Can't sleep without it!
I rely on this app every night to help me sleep. There are lots of different sounds to choose from, but I only need the white noise. Recently, the app was crashing and the developer was very quick to find the issue and fix it. Great customer service!

My OCD has not yet discovered where these loop. All the machines I've tried have such a short repeat loop that I wake with a migraine. I can leave this on all night and not get a headache from it. Best sleep ever. I love the river because I spent a lot of my childhood camping and canoeing.

Best of all my sound apps + annoy telemarketers.
I've have over a dozen apps in this genre. They all have something uniquely different between them. But this is my most often go to app. Great selection of sounds, with a very simple but powerful user interface for selection of sounds and blending the audio tracks in each section. I've also found a unique use. Besides using this as method of creating a relaxing background sound, I've cooked up some combinations to be very irritating. I use those sounds on telemarketing calls. When a telemarketing call comes in I turn on one my annoying sounds and let the telemarketer try and figure out what is going on, while I run up there phone bill and waste their time. Rest well
This is the best app for restful or background sounds. I've tried several and this is my go-to for resting and working. I LOVE the ability to modify each sound with additions. My favorites are the ocean and the waterfall.

Then you can add in additional sounds (birds, chimes, rain, crickets, etc.) and modify the volume of each sound to create your own personal custom symphony. The phone screen displays a start/pause button together with the time and date, superimposed on a peaceful scene representing the particular theme that's currently playing. It's really very slick!
The "free" version comes with a generous 12 themes—more than enough for most people's needs. However, I suggest you consider purchasing the "Pro" version (for a whopping $1.99!) as I did, simply to show your appreciation to the developers for giving us such a wonderful app. (The Pro version provides another dozen themes.)

Especially nice is the ability to add or subtract other sounds and at a sound level of one's choosing. And also the number of hours it plays. I am amazed by my depth of restful sleep!

I have tried many ambient sound apps, and I mean lots of them. This one tops them all. The many ambient soundtracks along with the optional sound-effects with each of them, and their own volume levels, give this app a 5+. The impressive optional sound-effects that go with each ambient soundtrack are so well-chosen and sound so "clean." This app exceeded my expectations and then some. Enjoy!!

Best one yet
I've tried many different sleep machines, mostly free ones on the iTunes Store. This is by far the best one I've tried. The interface is clean. The sound doesn't stop if I go into another app. You can add to the sound if you want (birds, wind, etc.) and there are plenty of sounds to pick from.

I've had this app since I got my third gen iPod touch, I'm now on my iPhone 6 and I still can't find the loop in these tracks. The mixer for the individual noises is wonderful b/c I don't really like birds or wind chimes or anything like that. However, I love thunder and running water. You get to decide what you hear and it's definitely worth however much I spent that long ago.

I love this app. It's just the right thing I need to fall asleep and stay asleep. My only complaint is that the rain audio is in reverse. The sound of it is weird to hear because it's backward. If you guys fix that, you got a 5 star app. My favorites- sci-fi, running water and the rain - if it was fixed. :)

Great App for Sleeping or Studying
SleepBug is a lifesaver when I have to travel without my fan to make white noise for me. It offers an impressive array of "settings," like a thunderstorm or a rainforest. There is also a lot of customizing you can do—adding birds or crickets or wind, for instance. I've even let it run all night and it doesn't deplete my battery to zero.
I also (and mostly) use this app for studying. I need to have a background noise to shut out the sounds around me and help me concentrate. SleepBug is perfect for that. I use the handy sleep timer as a sort of alarm, letting me know that I've put in my set amount of time and it's time to take a break.
I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Get your relax on!
I've uploaded several white noise or relaxation apps but this is the only one I use regularly. We have a toddler that fights sleep like a crazed honey badger. My mom uploaded this app and used the train sound - kid konked out immediately. We've used it throughout our vacations to soothe our overtired tot and now I find it so relaxing I have it on all our devices so that at the end of the day I can decompress.
Only thing that'd make it better is if the app allowed you to set the alarm time limit as a favorite, call it 'the usual'. I set it for the same time, every time and in it's current state it's a bit tedious.

Sleep bug pro
I enjoy using your function for sleep as white noise and I normally use the river sometimes the waterfall, because they're consistent noises. Others that have intermittent noises tend to wake me up. The only complication I find is because your program uses the speakers, it conflicts with the iPad alarm clock. I have not figured out how to use your sleep function yet. We purchased this while on a vacation with 4 young children. They normally sleep with a noise machine but we failed to bring it! This worked perfectly! My youngest loves the water sounds. Worked all night without stopping several nights in a row.

Wonderful
Definitely a cool, useful tool. No more earplugs to block out noise now! I would only suggest that the sound gradually subside as the allotted time nears its end rather than abruptly stopping. I was actually asleep and was aware when the white noise ceased when I used it last night. Thank you for this program!

Sleep Through Rock Band
We have 4 kids, and I am a light sleeper, but this app allows me to take a nap after work with Rock Band playing in the next room. Amazing! My phone's ringer volume can even be off, so my phone doesn't wake me up either. And the sleep timer turns the "white noise" off at a pre-set time. Awesome!

Relaxing, but there is a glitch with the Sci-Fi sounds!
I love many of these sounds, especially the Train and Sci-Fi series. I have serious insomnia and anxiety at night, but these sounds help a little to relax me.
However I would also like to report a glitch with the Sci-Fi sounds:
At first, it is very relaxing -- the gentle drone of deep space and solar wind -- until suddenly a there is a random very LOUD static sound! The loud static-sound interruption happens even without any extra sounds playing -- I'm pretty sure that isn't supposed to happen. . . It scares me and wakes me up just as I am drifting off, and I can no longer use the Sci-Fi sounds because of this sound glitch. I've tried numerous times to reinstall the app, but it does not fix the problem.
Please fix the Sci-Fi sounds! 😢

Amazing
This app is soooooo worth the money you spend. It's really relaxing and works super well. I usually have a lot of trouble falling asleep, but with the sounds, I'm asleep within minutes, and helps create a zen-like peace for me when I fail to fall asleep because I'm restless. Music box and ocean are definitely my favorites, and I like having the sounds on even during the day to relax me. However, some of the sounds (like waterfall) are just too overpowering, even though they are on the first sound 'bar', which means they are at their quietest. Just fix this little thing, and this app will be irreproachable. :)

It's awesome
Works great for newborn, toddler, myself and wife. Very soothing. Very relaxing sounds. Wasn't a fan of the sci-if and horror sounds until I realized they probably weren't meant to be sleep sounds. Would work well for haunted mansion type ideas. I'm a fan. It's great but I hope there's more content in the future, like the toggles for the animal noises etc and hope there are more sounds to come. Or maybe even a settings page with a sound database so I can add to scenes.

Name Doesn't Lie!
Sleep Bug Pro's name doesn't lie! The sound effects are a great touch to soundscapes like Forest or River. Music Box puts me right to sleep! The great thing about these soundscapes is that they are dream-starters!!! Like one time I turned on Underwater and I dreamed I was a scuba-diver! This app is great, you must download it. Sleep lies ahead if you do!

Glad I decided to download this. I don't have an issue with sleeping or relaxing but I love this app. I like being able to change the background sounds and create different loops. Wonderful enhancing tool for those who meditate or do tai chi. It is very easy to use and has a good assortment of different types of sound. Much more than just white noise.

Perfect!
I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, I just had what is know as an MVD operation in my head. Because of the drilling into my skull, I sometimes have loud ringing going on in my right ear! I don't know how to explain it, but this app helps and takes the ringing away, sometimes for several days. Sometimes, I get a little stressed because of my condition (TN), and the Zen programs, relax me and make me feel so much better! This App is perfect! For all the reasons you can think of and for some you can't imagine!

Love it; want more options
This is a great sound app that I use to help my infant daughter sleep. Very realistic sound with lots of additional sound options to add to each sound feature. I just wish I could make a playlist, so that more than one sound could be played throughout the night. It would also be great if it worked on a regular iPod (not iPod touch).

I was at my wits end when I seen this app. My husband snores really badly; to the point that earplugs barely work. I turned on this app, set it to fire w/thunder and stuck it on my pillow. OUT LIKE A LIGHT!! Thank you for making it,because I actually get sleep now :)

I love this app! The graphics are cool the sound effects and options are great. it will stay on after u leave the app if u wanna do something else or if u just wanna put ur phone to sleep. I love that there is a timer so after 20 mins or however long it automatically shuts off. It's a must have app for me now.

Really Good App
This app does what it says it will do. Some sounds are better than others so probably just boils down to personal preference. I actually prefer the underwater selection as it sounds like a running fish tank or wall fountain and tends to relax me. I love the timer feature as some nights I prefer to only listen until I fall asleep while others I play it all night. The great thing is it really doesn't drain your battery all that much even when playing it all night. I agree with the previous review, that most of the sounds probably aren't for the OCD type personalty as I can tend to have those traits. However, you can probably find at least one you like and the one I found has helped me sleep better. So, overall I am satisfied and would recommend it.

Loving it so far ...
We've only used 2 scenes so far (Beach & Zen) but after using the same relaxation CD that I used to use for my massage therapy clients, my husband & I are enjoying this app very much! We had used that CD, which I uploaded to iTunes and played on my iPhone every night for over a year to help us sleep, so we REALLY appreciate all of the different options this app gives us! I can't wait to try out all of the other scenes, as well!

Not for the OCD-ish
Pretty good app all around but the river and rain sounds forced. It doesn't sound like natural ambient rain or a river. It's like they mic'd one tiny section of sound and not an entire surrounding. Also I noticed the rain repeats its sound quickly. Me being semi OCD makes me listen for repetition in white noise (even a rattling fan) so the rain would actually keep me up rather than soothe me.

I use this app on my iPhone for me and on my iPad for my baby. It is amazing for both of us. I prefer either white noise, weather, or trains. For the baby; lullabies, or classical music. It has something for everyone. Love it!

Super cool!
We had been using a dusty old fan for white noise. I slept we'll last night listening to the sounds of the ocean. The customization options are great. If I were a massage therapist this would definitely be in my toolbox. Very relaxing.

Exactly what I needed

We love it and listen every single night. 2 things however.... No need to BUY this app because all the really good sounds are up top! We have never listened to one of the "extra" purchased ones. They are rather stupid! "sleep bug" doesn't much equate with "horror" films? We would also enjoy MORE thunder and wind.... Less bells, and instruments!

Really awesome...
I love the vast choices, but would love to see a pause/stop function, and would also love to be able to listen to it while doing other tasks on my phone. Right now, when I close the app, the sound stops. Otherwise, it's a beautiful app!!! Worth the money, and the hope for useful updates!!

Great app! Love the various options for sounds and scenery (full version). Just one suggestion-perhaps an update that allows for portrait OR landscape view? Or, at least, an update with the capability attached to the accelerometer so that the scene shifts between views automatically. So far, I can't seem to find the setting for landscape view if there is one.

Awesome app!
Finally, an app that puts me to sleep fast! Thank you, thank you to the developers!
The sound is amazing, very clear and realistic. I love the beach, forest, and weather scenes. Additionally, you can customize each scene by adding or removing sounds. Great features, graphics, and a large selection of sounds. Highly recommend!

Sweet App!
Sleep Bug Pro has some nice graphics and cool sounds. The scenes combined with the sounds are breathtaking! Besides using this app to get into a sleepy state, I use it daily when repeating my positive affirmations. There are also a few combinations that give me the creeps :) All in all this app puts me in the perfect state of mind. I love it! 5 stars.

Sleeping like a baby!
This upgrade to pro was definitely worth it. After testing all of the scenes and sound effect combinations I'm all set. This app has helped me to tune out the annoying sounds outside that make it difficult for me to fall asleep. I highly recommend this app to those who find it hard to hit the sack.

finally getting some sleep, well worth the download
I am always waking up in the middle of the night, don't ask me why. Since I've been using this app, I've finally been sleeping through the night. It works, and I'm happy!
