The ParentVUE Mobile application helps parents stay informed and connected by providing day-to-day insight into their child’s academic experience. ParentVUE Mobile for the iPhone/iPod Touch works with the Synergy™ student information system in much the same way as the ParentVUE web portal, allowing parents to access near real-time information on assignments and scores, attendance, and demographic information. ParentVUE offers parents a single sign-on to view all of their children’s information regardless of school.
How to find District URL:
The ParentVUE app uses the same user login as the web-based ParentVUE portal. If you need help
please contact your School District’s Administration office for access URL and ParentVUE login information.

I just did the latest update and all of my student's grades, assignments, and current info disappeared. We use this for school and I really need that information back. It was a great app until I updated it.

Doesn't Work
Could not get the app to work. Followed set up steps but then tells me username and/or password invalid. When I use the same username and password on my laptop I get in with no problems.

Not a happy mother
So my first kid is the best!! He alway gets amazing grades, however my other child not so much. I tell him to get his grades up and not to live Yolo, this app keeps me posted on them. #notahappycamper

So annoying. I get emails to check the site, so in anxious there is an issue...but I can never log in!! What is the problem! I am using the correct info and case.

I've got the correct site for my school, I'm using the same username and password that I use on my laptop/desktop, but for whatever reason, every time I try to login it says invalid username or password. This is so frustrating. Fix this problem.

Better with update
Last two years using the program were inconsistent results. A lot depends on the entering of data, and it was difficult to resolve missing homework issues until after it was too late to correct with the school.
Which is somewhat antithetical to its intended use.
It became my opinion during that time it was a way to incorporate a reporting of the child's non compliance rather than an effective tool in correcting behaviors.
For example if a child is doing homework but not turning it in became an issue with the school as the information is used to allege that there is a parental inefficiency in not doing assignments at home.
However, I managed to screenshot the homework and manually email the staff that assignments were being worked on and completed and sent back with the child to narrow down that the flaw was the child handing over the assignment in class. For which the school claims they cannot force a child to turn in completed assignments and that they have to comply with voluntary assignment surrendering or they still have the absent grade. I cannot believe that this is an effective approach in behavioral encouragement for the child.
So I had to on several occasions attend class and make sure that the child got the assignment out of the bag and Into the hands of the instructor and still I was reprimanded by the school for attempting to facilitate a pattern of turning in the assignment to avoid parental participation.
This has been resolved in the update to allow manual upload of homework assignments.
This clearly depends on the assignments being available in the system in a timely way in the student agenda. If the assignment is uploaded after the period of time allowed for the change its not effective since the assignment wasn't available in time for the upload within the app. If that makes sense.
The unexcused tardies and absences are another loophole as there's no way for a parent to either contest the date or provide a written excuse using the upload feature, which is still absent for the attendance schedule. If there is inclement weather and if the staff counts it as unexcused that's it. It's unexcused and quite clearly there are options for inclement weather notations. If there was a way I'm sure for the school to indicate inclement weather on a day it should provide via the software an automated notation for attendance. Whether the child makes it to school or not depending on where they live they should be able to either request the excused a sense or tardy with a verified weather notation in place at the very least.
I'm not sure why those options would be in existence but not available for modifications on valid weather days within the app.
Updates on data are erratic and depend on staff being able to provide the information. However the child is still the only party at penalty and there is still an administrative policy that puts the child in a position of not having amenable changes with parent participation.
And that's what this is about isn't it? If the child and parent have no way of improving a situation presented by the data reporting it makes the app useless in the long run and not something to be embraced by the student and parent participating. If there's no benefit to the participation why would we continue the work? That's basic psychology isn't it?
If the intent is law enforcement related school to prison pipeline it serves it's purpose.
If the intent of the app is to assist parents, students and teachers in data analysis to improve the students school participation it still has a ways to go to achieve this.
By far better than having no app at all but really, unless I can use it as a tool to improve the child's education then it provides the same information as a printed report card.

Concerned parent
The school uses the app for their grading system so I'm required to use it, however it only works if the teacher update their work. The email feature works great, if they respond.
The finger print only works on certain schools or phones - don't know since the app support is as lost as some of the homework that doesn't always come home.
It still allows me to be able to hold my children accountable for their own assignments as their education is my priority.

Can no longer log in
This app was working perfectly until I updated my phone to iOS 8.3. (I have a 5S). Now I am getting error messages telling me the school URL is not correct, even though I selected it directly through the app. It works fine on my iPad, which I have NOT updated to 8.3). Contact with the developers has been terrible...no response. I'm hoping there will be an update soon because this has been a great tool up until this point.

No iPhone 6 Plus support
App works acceptably, however the lack of iPhone 6 Plus optimization over 3 months after launch is plain ignorant.
I know I'm not the only one using this app with a new iPhone 25% of the way through the release cycle, and on our behalf I'd truly appreciate a timely update to properly utilize the extra screen space on these newer devices.
Developers, please take note! This fix alone will bring my rating to a 5.

App has some big flaws.
I've been using the app for a while now. It's missing some key features. As another review mentioned, there is no way to delete messages or even keep them showing as "read". Every time I sign in it shows 18 new messages even though I've previously read them all. My son's school decided not to mail report cards this year. I couldn't find a way in the app to see his report card. When I signed in to the actual website instead of using the app,I found a tab specifically called report card that isn't present on the app. You're better off using your web browser and signing in to the website than to use this app if you're using an iPad.

Can't clear messages
Not sure if I am getting all messages. Can't delete old messages and can't see the new ones. Wish there was a way to be alerted to new content without having to check every class and subcategory. Could be great tool, but teachers don't update and not as user friendly as I had hoped.

Amazing app.
I am a student, but studentvue is disabled for some reason. This app has helped me keep track of my grades, and it has helped a lot. Very easy to navigate and simple design.

Fix Daily Assignments
The app itself is great, but ever since upgrading to IOS 8 the Daily Assignments page crashes and will not load. I've deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times to no avail. This is a MAJOR inconvenience. The rest of the app seems to be working fine and when it all works this is a great tool to keep track of my kid's homework and attendance.

Lots of errors
The email option does not work. I tried to email one of the teachers from the staff list, and it seems to default on the first person on that list. Then it just closes and not let me send the email. I am also unable to send Edupoint the email directly to let them know of the errors, so I am writing this review instead.

This app seems great but I can't find where the grades are listed. Pretty useless without being able to see the grades. All I can see are the attendance and student info pages. Any help with this would be great.

Problems using this week
We have been using parent vue for a while. It does exactly what we need it to do. Just wanting to report a problem. This weekend it put all the classes into one great big class. So all the assignments and grades are in one big list with no way to tell which class they belong to. Can this be fixed soon? Thanks

Even with update doesn't work right
On the computer this is a great program. On my iPad and iPhone everything is the same except the scores (grades on each assignment or test) are lumped into one mega grade for all 6 classes. I can not see the 6 class grades individually so I have no idea what they are. I can only use it to check individual assignment grades for this reason. Basically useless.

I use this for my high school son I can't say enough good things about this program. Kids today are never on top of what's due or how their classes are going now I'm able to talk to teachers directly and see their grades week to week...fantastic !

Since updating my app, I can no longer access the grades for either child. I can access attendance, but I'm kicked out of the app the second I click on grades. Please fix soon! Loved the app until now!

Crashes and I can't see grades
It sets the grades to semester 2, even though its semester 1... When I switch it it will freeze and then crash... EVERY TIME. Don't get this app, just go online and do it.... Or hope that your school doesn't use synergy parent vue.

Works (finally) but not very useful :-(
Final was able to log in after about a week of trying. Eventually used login info I used in the beginning but for some reason didn't work. Personally think the app was having issues because I was always told there was an error in my input, which in the beginning was not true because it eventually worked.
App would be better if I could see the calendar and could reload lunch account. Otherwise, not particularly useful. I always check those if I'm checking grades so I might as well use my computer.

This app works great provided you have a good strong signal in 3G. Works very well in WiFi mode. You cannot do your initial log in using the app. You must complete the setup from your PC, then the app will work seamlessly. Yes, there are some limitations, but remember the more features they include in any app, the more problems and software updates you will have to endure. Enjoy what is provided... It's a positive thing. If you have suggestions to the app creator ( your students school had nothing to do with the creation of this app and they have no control over the features or functionality. This app was created and controlled by a third party. Schools opt in to use the app/ program as it is provided.

Convenient
This app is convenient and easy to use. For those of you having trouble signing on, you have to use the URL they sent you in your email when you originally signed up for ParentVUE. It is not your school's normal URL. Hope this helps.
