Love the Aldi life, but the latest update is FRUSTRATING!

I’m an Aldi girlie through and through, it’s such a great help to our family in feeding them healthy, affordable food. The AOS is great too, don’t get me wrong. But, seems like there’s a glitch EVERY time they update the app and this time, I can’t even log in to build my cart! No way to submit an issue without calling, but I’ll see if that helps. Please beef up the app updates and support for the app! Otherwise, it’s amazing.

Like the store- HATE the new app format

I do NOT want to see same items multiple times (same item different size or different color). Imported is meaningless- all items show “imported” - I do care about knowing the country of origin.
I use to LOVE Aldi, but this app is so horrible I do NOT enjoy planning my shopping at Aldi, so my shopping trips are less frequent.

No weekly ads

Love the app- but since the last update, the actual weekly ad isn’t there. It’s only the sneak peak or the special buy ad. I like being able to see what’s on sale, to plan for my weekly meals, and I haven’t been able to do that.

Not intuitive

I’ve tried really hard to like this app for a long time, but it all boils down to the fact that it is very difficult to just scroll through items quickly to see what items are new especially the Aldi Finds. Also, I miss being able to quickly/easily see a sneak peek for what’s up and coming. Could there just be a dedicated section that’s specifically for non food items and upcoming non-food items? I get that this app is also used for grocery shopping but the amount of items to weed through is overwhelming. Just my 2¢.

Local store no longer listed even though the store still exists.

Had to stop using the app because my local Aldi location, which is in my 21224 zip code less than 1 mile from my house and still there (it hasn’t closed!), is no longer listed in the app! It vanished from the store listings at least a few months ago. WTH! At least it’s still listed on their website.

No longer shows all products

I don’t know what happened but suddenly this app will tell me that there are 0 products that match my search for very common items such as toilet paper, butter, strawberries and many more. It doesn’t matter which location I have it set to. Is anyone else having this problem?

Bring back consolidation

This app used to be incredibly helpful. However, after recent updates (it’s currently June 2025), the current and upcoming Aldi Finds sections are near impossible to review. I don’t need to see 1,000+ items because each item has a separate listing for every size and color option. Same with the food flavor varieties. Consolidate! Less is more. On the plus side, I’ve saved a ton of money by not shopping the Aldi Finds since it’s so difficult to see what’s available each week.

I LOVE Aldi, but their app is annoying the absolute heck out of me. Every update it gets worse and makes it harder to use.

Will not work on my iPhone

When I attempted to download this app to my iPhone 7+ it says that it won’t work on my old iPhone but did I want to download an older version of the app? I clicked yes and it downloaded. When I opened it I got a screen that attempted to download the update, it’s frozen there and I cannot proceed any further.
So I cannot use the Aldi app. Fine - there are lots of other stores whose apps still work fine on my old iPhone. I’ll shop there.

Please bring back Instacart pick up!

Aldi recently changed and made their own app the only option for grocery pick up. It’s sub par.
There’s no details about the possibility of an item running low therefore the option of a substitution is not there.
You cannot let them know you’re on your way. You can only let them know you’re there and then you see a message that it could be 5 minutes before your order comes out. And 5 minutes has been the minimum time I have waited for my order.
I still love the store, the prices and the people who work in my local store. But I am done using this app.
I’m writing this review in hopes that the app can get further developed to be what we all had with Instacart - or they can just go back to Instacart because it was great!

Frustrating

My nearest Aldi no longer allows pick up through Instacart so I have to order through the Aldi app; this appears to not exist when using pickup through Insta unless delivery. Fine.
There are often items I see instore but when I get home & start an order on the app, those items appear not to exist, so it’s frustrating that certain items are invisible to the app or the inventory isn’t updated better via the app. For substitutes, I can’t search for similar items so I have to type out a name I have to sometimes look up or provide a lengthy description. Also, the substitution option is default, which I get, they want to maximize profit but it’s a nuisance to go remember to un-click subs & I end up with items I can’t use. It’s not as well designed & user friendly as Insta app, so I’m finding a lot of time wasted, when the reason I use this service is to save time due to caregiving responsibilities, so often no time to leisurely self-shop in store.

Horrible customer service

There is no way to find a way to talk to anyone through the app. Placed an order two days ago yesterday to be picked up yesterday, received a text saying do you high demand it wouldn’t be ready until today, go to pick up the order the store manager (only person who was decent) says they are having issues with orders from the app and have been for over 5 days. We are told to contact instacart who plays the blame game saying no it’s ALDI issue somewhere along the way I have my order cancelled with out authorizing it and I’m transferred to ALDI’s customer service for the app I get run in circles and demand to speak to someone higher up this person refuses saying they aren’t allowed to but here’s my reference number for my dispute refuses and only gives me their nick name so we have a hard time filling a complaint. I love this store but they need to fix their phone reps and their app and maybe partner with a reputable company for online orders.

Yes, please bring back the old app!!!

I agree with the other commenters opinion. The old app was far superior!! It was much more comprehensive and was in sync with the merchandise in the stores. These days I am never certain what might actually be available so I shop elsewhere. Sadly, my trips to Aldi (and I adore Aldi!) have declined by about 90% since the new app was brought out. The “Aldi Finds” used to draw me in every week & once inside, I would shop like crazy. But, now, because the new app is just the pits, I rarely shop there anymore.
PLEASE go back to the older app!!!

Horrible App and Customer Service

I tried placing an order and was met with an error, yet there was a pending payment in my account. It was an app error, so I wasn’t about to try to order again and lose twice the money and still not get any groceries, because that was already my grocery budget for the week. I contacted customer service which is only available by filling out an online form, and shortly received an email that they couldn’t do anything about my declined payment. My payment was not declined, and no further instructions on how to get further help were given, so I had to fill out ANOTHER online form before someone called me to tell me there is nothing that can be done at all and I just have to wait 7-10 business days for my funds to be released from my bank. I understand the mechanics of how that works, but in this economy with these grocery prices, I can not afford to spend double my grocery budget (if the order would even go through the second time) in order to get food today…and I also can’t wait 10 days to go grocery shopping.
Steer clear!! Go somewhere else, and go in person.

Fine app with limitations

The app is fine. You seem to be able to locate the items that you need. However, there's one major drawback that is really ridiculous in this day and age and such a bad idea for Aldi to leave uncorrected:
For so many, many of the products, there is no way to find out what the ingredients are, crucial to those of us with significant food allergies. And Aldi could correct that so easily. Just include a photo of the"ingredients" portion of the packaging. They have taken the time to do that on some products, but they have left that off for a huge percentage of the products...A significant gaping liability for Aldi for the customers whom, as the site suggests, go and pick up their items from the store without ever getting out of the car.

I miss the old shopping list … 😫

The old format fit my needs better than the new format. Pretty much the entire reason why I had the app in the first place was so I could manually add a price with an item in the shopping list area, and could easily get a rough estimate of how much everything was going to cost. The other reason was the weekly ad. It was nice they both were right up front and accessible in the app, too! I thought that was a special feature and even had wished other apps, such as the Walmart app, would implement that feature! It made in-store shopping so much easier for me, as I don’t use curbside or delivery. Now it’s gone, and I used it pretty much every. single. time. I. shopped. What a bummer. 😢 If that feature is fixed back, along with having the weekly ad the main focal point, I would be back to loving the app! I do like the categories in the new update, but I don’t think they need to be the main focus. I do absolutely love ALDI, it’s where I get almost all my groceries, I’m just not a fan of the updated app. 😅 I didn’t have a choice not to update, either, as far as I’m aware - it had me update before I could access the app.

Shopping List gone with new update

Latest app update is a disappointment. I used the shopping list function on this app every week. It was great and remembered items I had bought before so I could search through and add them again. I also liked being able to manually add items that may come from another store so my shopping list was all in one place.
App update wiped out my entire list and the new “shopping list” function is buried under the weekly ad. Which itself is now buried also. It’s also basically just a note field, all the functionality is gone. I don’t do curbside or delivery orders for my groceries and the app has basically just become a variation of the Instacart app.

Recent update limits options

The previous aldi app allowed us to see this week’s deals and upcoming deals. It updated each Wednesday morning and allowed customers to see all the deals, the variations, uses, colors, patterns, and locations in the store (frozen, etc). When we liked something, we could add it to the shopping cart, which was sorted by week, making it easier to shop (although also easier to spend money!). There were at least 70 options (household items and food) weekly.
With the new app, all of the details have disappeared. We can no longer see the variations or colors. We can not add to a shopping cart (or see our old one from the website). There are no food listings. The special guys are what brought me in to aldi even on weeks I didn’t need groceries. With the new app, that incentive has gone and Aldi is losing money because of it.

New App is horrible

Previously looked like the photos posted on the App Store. Since the update, you cannot view Aldi finds for “this week” or “next week” without the app opening the full website within the app. It does not go directly to “this weeks” finds, it just lists all the products (after taking more time to load the screen), minimal results on each page, many of which are “Aldi staples”, and 23+ pages you have to search through and wait for the screen to load again.
You can select a category, but you still have to navigate through numerous pages.
Also includes several results for the same exact item, but with a different color/pattern etc, on a completely different page.
Was soooo much better on the old version of the app. I want to see what aldi finds will be available IN THE APP. And I don't want to have to see multiple entries for the same umbrella in a different color on page 1 then page 5, etc. and we don’t need separate entries for the same shirt in a Small, Medium, and Large, etc.
So much more time consuming to look through I might as well just drive to the store instead.

Hate new format

I absolutely hate the new update. I want to go to weekly finds and just see a list of the things that are in the ad all together in one long list like it used to be. I don’t wanna have to pick a category. And your preview screenshots say that it says finds by date, but mine does not say that. I just realized today that when I go to those fines, they will show something and say additional styles and you can’t even click on anything to see what other styles they have. It is absolutely horrible if they don’t make a new update to bring it back to what it used to be in the next couple of weeks, I am deleting the app. I used to plan what I was gonna buy each week by looking through the this week and next week page, but I haven’t gone since this update happened because I can’t figure out what is happening each week anymore

It was not broken, and you “fixed” it :(

I love Aldi. I live super close to an old-school one that I’ve been shopping at since I was a little girl going with my grandma. And I especially love Aldi Finds.
The old app had the finds in a tidy, scrollable list. They were updated weekly. They were decently accurate, barring a few my store didn’t get on rare occasions. Since this new update/app links to a website, it’s become basically unusable. Case in point: I saw banana nut muffins, which are standard Aldi goods (though they alternate sometimes with chocolate chip), listed as an Aldi Find. I went all over my store looking for them, checking the finds section, and still, no muffins. I figure I missed them and reopen the app this week to find, at the top of the page… banana nut muffins! I can’t find the actual food finds at all, and I only found the housewares by looking at the scanned paper ad. The finds page is now broken into a bunch of subcategories instead of one list.
Please please return the list format. I don’t want your app to direct me to a website—the whole point of an app is that the info should be contained within the app.

Favorite feature: Shopping List

I love Aldi’s and definitely appreciate the new app, however, I feel that it’s still lacking compared to others…
I wish there was an option for a QR scanner nestled into the Shopping List so that you can scan items while in the store and have them not just be automatically added to the list, but also do an auto tally of the prices (after quantity selection) similar to what Walmart’s app features.
I feel like adding this would make greater use of the app and would enhance the shopping experience because every time I step foot in store, the lines are outrageously long and could help bypass the hassle.

Too much change geared for online

I had previously reviewed the former new app. I agree with the current reviews. Bring back the list feature as now it’s too cumbersome to find and remember the Aldi finds we want. With this new app it’s easier to just browse at the store itself. Not everyone shops online and wants to add things to the cart. At the very least a “view print flyer” feature needs to be made available. There needs to be a form to give feedback about the app, not just the store or products.
What I said before below about the app size stands especially with this newest update that is obviously geared to online shoppers - who btw most likely shop via third parties anyways.
Not sure I will use the new app as it’s huge. Instead this version was small, which is the right size. Apps should not be big even though most are becoming so.

Less User Friendly After Update

January 2025
Although the old version of the app was basic, I am finding I prefer it over the updated version at this point. This new version seems to either overlook basic navigation options or they simply don’t work. For example, when I click on a product while viewing Aldi Finds, I am unable to go back to the previous page listing all of the items. The “back” arrow is disabled so I have to go back to the home menu and start all over.
The app looks nice, and it appears that it would be easier to navigate, but this has not been my experience. I like where it is going … it’s just not there yet. I look forward to future updates that address the navigation challenges.

Why would you do this?

We shop Aldi frequently and the app used to be very helpful to actually view upcoming items to make a plan for shopping. We would find something from the ad then when at the store we would continue to look at what’s available and likely would buy other items. With this latest update, Aldi has really screwed up. Not only did they take away the option to actually see variations of items in their “upcoming Aldi finds” (which was an awesome feature previously), but they’ve tried to make it “easier” to find current items by hiding them in subcategories. To be fair, in the current finds section they do list the variations separately, but now it’s very inefficient to navigate. For instance, the “Home Improvement” section shows a picture of a hammer — this suggests that this section will have tools and such, but instead this week has Apothecary jar sets — this would make more sense in the “Home and Decor” section.
My suggestion is to make this weeks Aldi finds the same format as Upcoming Aldi finds, but with the different variations available to see in Upcoming finds. You can still have Categories for this week’s finds, but leave that as an option — make the initial page showing everything THEN allow someone to click on a category if they want to. It’s all about efficiency — you want to make it as easy as possible for the customer.
Come on Aldi, be better.

Took away ability to add to a list and see all info and options for Aldi Finds

Took away ability to add to a list and see all info and options for Aldi Finds. Now it just shows one thumbnail representing each find with no info on dimensions, features, colors, etc
You used to be able to easily add anything to a list too, and now that feature is lost. What am I supposed to manually make a list for items that I can’t get enough info to see if I want.
I have no clue why they rolled out an update that makes the app pointless. But now I can’t even see enough info to get excited to make a visit to the store. For all I know the options or features of each product aren’t good. I used to get excited to review the upcoming finds this week, and now it’s pointless.

Aldi Finds

The app used to be great. We could use it to see the new releases for that week and the upcoming week. After the recent update, that’s no more. Apparently a poor decision was made to remove these informative pieces. Now there is no way of knowing what food items are available or going to be available. I personally feel this decision was made by a person/s that do not use the app.
Multiple user’s have taken to social media to voice their complaints, some going so far to state they will no longer shop at Aldi. These changes should be brought back as it is hurting both the customer and business.
Furthermore, the app/website is basically pointless now. No way to view stock. No way to see/order MANY stocked items. And now with the recent change you’ve removed the largest reason most people used the app.

New Aldi Finds Navigation is garbage

This app used to be useful when the Aldi finds and upcoming Aldi funds could be viewed the way an app should allow- better than the website. Now they just seem to feed the website into a frame. So now you can’t easily swipe from item to item to view efficiently. To make things even less efficient I can’t add anything to a list, only to a cart and I have to click through pages now instead of it all being on one scrollable page the app had before. Total trash downgrade! Years ago they lamely decreased picture resolution so you couldn't even read smaller print on item packaging. I couldn’t imagine they would fail so much further. Things should improve over time, not devolve! Wake up- fire your app staff!!! They are losers!

It’s not terrible…could be much better

It’s not he most user friendly app, but it gets the job done. Of course, it’s really the website. Today I tried to place an order, picked the time and went through to the payment, placed the order. I got the message that the order went through. I was in a different city and started my way back home to the closet Aldi near my home. I was twenty minutes away and stopped for gas. I noticed an email from Aldi saying my order didn’t go through because that time slot wasn’t open. It was when I picked it. By now it’s too late to place an order because I’m too close. To add insult to injury, it cleared my cart. No groceries today. ☹️

This app is embarrassingly bad

As others have noted, this app is needlessly convoluted and confusing. You can’t search for a product and then add it to your shopping list; the only option is to add it to your cart for ordering. Conversely, if you’re browsing the weekly specials and click on a product, the only option is to save it to your shopping list, not to your cart for ordering. Also, you can’t set an Aldi store as your favorite. Every time I launch the app, it’s directing me to an Aldi that’s a half-hour drive. I can’t set the one five minutes away as my store. I like to have a list before I set foot in a store; I’m not a browser. The purpose of this app should be to check the weekly specials and start building a list, then search for other products that you need and ADD THEM TO THE LIST YOU’VE ALREADY STARTED. With grocery prices the way they are right now, Aldi is missing a golden opportunity to poach customers from other supermarket chains. The prices at Publix, for example, are out of control, but at least the app is easy to use.
Almost forgot to mention: the vast majority of five star ratings for this app are people praising the company itself, NOT the app.

As a newlywed wife I thank you!

Honestly Aldi has been a life saver for shopping everything tastes good and has helped me be careful with finances. I really enjoy how the store owners have helped to bring organic foods for my home and make it easier for me with a very busy life. Balancing with serving in church and taking care of my home has been a true blessing. I can’t thank you enough for caring still in these tough times that everything is so expensive and closing down. Please don’t close your stores they have truly been a blessing to many! God bless you guys!! ♥️

Literally the most useless shopping app

1) why is there a link in the app for the “New iOS app” that takes you back to this page? I’m literally already using the app.
2) why is there not actually a way to accurately search the store’s prices and inventories? In the app itself it doesn’t seem to exist. If you click “Shop New ALDI website” it takes you to actual website on Safari where the inventory cannot update fast enough to tell you what is in stock or what your local price is.
3) the shopping list feature is basically no different from your List App where you enter a list item (no products pop up, it’s not a search) and then YOU have to write down the price. I don’t know the price that’s why I’m in the app - so I don’t have to go to the store. Literally useless!
I love ALDI but the app does nothing to improve customer experience or help with grocery planning. I can’t believe they paid anybody to make an app that does nothing. Even H‑E‑B and Food Lion, both regional chains in comparison, have vastly more useful apps that can keep up with your store’s inventories and much more.
This app is a waste of phone storage.

Shopping Lists Don’t Work

I thought maybe I was doing something wrong at first, but upon looking online it looks like the app changed since all the online tutorials about how to make a shopping list in app were made. Either by glitch or by choice there is no way to search for items to add to the list, no search bar, instead only the option (+) button to manually add items (which is fine but then it tells me to manually add the price-like IDK what your strawberries cost this week, that’s why I using the app). It still usable as I can make a curbside cart on the in-app website link, but its inconvenient and I can’t tell if the prices are the same as they will be in store.

Top notch store!

I have been shopping Aldi stores since 1982, first time in Oak Park, Illinois! Back then, they had boxed and canned goods only. I have enjoyed watching the growth they have made through the years! I have shopped many stores over the years, my encounters with each, and every Aldi employee has been excellent! I love the weekly special buys, purchase them often! The fresh produce/meat depts are always fresh and more often than not well stocked! My DIL moved from Chgo suburb to Denver area (Thornton) and would love if she was able to continue shopping at your stores, as well as many of her family and friends out there! I am a very satisfied, many years shopping Aldi stores customer! Thank you !! Keep up the good work!

Card Charged , Pickup Order Did not Process

I used the Aldi app to do a grocery pickup order. At the final stage of checkout AFTER I entered my payment information, I got a message stating that I was not logged in (I was). I immediately got the alert from my credit card that the amount of the Aldi order was charged to my account and approved. However, there was no confirmation from the Aldi app or via confirmation email that the order actually went through. I then attempted to contact the Aldi store directly to see if they received the order, only to discover that Aldi stores do not have direct lines. I then googled and was able to find an online order customer support number for Aldi. They were of no help, because their online orders are actually through INSTACART. So the Aldi customer service rep could not help me at all as he could not see anything on his end, but he did provide me with the Instacart customer service number. Instacart confirmed that no order went through and assured me that the charges should drop from my account within 2 - 3 hours. So now, not only do I not have the groceries I needed, I have to monitor my account to make sure the charges fall off. And then if they don’t, I have to make yet another call to the credit card company. Save yourself the hassle and don’t order online with Aldi.

I love Aldi

I have been shopping at Aldi for 40 years! A lot has changed over those years. Aldi had become wonderful grocery store where they offer quality, fresh foods with everyday staples at great prices, along with the fresh meats and fruit many specialty and organic items that are very affordable to purchase and try. Something that I have done for many years and continue to this day.
This way me and my family are able to experience some worldly flavors and sometimes become some of our favorite foods and juices.
They have cooler bags that are efficient, pretty and the best prices and sizes you can’t elsewhere.
I have used many household/kitchen appliances that still continues to work great today.
Their employees are polite, helpful and even have personalities and sense of humors.
I recently moved from Illinois ( one every mile or 2). Unfortunately only total of 9 in this state, we need more!
I shop no where else, cause I’m so familiar with the prices and quality of their products and personally feel
Being ripped off by their competitors! Plus I know where everything is and can walk right to it, I seem to walk around in circles at the other stores in the area, wasting my time and frustrating me, so why bother!?
And you don’t need a card to get lower prices! Aldi is across the board lower and very fair priced.

App Needs serious work.

I absolutely love Aldi's as a store but this app needs a serious make over and this is my main form of shopping at Aldi's. With my busy schedule I just don’t have the time to drive 20 miles to Aldi's for me to go grocery shopping which in result I was utilizing this app quite a bit. ( I know oh poor me, but I on avg. work 70 hours a week esp. come summer time.) Before, the app was just ok and it was working just enough to do what I needed. For whatever reason I can no longer save items as favorites which makes it easy to shop and numerous times I’ve had items saved in the cart only to come back and sign in to find my whole cart empty. I’m not one who usually writes reviews but after the other night of spending a few hours figuring a grocery list and shopping my through the app only to come back and find my cart empty, I lost it. Aldi’s do your due diligence and get this thing fixed. Auf Wiedersehen!!

What if

I love Aldis but what if the app was just as good as ordering online?? Online you get a lot more interaction with your shopper as well as text notifications(when you approve text notifications). When you use the app you don’t get to communicate with the shopper at all. The first time I ordered thru the app they left my groceries at the door without a knock or any type of communication! Had I not checked the app for the order status my groceries would have stay outside in the rain for who knows how long. You also don’t have the option to choose substitutes or add items. The app needs a lot of work! From a menu with categories instead of 6 categories on the home page to some type of customer service chat for when you have issues for example if something wasn’t delivered and wasn't cancelled from the order. Aldis deserves 5 stars but this app does not! I will continue to use the online order system instead of the app until updates are made.

Disappointing

I was excited to download and try out the app, but it’s pretty much a waste of time if you have an iPhone. I can’t speak to different models or different brands, but here is what I observed, compared to other grocery stores, like Publix, Costco, Sam’s or Walmart:
1. I couldn’t find a way to log in and set up an account. That means I can’t share my list with my husband, who does the actual shopping.
2. The Print Shopping List feature didn’t work. I pressed the button, and I’m on the same network as my printer, but it doesn’t engage.
3. There is no Search function! I spent a lot of time wading through menus to find what I wanted, and then couldn’t get the darned thing to print, as mentioned in #2.
4. I’m a first-time Aldi shopper. It is bad enough that the app doesn’t show prices. It also completely lacks most product descriptions and NO list of ingredients. I have to be on an egg-free, gluten-free diet, among others, and failure to list the nutritional information is a deal-breaker. Heck, at least show a picture of the packaging information!
Bottom line. The app is attractive, but with no nutritional information available, as well as the other shortcomings, I’ll just go somewhere else.

Mostly great, with one exception

I love using the Aldi app! It makes things so much easier for me to order ahead and pick up. The employees are very quick at coming out with your order. The only problem I have is they don’t have an option to not use their paper bags, which they automatically charge you for. Food stamps cannot pay for the bags. It’s annoying that I can’t select “have my own bags”. I get food stamps and usually don’t even have $1 in my checking account. So that prevents me from ordering ahead. It’s extremely annoying that they force you to use their paper bags! I don’t need them, I don’t want them, and I don’t have the funds to pay for them! So I am forced to go inside and shop instead. I cannot stress how annoying and inconvenient this is!

App is behind

A lot of people are leaving ratings for the store not for the app itself which is misleading. When I seen the 4.8 rating I thought I was in for a well designed app. Wrong !
The app lacks a lot of character and key features shoppers look for in an app. It should allow you to select a store, view that stores specific catalog, see what product inventory is in/out of stock, and add it to a cart with a total price. I’m sure people don’t want to waste gas driving to the store only to find out something is oos.
I love Aldi but other apps offer more convenience like Walmart, Target, Kroger where you can basically do everything right from the app. I find myself getting groceries from there simply because their apps are functional. Which I don’t necessarily like but it works. Hope to see improvements in the future because right now the app is useless.

Love, love, love

It took me a couple of visits to get used to this new store a few years ago. But after the 3rd time I was hooked. I try to make this my only shopping store. I love the healthy lifestyle foods you promote & the specialty foods for people with allergies. Occasionally I have to go elsewhere to find a specific product such as laundry stain removers but they try to have alternatives. I also like the fact it’s not a huge store. I’m older & hate spending the day running around all over Walmart looking for an item. And trust me getting a store employee to help these days is harder than pulling your own teeth! Lol I say just give it a chance!

Love Aldi, But App Needs Work!

I’ve recently been introduced to Aldi and fell in love with their amazing prices!! The app really need major work! It’s a lot easier to compare prices and order online with Walmart and Target. I don’t like the feature of ordering online groceries to be redirected outside of the app. I’d like to see more photos of each item, especially a nutrition label and the ingredients list. I’ve also noticed the prices online are not accurate to what’s in store, even when I select which store is closest to me. This online versus in store price comparison was done on the same day, so that’s disappointing.
Aldi, please fix, because I’m a lover of the store!🤍

Shopping on app

The shopping aspect if this app need to be made easier, its a bit ridiculous that I need to go through 5 different tabs just to get to the part where I can start shopping. I love the fact that there are useless application right on the first screen, ah yes a grocery list, like I cant do that in my notes app, I would be more understanding of that being the first page if the price self populated after you favorited a location and it you the selection of items that fall in the types category (like the several kinds of milk or eggs) but no a useless app component should be front and center and the actual shopping component be several pages in.
I would hate to be stuck home seriously sick trying to use this app to have my groceries delivered.
How to fix:
Have the user select a store as their favorite, and make it so shopping is the first thing that pops up and with an easily accessible sales flyer tab. Actually have a website configured for smart phone use and don't just have the app take the user to the regular website which is configured for a computer. At least have to shopping feature be in the featured tab and not the more tab.

Reasonable shopping for all.

I started shopping at Aldi when I discovered the store in West Palm beach. The prices were very good and I could save a large amount of money compared to other popular grocery stores.
Even though the named brans were not available l was happy with all the products available. The quality and taste were just as good as popular name brands.
Since I live in Hobe Sound I would fill up a shopping cart of food and none food items to last at least two weeks. This saved on gasoline. When the store opened in Stuart I was happy with the shorter distance. I have been a loyal customer since and still fill up a basket with a large amount of items.
The staff has always been friendly and attentive when I come in the store. They even allow time for me to place my items on the conveyer belt then they start to price. Amazing how fast the cashier is and careful with putting items in the cart.

Thank You Aldi‼️

Thank you Aldi for:
All the Gluten-free grocery options;
The fresh safety packaged produce;
The “affordable “ prices; no coupons needed❗️
The affordable clothing options;
The pet items, like the cardboard cat house;
The wonderful friendly and helpful staff💕;
The easily-reachable store item set-up;
The up-to- date items, e.g. flax seeds, etc.;
The fast/speedy service IN & OUT‼️
The personal protection wipes @ entrance;
The 🛍grocery bag-boxes with handles
Etcetera - etcetera - etcetera. . .
Aldi, you’ve solved the shopping negatives and made shopping 🛒 🛍 a pleasant experience❗️
One observation - we clean our carts at the entrance with the disinfectant wipes… then, at checkout, the cashiers take your cleaned cart and exchange it for another… I would prefer keeping my cleaned/disinfected cart to the end, especially since I’m then packing our items… I don’t want to touch a cart someone else has USED, then pack my items for home.
Once, again, “t-h-a-n-k you Aldi”💕🥰🙂🤗

Best prices on almost everything

Dave Ramsey’s daughter said ALDI has the best prices. So, I took a second look, comparing it with Walmart, Target, Hy-Ver, Wheatsfield Co-op, Fareway, Thiesens, and Sam’s Club. And, other than loss leaders (items stores sell under their cost to encourage customers to go into the store) ALDI’s prices were lower.
ALDI brands are not always familiar to me, so I can’t always vouch for quality and taste. But I usually like Trader Joe’s and both stores are owned by the same entity, so it would be worth trying.
The main reason I didn’t shop at ALDI’s much is because the stores don’t have accessible carts for customers with disabilities. ALDI stores also employ few people so no one is likely to answer the phone. I do think ALDI offers pickup now if you order over a certain dollar amount, so that helps.

App not worth it IMO

I tired the app and every time I want to place a pickup order, it takes me to the online site. So why bother downloading the app? In addition, nowhere that I see does it say that when you place a pickup order, that you must process it through Instacart when you get to the store for pickup. It also doesn’t say this on the sign (at my ALDI pickup area) so you are left wondering how on earth to let them know you are there for your pickup. The sign at my ALDI says “use the app or text” to let them know you are there, but doesn’t specify Instacart app nor is there a phone number on sign so you know where to send the text. When you ask the people who bring out your order (after you e walked in the store to let them know you are there), they just shrug and say it’s a third party company and they don’t know how it works. Deleted app.

Good, but could be much better.

ALDI is my favorite store. I wish I lived their app just as much. It should provide support to customers that you can get from calling the store like all other supermarkets, since you can’t actually call any ALDI location. Wouldn’t it be incredible if it linked up with stores’ inventories to let you know which location still has that ALDI Find you’re searching for? I’ve driven to multiple locations in vain on multiple occasions. Its shopping list feature would be better if you could find the products they always carry and add them, including their prices. I love the simple innovations their store incorporates to allow such great prices on their products. Improving the app in these ways would only increase their business from today’s online shoppers.

No weekly ad info anymore

Why does the weekly ad feature not work anymore? It just keeps redirecting to safari but then doesn’t bring up the ad. Not being able to look up the weekly ad through the app makes it rather irrelevant. That and the shopping list were the two reasons I used the app. I would love to see the shopping list have a few features added to it. Being able to create a list using categories would be nice or at least a feature that would allow the user to move an item to a different place on the list would be nice. I love that I can use it to keep track of how much I’m spending so I don’t go over budget, but I always feel like I wish it had a few more features than a basic list and calculator.

Love the store, not the app

All of the reviews I’ve read seem to be exclusively about the store itself (and I agree that it’s a great store!) however, the app itself is pretty useless. It allows you to view the weekly ads really quickly, but that’s it. If you want to do anything else, like order groceries online, it will just ask to open web browser and take you to their website (so then why am I bothering with an app?) and the only other feature is a grocery list. I was excited about the grocery list option because I thought it would be like the Kroger app, which allows you to view all store items, including prices, as you create the list. Unfortunately, not. You type any items you need (hoping they carry them) and you manually write the price in yourself (so I guess if you go often enough and just know the prices off the top of your head).. so pretty useless in the end. In the end, it’s easier to just go to their website. No use downloading an app.

Grateful for this App

Grateful to have gotten this app a couple weeks ago because now I can see what’s coming to the store I had of time to prepare my days to be there to get these items when they come in!
I got the laptop holder, a few pet supplies and a mini waffle iron on the days they came in. That waffle iron made a huge difference, I did not know my son would enjoy these cooked waffles better than the frozen waffles and they are so easy to make! I can take it to go camping with even.
Anyway, I am so so happy with the purchases I have been able to get since applying this app I look forward to the future buys so much more now!
Thank you Aldi for making this app available! It has made a huge improvement to our life.
God bless!

Love Aldi!

I love this store, it’s my favorite to grocery shop at because I know I’m always paying a fair price. It’s also the fastest store for me to get through because I don’t have to look through 20 different brands of each product to find the best value (only 6-8 aisles instead of 20).
Their product quality is top-notch and I have faith that their brands are healthy and safe.
Finally, they are environmentally aware and I love that they promote that with their customers. (Especially love that they don’t use 10 flimsy plastic bags for each customer... Reuse their cardboard boxes to take your stuff home in or bring your own reusable bags... you can buy bags at the checkout if you’re in a pinch).
Thanks for being my go-to store!

The staff is always helpful, always busy, this is a small but busy store. They are constantly cleaning and restocking. If they run out of something I get a quick apology and when to check back. I’m a senior citizen trying to fall apart. Two of them have my phone number. If they’re out of something, they’ll call me when it’s back in. A couple of times they’ve called other stores trying to locate something. If I can’t find something they generally stop whatever they're doing to go help me look or check in the back. If I need to return something, on the rare occasion, it’s quickly handled with a smile. Wish your other stores were as pleasant as this one.

Aldi employee

Aldi should inform customers of our “seasonal” items instead of posting them as “new”. This is a very common question for certain products that we only carry seasonally. Also, it would be terrific if the app could inform customers of any ALDI Finds items that are not received (in store) in time for the advertised date. That way, customers know before they come into the store to find that item isn’t there.
I have worked over five years for Aldi and I love it! There have been so many terrific changes- including providing this app!.. even though I do feel as though it could be more informative in answering more customer questions. Otherwise, I enjoy having this app as a tool to refer while at work.

Please bring back dates for weekly specials!!

Absolutely loved this app - but since the last update, there are no dates on the menu for weekly specials buys!! Even when I save items to my list...my list no longer has dates either. Makes it challenging when going in to the app and trying to figure out if that item was last weeks special or this weeks. It’s also been nice to have all my items saved on the list so I can go back and look at dates of when a particular item came in, since some items Aldi tends to get yearly at that particular time. Love everything about this app - but PLEASE BEING BACK THE DATES ON IT FOR SPECIAL BUYS!! Thank you!!!!

Long time satisfied customer

I grew up in Germany in the 1950’s and 60’s and I strongly disliked my mother for having us take a 4 mile walk to buy groceries even though we were living right next to a food super market. Anyway, the trip that we took was to ALDI, the place that I came to love by now. I could just about say it’s my favorite place to shop, heck I might just be honest and say that I almost live at ALDI. You have the freshest produce, each day fresh, juicy and delicious fruits and veggies out of this world. Saving on eggs, almond milk and many other tasty dairy products. Fresh meat and fish.
Italian pizza fresh and frozen and many other delicious foods from all around the world, like oriental cuisine and Spanish cooking.
Many years of shopping at ALDI and it’s getting better every time I’m shopping here.
Thank you for who and what you are.
I hope you’ll never change and if you do let it be only for the better.
I remember that before you came to Rochester New York I’ve used to tell everybody about ALDI and about your savings and my childhood story and then you opened up your first store here. What a great gift. WOW. So this is my story from Germany I had you in my heart and told everyone about you. Until you finally crossed the see and that’s it.

LOVE ALDI’S

I’m so glad that there is an ALDI’S.
One of the reasons is that it saves you a trip to Chicago’s German stores. The quality is excellent, the selection is quite good. The only thing that I’m very upset about is that they no longer carry the cosmetic line. I thought that the selection was good and so was the quality. I used to purchase there shower gels. You literally had to go through boxes to find a particular type, god it was good. A lot of the time it was sold out. When I asked the store manager why they no longer carried this item she said that it was hard to keep it in stock. So they no longer would carry it! Now to me that’s a sign that it’s a great product. PLEASE BRING BACK THE BEAUTY LINE!!!

Favorite store to buy groceries

Aldi became our family favorite store to buy our groceries, fruits and vegetables, organic milk and eggs, cheese and sour cream, sweets, champaign and even beer and many more, you name it. Our baby got in love with their organic baby food (pouches): every time I had him pick from his variety of pouches we had at home he always chose the “little journey“ brand which is from ALDI!
Most of the associates are very kind and helpful, they are hard working people and always make you feel welcomed in their store! And their prices always beats the other stores prices and the quality is most of the time much better! I know for a fact if I shop at Aldi I save at least $5-$10 per visit and I shop there at least twice a week! That save us a minimum of $500 a year! I hope they will soon open more stores, so more people will have the chance to benefit of their great prices and quality of their products!
Aldi site should be updated with the weekly prices on all their products, not just on the special items! Also the scanning tool I found it not working as well. But you still deserve 5 stars!

ALDI APP IS AS GOOD AS THE STORE!

If you love Aldi (who doesn't love shopping quality for a lot less $$$), then you'll really love and utilize their app...
At a glance, you can see "Featured Items" for the current week and the upcoming week. Nice. You can also check to see what the "Wednesday Meat Specials" are, and if that's not enough, you can EASILY" add items to your shopping list along with the ability to "share" your shopping list (all items or just remaining items" via text message etc.
Since we travel, we love the fact that we can quickly get a list of Aldi Stores by distance, and click for directions to get there.
I add items to my Aldi shopping list as I run out ..and I arrange my list according to my most frequently visited ALDI store. Very easily customizable, too.
I've had several different grocery store apps on my phone but none compare to the ALDI app. ALDI really thought the app out well. It's, quick, easy, unobtrusive and useful beyond belief!
THANK YOU ALDI- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
