order to finish watching it. There is too much buffering, which was not a problem before. Just a side note...why so few mysteries? There seem to be so few available yet so many on the cable channel.———————————-

Cuts off end of episode

I love this app not only because it has no commercials, but also because of the wonderful way it flows through from one episode of When Calls the Heart to the next. That, however, is a double edged sword since in doing that, it frequently jumps to the next episode before this episode is over. It often happens right at the good part of the end of the episode. If the next episode preview doesn’t recap that cut off part, you have no clue what you missed in the story unless you can figure out from the ongoing story what must have happened. It is especially disappointing on season finale episodes where cliffhangers happen (I.e. where they inform Elizabeth that Jack was killed). 🤨😡 Come on Hallmark!!! I’d much rather see a few credits than miss the end of the episode! How hard can it be to fix this???!!!!

Went from Disappointed to Satisfied

New review: I’m editing my original review because I now understand how streaming only works. I subscribe to this app every summer when there is little to watch. I will say that Hallmark has since added new movies and have even released the new series TV shows weekly. So I went from disappointed to satisfied.
I’m extremely disappointed with this service. There are no current titles and they do not list any of the movies that is currently being aired. Unfortunately, by the time I figured it out, my free week was over and now I’m committed to a year. I have found some great series I want to watch, but the cost of the service does not make up for all of the movies I can’t watch. If Hallmark was at all concerned about customer service, they’d listen and revamp their app. Other apps list all of their current and old series. This is what I expected from the Hallmark Movies Now app. I have the Hallmark Movie Checklist and the movies are not available.

The app runs slow. I know your probably thinking it’s my internet but I have the best that I can get from AT&T and it’s the only one that buffers all the time and will totally freeze so that you have to get out and come back in…. Find the movie you were watching again and then fast forward to where you left off. Definitely not my favorite
I’d like to say that the amount of shows and how current the shows are doesn’t reflect in my star rating but it probably does. I specifically got the app because I knew that I would be traveling a lot over the holidays and wanted to see all the new holiday movies and NOT ONE was on there. Most streaming lines know that people are dropping cable and if we are specifically paying extra for an app then we want the most current stuff. Ok, so don’t give it to us the day it comes out; wait a day or two…. But we should still get the current movies. With that said, I’ve dropped my renewal.

Needs improvement

This app is good, but whenever the shows don’t update whenever they say they are going to show the next episode it gets frustrating. I have been watching the way home and it’s supposed to give new episodes every Thursday, but this has yet to happen… I keep checking for updates on the app and check to see if the new episode has uploaded yet but still nothing. It has been about two weeks and I still haven’t seen the 4th episode on the app.. I might as well just wait on the episodes to come onto the dish network hallmark channel since this can’t seem to actually give me the new episodes like it says. If this could get fixed and they put newer content on the app it would definitely be way more appealing to keep. I personally love hallmark channel and everything, but sometimes this app makes it frustrating and sometimes makes me wanna cancel my subscription due to this inconvenience… please fix this so I can keep watching the latest hallmark shows and movies.

Love Hallmark hate the App

Love Hallmark but the app is awful to use. I have it on my phone and TVs. It constantly logs me out. My phone won’t recognize the log in page so I can not store the log in info to make it easier with the fact the app will not stay logged in! I can use it one day and the next I am logged off. Sometimes even in the same day. Having to go through the log in almost every time I use it on the TV is ridiculous and so time consuming! Every other app I use stays logged in but this one. If it was just one device then it would be the device but it’s the phone and 2 TVs!! They also don’t update the movies that much. Same movies all the time with minimal changes. It will say new movies but they are not new and 2 months prior it gave me the same movies as newly added! More selection would be nice. When paying for a streaming service they should be offering new movies and a better selection. Hallmark has thousands of movies so why is the app so limited!

It’s buggy but good.

I am really enjoying the app. I don’t mind the old content and was expecting that. I think they have lots of good movies on here! My only complaint is that the app can be buggy. A few times now it has suddenly closed out of the app, and when I reopen it and click on the movie I’m watching, it says “playback over cellular disabled” and then won’t let me watch anything and says it’s something I have to fix in my settings. Everything is turned on correctly in my settings though, and after an hour or so it will let me hit play again. Very frustrating when it happens, but otherwise I enjoy the app. I hope they get the bugs worked out soon.

App has very few key features

1. If you’re paying for an app, I kind of expected that I’d get new and old content. But that’s not such a big deal. The content that is there will keep me entertained for a while.
2. No Picture in Picture is annoying as I normally need to check email as I’m watching.
3. Speaking for checking email, when I navigate away from the app, even for a short while, when I navigate back I have to scroll for days to find what I was watching. And sometimes it doesn’t “resume” and I have to fast forward to the approximate spot where I think I left off.
4. And speaking of fast forward- it’s weird and clunky. Hard to utilize with ease.
5. Did I mention no Picture in Picture option? I know I did but I wanted to add it twice because that’s super annoying for me.

Paid for subscription, and have yet to be able watch

We bought this app for my grandmother’s (she LOVES Hallmark!) TV, when we couldn’t get it to work, we got a Roku and was finally able to get it it up and running (after months of going back and forth on email, it takes WEEKS to get a response). She was able to watch 2 movies and now it doesn’t want to load, and then logged her out. So we loaded it onto our new AppleTV in our living room so we could let her watch it. It’s a hit or miss if it works, and it logs her out a lot. Half the time it errors out when she clicks on a movie.
Our grandmother is 92 years old and just wants to be able to watch her movies. We bought this for her as a present last year (Octoberish of 2021), and this has turned out to be a miserable headache for us, much less a huge disappointment for her. We prepaid for a 1 year subscription and we have really been able to enjoy it. I wish we could get a refund because this is ridiculous to go 2+weeks in between their email “canned” response. Like do you guys even READ the emails?? The information you ask for is in there, to take 2+ weeks to ask us information on what what was already in the email was painfully frustrating!!!
Save your money…this app isn’t worth the headache.

App needs work

I downloaded the app a few days ago because I wanted to watch when calls the heart. However I’ve already noticed several things about the app that need work. I have to log in to the app every day, and sometimes multiple times a day. Just now it kicked me out in the middle of watching a show and asked me to log in. This is very frustrating! I have a lot of steaming service subscriptions and none of them make log in more than once, unless I try to get into my account details. The way the app is organized is also clunky and makes it hard to find things. Half the time it doesn’t bring up what I was in the middle of watching and I have to go searching for it. Also makes no sense why you would list single, specific episodes of a show as an item on the front page, just list the series as a whole. If you don’t read the fine print in the picture you won’t realize you are starting a specific episode and not going to a page about the series itself. I found that out the hard way. I think whoever developed this app needs to go and look at other streaming platforms and how they have done it. They don’t have to copy anyone, but it might help with ideas for improving the service. I’m not sure yet whether I will keep this app/service.

Very buggy

I would give this app a better review if Hallmark would fix the major bugs. There are two that are very annoying which is caused us from no longer using this app. This bugs refer to the Apple TV version I have no experience with other versions. On the Apple TV it constantly logs off. Multiple time a day I need to login again. The second is more of a nuisance. When watching a series if you try to go to the next episode before the timer runs out you get an error.
The real annoying item is that Hallmark is aware of the problem and still after several weeks they have not fixed the issues. They only thing they have done is send an email saying that there are issues. This is surprising since all my prior experiences with addressing issues with there service have been very responsive. I had expected a resolution in a few days not a few weeks.
So my low rating is for the development team in being so slow to fix the application issues.

Disappointed

I was looking forward to watching more current movies and shows but was okay with what was offered until the app was upgraded and supposedly improved. Now nothing seems to be working right. The changes made were so different from the previous way the app worked that it needs a user’s guide to navigate. It also doesn’t respond very well while trying to use the functions. I find myself frustrated with how clunky it’s become. The other night while watching one of the shows it froze five times in the final ten minutes of the show and said there was a technical issue that I should check in the app settings. Well, I couldn’t find the app settings anywhere in the app or in my settings. This is definitely one of the worst apps I have. It’s really a shame since I love Hallmark’s programming but this is almost making me think of unsubscribing.

Continuing Disappointment

Every week I am watching a movie from one of your four channels (Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies Now) that is not listed in your app. It forces me to not only track movies I’ve watched in the app, but also on my cable network. There is nothing more frustrating than getting into a movie that I’ve recorded to find that I’ve already seen it. And Hallmark Movies Now doesn’t keep good records of movies I’ve watched across the different apps. To truly be a value, ALL of your movies should be here for ALL of your channels!
From my point of view, each channel should provide a list of what will be playing in the coming month and it should be added. Frankly, I’d be willing to do this for y’all from home. And I bet I’m not the only one. Or add a feature where users can add a movie to their database and as many details as they can. There are ways to make this inclusive of all of your movies because as we both know...there are a gazillion of them!

Just downloaded today

I downloaded this app on my Apple TV today and started the free trial. It crashed 5/6 times before I managed to select a movie and watch it. Not great, but at least I saw a movie. I then selected a second one to find out I’d been logged out by the app. I tried logging in again. It wouldn’t accept the password I’d created 2 hours earlier. I tried to log in via my iPhone. Still no joy. So I reset the password. Tried again to log in with the new password. Again no joy. Tried contacting customer service to find out they closed 5 minutes before and won’t be open until tomorrow morning. I created a brand new profile uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Tried to log in with the new profile. Same result. Obviously the server is down. How can customers be expected to wait a full day for service?!?!? This is truly horrible in this day and age. I’ve sent an email as instructed. I got an automated response. I replied with more detail and nothing. If I have to wait a full day, I’m cancelling the trial. Not worth the hassle if it is going to crash regularly and keep logging me out!!!

It does the job of showing movies so it gets two stars. But it does the job very poorly.

So first the app: the app when all is said and done it’s basically awful. It randomly will drop things off your watchlist—I think it does it if you watch it—but what if you want to save the movie for later viewing because you loved it so much? It doesn’t usually keep track of what movie you were watching in any kind of easy to find format nor does it remember where you were half the time. (Especially true if the app crashed or your battery died) It has series movies and will actually tell you if it is movie nine of 12 but it does not have an easy way to show you what are movies one through nine. Recommended related movies make no sense and appear to be whatever they are pushing.
Now about the service (which is not influencing the stars rating): I was under the impression you would get access to basically every single Hallmark movie there is out there. That is not true. You get access to a small selection, maybe 100, and some TV shows. I don’t know if there’s anything current or not because I don’t know what is current but it’s not like I have months and months viewing material here. Also, many of the movies are off-season, so they are offering autumn movies in May.
As I said, it will allow you to view the movie and for that he gets two stars, but it overall is a very poorly designed app and one I am highly disappointed in as well as the service.

Very disappointing

We don’t pay for cable and instead opt to pay for streaming services. We have quite a few of them and since I loved watching Hallmark movies and tv shows when we did have cable we decided to get the Hallmark movies now app....I have never been more disappointed in a streaming app than I am in this one. None of the things that I loved watching on the Hallmark channel are available through this app that you HAVE TO PAY FOR. You would think that the thousands (or millions who knows) of people who opt to use streaming services as opposed to paying for cable would be offered the same content but that couldn’t be further from the truth. There’s no When Calls the Heart tv series or movies, Aurora Teagarden, Murder She Baked, Good Witch tv series...the list really is endless of what isn’t available!
Regardless of how much I love the feel good Hallmark movies shouldn’t I have access to everything Hallmark offers since I made the decision to specifically pay to get Hallmark content instead of just getting it with a cable subscription. Doesn’t seem like a very good way to take care of Hallmark customers to me.....Such a shame and a huge disappointment!!

Love the Hallmark Channel

I do! I love it! When I had cable, I would watch the Hallmark channel every weekend. The movies are such a feel good, but...
The subscription to this app is very disappointing. I don’t watch the series shows, just the movies and the app is very limited. I assumed, and shame on me that I would be able to watch the same movies that are showing on cable now. Not the case. The movies are old and we are limited on how many new movies come out each month. When I say new, I mean movies that weren’t already showing not current.
I’d like to see more movies, more current movies, less series shows. Every weekend there are movies running all day, new current movies. I can fill my weekend watching Hallmark movies. I can barely fill my night with what is on this app.
My subscription is about to run out. I’m giving it the year, if it doesn’t pick up, I’m out.
It’s been a year, I am about to cut it off. I got on the app this evening and it has logged me out! I haven’t signed in since I first got the subscription. I have tried to get a new password and nothing. Of course customer service is closed. So, now I can’t watch anything.
Seriously the worst app ever! Same OLD movies over and over, absolutely NOTHING NEW!
If you had planned on subscribing DONT! You WILL be VERY disappointed. It really is a shame, I love the movies and don’t have cable, I was hoping I could enjoy those great feel good movies that are on cable, but NO!

Decent for the price but still a disappointment

I love finally having access to some of Hallmarks content but was disappointed because I paid for a few months of the service hoping I would get to watch all the Christmas movies. Even if they didn’t want to give us access to all their Christmas movies it was still such a small amount of holiday releases that I watched it all by the first week of December and then only released a few more after that. Also, there should be a feature that shows what you have recently watched because if you start a show or movie and don’t remember the name of it, you won’t be able to find it again without scrolling through all the content again. I would have just appreciated more info about what would be released on the app before I paid ie we love giving you access to our older movies and shows and while we won’t release 2019 movies on here there is enough to keep you happy through the New Year. At least then I would have kept waiting and expecting new content to come out

Not enough content

I cut the cord a year ago on cable because the amount of television I watched versus how much the bill was costing just wasn’t worth it. The only channel I miss is Hallmark, and more specifically the Countdown to Christmas on the channel. I found out about this app and I was elated!! I quickly downloaded the app and said “here, take my money!” After 7 days of watching the app and feasting on all things mistletoe, I’ve gone through all the content. Now, I don’t binge! I don’t have that kind of time. What I’m trying to say here is, the same 12 movies are all that are available! No new content has changed and with the shear amount of content that is available on the channel, I’m perplexed. How is it that cable customers pay the monthly rate for 100’s of channels and I pay $5 for one and I get very little??? That does not compute. I’m ending my subscription at the end of the month, which is so sad because I would most happily watch Christmas movies all. Year. Long!

Hallmark won’t help you if you have issues...

I am writing this as a review of two Hallmark apps. I am putting this her as they removed the other app. I had both this app and the eCards app. A few years ago I had issues signing in on this app. I contacted Hallmark and got told it was an Apple issue. I contacted Apple and they explained why it wasn’t their problem but really Hallmarks. Contacted Hallmark again and no help and a refusal to return my money. I canceled my subscription. Fast forward to now and they eCards stoped working correctly. I wrote a review asking for help (and I had just renewed my subscription). They then removed the app and contacted me. After having to answer sever emails I just got a reply that basically made it all facebooks fault that it didn’t work so once again “passing the buck” to make it not their fault and no offer to return my money. Completely disappointed in this company and their lack of support.

Not Worth It

For those who want to say there’s another Hallmark app to use, you must have a cable or satellite provider to access it, so...it’s kind of missing the point.
I don’t have cable or satellite or SlingTV anymore because it seemed pointless to pay for it primarily to watch Hallmark movies at Christmas and mystery movies in the spring. But apparently that is really my only option if I want to watch *any* of their popular, recent movies or series. I find this really frustrating and immediately cancelled my trial membership when I discovered this. I don’t know why you would even offer an app with a monthly fee for your mostly old and not-so-great movies and shows. I was led to believe I would have access to Hallmark’s *entire* library of shows, whenever I wanted, and that’s the only reason I signed up.
I’ve never left an app review in my life, and this annoyed me so much I was compelled to share. Why is it so highly rated?! This app/subscription isn’t worth the money.

Good but could be better

I absolutely enjoy watching feel good, clean romance. It is well known that Hallmark is where you find this! However, my complaint is I subscribed to this for just that. I wanted an app that I felt I could pretty much click on any title and enjoy a clean movie without sorting through the garbage on other streaming services to find something decent. I have been shocked to say the least at how many movies I quickly have to exit out of and put on the “no watch” list because of language. Adding a couple of curse words doesn’t make the movie better. It’s very unnecessary. If the movies could all be CLEAN or at least noted that they have language in them, that would be nice. IMDb doesn’t always have the parents guide on every movie on this app. Thanks for your consideration!

Love this App!

I love this app. I have seen so many reviews and comments about the content being older, but what do you expect? Why would Hallmark have their newest shows and movies on an app? Other networks do the same thing, it’s a business, which I understand. I love catching up on movies and shows I have not seen in years. It is absolutely worth the price, but probably won’t keep it long because there is so little content, it will not take long to get through what I want to watch. But no contracts so it is worth it!! I would love to see older tv shows on here, much like Sue Thomas. There are other family shows I would like to see them purchase and have on here, like Doc and Promised Land. They could offer more of their older movies, but they have a decent number of them. My only complaint is around functionality. It does not save the place where you left off watching a show so you have to scroll through to remember what episode you were on. It also fast forwards and rewinds weird. It skips over huge blocks of time and you cannot see scenes as you’re going so hard to find the specific spot you want. I have had it crash a couple of times, too. So far it always reopens, but it looses my spot and finding it again is hard with the way it fast forwards. Again, totally worth the money even though it has room for improvement.

Lacking Content

Not everyone has cable or dish providers. Not everyone wants to pay all that money, despite the many channel choices they would have. Given this, I thought it was great that you could pay only for the network wanted...Hallmark! Cable and dish providers always charge so much extra for the packages that include Hallmark, and for many years I have had to go without one of my favorite networks. Here, I thought, was a way around that! Pay Hallmark directly for access to their network, and be able to finally see all those shows and movies I have been missing! Wrong. You do pay them monthly, but there is not access to any of the current shows or movies. You cannot live stream, you cannot even watch the next day. You are stuck with limited options of shows and movies from the past. Like several years ago, past. Who wants to pay a monthly subscription for limited selections of old movies and shows? Not me! I understand there is another app where you have to log in with your cable provider...well that won’t work for people like me that do not have a provider. And even then, reviews for that app talk about how you still cannot live steam and other limitations and difficulties. Can’t you just make ALL your content available?? You’re being paid for it...how much do you even get from cable providers when a subscription for the user costs x-amount/month but covers over 100 channels? That breaks down to not very much $$ per channel per month! Probably less than $1! So...at an individual price of $5-6/month for this app, aren’t you making more than enough to go ahead and provide all of your content? Old AND current? Even without live streaming, I would be ok with watching back episodes when needed and then the new ones the day after they air...or catching a new release movie the next day. Please consider changing this so those who are willing to pay a subscription directly and individually to Hallmark can watch any and all content.
Gets 2 stars cause there are still good movies and shows, but no more than that due to lack of current content!

Countdown to Christmas

The app is great and functions well. Easy to navigate, sometimes glitches when I go from watching on my phone to watching on my computer saying I’m watching on more than one device even if I closed out on the other device. Other than that no issues on function. I love watching Christmas movies and came here for just that. I signed up last year and was EXTREMELY bummed to learn that the new countdown to Christmas movies were not on there. This year I’m even more bummed to learn that last years movies are not on there and there are barely any new movies from what was on their last year. I wish that you would do one of two things. Add more new Christmas movies to the movies and mistletoe section or make a movies and mistletoe app so we can pay for just that. I’m even ok if I have to watch them a year behind but currently I don’t get to watch any of them at all and I don’t think that is fair for 5.99 a month. I would love to hear back from someone about this. Thank you for your time in reading.

Disappointing

We are working on cutting the cord and it is hard to find a way to watch current offerings on Hallmark or especially Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channels. I mistakenly thought this would be my answer. Don’t be drawn in if you want anything current. Some of the series are so old that even the picture quality is bad. I love all the mystery movies offered on their Movies and Mysteries channel on cable, but they are nowhere to be found on this app. Another major problem is how clunky the app is. If you start a series, and there are many episodes, it doesn’t pick up where you left off! It takes you back to the start of the series every time, so you have to try and remember which episode you are on. This might not seem like a major problem unless you are elderly and have memory problems, and struggle with using technology, like my mother does. She is the main reason I subscribed to Hallmark Now, and it is totally worthless to her the way it is set up. I wish I had not subscribed to a full year. She cannot watch it unless I am there to help her every time, unlike Netflix and other apps that automatically pick up on the episode you are ready for. I did try to explain this problem to those who are there to help, but they didn’t seem to understand my problem at all. There doesn’t seem to be any help for this. Has anyone else had this problem, or is there something I am missing?

Love the content; lots of technical difficulties

I love the content; that’s why I bought a subscription and downloaded the app. Unfortunately, I keep having problems with it on the technical front. I have NEVER gotten it to work on my phone (unless I unhooked it from WiFi and used up all my data for the month), while it works on our iPad, and both are connected to the same WiFi! Customer service did give me lots of suggestions, they just didn’t work. :(
Also, several times I have logged in on the iPad (the working device), to be told the server isn’t working right now. I don’t have this problem with my Netflix apps; but I would rather watch the Hallmark content!
So while I like what they offer, it is a real hassle for some reason for me. I hope it is not for you! The membership price is great so you could always give it a try, and they sometimes offer a free month.

Disappointing & Frustrating

Love the concept of the app, but it doesn’t work very well and I’m disappointed with the selection of shows/movies. If it were free, I would understand why only older shows and movies are available to view through the app. But it’s not free. Sure, I’m not paying for a full cable service here. Nonetheless, I still expected better. Set aside the poor choices available, and I’m frustrated with the performance of the app. Fast-forwarding or rewinding is an issue. The app often locks up, so I have to close out of it and reopen to get the movie to continue playing, and certain selections won’t play at all. The screen goes dark and a notification that “playback isn’t working” pops up. I checked for app updates, and none were available. I’m glad I opted to only pay for one month to try it out, versus paying for an entire year in advance.
