Great app missing a common feature
Needs to save your setup info. As is you have to reload you pool info. Now, it's pretty easy but that'd make this a 4 or 5 star app.
Good info, easy to use. Just needs a setup save.

Major disappointment
Everything that the app description says made it sound like the perfect calculator. Exactly what I wanted. But unfortunately it does not do what it says it does. I told the app in settings the chemicals that I use. After entering the data for the pool and the pH level. It tells me how much sodium bicarb to use to raise the pH... in the settings I set to be using soda ash?!?
If it's not going to display the correct chemical that you have set then it should just display how much of all the chemicals instead of just one...
And I paid for it... I wouldn't use this app anymore if it was free

Great App But I got Charged Twice
I bought this app 5 years ago. Upgraded iPhone over Christmas and had to reinstall this app. It charged me again for the exact same app. This really pisses me off if you want to know the truth. Wouldn't mind a charge for a significant upgrade but nope same app. Bad business.

$5 for this. Ugh. Cmon people. This is so lame that I have to re-enter my spa details every time. Garbage.

Great app!
I used this app a lot when I was getting to know my pool route. I still refer back when I'm stuck with a head scratcher. I do understand the need to store info for one pool. I care for 23 and they are all very different. Great app! Thanks for the quick, simple, flexible reference!

Does Not Store Data
If this app work as it should, it would store all of the setup info and previous data, but it does not and therefore renders it inconvenient. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Plus it hasn't been updated in a few years. It has the potential to be a great app. I wish I could get my money and time back that I wasted on this app.

Works great but doesn't save my setup
The calculator works great for keeping up with my pool, but does not allow me to save my configuration which means I have to make adjustments every time I use it.

Great app, however needs setting upgrade
Love this app! Tells you exactly how to fix your problems! The only downside is it doesn't remember your settings. For 5$ it should remember your settings or have a feature for multiple pools for those that would need it.

Not worth $5
As good as the online calculator is…is how bad this app is. App does not save your pool values, also the chemical strengths are a preset value that is missing a few. Makes for a hard calculator to use when you have to spend the time entering values every time then have to do the math on your own after because it was calculated with the wrong chemical strength.

Great App WORTH IT
this app is incredible , I own a pool company and me and my guys use it as a great reference. It's quick and simple. It's the best pool chemistry app out there, I've tried others and this is the best.

Could Be 5 Star
The app doesn't store previous settings or values. You are better off using the website, as the app interface is awkward to use. Please update this app!

Please optimize for iPhone 5!
Awesome app- all the same data and features as the website. For $$$ it's an awful shame that iPhone 5 has been out for almost 2 years and the devs haven't added compatibility for larger screen. iPad screen res would be nice too while your at it...

Why can't it remember my pool settings

The best 1star app around
Ugh!!!! It is INFURIATING that this app won't even remember the size of my pool. How hard can that be???? I'd it would just hold the basic setting and the keep a history of my pool readings and adjustments, it would be 5 stars. But it p&)(&&s me off too much now to even use it. App FAIL.

I see comments regarding the inability to have user configured goals and settings fixed. Still (Aug '13) a problem. Obviously little if any support for this otherwise handy app.

Great app, but...
I've had this app for 2 full seasons and starting my third and it has really helped me understand and monitor my pool chemistry. I used the BBB method the first 1.5 seasons then switched to a SWG at the end of last season.
The calculations seem to be accurate. The interface is basic and slightly crude, but it works. My only beef is that it doesnt remember my settings from last test session nor is there any storage or calendar or note pad to keep track of previous settings or chemicals added. The funny thing is, it did keep my settings the first season. At some point, either an update or a change in iOS, it stopped holding the setup causing the bug the others have mentioned.
I've tried (and wasted $ on) other pool apps and this one is by far the best, even with it's limitations. Correct those weaknesses and it's an easy 5 star.

Not for spas!
I bought this based on a link from a spa forum and was very disappointed that it doesn't apply to spas. Volume can't be set low enough for starters. My mistake I guess.

Great app
I operate a service pool company. This is a very handy app and saves time by not having to look at charts or saturation indexes to determine the chemical dosages. It also calculates exactly how many bags of salt to add. I recommend this for people who maintain a lot of different pools. It'll save you a lot of guessing and confusion.

If you're a CPO, or know what the hell you're doing to the pool water (this app is for you) Freaking sweet. Worth every penny, and for all you complainers it just takes me a second to put the volume of the pool.

Garbage
Will not save settings as others have said. Tried to contact app creator,but email they have listed comes back as not a legit address. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!
Will be reporting a problem in iTunes and asking for a refund since it cost $5.

Thot I would Love It
Purchased despite other reviews hoping it would save info/ goals. It didnt. Have to input every time used. Hate it! Dont waste your hard earned money. If it saved the info from session to session, this would be an outstanding app. As it is, I give 1 star for effort.

Great app, still needs work.
Not sure it's worth $5 yet. I agree with many others here, resetting goals every time you use this app is a real pain, if your using this app for one pool. However, if you are a pool maintenance person by trade, I can see that feature wouldn't be helpful. So a suggestion, a branch so user can select biz or personal... Then a history log and memory by pool / customer so you don't have to reset everything. That might complete this app, and make it 5 stars, IMHO.

Great information, bad structure
As others have mentioned the app is great for getting invaluable info on pool chemical status. However it doesn't save your settings and this could make for a huge FAIL If you forget to re enter all your pool information before adding chemicals to the pool. I'd give 5 stars if this wads corrected. As a result I'm giving only 1 star so hopefully the development team sees it.

Great and Very Useful App
I've used the online verstion and this app is just as easy to use. It is a tremendous help in determining how much of a chemical to add. It remembers the settings etc for my pool just fine so I don't know what the other people are doing wrong. You just select the settings you want and it remembers them. This is a great app and defiitely worth the price.

Another great pool tool from TFP!
If you know anything about TFP and the BBB method you will understand what a great addition to your tool box this app is. If you don't see the benefits of this app, I bet you have more trouble with your pool then I do with mine.

Does not save your setup info or test results
The app gives you great information. However, where the development team missed the mark is that it does NOT save your setup info. Why would any person use a purchased app much less a free app that you have to spend 5 minutes entering setup info each time you use it. If they would simply update the app to save setup info, I would give it 4 stars. If they would also add named pools and save test results a by date/time, I would give it 5 stars and fully recommend it. Come on pool calc guys. Make your app as it should have been in the first place and you will have an awesome product.

It is a perfect app except for one thing it won't hold your settings you have to keep entering them fix that and I will give it 5 stars!

Disappointing
This app is not worth $4.99. It is mediocre to say the least and I really wish I had not bought it. I expected a well thought out and intuitive interface that allowed you to step through a set-up page for your pool details, followed by an input page that followed logical steps to help keep the pool in great shape. It is none of this. DO NOT BUY. Get the free ones.

Very disappointing
This app is complete waste of time and money. This is the kind of app that a computer science student throws together in one afternoon. It doesn't even store the dimensions of your pool. It doesn't provide a selections of chemicals. Absolutely useless app.

Very detailed
I was interested in this app for quite some time, but was reluctant to try it out for $4.99. Now at the for one week only sale price I did download it and can say that it appears to have most of the options one would want in adjusting the water chemistries. I particularly like that the results are presented in both weight and volume measurements.
