Usage:
• Buttom Right: Hide/Show Main Setting Menu, settings for name display, constellation, deep sky object, night mode, star amount and grid mode.
• Top Right: Search Menu (Solar system, 12 Zodiac and 88 Constellations, Deep Sky Object and Famous Stars)
• Top Left: Location Menu, choose location from a world map.
• Top bar: Time Machine Menu, adjust any time/date.
• Buttom Left: AR Compass indicator in AR track mode, pan the screen to enter un-track mode and click track button to back.
Tips:
• When search any object under un-track mode, it will be locked at the center of the screen, then user can adjust time/date to see changes of the related sky.

Purchase app awhile back and was very functional. Now it doesn't calibrate or work. Very disappointed!

Great App
Other apps, that I used, had trouble with compass directions.
This apps, has me very interested in star locations.
It does have a small learning curve, but after that, I use it almost every night. Thank you for a Great APP.

Used to be my favorite app
I purchased this app ages ago and it used to be accurate. It doesn't even calibrate anymore and is very "off". I'd give it a 5 star rating if it worked as well as it once did. Again- I paid for this and I'm disappointed.

The free version of Skyview is better. This needs augmented reality and the ability to search for an object by typing.

Don't waste your money
It's a decent app. My only problem with them is that they had another app with the same name. They abandoned the old app and started a new app. The devs are sneaky and dishonest, don't be surprised when they abandon this app and start another app with the same name.

Very happy it's working again!
Was not working ever since iOS8 installed and had no way to contact developer--and most surprisingly--Apple had no idea either.
There needs to be some way to get in contact with a developer selling on the App Store. Apple has failed the customer community by not requiring support contact info in order to be an approved seller on their App Store.

Amazing graphics?
No. If you're used to just about every other space app out there this is not going to look good to you. The font used for naming everything is blurry and the constellation graphics look washed out. The deep space graphics look like they were cut out to put onto a collage. You can see the variance in black from the apps space background versus the black surrounding the space "clipping".
Do not buy this. I bought it due to the sale and because of the reviews and I regret it.

Great App
I love using this app. The graphics are amazing. It is very easy to use and fascinating to play with. One issue I have is that the compass is not always accurate, therefore the aim of the app is sometimes off. Closing the app and resetting the compass usually does the trick.

Won’t work without cellular service
Compass doesn’t function without cell service; therefore no good for wifi only situations, or remote location outside of cell range (like camping). Darn. Otherwise, excellent.

Having fun with the stars
My kids and I love this app.
Last week we noticed that there was a bright star that seemed closer then usual. We used the app and discovered that it was actually the planet Venus. It was great.

This app is fantastic. I love it. If there was an item to complain about it is the function buttons on the screen. With the darkness of the view they are difficult to see but once you know about them and where they are its ok. This is a small complaint and should not take away from the greatness of the app.

Nicely done, but I have noticed that none of the options, such as auto-zoom and number of stars, is maintained between sessions. Close the app and repopen and you have to reset these all again.

As a former aerial navigator in the early '60s, I am impressed with the display. I would have given a months pay for a hand held GPS when at a thousand miles east of Puerto Rico at 1000 feet in daylight. No celestial except a sun line, observed drift, total DR to get back home.

Beautiful illustrations. I have downloaded many star chart apps, but the details on this one blows the rest away. Great for IPhone. Love the ability to zoom in and zoom out by pinching fingers to get a close up on nebulas and other sky objects.

Amazing! I would love to learn more
My only gripe is that I wish there was a button or something that would open the internet and search Google for whatever constellation, planet, star, or deep space object I'm looking at so I can learn more about it. Maybe future versions of the app could include this feature?

Date Night
It was kind of romantic the way I was introduced to this app. With the car parked, we leaned the seats back and he held the phone up with this app open. It was as if we had a telescope inside the car :)

It's very pretty, which I am glad for because I can't see many stars where I live. (As you move around through the star map, the stars twinkle & shine!)
It moves very well & I like that you can turn certain features on & off. (such as constellation drawings, grids, & others)

Funky auto zoom that I can't disable
This is a beautiful app, but every time I move the phone for a different view, it zooms in and out automatically. This is distracting, and I wish there was a way to disable it so that it would not be zooming in and out all the time.

Just point your iPhone to the sky and you will know what stars and objects are there in stunning clarity.
Enter the name of a plant or a star and an arrow will point you to it.
Now I know why I need the gyroscope and the Retina display.
This is beautiful astronomy for everyone (with an iPhone or iPad with a gyroscope).
