Pretty hard to read
Visuals are gorgeous. The hands are too hard to see. I wanted to set my ipad near me so I could just look over and see the time, but I can't read this clock at a glance.
It's only got two "colors", so it's not versatile either. I am glad I got this for free because I would have felt a bit cheated. But there's a free version to try out if the deal to get this free has expired.

Ok, but....
Yea, it's a cool clock. But it says "3D". Where is the 3D part? How come I can't turn this around and see it from the back? You say see how a clock works? Well, I can't, all the front stuff is in the way. Again, let me turn it around. Let me examine this actually in 3D like you claim. This is a 2D clock. It is not 3D. Sorry.
I got this free, and three stars for free. But if I had paid the dollar, 1 star. There is very little here worth the dollar IMO. To make this 5 stars, let me examine the inners actually in 3D! For that, I'll pay the dollar.
As for telling the time, yes it uses system time, but I can't see the hands even close up. As a "desk clock", it's not very useful if I can't see the time. How about some options for hand color and style?

Love this clock!
I really like this clock, however the hands need a greater contrast to the background. Add an alarm feature and that would be great.

Great Mechanical Clock
I love the intricate detail and how it's animated to have the gears turning while matching the sound of the ticking. I appreciate all your hard work.

the only thing i would change, is maybe make the hands a little more pronounced... they're a little hard to see on the smaller screen. maybe i'll be better with the iPhone 6 plus i just ordered ;)

A really great clock
I have had this on my 27" iMac for years, and it looks phenomenal. I jumped on the iPhone version as soon as I saw it, and it does not disappoint. The detail and animation are amazing, the design of the clock is great. There are options for setting the volume of the ticking sound (thanks so much for that) and even a slider to adjust the size of the clock. Terrific.
I would love to see some the developers other clocks, like Steampunk ported over for the iPhone.

Dumb thing I downloaded it open it. Stays black. I wanted that too &I have an I phone 5 come on fix it, please! One star cause I bought it!

Very Nice!!
The screenshots show you what you get, literally. Good quality tones and chimes! I stopped counting gears at 20, one pendulum and a rotating bezel...what more detail is there. :-) I put it on my HD TV, via Apple TV, and it's like the face of a Grand Father clock and the chimes over my 7.2 home theater sounds really nice. An alarm would be nice though.

Very pretty. But for a hyped mechanical 3-D clock I had hoped to see more of the works. I would gladly pay much more for that.

My favorite clock
I have this clock on my PCs as well as on my iPhone. I appreciate antique clocks of all kinds and this fits right in. I have never had a problem with this app, has always worked flawlessly for me.

Great ! Had this on PC for years
The only way you could improve the best clock out there is to offer an alternate face design with just the FACE framework removed (keeping numerals) so that you can see all the mechanical workings. This would also create a better contrast between the hands and mechanical works as long as they keep the darker lighting inside the clock. The hands blend in with the face framework a little too well, depending on what time it is. An option to remove this FACE FRAMEWORK would be fantastic. Or at the least, maybe a design that reveals what's behind it a little better. Thanks. Matt

I originally got this app for my iPod touch and loved it & used it all the time - but on my iPhone 4s it crashes constantly. I've reinstalled it at least a dozen times hoping (in vain) that THIS will be the time it works beyond the first time I open the app - but it just sits there, frozen; Until a fix comes along maybe this should be sold in the App Store as Broken Clock 3D...

Almost perfect...
I have many clocks... This one is one of the best. Would be perfect if the hands were the same color as the numbers... Even better if you could adjust color and darkness of the hands... Then you could see what time it is from ten feet away!

Looks great
Looks and works great. Only thing that would make it better (and increase my rating to five stars) would be the addition of alarm functionality. It would be great to use this as an alarm clock, with the ticking set to off, of course. ;-)
As I think about it, if alarm functionality is added, to make it more user-friendly, automatically switch the ticking sound to off whenever the alarm is on, and vice-versa.

Keeps getting better
3planesoft has always made the best stuff. I bought the Light House Point screen saver when it first launched and now they are moving to the app world. 5 stars for excellent quality. Giving this app a choice of gold or silver colors was a nice touch as well. Thanks.

Best clock period!
I saw this clock on a friend of mine's Mac book and I started looking for it in the app store. This was about a month ago, and never found it. I downloaded another similar clock but it is nowhere near ad cool. Just browsing the store today I found it. I'm stoked.

Just as good as the desktop version
I've used 3Planesoft's screensavers on my PC for years and own the desktop version of Mechanical Clock. This is very comparable, with the same high quality graphics and sound.
Hopefully this is just the first of many conversions -- I'd love to see the Lagoon, Lost Watch II, Haunted House, Fireplace and Discovery screensaver ports on the iPad, too.

I like it!
I like it. I have it on my iPhone 4 and when it get home I will put it on my iPad 2. I like the sound it makes and the look. The only thing that bugs me is the fact that it doesn't totally fit on iPhone screen. I can't wait for the other screensaver apps!

FINALLY!
3Planesoft has been doing Savers for years. I own ALL of them for my PC and hope they release them all for my iPad2.
I have emailed them in the past about porting them to the iPad and iPad2 with their fast solid state hard drives and this is a Great Start...Port them all, and yes, I did remember to get their New Dolphin Saver. Modern Screens no longer have burn in, but these are so amazing to watch...go to their website and check out all of their savers...you won't be Sorry!
