Fun but not worth the money
I love this game it's addictive but there a some serious glitches that are getting really old. You can pass a level and then for no reason the next time you open the app it jumps back 3 levels. You can't go back and play level you liked and you can't skip ahead to levels you've already played. Really disappointing. Would love an update!

Poorly designed
The game as originally designed for a computer, and was great if played with a mouse. The iPad design was not tested thoroughly. It gets stuck on a level, the fireball changes to a plain one very frequently. When you fire a ball, it can jump a whole full row without hitting anything, and hits something you haven't aimed at. At times the ball changes color moments after it is released, without swiping to change the color, or is spontaneously fired even if you finger is not on it. I have a lot of patience, but no matter how much I try, it is of no use. Fix it, guys, otherwise it isn't worth the money

Writer of this game algorithm is a moron!
Others have said it already, so I'm adding my voice to theirs. This game s*%ks! Not because it is not a great concept, or because the design isn't cool . . . it's because the sadistic moron who wrote the algorithm made absolutely NO effort to consider the input device being used (a finger on a fickle iPad screen). Level 8-4 Khufu's Revenge is completely unbeatable, because you simply CANNOT physically fire rapidly enough. To the arrogant jerk who didn't adjust the speed accordingly . . . fix it ya moron!

Luxor had
I love this games but it's not for I pads it freezer up and or goes back to levels you beat start over. I won't make anymore mistakes wasting my money on the other games. Been burn twice with your game. I should check review before I got the game. Very sorry I wasted my money for this game and other Luxor.

Not like PC Version
This game is soooo slow. The PC version was so much fun. You used to be able to click on a target and the game would shoot immediately. Now you have to make two movements to shoot. Save your money :(

Now buggy and ad-ridden
I used to enjoy this for casual gaming, but just picked it up again for the first time in a good while, only to be assaulted by a series of ads. There's no in-app purchase to get rid of the ads. Simultaneously, the app has become buggy—tapping to fire not-infrequently fails to do anything. Such a disappointment.

This game is terribly unresonsive and half the time it does not work. Spending 5 bucks on this broken game was a horrible mistake. This "game" should be free or not even on the app store. This app is a joke.

Seriously? I paid $5 and I still have to deal with ads ALL THE TIME... I should have read the reviews first... the switching of colors of the balls is confusing and the game play is dated and kinda boring... get Zuma HD instead... Much better with better replay value.

Luxor is a lot of fun on the computer...on the iPad it stinks...marbles do not fire when the screen is tapped like they are supposed to do...frustrating...and now with ads!...for the PAID version!...fun!

Game is ok, but the ads are aggravating me
I paid for the game so it wouldn't have ads, but it does! Just goes to show the greed of the company. Touch is non-responsive at times, and you have to touch in a very small area at the bottom of the screen. Read a few of the reviews. Spot on!

Freezes
I can't finish game...freezes up on level 8...I wish u would fix game...shooter doesn't respond like it should....game needs fixed! Horrible control
Game was good on a computer but is miserable on iPad. Control is sloppy and inaccurate. It takes multiple taps to shoot sometimes and only once others. Poorly programmed game, do not waste your money.

Good game gone bad
I agree with the rest if the reviews it was a good game it used to be responsive and non glitchy now it's not even worth five stars until the ads are Removed after all this game was not cheap and furthermore make the game more responsive and less battery consuming soon as the next update offers all the above then u will get 5 stars for now 2 stars...

Do NOT waste a dime on this game
I love Luxor - that being said - I hate Luxor for the iPad. I would have loved to have been in the meeting where they were discussing porting Luxor over for iPad, and whatever MORON stood up and said "Hey! It's for the iPad! It doesn't have to be THAT responsive to touch, does it?" YOU'RE FIRED MORON!!
The gameplay is IMPOSSIBLE. On the computer, you click on the ball that you want to fire at and the shooter moves to that position and fires automatically. In this price of crap version, you first have to slide the shooter to a position and then shoot - if it shoots at all! This makes it impossible to beat the higher levels. This game is based on speed - having to slide the shooter into position and then shoot takes away any speed play.
Do not waste your money on this game. I hope that everyone that reads this review passes on this game. Didn't one person at MumboJumbo take the time to test this game? Didn't one moron at the company say "Hey! This isn't right! We can't charge our customers money for a broken game!"
Somehow I doubt it.

Bug
Hi,
It happened twice , the game crushes [ex. at final level (wrath of set)] , and then the game closes.
Then when I try to continue the game, it take me bake to the beginning of the stage.
Then I have to re-win some levels that I have already completed it.
It's wondering me that those levels show me that I've already won it.
This makers me nervous, because the final stage and especially the final are so hard that I wouldn't even think about replaying them again once I finish them.

Avoid, avoid, avoid
The PAID app is stacked full of ads! This is the reason you buy the app. The controls are unresponsive and you have to tap multiple times to make anything work. Do not spend money on this game. You can't go around taking people's money and giving them a game that doesn't work properly and then still cram ads down their throat.

Mumbo Jumbo makes some excellent games, including this one. However they have now inserted an incessant barrage of ads IN A PAID GAME! I will never purchase another Mumbo Jumbo game until they remove the ads from their paid apps.

Adds in a paid app?
How can Mumbo Jumbo justify charging us for a game, then still bombard us with adds. Avoiding the adds has always been one of the main reasons to move to the paid version of an app. Will not be making any purchases from Mumbo Jumbo in the future.

GET RID OF THE ADS!
This USED to be a good game. No more. Now it's one big commercial in a game I PAID FOR. I'm removing all Luxor games from my devices. Apple should ban this practice.

Speed changed
What did you do? Been playing for months and while it was a little slow, the new update moves so fast on screen that it actually blurrs. Wow! Still fun but now a different game.
Much better now, have no idea what happened or why it was speeding by, but I started a new game and everything seems to work and with good speed and graphics. I've re-rated.

Score Change
What I am doing now I hope will remove the last review. I have no idea what happened. I just know the game had changed, the scoring was different. I thought It might have been my phone, so I rebooted, but it was still the same. So I deleted the game, and re-downloaded it again. I thought there would be a message that I had already purchased this game, and that I would not be charged. But I received no such message, and I am probably sure it charged me again. (No big deal..I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of this game. I have played it many hours. A movie ticket cost me more, and I only get approximately two hours of entertainment alone from that.). The game was still playing at half the score, however. Somehow the game had changed.
This morning I looked at my phone and noticed that I had a GREEN icon as well as a BLUE one. The green Icon was labeled LUXOR AR HD. I know I didnt click on it when I purchased the game because I had typed LUXOR HD in the search box, and only the BLUE icon was showing on the apps screen when I re-downloaded it again. I may never know what happened. But I dont care. I tried the new green icon on my phone ( LUXOR AR HD). WOW! THE GRAPHICS ARE FANTASTIC!!! I love them. And the scoring was the same as the old game. There are also new screens to play. LUXOR AR HD is great.

Can't open the bought game
Just bought the Luxor game and although it's downloaded I can't access the game, it shows me the menu but none of the buttons are responding!!!.... Very very annoying!!! Waste of money AVOID buying this game!!!! So the music plays the menu comes but you can't play!!

Slow Alignment Shooter
Luxor HD is a poor rendition of the great fast-paced marble shooting desktop game. This tablet version has very poor shooting control. In fact, the fast-paced mouse "shooting" in the desktop version has now become a very slow-paced marble "alignment" game. The fun factor of shooting is gone in the iPad version. However, the graphics are very good.

Better with a mouse on my computer
I have LNG loved playing Luxor on my computer. I do not like the iPod version. I cannot seem to get the scarab to follow my fingers nor to shoot when I want to. I am going to stick to Zuma which allows me fast play an the frog shoots when and where I tap.

A must-have game for people, casual gamers and non-gamers alike
Luxor HD is an excellent marble-popper for iOS. I have played it on the iPad for months. However, I took a two-month hiatus. But now, I am back on this game.
Gameplay - 9.5/10
It plays out very, very well. To play, players must match three or more spheres by launching colored spheres to destroy them and prevent them from entering the yellow, green-capped pyramid at the end of the path. Players can also practice very difficult maps in Practice Mode, set out to defeat the antagonist of the game, Set, in Adventure Mode, or try to see how long they can last on a selected map in Survival Mode. Also, they can receive special "Achievements" after fulfilling certain deeds, such as completing a level without losing a life.
Sounds - 9/10
The game's sounds and music tracks are really great for a casual game. I like how when the spheres roll out onto the path at the beginning of a level, they sound like real spheres made out of marble. The music tracks really give the game more of an Egyptian-like feel. However, if players do not like the in-game music, they can always play music from their iTunes library.
Graphics - 10/10
Luxor HD has amazing, shiny graphics. The maps look much more life-like, with paths made out of glass (or any other material), reflections of spheres and scarabs on the ground, shadows of palm trees, sparkling gemstones, etc. I love how many colored sparks bolt out in random directions immediately after destruction of spheres. Fire a lightning ball at a vertical section of the path that is full of randomly colored spheres, and the effects will be much better! Plus, when spheres explode, I like their fountain-like star effects. That adds to the special effects of destroying spheres with a lightning ball.
Overall Rating - 9.5/10 ≈ 5/5
Luxor HD is a must-have for people, casual gamers and non-gamers alike. It will keep you playing for hours on end, until you either lose all of your lives, or you beat the final level.
One last note: Never ever give this app (and any other apps) a 1-star/2-star rating just because it crashes.

Addicted and loving it!
My body is stiff from sitting and playing this game for hours on end. Just when I clear a difficult level, I promise I will quit, then go to the next level. I like this game more than Angry Birds, if that means anything.

The most boring game ever!
I bought this game for $9.99 and I changed my mind as soon as I started playing it. I'd request a refund if I could.
Besides, the developer of this game, MumboJumbo, is so greedy that they requested Apple to remove StoneLoop! of Jurassica, a similar but a much better game. Sadly, Apple agreed and removed that game from the App Store.
I wouldn't help such a developer to get even greedier.

Having a problem with stage 12 when I quit on say level 3 when I go back to the game it takes me back to level 1 instead of what ever level I was on. Other than that I love this game.

Awesome awesome game!!!
I used to play this on the computer and was addicted then! This is the same game. The first one on my phone I could get into sliding something back and forth on the screen (usually it's very hard to do) Beautiful graphics, love the sound effects, the music is a little too dramatic for me so I turned it off, but that's a matter of preference. Anyway I love how there's 3 levels, each a very long adventure. I'm still a commoner but a chief farm hand LOL. Plus there's survival mode and practice mode. I love love love this game!!!

Great Game! Super Addictive!
I don't play a lot of games on my iPad but this is one fun and addicting game! The graphics and sound are awesome and the motion is very fluid. I enjoy playing this game individually but I really love that I can also play with my 3 1/2 year-old son - he loves it as well! Awesome game!

Won't launch
I have a 64GB iPad 2, wifi only. Would love to play this game. Installed it a while ago, but it won't launch. Tried restarting the iPad. Tried resetting the iPad. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still won't run. Don't know why. Just a warning.

Addictive
Easy game to learn. Hard to put down. If you are diciplined, this game can be a great way to fill in the time. Otherwise your whole day can be gone playing this. Much more fun than Zuma!

Great game!
I got luxor on my iPhone when it came out, and it kept me playing over an entire Christmas break until I finally beat it. Since I just got all of the golden eggs in Angry Birds and feel like I've maxed my stars out, I was hoping for something new, and ta-da--LUXOR HD! I was glad to see that this one lets you customize the controls, and I'm really loving all the new levels.

My New Favorite iPad Game
Luxor HD just became my new favorite game for the iPad. The gameplay is totally addictive; graphics are colorful; controls intuitive. There is a lot of depth so the price is right for this type of game that I'll be playing over and over.

Sweet Sassy Molassy!
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a marble-popping junkie, namely with the game that started it all; LUXOR. I bought LUXOR when it first debuted on the iPhone, and have not put it down since....until now.
LUXOR HD for the iPad is like taking the greatest game that ever existed and turning it up to 11. Improved art, fantastic effects, and exceptional game play keep my iPad glued to my hands.
