Used to be Amazing!
I loved the app a few months ago when initially downloaded. But recently nothing works as it used to! The automatic transactions don't post on time if at all. I'm guessing there was an update and I wish I could remove it. So disappointed.

One thing lacking
I really love this app. It's a simple way to keep your check register with you all the time without having to carry the extra paper. However, I would like to have it shared with my husband on his phone so he can tell what transactions are being done. If there's a way you can have us invite people to share with that would be great.

It's ok does what it's suppose too, but it has some annoying issues. When you select a category you have to do it twice... the delete does not work.

Depends on what you need it for
Nice to keep a running Balance on expenses. Unclear how to add your own categories. Would be better if the initial balance was on top of the page with new entries going down the page instead of up. That would make it easier to compare to bank entries for those of us who do not want to download for security it other reasons.

Have been trying for 1 hour to create a Dropbox backup to sync between iOS devices. Continue to get an error message. Changed password, no luck. Looking for technical support???! No where to be found. Find another app.

App was awesome at first. Now I can't hide reconciled expenses and it won't let me delete accounts. I've emailed the app designer twice and they never responded. I'm always getting updates on the App Store, but I've yet to get the first one for this app since I got it at least 5 years ago. What's up with that.

Keeps me on budget
I no longer forget about bills coming due or outstanding transactions. The paid version is the best. I always know to the penny how much money is available to use or transfer to savings. I use this for all my accounts. The budget section works seamlessly with the checking section. No longer have use two separate programs.

Visuals need work, can't transfer outside auto
Functionality wise the app is ok, it needs to allow for transfers between accounts without having to set up an auto pay but otherwise seems to function good.
Visually it easily gets messy. It's too busy and I don't want to hide reconciled. I will delete and go back to my excel

Great checkbook app!
I love this app. I used to use a paper ledger to keep track of my expenses, but this app makes it so convenient. Whenever I purchase something, all I have to do is log in & record my transaction. Once a week I double check to make sure everything's cleared with my bank. Love the app! Great job and keep the updates coming!

See a lot of complaints about app not being secure on personal information. Don't put personal information in. Checking just says checking. No account number, nothing personal linking it to me except that it on my phone. Nice app to balance checking account and to balance rechargeable gift cards.

Great app...
...only things missing are landscape mode (an absolute must for any iPad compatible app) & more transaction icons to choose from - incorporate these things in the next update and this instantly becomes a 5-star app in my mind. In time, I'd also like to see some better streamlined sync options between devices... for now using Dropbox to relay data while on the go will do.

Works great just like a check book register
It worked the way I expected. I use it to track my debit card purchases. This way I am not surprised when I get my statement. It saves me logging in and checking my balance.
I wish there was a way to note DEBIT or D.C. In the check number field.
I think for the money it is a great product.

Keeping Me On Budget
I went ahead and paid for the upgraded versions so I could add the multiple accounts and budgets. I couldn't be happier with this app. The register part is simple, straight forward and easy to use. I will say, though, that I'm still working on figuring out the budget side of it, but I'm sure I'll have it figured out soon.

Some feedback features don't work & DROPBOX won't connect
I WILL BE ASKING FOR REFUND FOR THIS APP PURCHASE. TOO MANY THINGS NOT WORKING.
UPDATE: there isn't a running total in any of the accounts! AND, it only can be used in portrait mode on my iPad Pro... very clumsy.
I was really happy to have found a simple check book app and this one promised most of what I was hoping.
Paid for the upgrade and for Dropbox backup. Can't connect to Dropbox to backup. UPDATE: complained to Apple/iTunes and got a refund for the Dropbox upgrade.
Tried to submit a 'BUG FIX' in feedback and it doesn't work... neither do 'CONTACT US' and 'FEATURE REQUEST'.
If 'CONTACT US' doesn't work how do I get help!!!!

I like the app. I just wish you could select every 4 weeks for a recurring expense, instead of just 2 weeks and then a month. I also wish you could select your account to be a default account so you don't have to keep going in to the account when you only have one (I haven't paid for any upgrades.)

Set ALL Reoccurring Transactions to the 1st
I use this app exclusively for my checking and savings accounts and really enjoy its ease of use but the one thing that nags the heck out of me is that memorized transactions don't show up on the designated date each month. I have reoccurring transactions that are saved for the 10th & 15th of the month that still haven't been added as of the 25th of the month! I have deleted them and re-entered them to an earlier date to try and push the issue but it seems to add the transactions whenever it feels like it. I have to mentally remove the money from my balance. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the app? It delays my ability to reconcile the accounts too since my statements come out around the middle of the month so I have to wait for the app to "decide" to add the transactions.

Very useful
I tend to keep up my ledger a whole lot better with this than without. I used to forget to add transactions in my written ledger all the time, but with this being on my phone and with me all the time, I have no excuse to forget to record. Fantastic !

Unreliable app
I used this for a while but recently I have noticed my account has been off. One time it was off by over $15. Most times it was a penny here and there and I was correcting. Y adding or subtractive the error in the "Discrepancy" category but more and more I find it unreliable. I literally typed in -.99 one time and the app added $1.01 to my account.

Easier than traditional hand written
I decided that since it is 2017 I should switch to an electronic ledger. I tried 4-5 apps out and this one seemed to have the best combination of features. I did pay $2 to add some features and get rid of ads. I like this app. I just did my first reconciliation and it worked smooth. No more handwritten manual calculations for me!

It's pretty but doesn't work right
There is a lot of features that's missing. For example, it doesn't group transactions and it there is no way. The features that they do have doesn't really work. For example, budget screen always shows I'm over budget and the calculation never resets even though when I go in, it showing the correct transactions. You have to pay like 7$ for all features but they don't even work right. I'm going back to my outdated application that still has useful features. I don't know why they try to make these app so complex!!!

Does not handle six figure numbers
Can't input some six figure numbers without the App changing the cents portion of the number and adding or subtracting incorrectly from current balance. Cannot Balance check book for this reason. Notified developer several times. No response. Would not recommend this App to anyone.

Too restrictive
I like to budget my money by tracking set amounts. I had to upgrade to have multiple accounts. Then it adds together all the accounts marked checkbook and it makes you pick from expenses that do not pertain to what people spend their money on. I buy gas, toilet paper, multiple types of soap & cleaning supplies & groceries. I do not go to restaurants or travel or just shop for anything I want only what I need to survive. And I have to budget for these things. I use this system to figure out what I can afford to eat and it's usually not much over $60 a month and I have to be able to compartmentalize my low income to survive.

Great Banking App
I have been using this app (paid version) for about six months. Being a previous user of iReconcile, I found it very useful to have a mobile "check register" for keeping track of debit card expenditures, but the iReconcile developers chose not to update the app for iOS 10.x on the iPone 7, so I had to find another app. Checkbook is the replacement! It is designed for iOS 10.x and works very well. I haven't experienced any problems once the interface was understood. It's a great app for keeping your account records, balances, etc., on the go.

Latest update ruined everything
Ive been using this app for at least 5 years. I have loved it- but it's been recently deleting my transactions and when I write them for support or bug fixes I am not seeing any changes. Bummed that I might have to make a switch to another app!
Old review: I've had this for over 2 years and when I did the newest iOS update the device has crashed. I deleted and re-downloaded and lost my backup all information. Not only that but my computer backup is not working cause it doesn't recognize that I had paid for the full version! I am very upset

Really enjoy this app! It just needs some updates...
I've been using the free version of this app for about 2 years now, and I absolutely enjoy it! It's pretty simple and easy to use, and once I truly learned all it's capabilities, it has really become an everyday necessity for me.
The reason I am giving it 4 stars, however, instead of 5, is I feel it needs some upgrading. This is simply my personal opinion:
• The design and UI of it is simple, which I like, but it's a little out-dated.
• I would really like to see it have the ability to just use the emoji's on the iPhone instead of the icons that it already has. There's just not enough to cover a good amount of types of expenses and incomes. (Variety)
• It needs to have a sync feature so my family can see every adjustment in real time, so we're all on the same page with our finances.
But other than those few things, this app has really truly become a necessity.

Recurring Payment Problems
I've used other apps in the past for keeping tabs on my checking account. I chose this app for the recurring transactions feature. It worked fine for about a month, but then the recurring transactions started to come late. Two months ago, I sent in a bug report and an enhancement request to allow recurring transactions to be brought in to the ledger early (so one could see how much is left over after the bills are paid until the next paycheck). To date, there has been no response and my recurring transactions from last Friday haven't posted (it's now Tuesday).
2 stars are for aesthetics only. Functionally, the app needs work to make it superior. I'll be shopping for a different app this week.

Great start but horrible, frustrating and non functioning now.
I downloaded this and it seemed like the perfect simple checkbook app. It worked well for one account so I upgraded and paid to add additional accounts.
After a period of time I decided to backup to Drop Box and discovered I needed to pay for yet another upgrade for this. So I buy the additional upgrade and the Drop Box feature is broken and unusable. I am now two paid upgrades into this and its worthless to me.
Tech support? Good luck.
I will be looking into the more well known accounting apps. I don't need all the features most of the more advanced and well known apps offer but I suspect they at least won't take my money and leave me hanging.
Bottom line: if you are only using one account and never plan on upgrading it might work.

No Longer Reliable
I have been using Checkbooks (the free version because I have only needed to deal with one checking account) for years now, and it's always been great! Until....... last update that is.
I started noticing that my balance was off by 1 cent. And it could have been 1 cent more than my bank one day, and 1 cent less the next. Occasionally it would be right, but more often than not it was wrong. I checked and checked for a mistake on my part but when doing additions it seems to sometimes add them correctly and other times it's off. And putting in a reconciliation of 1 cent only fixes it for that time you are using the app. Close it (remove it from active apps) and reopen it and it could be off by 1 cent again! And you never know if it's more or less than your actual balance until you check with the bank.
Now I know what you are saying, "it's only 1 cent" or at least I've said that for months now because I do love this simple app. BUT how can I be certain? Today it's 1 cent but what if tomorrow it causes an unnecessary bounced check? If I wanted to do that, I'd use the paper counterpart and screw up the math myself!
No thanks, that makes this app only free if you don't bounce a check, otherwise it's $35 per mistake! I've sent a bug report to the developer, but not heard anything back (as others have mentioned). So I'm afraid it's the delete button for this app after years and years of happy transactions.

Great check register replacement
This app is a lifesaver. I was one of the last paper and pen check register users. I ran out of registers so I went to my local bank and the teller had no idea what a register was. I shrugged and tried again at a later date yet another teller had no idea what a register was. So I decided to finally use a app. I checked a few and this one had the most consistent reviews. After using it for months I still love it. UI could use a update but it's SUPER functional. Only issue I have it's when you toggle off the hide reconcile it doesn't work anymore.

Reconciled checks aren't showing up
This happened during the last update of iOS 10. I went to reconcile the checks and my balance was off so I went back to unhide the reconciled ones and they are not there. However if I look in the search engine for that particular check it will show up. I have emailed the company three times and haven't gotten a reply. I did pay for this app and have had it for years and loved it. Now I'm worried I'll have to get another app. I just wish somebody would contact me and let me know if they're working on it as it's been along time since They've updated the app anyways.

Almost perfect
My recurring transactions never pop up on the date I have set. I end up having to manually add them like I do all other transactions. Then when my account and the app balances don't match, I have to go look and find where the app finally decided to add the recurring transaction for me and delete it since I already manually added it. If it wasn't for this every single time I have a recurring transaction that's supposed to be there, I'd give it 5 stars.

Very comprehensive but missing something…
Pros: The expense categories are great for tracking spending and the fact that you can edit them to make them personalized is even better. The reports are fantastic; income and expense graphs are very helpful! The app is also very user-friendly.
Cons: No "available balance" line. As this is a checkbook balancing app (among other things) an available balance would be strongly suggested for an update. Other apps have this. Lastly, the icons are limited for the expense categories; a few are just plain bizarre (chain?). More would be appreciated (clothing, shoes, bikes, things that represent hobbies/activities). Just my humble opinion.

Super Easy
Are you smarter than a 5th grader? An American show, but the obvious answer is yes. This app is really easy to get the hang of. The only thing that doesn't come with it is discipline. Discipline to update it. Discipline to make a budget. Discipline to stick to it. This app is for people who don't have time to sit and write out all their receipts (and then do all the math). It does the adding and subtracting for you. I will update this after a week and then after a month of use.
This is also good for those of us who are paranoid with bank apps that are hackable. This isn't real money nor is it connected to your bank accounts. Hallelujah for security!
The ONLY problem (so far) is that this will only let you track one account at a time. That is the main luxury of upgrading and that is how the app makers make their money. I understand. I'm cheap.
Bottom line: easy money.

Love this app, but.......
Have been using this app for four years now. It is very basic and straight forward. I paid for the upgrade and have had no issues with this app since I started using it until now. I now have an iPad and cannot sync my information between devices. I also would like my husband to start using the app and be able to share up to date information with him. I'm even willing to pay another upgrade fee in order to get the sync feature. Up until this point I would have given a five star rating but now with my evolved needs this app is lacking the sync option so now I'm on the search for a new app.

Love this app except for one thing
This app is the best one I found out there. It's straight forward, easy to use, enough room for entering notes, and adding and/or deleting categories is s snap! The one thing it doesn't have but hope it can be added is the ability to share the same account with my husband so we can both keep up with our balance and enter our receipts as we go. That would make this app awesome! I would be willing to pay a small monthly fee to have that feature! Hope this gets to the right ears. Thank you!

A little clunky
It's really just a fancy check register. If you want more analysis and automation you should look somewhere else.
It allows you to set up recurring charges but they don't post on the day you assign them. It also doesn't let you filter your views on reports or customize the coloring for easier analysis of your accounts. And it doesn't allow you to transfer funds between accounts. So trying to do it manually messes up your reports if you care about that stuff. It also doesn't let you split a transaction into multiple categories which again is frustrating for those of us who want track spending accurately. They have a good start but they have a ways to go for those of us who want to better manage our accounts beyond just documenting transactions.

Goodbye checkbook registers!
I can't say enough good about this app! I no longer use a checkbook register to record my purchases or deposits. I have multiple accounts that I can track in the same app. No more scrambling to find a pen to record an entry. I always have my phone with me which makes it so convenient. I only wish there were more background choices, but that's purely cosmetic and in no way affects the functionality. I've been using/recommending this app for several years now.

Wonderful app!
Great app for someone like me who is prone to forget how many times I've swiped my card. I reconcile with my bank account every few days to keep my spending in check. Lifesaver! One issue I wish would be fixed: sometimes the "reoccurring" charges take over a week to show up. If we could have a way to push those through, that would be wonderful.

Never Wondering!
I will always be confident of my current checking account balance now!!! It's so easy and fun!
There are some transactions on my online checking account that do not reflect the purchase or bill that was paid for days, depending on what method was used to make the purchase so I inevitably would forget what was pending and then not have sufficient funds. Since I rarely write a check, I don't keep a record book. This has been a load off my mind!!

I love the concept of the app, but could improve!
In a world where swiping your card is the norm, balancing my accounts prove difficult. This app allows me to enter all of my transactions so that my ledger balance is up-to-date even if my bank account is not. I like that it allows me to add recurring items and that I can create reports to see my spending habits.
Now the cons - suddenly my recurring biweekly transactions aren't moving into my accounts. I've tried updating the dates, shutting it down and restarting, but it's not updating, so I had to add them all myself. The other thing is that the reports show your spending by category, but I wish it also gave a list of all of the transactions included in each category so that I had an easy way to see the specifics all in one place. And I do have the paid version.

Disappointing
After an initial experience with the free version and reading the glowing reviews? I decided to upgrade. Not what I expected!
I did not find the app very intuitive. That is, what initially appears to be very straight forward--logical, turned out to be hours of frustration. The "Help" section is limited and could be greatly improved with several examples of what to do and what you get/see. The search feature is of no value in helping set up categories, accounts, summaries and overview. What was even worst...there is no security! An Individual category/account can not be hidden or locked. Then, all one's personal, confidential financial accounts, assets and obligations are unsecured. There is not a security login for the entire app. Perhaps I was expecting too much for this paid app. But besides the expenditure on an "incomplete" app. was the FRUSTRATION OF TIME SPENT ON THIS CONFUSING AND DISAPPOINTING (expletive deleted by me😡)

This is supposed to let you categorize each expense so that you can run reports. However, it doesn't retain any edits to those categories, either on existing charges or when you add new categories. I had to save some new categories three or four times before they stuck, and now when I reassign old line items, they new categories aren't retained either. Clearly I should've worked out my system before entering a single thing, because two months in, I can't change anything. I'd I'm going to have to re-enter two months worth of items, maybe I should find a new app altogether.

Needs One Thing
I really like this app because it has a simple format and is pretty user friendly. My only suggestion/desire at this point is having the ability to see what your balance is after each item is added. In a normal check register you would subtract/add your amount and write your new balance afterwards. Not having this feature makes it hard to look back and see when the last time my check book matched up to my account.

Great and practical app
I use this app as a ledger to keep actual expenses records in real time in my iPhone so I can reconcile them later with my bank. It displays real money balance available at your fingertips to manage expenses.
Visually pleasing and easy to use interface.
I wish it was capable to sync automatically with my iPad via Dropbox or iCloud, instead of restoring manually from Dropbox.
It also needs more icons selection for categories, even if they have to be purchased separately from within the app.
Otherwise, I am very pleased.

Love this app so far
I was wanting a way to not only do my checkbook right on the spot but a break down by category. This part could be improved on but it may be in the paid version which I plan on getting but it can be used exported to an excel spreadsheet very easily and a sort from there is a breeze. I have not found to much about this app I don't like. Awesome awesome awesome. I have been using this for a couple of months now and I really like this app. Well worth the money. One thing I have found is when you do the backups, you need to create a new one each time so you get the most updated info. This is not clear on how to do this but you need to add a new local backup by hitting the + sign in the upper right hand corner.

Great app with budget option
Love this app for keeping track of all my account balances. I just upgraded to the budget part of the app, but a couple of things: 1. would love it more if when you upgraded to the budget part of the app the icon moved from "more" menu to next to accounts. 2. If you could choose which "home screen" you wanted to use between budgets & accounts and 3 if you could add your own icons or be able to select from a more extensive library. Other than that this app is definitely worth all the upgrades.

Only thing you need
Downloaded it based on reviews. Was up and running in about 3 minutes or less. Very simple and very easy to use. I actually like not having transactions automatically downloaded. For the last many years, I have used auto billpay. (Heavy on the AUTO -- to the point that money comes in and goes out -- and I never really have any idea how much I've spent. This simple apps allows me to enter each expenditure immediately so that I can actually "feel" and see where my money is going. Gave up on Quicken years ago. Finally built my own Excel budgeting app which I will still use since it has far, far more detail. But will use this all day, every day. !!!

I no longer use paper!
I rely heavily on this app and it does a great job. The styling could use some freshening up but it functions very well. I no longer use a paper register. I keep track of all my personal and business expenses.
If it had an invoice component it would be everything I need to run my business. Hopefully that's something they will be adding in the near future.

Actually acts like a checkbook ledger!
I have been trying out apps for tracking just my checking and savings accounts. Ever since PocketMoney disappeared, I've found the other apps to have so many budgeting features that they don't give you easy access to what your current and future (important for bills you've set up to pay at a future date) balances are. This app does it. Yay!

Not Bad
Not bad for free, but well worth $1.99 for more than one account. A little getting used to with setting up recurring expenses and their badges, but once setup it's handy and a piece of cake. Wish there were more badges or you could use your own. So easy, I had my teenager download it and use to track their bank card. They no longer need to call or text me just to ask how much funds they have available. For that alone, the free version can't be best. Too easy and convenient to pass on.

Nice app!
If I still did my accounting by hand, this absolutely would be my choice for financial management. The reports are on par with the reports I get from the program I chose for my accounts payable work. Streamlined but informative. Very easy to input and track data. I actually use another app which is more automated for the bulk of my home accounting. However, I have four accounts I can't sync and this app is the perfect program to take care of that problem. I almost feel spoiled having such a truly superior accounting app to manage my four little accounts.

Used it for years
For being a free app for finances, it's pretty basic, but it gets the job done. I wish that it just had an alert for when a payment was due instead of taking the whole amount out of your account without warning. The charts are pretty accurate of your spending account if you use your genres correctly. I've used it for years and would recommend it to anyone. I plan on upgrading so that I may save my information for viewing of my spending.

I RUN MY SMALL BUSINESS BY IT
I am a long time fan and user of this app (5 years?). I love it's simplicity. I love the charts and reports. I use it many times daily and input all expenditures. It is the most used app I have, and feels almost like a friend.
Now, I have had to make small calculating adjustments to this app. Sometimes it's math doesn't jive with my accounts as posted in the bank. I'm assuming this is because of some accounting adjustments that are beyond my current mathematical abilities to understand (like decimal placement .0000 when I only account for .00). I have to add or subtract a penny here or there,but frankly I'd rather do that than get rid of the app.
So why a five star review with an imperfection? Because it deserves it and I want others to enjoy it as well.

I would rate this app 9.5 out of 10 if I could. The only things I would change would be adding the ability to sync to a cloud, so my husband and I would be able to have each other's checkbook updated in real time. And somehow link it to my bank when I do transfers. I hope for the former, and would never expect the later. Great app!!! I've tried at least a dozen checkbook ledger apps, and NONE compare.

Doesn't work when upgrading to iPhone 6
I used to love this app and had no issue until I updated to an iPhone 6. i can touch the app on the screen and it opens. After it opens, I tap my checking or savings account and app closes out and takes me back to my iPhone home page. Nothing works. I contacted the developer over a week ago and have heard nothing back. I had the paid version. With the unpredictability based on other reviews, I will be selecting a new app for my bank accounts. Unable to back any of my data. Luckily, I have the info on my old phone but I'm not carrying around two phones because this app won't function as it should. The company should refund money spent on this nonoperational application.

Great App to Keep Track of Accounts
I have used this app for many years to balance my checking account. The only issue I have had was the change to an iPhone 6 Plus and the app would not work. I contacted the developer and received a response quickly and the update was created within a few days. The only thing I would like to see changed is that if I write a check with a future date, that it won't reflect in the Balance until that date comes. It may be a personal issue but I hate seeing my balance lower because the check has not been cashed or even given until a future date. Great app!

I Loved It Prior iOS 8
I had this app since 2011 (Full Version). Worked great on my iPhone 4 which never made it to iOS8. I switched to an iPhone 5 after upgrading my wife to a 6 and the application crashes. i've tried several times to contact developer with no success. I noticed my version stopped at 4.3.4 which is not shown here and the most recent is 4.5. I'm not sure if I have to purchase the upgrade again if I download the new version or what or how to restore my old information because I don't see an option to restore from a file or any similar. I will be looking for a new application if I have to pay for this app once again.

LOST ALL DATA! They don't seem to care!
I upgraded my phone to iOS 8 and have now lost ALL PREVIOUS DATA. When I opened the app after the update, I could see my balance on the initial screen but when I tried to view transactions or to run ANY report it crashed. I went to their website for help and they suggested just backing up the data, downloading the new free version and importing the backed up data to that... no go. Nothing. Nada. Zip!
I've used first the free version of this app and then the paid version for several years and have found it useful and user friendly BUT will no longer use either as I can't risk losing everything ever again. I'm doing taxes right now and am thankful that I backed up everything to my pc about 6 months ago.

Paid Version Crashed
I've had the paid version for close to 3 years, used daily, absolutely loved it! Then the iOS 8 update caused it to crash. Emailed the developer, even received a response that evening. Been waiting a week, saw the FREE version had an update. Did some research found the paid app is no longer available on the App Store. But I figured out how to temporarily fix my problem to get my data back. I downloaded the free app (now showing I have the app on my iPhone 5s twice), upgraded within the app, then did a backup import (using the backup I created right before I did the iOS 8 update), I was then able to access everything from the last 3 years. I created full transaction exports of all of my accounts so I can have the data for my records.
I noticed the weird circle with the letter 'i' in it throughout the app and my data but I was able to retrieve it the data. Hopefully the developer will submit another update to fix that and to work with the new software 8.2 update that was released last night.

Worthless
This app is completely worthless since the iOS 8 update. I can't name accounts therefore I can't create accounts. I lost all of my data for the past 5 years because the backup/ restore didn't work correctly. I am extremely upset. The developer emailed me directions to rollover my paid account to the free app because it "is up to date". Well it isn't updated and now I have to find a new app because the developer hasn't responded to my many emails regarding the situation. It's a shame because this app was perfect...exactly what I was hoping for in a checkbook app. I hope they update it but until then they have lost my business. 😠

I'd gotten very bad about checking our account every day, and this has alleviated any problems regarding available money/what's cleared, etc.
This is so easy to use (no math required!), and so much more convenient than a paper register since I always have my phone right at hand.
The only feature I'd like would be the ability to mark that it's been reconciled to the account, then the ability to mark it clear once it clears. In this electronic age, transactions sometimes pend to the account for a few days before they clear, and I would just like to make sure I've recorded/verified everything. (In my old paper register, I used to put a / when I reconciled it, then turned that into an X once the item had cleared.)

Excellent overall!
My wife and I each downloaded this app....in an effort to help get a better handle on how much is in her checking acct at all times. The paper ledger wasn't working out for her, but this more fun/2013 way of tracking expenses seems to be! It does just what we'd like it to do regarding transactions. We had trouble setting up a couple of categories, but eventually got it to work the way we wanted it to. Very impressed and happy to have/use it!

Very useful for planning
I'm about to purchase a new home and one thing this app has helped me do is plan out how much money is flowing in/out of my bank account and make tweaks accordingly. There are a lot of applications that do similar things but this one is free (always helpful) and this app developer's other financial apps have helped me in the past.
So far good experiences with this application as long as you're willing to put in the time to get everything set up.

Great app!
I love the simplicity of this app, but yet the in-depth complexity of features makes it that much more better, still withholding ease of use. Just found a small bug; if the app is opened, and entering a transaction in a text editing field (such as description, or memo), and if I click the home button on my iPhone and then open the multitasking tray on my iPhone and go back to the Checkbook+ app, it will return to the edit transaction screen from where I left off, but it randomly adds the number "2" in the editing field, sometimes it will enter "22." It's not a huge or big deal, but just thought I'd make you all aware. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Great App
I work in the banking industry and would recommend this to my customers. I would suggest making it possible to set an end date for recurring transactions. Or being able to indicate the number if times that recurring entry needs to repeat (I.e. pay credit card $100 per month on the 15th for the next 5 months) this way we can set future payments/deposits and still show a current balance. Keep up the good work.

Good choice for tracking
Tried several similar apps for account management, found I preferred this one for its balance of functionality and ease of use. Intuitive interface, not bloated or overly complicated.
It falls short in facilitating projection of expenses/balances in the immediate future: I would like to see my recurring transactions in the register before they happen, perhaps in a different color, so that they are automatically included when I make an estimate of my upcoming activities. With the addition of that function, this would definitely be a 5-star app!

Don't be cheap, spend the 99 cents.
I love this app and use it all the time. However, I started with the lite version and would recommend just buying the full version now since this only lets you put in 20 transactions. You should be aware that this only keeps track of your account balance information, so if you want a version that tells you if you are sticking to your budget, you should look for a different product since all the budget apps I have looked into also will keep track of your accounts. This app is well worth the 99 cents for the features it has though.
