Description

SoccerMeter lets you track the passing and ball possession performance of your favorite soccer team at any level. Simply register player First Touch on the ball using your left thumb for one team and your right thumb for the other team. You do not have to take your eyes off of the action on the field to generate complete team possession and passing statistics just like you see on television for top professional soccer games.
These team statistics include:
- Pass completion percentage.
- Time of Possession and Time of Possession percentage.
- Number of First Touches and number of Completed Passes.
- Number and duration of “Strings” of consecutive Completed Passes.
- Scoring Summary including Time of Goal, Scorer, and Passes in build-up to each goal.
If you want to track team lineups, substitutions, formations, fouls, yellow and red cards, then go get one of those other soccer statistics apps. This app is intended for team assistants and dedicated fans who are serious about collecting useful possession/passing statistics while watching their favorite team. Coaches can then use E-mailed possession statistics to evaluate team progress. SoccerMeter can also be setup to instantly message game updates to fans who cannot be at field.

What's New in Version 2.03

Corrected minor bug introduced by Version 2.02 update. Note that rdheaney reviewer below likely used incorrect app settings for what he/she wanted. Such as leaving the Inactivity Timeout setting at default install value of 10 seconds instead of setting it to large value needed to have Time of Possession continue to accumulate with the game clock even when ball is out of play for longer than 10 seconds.

Exceptional App

This app is everything I could hope for as a coach who also happens to be a stats junky. I've been using this app since September of 2014. Although initially there was a learning curve and some bugs, I've now taken full advantage of the available features and the fixes and customer support has been tremendous, respectively.

Data collection is not good enough

This app would be great, if it actually collected decent data. After four attempts, there are large chunks of data missing from what it collects. e.g. in a 70 minute game, the time of possession only adds up to 48 minutes. It reports huge pass strings that never happened, etc. If it were more accurate, I would happily keep this app and use it, but it’s going in the bin.

Coaches preference

This app seems to give all the necessary statistics that our coaches are looking for. However, since downloading the new operating system iOS7, the app does not work.

Just what we were looking for

For advanced level competition, metrics concerning possession and pass accuracy are quite telling in the progress of a team. This app is simple to use, and provides us with post-match analysis to help chart how formations or player positioning affect ball movement.

Good app

Decent app considering its one of the only soccer stat apps rly nice 2 keep track of your game...... One thing i dis like is its a little hard 2 watch the game because u have 2 foucus on the app.
