Lots of light and color. You draw on the black screen and watch the magic happen. I like how if you tilt your phone the lights move and expand, like lasers. There are also various settings you can change. The only fault is that it's fun for a while but gets boring quickly. Does what it is supposed to pretty well, however.

Speed is terrible!
What made Laser Lights a great app was the speed output you get from the lights. No where can I see this on iPad, but strangely enough I see this high speed light show much better on iphone3 :-/ .... Yeah guys, update :)b fix the light show on iPad so that the speed is faster, I want Laser Lights, NOT Lava Lights - , -

This app was okay for me. I got it when it was free, but paying two bucks for it is crazy!!!!! I don't use it that much, it gets kinda boring after a while.

Please consider implementing video out support, this would be fantastic with the Showwx+ and an iDevice. Control the surface of the screen, project light patterns into the sky with real lasers!

Best Particle App Available
I've tried many particle apps, including Uzu and Gravitarium 2. Most of these apps offer a cool experience, but this app (Laser Lights) is by far the BEST particle app I've ever experienced.
Laser Lights provides ten simultaneous points of touch-interaction (more than any other particle app I've tried), coupled with a gentle, unobtrusive use of the iPad's gyroscope to sway the "raised" light streams. This gives the user an abundant spread of light and color-shaping possibilities, a glimpse into a gorgeous, celestial world of swirling, breathtaking refraction, a glimpse into the inner-workings of what could very well be the actual origin of the pure, cosmic energy that shapes the very fabric of our existence.
Poetic gushery aside, this app rocks in all the best ways (Or, at least in ways better than all the other particle apps). If you have even a BIT of inclination to create and interact with wondrous, dynamic, energy-infused light sculptures, I highly recommend you electronically plunk down the whopping sum of two whole dollars, and buy this app right now.
A couple of tips: Tip 1: be sure from time to time to open Laser Lights' menu (small circle, upper-left corner) to access the camera button; use this to take plenty of screen captures of the onscreen goodness. You'll be pleasantly surprised with the spectacular images, many of which could (and should) be printed, framed, and hung in a space for all to admire and enjoy. I'm not kidding. Some of the screen captures are actually that impressive. Tip 2: each time you tap a finger on the screen, one color stream will appear onscreen where you tapped. Tap again for the next available color. Tap yet again for the next one, and so on. Keep your finger on the screen to keep a chosen color.

I got this app free... Not worth the two dollars. But it's great when you are trying to relax and not to mention the AWESOME pictures it can make. And little kids like to play with it too! My 1 and a half year old nephews love to play with this app! I recommend trying to wait for a sale where this app will be free and then get it. A great app!

This app is awesome. Tracers are 100 percent, the more fingers you put on the screen the crazier things get. If someone were to be on, say, LSD? you should probably just leave your iPod plugged in, you'll spend a good few hours lost in space.. The other visual apps from the same designer are just as cool too. Get em they're worth every trippin penny!

The Best!
I have quite a few of these type of apps and this one is by far the best. Stunning colors and movement. Has 6 settings but doesn't need much more- its simplicity is appealing because it allows you to totally get lost in your creations.

Fun but needs movie output
Fun app, but limited use. Needs to have a Record and Make Movie option so you can output your design as a movie you can export or share. The VGA out is a poor way to export your design.

I love the app, it's a lot of fun. I did purchase all of the developers other apps and they are equally great. I was disappointed that the developer said this app was free yet I was charged at the regular cost.
Go ahead and read the developers other app descriptions and you'll see there was supposed to be a promo for a free download. Regardless, it's great and beautiful.

Taking videos
I LOVE this app but I would like to be able to take video of what I'm doing also I would also like that if I tilt my iPad then the view would be different but other wise the app is amazing I love my nephue loves and so does my sister.

Not what I wanted
This is not what I was looking for....should have manual, automatic,music modes. Activation is only manual finger swipe/swirl. My kids thought it was great for 30 minutes, and now never use it. SAVE YOUR $2!

It's a very colorful and interesting app could be 5 stars if:
1. It put on an automatic laser light show and responded to music frequencies from iPod.
2. The holographic effect had a wider range. You can't turn your device more than half an inch otherwise the lasers position resets.
3. Ads are annoying. Remove them.

the update was great because the old version was completely pointless... however is it worth 1.99 absolutely not im not sure i would pay a dollar for it becuase although it is nice and cool to look at it doesnt do much. i believe that in further updates it will become alot nicer

not very practical. I downloaded it thinking it would respond to my music or soething, but you have to "interact" with it. I have it on my ipod still, but don't use it much. It's pretty and, I guess, somewhat "entertaining" when you're just passing 5 minutes though.

Not that different from Line Art....
It's kind of a fun program and it's only two dollars.... but it's really not all that different from their other program "Line Art". If you have that one (or one of the many other programs almost identical to it) you really don't need this one.

Typically the first thing I show someone on my iPad
I live in a third world country where iPads are barely known. When I have a chance, I love to open this app, set the ipad down, and say 'isn't that cool?' and see how long it takes for them to get going with it (and hypnotized by it).

(v 1.2.1) Loved it before the update....now it doesn't work well. White blob of light, no interactions, very little differentiation between screens, extremely slow response to menu selection. Iphone 3 user

Very cool app
I love the bright colors and the how it changes when you tap it and it would be awesome if it was doing it on its own.
I love watching it and then taking a picture of the screen and making it my screen saver.

Great Game
I think this game is pretty cool. I love to listen to music and tap the screen, making different patterns to the beat of a song I'm listening to. Its so much fun to see all the different colors and patterns you make. I recomend this to anybody. And hey, its a free game, you shouldn't be complaining. I give this a thumbs up!

Maybe its just me but my 2nd gen iPod Touch was freezin up. If thats just how the app is SUPPOSED to run, thats stupid. If it's just cuz of my outdated model, then consider my review as a 5 star one.

Great, but not for some
This app is only enjoyable if you have a iTouch 4g or iPhone 4 or iPad. I own an iPhone 3gs and iPod touch 2G, on neither of these products is the app enjoyable. It is very laggy and extremely slow. But ive tried it on the iphone 4 and it works great, please fix this app.
