It failed in the most basic functionality - barcode lookup for actual products! Please refund my money!

Keeping track of wheels, looms, prep tools, fiber raw and finished. Became easy. Where it came is, is it borrowed, need repair, do you need more. Yarn, hooks, needles the info all in the same place....wonderfull

This is a perfect app for what it's used for. What makes it better is the PDF export. Easy to use and input values. I recommend it to all my friends.

Setup location, categories, then try to add (listing) my items and pressing '+' a keyboard doesn't appear to type in items. Went through other pages & same thing happened (no keyboard). 2 be tine happened having to delete app and reinstall & started over. I think I'm doing something out of an order that is locking up pages keeping me from entering. I've already setup all my items & hate to delete & start over if there was an easier fix. I'd rate a 4 if so. I'd rate a 5 if you could scan the item & it went straight to the lent or borrowed page. I'm having to find item pictured then go from there. Any suggestions?

Excellent app, quick response from developers to inquiry.

I spent 2.5 weeks starting in early December to catalogue and inventory 45 years of Christmas ornaments and decorations. More than that when you consider that I inherited both from my mother and my grandmother. Without this app, I was daunted by the enormity of the task. Now that the holiday season has passed, it was a breeze to find the containers to where the ornaments needed to be returned.

Above and beyond that, I am able to include information about the origin of each item, the current value, and to whom I would like it to go to should I no longer wish to keep it in my possession.

I'm going to use this app for more than just seasonal things. I've already started including all new acquisitions.

This is the perfect app for home inventory! The only thing to make it better would be a barcode creator built in to the app. App works great! Love it!

We live on our sailboat and I've been using this app for almost a year to catalogue and record where each item is stowed. Given the type of storage available, as well as how frequently we reorganize, this app is proving invaluable. What is frustrating is that the app has markedly decreased in speed while in use and frequently shuts itself down while I am taking a photo of an item. If I don't save the entry immediately upon starting that profile, I'll lose whatever I've recorded when app shuts down. Feedback from app developer is that I have too much memory dedicated to pics. Erasing / transferring pics did help but none of my other apps are impacted.

I am too lazy to get started just now, but reviewing the sample entries has impressed me. I think this is going to be a great tool for keeping track of purchases, warranties, items lent/borrowed and as an inventory for insurance. It appears to be simple yet well-designed to collect exactly the right information.

I'm giving it 5 stars based on what I've seen so far. I'll update this if that changes.

I like the fact that I can just take a picture of the items and put a simple tag. Don't have spend the whole day on the project.

This is a good app. But it has stayed that way. And no improvements have been made. I always wanted cloud based storage and the ability to log on with different users. But it never happened this is really for small or home use.

I had to make a renter's insurance claim, and only some of me stuff was entered into the app. This made it extremely easy to file claim on those items, and I struggled with finding the info on the rest. Lesson learned. All my stuff from now on is going in app... makes it easy to know how much insurance to actually carry as well.... things sure add up fast.

I came across this app a few years ago. I work in the food and beverage industry. I use this app to order product. I had at one time broken my iPod and settled for a Samsung. Big mistake. Apple is the only system with this program. Needless to say I've tried many other apps trying to find one that can do half what this can do. First of all no other app allows you to just turn the page, edit storage quantity with a touch of a - + or give you a shortage and empty alert for easy ordering. This app allows you do do far more then these and I am confident, anyone that tries this will stop there search for the perfect storage app. Thank you.

I have been on a search for an app to catalog my materials I use for work. This one was by far the best option because you can tag items as to where they're located and it tracks borrowers. I can print a pdf so borrowers can see what I own. I'm excited to start using the bar code and click pictures of my stuff! Finally, I'll be organized!

I found this app three years ago. I use it to help me manage the inventory for a summer camp kitchen that I manage. When I first started using it didn't seem like a lot of effort to get everything in. The second year though became very useful because I had pre-enter things the year before. By the third year I was really on target with taking care of my inventory.

I was even able to make new categories so that the dry goods that were stored over the rest of the year could be re categorized to their new location with just a few minutes work. About 100 items.

Before camp began this last year I was easily able to print a PDF inventory of everything that I had from last year, this allowed me to make a order for the new year very easily and very accurately.

I don't remember how much I paid for this app three years ago but it has been worth every penny or dollar I paid. Thank you KIWIobjects!

I downloaded this app because we have a small summer home and when we are packing to go their could never remember exactly what is down there. Charging cables? Swimsuits - which ones? Vitamins? Dress? Shoes? Paper towels? Bike helmets? Make up??? You get the picture. This is great, not only can you enter and group your items you can take pictures of them. Ex: laid out all workout pants and took picture so I would know exactly what is there. You can also you the quantity and shortage. I am a DBA and I love this app

Super useful for moving. I am selling my house and putting much of the stuff in storage. I do not expect to unpack for six months, so I need to know what is in each box, and its insurance value.

This app is great, especially being able tp photo each item.

One small problem. I have 458 item, over 400 with photos, for a total database size of over 180 mb. Neither back-up to iCloud or iTunes is working.

Problem appears to be in compressing the temp folder to an archive file.

I use this app to keep track of my threads, makeup, you name it.

This was a lifesaver during our move from the Midwest to Long Island. When we got here, we could actually find where we had packed all of our belongings.

This is a great app (full version) to keep track of equipment for youth sports. We use it for lacrosse and catalog everything - air horns, batteries, tables, measuring tapes, goalie pads, field paint, sticks, etc. It keeps us organized so we're not buying duplicate items that we already have. The location feature is useful if you store items in multiple locations, such as storage sheds at different fields. Items can be exported to use in spreadsheets. And the PDF catalog makes it easy to share the list with others on your youth board or coaches. And because it's an app, you can add items on site. I use it on a mini iPad and do inventory on the spot in our storage areas.

Import from lite version is very poor. I should not have to plug my iPad into a computer to transfer data to the full version.

I have been looking for an app to organize my teaching materials. This looked excellent, so I went ahead and purchased it without trying it first. Big mistake. After purchasing it, I realized that I could not assign multiple categories to the item. That was the whole reason I purchased the app! I need to be able to assign it to multiple categories and then search for what I'm looking for. If that feature was available, it just might be the perfect app. Bummer.

I like this app for organizing and maintaining items in basement storage. I like that when I loan an item out the app keeps track for me also. Once you get the hang of it, it's simple to use.

I do wish iCloud integration was better. I use this app on multiple iOS devices. Remembering to backup and restore databases in order to sync inventory over devices could be eliminated if the app would sync via cloud automatically. I'd even pay an upgrade fee.

I understand why it's setup this way. But I think given the choice, a lot of users might like this. Maybe in the options give the ability to sync via iCloud if you choose, or do the manual update.

Still a great app either way. Just something I wish it did.

Keep track of collectibles and items in storage ... with a description and pictures. You can add, delete, change, or move location of items ... add categories and storage locations as needed.

I am using this app for years, issues with new versions and devices, but this guys are right there to update and fix bugs on no time, thumbs up 100%

Update 2015-09-30: I can only sometimes add a new entry in a 25-item database when it crashes. Try to scan an ID: crash. Add a picture: crash. What happened in the last week to screw things up?

This is the MUST-have app for anyone wanting to:

-track things that move around,

-inventory dozens of musical, electrical, or computer & associated components,

- retain an individual item's information for warranty, insurance or later upgrades, etc.

-keep track of which of > 15 wet or dry foods three cats do or don't like (and have a printed report WITH label pictures to take to the pet store),

- have a nicely-formatted PDF report of your database (multiple views) to email, print, view, or CSV data files to import elsewhere.

Some examples of how I use this:

Internal Inventory!

I have over a dozen computers, mostly home-built, and once the case is closed, do I remember what's inside? Nope: but if I take notes & pictures, I can revisit the case virtually (I list each computer as a "Storage", as well as an "Item" inside that Storage, and each component) and can "see" what's inside it.

Incoming Purchase Processing!

When the Receiving department gets an new Item, the manifest/invoice can be saved as a photo Note, plus purchase date/cost serial# info, etc.

I have a Category as "Incoming New Purchases" and Storage as (wherever it's being processed). A custom company label is affixed, photos taken, then the department that's getting the item is set as the Category. When it's installed, another photo Note is taken.

Hierarchical Storage!

For logistics, I can locate a TV, computer server or peripheral in a building, on a floor, an office, a rack, a shelf, as well as have a picture of it sitting there. If it moves, I can change locations in an instant.

Storage Locations!

I create each hierarchical location as a Storage, then nest the underlying locations: rooms within floors, racks within rooms, shelves within racks, etc. so you can be very specific about where something is located.

Barcodes!

The barcode scanner rules! I usually scan the barcode serial/model numbers, and copy/paste them as "Notes", and use the ID field for my custom label field. For awhile I generated custom barcodes from my Brother labeler, and a quick shake of the iPhone (turn option on) will activate the bar is scanner so...no typing to recall a previously entered Item. Or easy to add a new Item with that ID code at that point.

Moving Inventory!

Our dual home offices are moving soon, and most of it is already logged. You can create a "Storage" as a box (flip-top, cardboard, tub, etc.), pick a name (Box-01), take a picture of the box, and use the Notes to take sub-inventory of, as well as multiple pictures of the contents.

Loans:

I've only used this feature a few times, but being able to enter who I loaned an Item to (with when loaned & when expected back) + their email address is very helpful.

While some desktop apps / databases might have more power, bells, or whistles, this app collects the data I need in a nimble, portable manner.

One of my most necessary apps, and it all works so well. Simple yet all encompassing. Have had no problems at all. Wife tells me she is impressed as well.

App is relatively easy to navigate.

Some suggested improvements - better camera option. Pic cuts off part of the original pic and cannot adjust. Would also like to take several more pics per item...avoid writing down serial numbers etc.

Would be nice if there was a URL location for where to find the item. I have logged them in the notes section for now. Would also like to change from Dollars to Euro

I use it for managing records for insurance. Find it easy to use and very useful.

I label boxes, "long box" and "box 1", "box 2", etc, and enter the items in the database as I place them in the box. TIP: it really helps to utilize the speech-to-text feature! I rarely have to edit, and when I do, I get a bonus laugh over what it thinks I said.

I have a suggestion: When scanning the code, it would go smoother if the item was automatically entered without the need for us to enter the name separately. Grocery Gadget and My Movies have this feature.

I think it's awesome that we can take a snapshot of the individual items. There are a couple of items that benefit in photos, since I have no idea what in the world it is, until I look in the box ("antique massager? What the heck is THAT? Oh! That's what it is! The thing that looks like a red rolling pin!"). We can also take picture of the storage items like boxes. If descriptive isn't enough, we can see what it looks like or see what is in the storage place.

I love the feature that allows you to nest an entire storage place inside another storage place. This is going to come in real handy after I move!

This app also comes in handy if you have items in storage. You can send your hubby to the storage and tell him where to go! (Now, now! Be kind!) "It's in the blue box marked '497', and it's in the red pouch! ... Yes! ...My nail clippers! I need them NOW!"

If you are out of town or overseas and need sensitive information from documents, you can call a trusty friend and tell her exactly where to find it! I can't say enough about this app! It's a little tedious at first, but it gets better as you use it! Enjoy!

Unbelievable tool. When my father died he left no information regarding any of his possessions. I've inventoried all of my hunting and reloading equipment and accessories. If my son and wife decide to sell off my hunting and reloading accessories and equipment this information will be valuable for them to determine worth and application.

So I liked the Lite version until I purchased the Full version. It appears that it does NOT automatically transfer the items over and for two days now, I'm trying to export/import the file over without success. I'm ready to throw my iPad out the window!! I'm so frustrated!! Also, I had to write this up several times, b/c it does not tell you the Nickname is taken until you hit Send, then you lose everything you already wrote....

I really like this app. It has everything I need. The only problem I am having is the quantity area. If I go to the quantity area to look at it, it will show a minus 1 and I did not want that. So I gave to go back in and change it or my total on inventory is wrong.

I tried many inventory programs before finally settling on this one. I liked the way it works so much I purchased it. I am by no means anal but if you want to you can really get down with this one. What I like the best, is I can access any the stored inventory items on all my devices because they're all synced I just wish it would sync automatically rather than having to do it manually every single time. If you make a mistake and forget to save or synchronize on let's say device (A) and you do some inventory additions on another device (B) and then sync it on (B) then all the data you gained on the first device (A) is lost. other than that its the only downfall. But it's well worth purchasing.

I had to look at the app from a moving box point of view - this App was perfect. I used "Items" as a moving box, e.g. Box 33 - Records (LP). I used Storage Places as the rooms at the new home, e.g. Bedroom, Hobby Room, etc. Being a budding OCD, before closing a box, I'd take a picture, then write the Box # and Room name on the box. Under category, I entered: 1 (need immediately); 2 (will need soon); 3 (open eventually); 4 (store for now). You can also add $ amts for each box. Then, under "overview", the PDF option gives all sorts of lists. P.S. We just packed Box # 113! 🙀

The design is simple, and I felt easy to use, however, the camera bar code reading functionality will NOT work on all bar codes you dish at it. The size and clarity has to be ideal for the camera to pick it up. Beware before buying the full edition, try out the free version first.

Helpful app after you figure out some of its features. Poor to non-existent guidance in finding features...needs a good tutorial.

Bar code readers works but our food items have to be typed in manually.

This is a fabulous app. It allows you to keep records of all sorts. I could never do without it.

Would be great if you could edit database names.

I use this app to keep track of all my crafting supplies. It allows me to can categorize each item and define where it is kept. It is so easy to forget the stamps and dies I have, so before I purchase anything, I check my inventory to make sure I don't already have it. It is also a great way to see how much investment I have made in my card making/scrapbooking. This is a wonderful app and I strongly recommend it to all.

Originally I bought for my collection and it worked perfectly, then I added my wines. You can organize your way and you can record and export one or all items in pdf. You also have control of what you have in total value and low quantity of items.

I fell I can finally get a grip of doing EOY Inventory with ease. Would however like to be able to print out just the barcode to place on multiple items. also would also like to work on with >CVS on my iMac then upload.

I have tried many of these kind of apps and most of them just plain were too flashy. I just need something to show where and how many and easy to use and this app is perfect for that.

I work in law enforcement, and after seeing countless burglaries and thefts where victims were unable to provide important information about their own stolen property, I went in search of a fast, easy way to catalog my items or value for both personal records and insurance/police purposes.

I have been using this app for over a year now to inventory sold goods but it seems that I have reach the max capacity that this app is capable of.

Now every time I tried to add a new item or photo the app crashes. Only reason I am still using it is because all my data is already in it.

Needless to say I am not happy with being stuck with this.

Still I say that the format of this app is great just its capabilities are not up to par.

This app is exactly what I was looking for. With my home base AMSOIL Buisness I stock a lot of different products, some are with me all the time, some are in two other warehouses.. With this app I am able to see what I have, how much of it and where and what location has what. Also Gives notification when inventory is depleted.

We're planning on being parents and have a lot of hand-me-down items and things we have collected for our future child. We need to know what's left to buy and so we needed to make an inventory of what we already have.

This app was perfect for inventorying the items in our nursery and we were then able to give our families an idea of what to buy for our shower. Fab!

I like it, it's simple and easy to use. I just wish they had a place for serial numbers on the equipment. And just recent I have it on my phone and iPad and I back one up to cloud but the other device isant seeing it, it sees an older verson. They do get back to you quick when you email them so I'm hoping!

I live this for organizing items for different/multiple events, and where /who has what (and where it's currently stored so I can find it). The " add a picture" feature is great to quickly see an item. Nice work and LOTS of variety in options, ( like the Backup and "export to eMail")

I got this app to do an inventory of my business. It is very easy to use & has ability to name & categorize items. Also has feature to price item & gives overview with totals. I able to get a PDF catalogue file of the final inventory with picture!s! It's an awesome app for home or business!

owning a home recording studio , this app allows me to log all my serial numbers, date of purchase and insert a photo , extra notes ,current value and also sums totals. It calculates from date of purchase to today's date on how long you've owned it. Set up locations on where or what room it's stored in and many other things. love it

I love this app for my small jewelry business. I am able to do my inventory on this app, very detailed, yet simple to use. Jewelry business has many small parts to create a piece of jewelry & this allows me to track those parts from purchase to final production as well as alerts for shortages. I love being able to upload a copy to my iCloud. My iPhone crashed recently, once iPhone was wiped clean & apps reloaded, all I had to do was download my data saved in iCloud & my inventory/data was restored to my last backup! The only draw back to this app is there are no plans to make a compatible desk top or laptop version of this app...you have to email it in CVS format to your desk top...if you have a limit on file size for emails, it can be a challenge to get you data to your desktop or laptop for other uses!

I have found this app to be very useful. I would like to see a desktop version. I already have pictures of items for insurance purposes but having to put all those pictures on my phone in order to add them to each item can be a long process. A desktop version would make this process go a bit quicker.

I really love it, being an artist with so many things in my store and everywhere, many kinds. Of brushes and colors of different manufacturers... It was a disaster before I use iStore.

Thing I would like to have in addition is the same program to Windows XP to use it on my laptop. Also I would like to backup dates to Evernotes.

This app has been amazing! I own a small cheese shop and specialty food store and this has made inventory soooooooo much easier. It's been less of a chore for my employees to keep up with inventory. No more worrying and hassling with papers. Plus I can see when everything was updated last! Thank you for this!!!!

I love the app. Just wish syncing between different devices or merging databases from different devices was possible. I would even love the opportunity of a desktop web interface that would allow for database merge or syncing. I have been using it on two devices and now having hard time merging the data. Other than that: no gripes at this time

Been using this app for 2 months. Great for all your inventory. I use it for used auto parts that I sell at swap meets. Now I know what I have to keep and what to sell. Been looking for an app like this for years. Easy to use. Every thing is there. No need to import pictures or other info from other programs to make it work. I bought the iPad just for this program. There is nothing like it from Microsoft. Plus it's inexpensive. Easy to back up on iTunes and you can transfer the data from the iPad to the iTouch or iPhone. So you can change inventory levels on the spot at a swap meet.

I loved the lite version of this app so I bought the full version. The app says you can import the database, but when I tried, it wouldn't work.

THe directions talked about connecting my device to my computer. When I did that, it still didn't work and it completely messed up the apps across my devices (I don't want ALL apps on ALL devices.)

The directions on how to import were poor, and now my apps are messed up and I still can't get the full version to import the database.

This is like the best app in the world. Getting this app is like a dream come true I almost cried. I'm total ocd add type can't keep track of my stuff. It's almost perfect just needs to add subcategories and yeh maybe the barcode should auto enter the product name. Anyway I'm totally in love with this app, please keep updating 😭

I work for a major telecommunications company and have lots of tiny parts to keep in stock on my work truck. This app allows me to quickly take inventory and see what parts I'm low on or out of and put in an order to my warehouse. It also allows me to see who I've lent tools to and know who to hunt down when they don't bring them back.

I bought this app to help me make an international move . Got to tell you , this saved a LOT of my time . Packing was very organised . Listed a few items as shortage and made purchases before the departure too . Great app indeed ! Love the way you can save to iCloud and export to PDF with pictures and price . Makes customs clearance at the airport a breeze ..

This is a useful app if you are like me and want something that will 1) inventory all the crap you have in your home, 2) give you some method of itemizing losses due to theft or fire, and 3) allow you to include a picture of each item.

The drawback is the Herculean effort that will be required to inventory your house. This will be a six month project for me and I'm just going for the big stuff. But if you were truly filled with lunacy, you could inventory everything down to the paper clip level of detail because the system allows you to nest locations within locations. For example, you could say your green paper clip is in the blue cup inside the second drawer in your desk in your office.

I tried another app along this line and it was fine but I like this one better. Here are some features I'd like to see added:

1. Ability within an item to link to or embed a locally saved file or PDF. It would be so handy to have scanned or downloaded user manuals right inside my items along with the photo. If I need a user manual for some random piece of technology I either dig through my box of manuals in the garage or Google for one. It be much easier to have these just a tap away.

2. Better icons or several icon templates to choose from. Just not a fan of the graphics.

I wanted to track Hard Drives, and this application will read the long barcode that is the serial number of the drive. Saves me entering them. Tack purchase date, and where it is located.

Wish I could also scan the make and model, that would make it 5 stars.

MyStuff2 would not scan the barcode, where most scanner apps would recognize it.

Been using it the App for a few days. Easy to use and fairly comprehensive BUT potential buyers should be aware that the App does not allow for hierarchies i.e. sub-categories within categories. The company makes another App which does allow for this. I found this out after inputting many hours of data. I would have appreciated a brief note on the App description making buyers aware of this, thus the 3 star rating; otherwise, it's a pretty good App.

I really enjoy using this app. It definitely helps me keep my things organized at home and for my small business. It would be nice however if there was the option of creating your own QR and barcodes so that way this inventory app could really be taken to the next level as well as become one of the first if not THE first app to offer its user the ability to create various types of barcodes (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc) so that way it can truly be used for small business as well. It would also be nice if there was a way to sync with other devices so if this app were used by different ppl for a small business then all the devices with this app installed could have the same data as well as get updated regularly when an item is changed, deleted or added, etc so everyone working is aware of how much is in stock and the like. Basically what would be nice i is if this app were really cranked up even more then it already is by making it into a truly powerful business app that could not only keep track of inventory, but could also keep track of items sold with detailed info while also having the ability to automatically subtract the sold item(s) and there value from the inventory, etc. essentially turning the app into both a powerful inventory type software and a item/barcode tracking system. Overall a very nice app indeed as is I just really would like to see this app grow and expand if the developers of this app are willing to do so :).

Woodworking is my hobby, and I have a shop at my house. Over the decades I have filled the shop with countless tools and accessories. I have long wanted a way to keep track of what I have, and what it cost. This app fills the bill in spades! It is simple to use, but nonetheless very complete. It does all I expected, and then some. If anyone needs to keep track of myriad items, this is the app to use.

I purchased this app to keep track of my consultant inventory. I immediately deleted all the data the app came with and was able to start right in by adding categories and then entering in different items. I love that I can take a photo so easily of my items.

I would love a field for wholesale price so I can compare what I paid for an item to what I am selling it for.

This is a great inventory tracking tool and it has been such a time saver for me! There is no more counting and rekeying of data. If indeed a report I just export it from I storage. I tried a lot of different apps and this is the best inventory tracking tool I've found hand down.

I really love this app! I use it for my "stockpile" inventory. I coupon and red to keep track of what I have. I love that is has the categories and I even put a price. In notes I put what a paid so that I know the lowest price for when I shop. I highly recommend it! Wish I could buy this app twice because I'd like to keep an inventory of my kids toys separately but I think I'll just add in. Thanks for a great app!

"Ive been using the bought version of this app for about two months I think, anyways I have well over five hundred different items on it and it is working great, no crashes or anything. I deffinately would like the option of making a separate list from the out list. Other than that its great. So far ive included my home inventory, my movie database, my grocery list, all i can say is keep up the great work guys. Well worth the money.

Just purchased full version after trying ''lite'' and find that it is intuitive, quick and has features I need. Using it to inventory collection that I have. Ability to take photo with phone camera and enter details of item is much faster than doing same with laptop DB program and separate camera. One caution: BEWARE, items entered in free version are erased when you upgrade to paid version.

This is the best inventory app available. I tried them all, trust me.

I have been in search for an at home inventory app for a while and this is by far the best one. You are able to organize into subcategories and even upload .csv files! I had trouble trying to figure out out to upload the files and within hours of emailing Kiwi Objects, they were able to help me out and even fix the problems in the file I created. The app is really simple to use and with amazing customer service like this I will be sure to use Kiwi Objects apps in the future.

I love this app! It has helped me organize all my inventory. I can take pics of the item, identify its value, add a description and locate it in storage, and I can even define where it is the storage. It's a freaking great app. I use this app everyday. If you have a lot of stuff or inventory, this the best and perfect app to do the job. It's worth every cent. Get it.....Now!

This is the only time I've written a review for an app. This app is that good though! Saved me literally hours on a work project and my boss was thrilled with the slick CSV file that this app exported. I also plan on using this for my home to inventory our posessions because... why not?!? There are countless reasons you may need an inventory in the future; theft, fire, curiosity.

This is a great app and I highly recommend it for anyone who only needs it for personal use. There is no functionality to share data and update data from multiple users on multiple devises. I would love to see the ability to have an account which would enable others too see inventory, sync up with the data and edit the inventory as items change.

Again--- Great app if you do not need to share this information with multiple users or multiple devises
