I guess my last review got deleted
I left a 1 star review after the major update because it was beyond buggy and missing the QOL features the previous iteration had. Fast forward to now, and while most of those features have come back, it’s still a little buggy, and you’re forced to create an account to save info to quickly access airports. The typing is clunky, and the ads are aplenty. I’d give 3 stars but I’m doing 2 cuz my last review magically deleted itself…

Oh my!
This was once a marvelous travel-related app. Not sure what has happened, but now pretty useless. All great features are now gone! For example, can no longer add trips via forwarding airline confirmation email (competent developers don’t remove valuable features!) User interface has become way too convoluted and confusing to simply add flights. Again, what are the app’s developers thinking? Unfortunate to see a once great app destroyed!

Map sometimes doesn’t display
In the past, I could always see the maps but in the latest versions, it only shows the flight map when the plane is in the air. I’d like to see it reversed to the original. I’ve used this app for many years. It’s always been the best of live updates and notifications. But the past year the app has been terrible.

Collects sensitive data!
In general, it works. It is a little bit slow with updating flight status. I must say often I get the notification that the plane has landed or the departure time has changed 5 to 10 minutes later. But really concerns me though is if I want to add the flight to my calendar, I need to give full access to the calendar. The option to just add events only is not accepted. If I gave full access to the calendar, the app respectively, the developer can read every single entry in my calendar whether it’s for business or private with all notes and everything.. So be aware!

Barely does what it’s supposed to do
I use the app for work purposes of tracking flights for groups and the app won’t even let you add active flights to a trip to track. Continue to get failed to update errors. Emailed them and it says they are aware of the bugs but the app hasn’t had an update in months.

Limit to non-stop only
The old app only showed non-stop flights. Some “upgrade” added flights that share the same flight number in the search results which are often meaningless as usually there is an aircraft change at the stop over airport. If there was an option to limit searches to non-stop flights only I would pay to eliminate the ads.

Improvement tip for o a 5 stars.
1- When tracking a flight and tapping on the Airline field can you make it to show the previous 3 or 4 airlines tracked ?
2- Do your best to have the notifications ( Flight take off, departed, in the air and most important when delayed, landing and at the gate ).
After that I’m pretty sure everyone is going to get what we had in FlightView years ago.

Trashed my flight hit
I went to track a flight today and was prompted to log in. When I did, I discovered my over 15 years of flight history was gone. Apparently none of that was imported after the app was updated. No warning, just gone. The app is very clunky and slow and notifications do NOT work. What trash.

Back on Track
I had some problems with this app last year - mainly with notifications not appearing promptly on my iPhone. I noticed it was recently updated so I thought I’d give it another try. Well, everything seems to be working fine; in fact, I tracked a recent flight using this app, another flight tracker, and the airline’s own app. With all the settings the same, Flightview was the fastest to display changes to the flight, and the only one to consistently send alerts to my phone. Good work! I’d used this app for a long time and I’m glad to see it back on track!

Notifications not working
I have been using this app a lot recently to track flights. For the past few years, this app has been working well with me. I was able to receive notifications and everything. Somehow the notifications won’t work in the app, even from the FlightView Plus app that I have upgraded to a really long time ago. This app hasn’t been getting enough updates recently. Is there any way that someone can look at this app and fix this, please, so that the notifications can work again???

I have been an active user of flight view for years, as an airport worker and avid flyer use to be extremely helpful in my operations in ATL. But sadly with the updates that keep happening, and the huge amounts of ads that continuously pop I have found other apps that fit my needs. RIP FlightView

Still So Frustrating
The sudden account requirement that wiped all my local trips was absurdly counterproductive and painful; lost years of trip history in the name of "ensuring you don't lose your data"... Awful, paradoxical design choice. I used to be able to add flights to any trip without having to extend the trip's dates, this is no longer the case, and it's annoying... I really wish I could just track flights without creating a trip to hold them. This was the gold standard flight tracker app for years in my opinion, and these days it feels higher friction and less friendly than it used to. Like, why do I need a "profile" for my flight tracking app? This isn't social media yall, it's unnecessary and serves no apparent purpose. Disgruntled but haven't yet found a great alternative.

Not as good as the old app..
So I’ve been using this app for at least 10 years. I work for a local limo service and we do airport trips so I track incoming flights. I even paid for the app (flight view Elite) I deleted the app on my phone because I was getting an error message little did I know when I went to download it again I got this current version. Not even sure where to begin, but my question is how can you take a perfectly good app and basically kill it? whatever this is just doesn’t cut it and honestly, I wouldn’t mind paying a monthly fee if it was actually functional. To the developers of this app, if you really want a clue about what users are saying, Look no further. bottom line this app is garbage very disappointed!

Downgraded to being useless
For years I was able to rely on the “Pro” version of the app for amazingly quick and accurate information updates to gates, departure and arrival times, etc. For many months, the app has been brain dead, not showing updates in a timely manner, showing NO maps at all, etc.
Will be switching to a competitor’s app and gladly paying them $299 lifetime price of a life subscription for an app that actually works.

You can no longer filter to only show nonstop flights?
I had been a loyal customer of this app for 10 years but I may have to discontinue subscribing. I work for an airline and use it for commuting between cities. Unless I’m missing something, the quality of this app plummeted starting sometime around 2025. I can no longer find anything in Settings allowing you to automatically filter searches to only show nonstop flights between city pairs that you enter. Hey Flightview, if you still have this feature, please explain where it is and I’ll improve the review rating.

Well, after several updates, this app is still broken. It's sad because it used to be the very best app. For example, tonight a flight left Boston for Dublin at 4:57 PM but the app never recognized that it took off and it still says it's scheduled and that's why I am not getting notifications. Awful
I was a constant user of this app and loved it functionality - spot on. Flight info - fast and accurate. Now, I’m sitting in a gate 30 mins past my departure time. With FlightView giving no info. That’s just one example. Ads pop up, cover the entire screen and freeze. You can no longer forward your itinerary to import into the app. Plus, they gave no notice the app was changing and that years of travel info would be wiped out. This app is a text book case I. What not to do.

I’ve used this app for years. It was robust and reliable. Then it stopped working so I updated to the new version. Ads have taken over and they don’t end. Used to be great
This app used to be great, but is now garbage. Here are the things you will fight:
When you create a trip it fills in a trip name using today’s date, which you have to delete character by character before you can name the trip. Dumb.
When you add a flight to a trip, it defaults to using today’s date as the flight date .. utterly ignoring the trip start/end dates. And it does the same for the return flights .. even though it would make the return flight leave BEFORE the outbound flight. More dumb.
It doesn’t have the sense to fill in the airline from the outbound trip for the return trip. More dumb.
You CANNOT edit a flight once entered. So if you get the date wrong it’s start over time. VERY DUMB.
You CANNOT lookup a flight and then decide to create trip from it .. you have to go create a trip and then look the flight up all over again.
There just isn’t any thought given to real world use..

This was a favorite app I used for years. Now it’s worthless! No tracking notifications, almost impossible to enter flights/trips, and incessant ads that last forever! You ruined a wonderful thing! So dissatisfied!

Took a dive
This used to be a great app. Then one day they logged me out and then I had to create a mew account because I was not able to recover my password. The password recovery email was never sent. Now it just trash. It ports wrong data to the calendar and other times it just fails to do so.

The team has given up
Have been a user for almost 20 yrs if not longer. Has always been a reliable, easy to use, non-frill flight tracking app. But all have lost since the last “major” release. All my saved trips were lost, flights in new trips are ordered randomly, searches will miss flights, the font and placement are inconsistent and amateurish. Navigation back and forth will lose information between screens. The feedback email account was once non functional. They may have had a major facelift or reorg behind the scene, but the app seems to have given up on even the basic use ability, so seems the organization. I offered help but heard no response. Sad I will have to ditch the app and move on.

Ruined!
My spouse travels internationally for work quite often so I paid for the Elite version years ago (no ads) because I relied on this app to track his travel. This new update has ruined the app. I get ads that need to run foreverrrr before I can close out of them and they pop up at the worst time. Why was I not grandfathered in to no ads from my previous purchase? It’s not giving me notifications for trips or flights, and it’s not even updating correctly - flights that have already finished are still showing as scheduled. Immediately deleting and looking for something reliable. Why would I pay you AGAIN to get rid of ads when the app doesn’t even work as intended? Used to be one of my favorite/most used apps but this is just junk now. Do not recommend.

DO NOT UPDATE TO NEW VERSION - all your previous trips will be deleted
On the app, it states that previously saved trips on the older version will be imported into the new version one you update and sign back in. This did not happen. I am in the transportation business and had nearly 100 if not more upcoming flights saved for clients through Jan 2026 - all of them are now GONE. This will take hours and hours to re-enter manually. Yes, I’ve had a paid subscription for years now. Once I alerted them to the problem, I received and email stating they are aware trips are not importing for some users. This should be stated on their site as a warning to other users that need to update. If I had been aware this was a known risk, I would have waited for the bug to be fix before updating to the new version. If you use this for business or for a large amount of bookings - be aware of the risk you’ll lose all your upcoming saved flights.

Old app was better
This NEW app is terrible! I’ve used the old app for years and love it. It is clean and simple. No ads to interrupt. This one has several flaws.
1. When you want to check the previous flights of your tracked plane you can easily step through each flight for 1 or more days. This is just like the old app. You can hit the “Back” button to step back… OOPS! NO! It takes you all the way back to your original flight. With the old app you could step back one flight at a time. And if you try to go back through the history you have to wait through an ad again.
2. When entering flights to a trip it does not remember anything from your previous entry. Sometimes I want to track several flights with the same origin & destination. With the old app I could just hit the search button each time and it would list all the flights again. With the new app I have to reenter everything each time.
3. The type is larger on the new app but when the data is too long for the screen it truncates with no way to scroll to see it. It’s especially frustrating when you want to click on the info button for an airport that has a long name. There is no way to reach the button.

Once Best Now Worthless
I’m very disappointed in the recent upgrade process and the intrusive and deceptive ads and I’m decreasing my rating from a 5 star to 1 star. I tired a half dozen times to change my password per their new instructions, but the ads kept me from getting to the necessary checkboxes. . On several occasions the ad simply said click here to continue and off I went into never never land. The management of Flightview has made a severe error in this process. I would have gladly paid to subscribe had that been an option. After multiple attempts I finally deleted the app from my phone knowing that it would erase 20 years of my past trips. I was hopeful that my backup phone which had the same app and data would retain my trips after reinstalling the app on my main phone. This turned out not to be the case and I've now lost all 20 years of my data. The app support info even has a “I require my legacy trip data” option but the email to support is now no longer functional. I’m now in the process of finding another app and starting over.

Disappointed…
Update: I’m so disappointed. I’ve never had to login to the app before. I had a login for them with Apple saved, so I tried that when it was forcing a login, but none of my flights are there. I think my entire history for years is gone.
I’ve used this app for years, and I’ve never minded the unobtrusive banner ads at the bottom of the app. I’ve even clicked on them periodically to help out the developers. But, now, video ads for some of these awful games are taking over. I’m trying to look at my flight information, and they’re popping up and taking over my screen. Not cool. I may have to start looking for an alternative.

No longer what it was
I left a wonderful review for this app years ago…I’ve used it for more than a decade. The past year it was not working properly (no notifications even though that was turned on always) then a few weeks ago I was locked out and required to change my password to log back in. Once I did that I found that the App had updated and made changes without any warnings - and that I had LOST a decade of flight tracking data. I have emailed to the corresponding email address to try and remedy but continue to get “no record found for the domain” auto responses. The new update and look of the app does not fit the screen and omits flight information that was previously included. All this and the loss of data is a deal breaker for me and I will search immediately for a replacement App.

Bad app updates - company doesn’t care!
1. In the recent 2025 months the old app account was disabled or removed and a new account had to be made. The company didn’t inform us before the deletion was done and didn’t inform about making customers aware that they will need a new account
2. Company made the app worse. When flight gate chances occur then these updates take several hours to
Show up on the app. You’re better off relying on the airport display TVs. This is based on my India USA trip in Aug 2025
3. Trips window still shows flights are scheduled or incorrectly as arrived - when you click into the flight that’s wrong then it shows the flight is either a past arrived flight or something else. Quite poor app review, I think AI is testing this app. As more more AI builds and tests software humans will be annoyed at AI thinks is best for humans. Enjoy !

Not what it was
I’ve been using this app for years. Then they did an update sometime in July and it all changed. The three major issues that I have now are this:
1) No ability to share your flight info with loved ones through an easy share icon.
2) if a flight number has various segments from a city that’s not part of your specific route, it still starts giving you flight information for that segment. For example, if I’m flying from Orlando to Chicago, but my flight number is also the same number as the flight coming from Denver to Orlando, it starts showing that flight information on the main trip screen as “in the air”. It’s confusing and unnecessary.
3) delete function is cumbersome. Instead of just sliding over to delete a certain segment, which is no longer possible, you have to go into the info section and tap more buttons and it’s worth. Can’t you just do whatever every other app does and have a simple slide button to delete? Even the trashcan in the upper left corner only works on an upcoming trip. If the trip is already gone by, you can’t delete it. Might sound small, but for those of us who are OCD it’s helpful.

Have never recovered from “upgrade”
Despite multiple bug fixes for their major upgrade, this app seems to just get worse and worse. What was by far the best flight tracker around is now a useless annoyance and will be deleting this app until truly fixed.
Problems include :
1. Emailing flight no longer populate in my trips
2. Status of flight including altitude and speed and updated. ETA’s is gone.
3. Being able to check on incoming flight is gone.
4. When adding a flight that has an out and back leg like they do on American frequent, it shows only the second leg even though you select the first leg to populate your trip.
5. Regardless of which leg of a flight and out or back you have., it sends you alerts for both legs.
6. The app is now very slow compared to how fast it used to be.
7. It appears all of this work was done to enable ads. I completely understand the desire to monetize what was a great product, but if I was an advertiser, I would not want to be associated with this product right now.
8. The ability to merge two different itineraries and two one trip is gone. So even if I could send in my outbound from one airline and my return from another, I can no longer simply merge those two.
9. Flight flights are no longer displayed in chronological order. So when I pull up a trip off, my return flight is listed before my departure flight.
10. And of course, they wiped out just about all of my history which I would refer to for expense reports or client reporting months later on status and activities.
Quit trying to bandaid this. Go back and restart the efforts to include adds. Make it simple like showing an ad when we start up the app. Heck, show two ads. That would be more tolerable than what you have now and we would be able to eventually see all the great info you used to provide.

Recent update made it worse
Super handy with great features. You can define trips and find/enter flights on any airline. However a recent update regressed this app to almost a beta level of functionality. You can’t delete completed flights out of a trip now. The flight status that you see on the trip summary page doesn’t match the (correct) status on the flight detail page. If the airline uses your flight number on multiple legs, the trip summary shows the status of the currently flying leg, not the leg that you’re actually going to fly. Some of the “Last Updated” time stamps show up in some weird time zone (UTC?), not in the time zone you’re currently in. Not sure why this “rewrite” was done. It made a great app into a merely tolerable app.

Bait and Switch
This was my goto app. Now I use the old app, which doesn’t provide any notifications, as it’s still a better app than this. This app is difficult to program. Does not provide aural alerts and you can no longer see where the previous flight is coming from. It’s like someone sold the old app, and the new people had no idea what was going on. Wrote a new app that is nowhere similar to the old app. This new version, 5.0 etc is rubbish. It’s a completely different app that is not functional. As it stands now this app is worthless to me. Even known delays often don’t show up. Since the old version was so good and this is so bad, then the only conclusion that can be made is that this is a new owner. And this owner has no idea what to do, how to program or how to make this a worthwhile app. The old version was perfect. It needed no upgrades other than to be functional. 5.0+ is worthless.

Terrible since update
I used to love this app. It was fantastic and used it almost every day. However, since the latest update it’s rendered the app pretty close to worthless. If you’re looking for a basic app to give you flight info, this app will do this and so will many others, better at this point. What made it different from the others apps is now gone with this update. You can no longer see flight details, or incoming previous flights, the delayed status is now barely noticeable-used to be red and obvious. Also and possibly the most impactful change, you can no longer delete trips or flights or even edit a trip! Also, what do you need a mandatory log in for? I don’t understand what sensitive information you’re pretending to protect.

Don’t know what changed…
I don’t know what happened, but I used to rely on this app for my family’s flight tracking (and they traveled literally every week). Every time I use the app since the upgrade, I need to change my settings for the text size just to be able to see the whole flight plan. It’s become so obnoxious. My choices are to change my text size to small so that I can see everything in one screen on flight app, and then change back to a larger larger tech size so I can see all of my other apps and email. It’s like the right hand is not taking to the left hand. Look at the reviews from the past few months. Whatever upgrade occurred, you guys just basically broke something that was working beautifully. Please put it back.

Long-time User and Subscriber Very Disappointed
This was one of the most frequently used apps in my system. It was efficiently organized and worked very well - well enough to pay for the ad-free version. The update is disastrous. It is cluttered and inefficient, no more listing of the most recently viewed airports. The date reverts to the current date when entering future flight information. It is much more difficult to use than the old version. How do I know about entering dates? The update erased half of the flights I had entered, and I had to not only re-enter them, I had to sort through old emails to get the PNRs for my trips as well as the flight numbers. Unless things change pretty drastically pretty quickly, you are about to lose many, many users. While I am not in the travel industry, I have family members who are, and all of them are lamenting the terrible changes, as are all of their co-workers. Everyone is looking for a new app to use.

Bad bad version update
This ‘new’ release took out a LOT of the previous version functionality such as:
1 trips cannot be sorted/ordered by date. what a mess i track about 20+ flights all the time..
2 the ‘where is my plane’ functionality was removed. now I can no longer see where the incoming plane for my flight is at. This functionality has saved me a LOT time in managing delays / cancellations, etc.
3 someone eliminated the swap to the left on each flight for options and delete. They now have a very old-fashioned check box delete function which requires a magnifying glass and incredible hand precision to get it. why???
btw, my version is the Paid version on the latest iphone. They get one more chance from me to get it right, if not cancel, delete…please get your coding act together..

5.0 rewrite terrible
I’ve been an avid user of FlightView (paid level) for many years. It’s been one of the most useful tools on my phone and one of the most user friendly. That all change dramatically when they “redesigned” the app from the ground up a few months ago (version 5.0+).
I lost all my history - ok, not all that important, but fun to look back on. I can get over that..
The navigation, screen rendering, and even features and data elements are all garbage now. The app is slow, very buggy, text rendering overlapping, missing important data such as previous flight (absolutely key in determining whether your flight today may be delayed or cancelled), many broken links. I am beyond disappointed. Someone must have bought the app and let the original coding team and designers go. The current versions are nothing more than a high school programming project. Absolutely ruined! Avoid at all cost..

This used to be an amazing app. However, the last several updates have really degraded the quality and the user experience. For example, when multiple flights are part of a single trip, from the overview screen, it is impossible to see the status of a flight. If you want to know which flight is actually in the air, you need to click into each flight segment to view the correct status. Additionally, despite having to manually enable notifications for every single flight segment, notifications don’t actually work. Hence, you need to go into every single flight segment to see which flight statuses are complete, and which is in the air, and which are still to come. There has to be something better than this. I’m going to start looking.

Over a Decade of Use - Wiped out Data
I’ve used FlightView since 2014. I’m a premium member, and was prompted to log on for the first time in a VERY long time. When I got in, my data was completely wiped out. The responsiveness is extremely slow. Trying to add today’s trip, it couldn’t find my connecting flight by flight number, so I had to find it by route. I last used it only two weeks ago.
WHAT in the WORLD did you do?! This has been the most reliable, simple, business traveler savior app. I’ve saved many passenger anxiety attacks by telling them their arrival and connection gates, because you’re usually faster than the airport on updating info.
Please fix whatever was fumbled so I can fix my review. 3 stars because of your years of amazing service, helping me get home and find those “sold out” routes.

July 2025 update
This has always been my goto flight tracking app and I’ve paid for the ad-free version for years and recommended it to everyone. However, in July 2025 they’ve updated the app and it feels like it’s gone backwards by a lot. Whereas in the past, it was fast, with crisp displays, and search fields would remain when tracking multiple flights, which is a big help (ie, when tracking a number of flights for the same date and/or airline, all you’d need to change is the flight number. Now all fields reset after tracking a flight, not good.) And especially not good, because overall every entry is slower and takes longer. It seems like it went from a fast modern app to a 2010 web-based app. Bummer. Looking for a new tracker.

What Happened
As a Chauffeur with clients coming and going multiple time per week, this app was my savior. Kept me updated in delays & allowed me to keep a log of my flights for the airport officials. I go today to check on my client for this evening and first it’s asking me to log in or create an account. Ok! No problem! Except, I couldn’t get the buttons to work. Finally I select log in through Google. I get in and all of my previous entries are gone. Ok, no problem. I have time to input them again. Except, I can’t the buttons are not working. All I can do at this point is track. I can’t save the flights I’m tracking which is unfortunate. I was willing to subscribe & get rid of the ads bc I value the service but I’m not going to pay for an app that’s not working. I have uninstalled & reinstalled it 3 x to no avail. Please so tact me if you fix the problem. I relied heavily on this app for the last year.

Update ruined app!!!
I have used and loved this app for many years. It appears they just upgraded to a new 5.0 system. The FlightView I loved has been ruined.
I had three trips entered in that I was taking or following, one starting today and two tomorrow. Those have disappeared! I started reloading the data for these three trips. Most of the time the app would not find flights. When it did find them, it took at least two and up to five minutes to complete the task. The new version seems to allow only for 24 hour military time. I know how to do this, but I find this confusing and less convenient for me than 12 hour a.m. and p.m. options. Attempting to change things in the settings part of the app proved futile. The new version also does not order the flights in the order in which they take place. The second, connecting flight was entered in my trip as the trip that was on the top of the list. Ridiculous!
I am not sure what to do. I’m extraordinarily disappointed. When it isn’t broken, do not fix it. Apparently FlightView tried to “fix” their app and now it is severely broken. I wish I could rate it zero stars.

Most accurate app for all flights!
I have been using this app for 8 years and I finally got around to doing a review. There have been numerous times where this app was more accurate / updated quicker than the airline app or the displays at the airport. That applies to gate changes as well as arrival and departure times. Bag claim info isn’t always accurate, but that can be said of the airline apps too. This app is also awesome because you can save all of your flights in one place and have a historical record of your travels in one place. There may be airline apps that do the same thing, but this app will always be my go to for flight tracking.

Must have for travel
I have used this app for many years and it doesn’t disappoint. Information is updated quickly. I have been alerted about a flight diversion during a flight, before the pilot had come on the PA to inform the cabin. The map option is great to track your flight and potential weather along your flight path. There is data for airspeed, altitude, and time remaining on your flight. You can even track the previous leg of a flight for potential delays and connections. I will never get rid of it.

No longer a reliable flight tracking app! :*(
This used to be the best, easiest and very reliable flight tracking app but no more. I’ve relied on it for over a decade. But it’s become difficult to utilize with it lengthy, incessant ads that won’t go away until you click on a link to try to get you to download worthless other apps (including competing flight tracking apps). I suppose I could stomach that for reliable info, but over the past several months I’ve seen that the app doesn’t update for flight arrival times after the aircraft departs its origin until the plane lands, which provides no alert of an early flight arrival or delay. I’ve also witnessed the app suddenly report an aircraft landed when it’s actually still airborne for another half hour. I’ve witnessed so much inaccuracy that I now have to abandon this app after having used it for over ten years. SAD!

Best Trip & Flight Tracking App By Far
After downloading FlightView many years ago, I have periodically looked for more modern apps that do what this one does. Nothing so far has even come close to matching the features FlightView provides:
-Create multiple trips that you can update with a custom name. Trips are grouped by category: All Trips, Upcoming, or Past
-Add notes to a trip using a freeform text box. It is not pretty but it gets the job done
-Add multiple flights under each trip
-Receive flight updates and gate change alerts. This app will always alert me before the actual airline’s app does
-Click in to a saved flight to view the full flight details on one page
-See departure and arrival gate information in the app before I can in the actual airline’s app
-Set your home airport or search for a specific airport to see a “readerboard” style view of Arrivals or Departures
-See current weather at you scheduled trip destinations
Though not the most modern, this app has been essential for my trip and flight tracking needs!

❤️ this Free App for YEARS!
No matter where I have traveled in the world. 🧳 I have used this for years think as far back as 2012. Love the weather the Map and gates and terminals it displays or if it changes and have my trips saved from present to past and future ones to come. It’s very accurate on times with flight times or if you are trying to track a loved one so you know when and what time to arrive at airport for pickup with notifications sent straight to your phone. All what you need in one place. There are some advertising adds but they don’t last long. Finally love the new feature where you can make a login in so your trips can stay in there incase you happen to get a new phone. It use to not do that even with iPhone backup app it would just start new. But no big deal. Tech is more savvy and user friendly keeping up with times. So thank you 🙏

An excellent tool for frequent flyers. Worth subscribing to remove the ads.
Well there are a few nitpicky things I could mention here overall the app works really well and I fly a lot. I have 27 flights between now and the end of 2024 and the app handled all of it with ease on my iPhone 15+.
The first thing I did was pay for the one year subscription to get rid of the ads because within 10 minutes I could tell the app was definitely worth having for someone like me
There are a few things I would improve or in terms of editing information and things like that but once you figure it out you kind of get the logic of where they're coming from. Not exactly the way I would design some of it, but all in all this thing is great. It certainly a major improvement over checking my bookings on United or Singapore Airlines or whatever.
Having all of my flight information in one place that is being tracked constantly so I know about delays I can see where the flights are coming from all the stuff it's just really good.
I gave it four stars instead of five just because I think there could be improvements and the overall management of existing flights primarily with editing which I found kind of clunky and hard to figure out at first but I managed to figure it out without reading a manual or anything.
So bottom line… If you fly as much as I do you should definitely get this app and pay to remove the ads because you can't use it without removing the ads there's no way especially when you're at an airport and Tracking what's going on with your connectors and stuff two thumbs up! 👍 👍

Phantom flight alert bug still not fixed
In March of 2019 I emailed their ‘contact us’ about phantom alerts I was getting for flights that I had added to the app then later canceled (e.g. there was a schedule change and I was moved to another flight; my work trip changed or was canceled; etc) but I continued getting push notifications for the flight segments I deleted from the app. I got a response from the “business development representative” at OAG saying they were looking into my issue and that was the last I ever heard. To this day, 4 years later, the issue has never been resolved so it continues to be the single most annoying thing about this otherwise excellent app. Secondly, my husband wanted to install the FV Plus app on his phone but now it’s $1,000 to download?? Ridiculous.

Best App to Track My Flights and Status
This is my go-to App for tracking my own travel flights. Faster and more precise flight updates than the airline’s own apps. Superior visibility to prior flight info to understand causes and impact of delays, and this includes an option to see the actual flight status on a map. I also keep my entire history of flight travel in the App. Although considering the ad-free upgrade, I don’t pay for the service, so I am subjected to the advertising that pop-ups, with a bit tricky few-seconds delay before the upper corner “X” is visible to close the ad.

Best flight tracking app
I’ve used this app since it was released 4 years ago and I love it. I pay for the yearly subscription because it is such a tremendous help in my life and I want them to continue supporting such a great service. There are no other apps that can do everything this one does with such an easy, well-thought out format.
Entering information is a breeze. Create a new trip, search for the flights, save those, and it automatically creates notifications about flight timing. The correct keyboard for letters or numbers only pops up and makes entering anything easy, not all developers consider how helpful having a numbers only keyboard can be when entering info, but this app does. Viewing a single trip or all the trips you have saved is simple and has all the information you need like local time and weather. The app will also show a map of the flight’s progress.
Give this app a try and see why it’s the best for storing your flight information.

App Review
As a professional transportation company owner & driver. A great flight tracker is essential, I use Flight View for incoming flights. The app is a tremendous help for getting to the airport on time, not to early and absolutely not late. This app announces the status of the aircraft and its current location on the map, the aircraft’s speed and altitude, when it lands, when it arrives at the gate. These announcements are often a couple of minutes behind. The only real improvement I see that would help is to be able to delete a flight, maybe that function is there & I just can’t find it. I also have a procedure I follow to ensure an accurate pickup.

Best flight app
I’ve used another app many years ago & it was frustrating to use. I’m so glad I found this one a few years ago. The 1st time I used it, I couldn’t seem to get flight info put in. They say to email them the info, so I did, and they were fast in responding, and got everything loaded in app.
I don’t travel much anymore, but use it to track my loved ones travels. It gives me great peace of mind.
App is easy to use & has so many useful features. I even like looking back at past trips, to remind me of when & where I and loved ones traveled to; memories.

Useful Tool
I am a frequent traveler and find this tool very useful to track multiple trips and legs. I will also track incoming flights so that I have a good idea if I’m not going to make a connection and can make alternate plans in advance.
One request from the developers: right now it appears that when I share my flight itinerary with someone such as my wife, the app merely throws my flight info into an email ready to send. The other person then needs to manually load the info into their app. It would be very helpful if I could send a file that the other person can simply load into the app on their phone. Or maybe there’s some other way to sync my flights onto their phone🤷🏻♂️

Invaluable application for travelers
I’ve used this app for several years and have found it invaluable. The app gives up to the minute flight arrival and departure times and gates so you know if the flight you’re tracking is on time. You’ll know quicker than you’ll find out from a gate agent, that’s for sure.
Many years ago, I traveled weekly so subscribed to the OAG Flight Guide which was about the size of an encyclopedia that I got in the mail monthly. I loved that for trip planning but this app is SOOOO much better for so many more things. My point being that OAG is the definitive source of truth for travelers.

Simply A Necessity
I have been using this app for many years. It has been an important staple in reference to travel whether I’m actually flying or picking someone else up. I find that it’s also really essential when you need to go to the airport for a departure or arrival.
It tells you in advance whether the flight is going to be late, when it is landed, and a load of other good information. It even tells you the gate of arrival and departure!
It will notify you as well of the flight status. So I don’t need to get to the airport and sit for hours because I didn’t know the plane was late. And if it’s early, the same thing applies. If this app charged a fee I would pay it, hands-down.

Great app
I never had an issue using this app. I use it for business and personal travel. It’s keeps me on track and gives me all the pertinent information I need for checking in (such as gate information or changes) to leaving the airport (such as baggage claim information). Many times this information is slowly provided or hard to come by. This app makes it easy to obtain up to date status and on many occasions quicker then the airline employees.
Another great thing about this app is love ones can track your progress and know that you made it safely to your destination or know when you have arrived so they can pick you up.

Yikes
This app has been having more and more issues as time goes on.
So many times I have flights saying they landed, and their landing time is five+ minutes in the future! I also regularly get notifications that a flight has landed, and then when I open the notification, I have to refresh it multiple times and wait for it to actually update with that information. This often takes up to five minutes. As someone whose job involves meeting flights as they arrive, it decreases the value of this app immensely for me.
But on a more practical note, the pop up ads they suddenly decided to put on the app make it unbearable. It makes the app lag, makes it harder for me to just take what should be 5 seconds to check the flight into a whole ordeal. ESPECIALLY because the ads have the worlds tiniest Xs for closing them and I frequently accidentally open them. The other stuff I could deal with, but not this. The instant I can find another app that has flight tracking like this one does, I'm deleting this one. It’s not worth the frustration.

Amazing!
This app is one of the coolest apps I’ve ever seen. It is so user friendly and it is REALLY accurate. I’ve used it twice, once to track an international trip and just recently to track a domestic trip and both times I have been throughly satisfied with the set up, the notifications, the map and the information given on the “details” section. I’m a very nervous flyer, to a point where I feel nervous for my loved ones to fly and using this app genuinely gives me a huge piece of mind because I know that I can see accurate information on my families flights. I would recommend this app to anyone!!

Extremely Helpful for anyone who uses air travel
Must Use this app if you fly or have friends or family who do. I find this app so useful anytime I am flying, when anyone in my family is flying, when I have guests arriving by airplane. If you have to go to any airport this app is so helpful as it keeps you updated with the status of the flight you are tracking continuously. You know what Gate, when it’s boarding, taking off, taxing, if it’s delayed, on time, etc...
Don’t fly without it.
Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the app information doesn’t sometimes easily text the right information, unless I just screen shot, to others. I’d like to have an option for the flight to link directly into my calendar (Google or Apple). That would be wonderful. Thanks.

I have had this app on my phone for about two years, using it occasionally. I was very happy with it and, had I reviewed it I would’ve given it five stars. No longer. In the past two weeks it has shown me two major major flaws.
I was planning on meeting a friend flying into Washington DC from London. About half an hour before the flight was due to land the app warned that it was being diverted to Philadelphia. So I made plans for a pick up of my friend there. It kept showing Philadelphia as the new landing point for the next 24 hours. In fact the plane landed in Baltimore and the details of this were never posted.
Then, a couple of days ago I was watching my sister’s flight from Iceland to New York. She was booked on WOW airlines. Unfortunately the carrier went bankrupt the day before she was due to fly and she was forced to scramble to get another ticket. No matter that all planes were grounded, this app showed flights taking off and landing at on time at Newark. good thing I didn’t go to meet her.

Magical app combats delays with fiction
I’m not sure what’s going on with this app. It has been my reliable go-to for tracking multiple flights when family gets together. Twice this weekend, however, it has posted a false status for my flight.
Two days ago we circled Chicago rather than landing, but this app showed us as “landed” even though we were still over Lake Michigan. We actually landed 30 min after the app said we did.
Currently, our flight is delayed. There is no airplane even at our gate. 10 min ago, however, this app notified me that my flight had departed. The skies apparently are perfect through the rose-colored glasses of this tracker. Of course, if they were, we wouldn’t need a tracker app. And I may be in the market for a more accurate one.

Best by far!!
This app does the job exactly as described. No nonsense. Ads are there but hey, the app is free because of those ads. And trust me they are not intrusive or annoying at all. This app allows you to create a trip and put all your flights for that trip in it. Gives you notifications that are very useful. It gives you exact time of every status. I have known about delayed flights before even it shows up on airport tv screens. Must have it even if you travel rarely via airplanes. The weather at both airports and real-time updates are just so well placed and designed. Go for it!!!!

Great app but needs updating (as of summer 2018)
When this first app came out, it did not do a very good job tracking international flights but since then, it’s been great! It’s the best, most up-to-date flight app I’ve tried. It knows when the plane has landed before the airport monitors do! And I love how it will tell you “departed” when the plane leaves the gate, “in air” when it has actually taken off; “landed” when the flight touches down, and “arrived” when the plane is at the gate.
However, about 2 months ago (May 2018) it’s stated having some glitches and wasn’t as accurate as it has been. Flights not updating (said flight was “landed” but not “arrived” for 6 hrs before updated); late on sending notifications (got an alert at 12:59pm that a flight was delayed until 12:56pm, and by then, was already on the plane); can’t always find flight (found 3 out of 4 of my European flights, regardless of the one it couldn’t find being on the airline’s app).
This app hasn’t had an update in 5 months...I’m thinking it’s due!

Helpful app
I used to use Flight Tracker but it’s gone. I have replaced it with this app. While not as much info as Flight Tracker this one is free and it works. One thing I wish it could do is enable switching locations (like you can switch the “to” and “from” in map apps). For multiple leg trips this would save a step as you could just switch the “to” to make it “from” and then add the next “from” location. I’d like to see the flight paths of the plane too - like Flight Tracker used to have. All in all, this is a good app and a “must have” for me in addition to the airline’s own app. I use both together when I fly.

Excellent Application
I am not a flyer but I use this app constantly to follow the flights of family and friends that are very dear to me. My aunt and uncle were killed on a commercial jetliner many years ago and since that time I cannot ride on a plane! Secretly I’d like to stop all my loved ones from doing so but I know that is impossible. The Flightview App is the next best thing to helping me remain at peace and calm while let’s say for example my daughter is flying over the Atlantic on her way to England. Being able to actually see and track the plane in real time while it’s traveling, and giving me updated information helps me to be so much less anxious than I ever would have been had I not had such a tool! Thank you so much for making it possible for me to cope with my fear so much better by providing so much information regarding real flights in real time with the ability to see those flights moving along from destination to destination. It’s really wonderful !!!!

Someone has wisdom
I am a former subscriber to a paid app for flight tracking. It is no longer in existence. I am an EA and track flights of multiple airlines simultaneously. I am grateful someone had the brains to keep a multi-carrier tracker app alive with many features from individual carrier apps. It is helpful to know where a plane is coming from when you schedule flights or are watching connecting flights. Spare planes are a tad expensive to have sitting parked at airports just waiting to be used so if your inbound flight is departing from a location impacted by weather that connecting flight you need to catch may not happen. Having an ability to see all the puzzle pieces allows me to change flights ahead of the crowds at airports waiting in customer service lines and keep my bosses moving. Even better, knowing where flights come from allows me to choose flights and routes based on point of departure. A Toronto connection is probably wiser in summer versus winter and so on. This app is a tool I depend on. Like anything else it can always provide new and different information but the creators of this app are updating and improving continuously so I have no complaints. Good app to have if you deal with travel to any degree.

Why is everyone so upset about this great app?!?!
I’ve used this app for almost a couple years now, and I’ve never had a problem with it. It’s accurate, and very easy to use. Yes the ads are present, but it’s not like they make the flight information inaccessible (for me anyway). This app is severely underrated, and deserves much more appreciation than what it’s getting, especially when the Flightview workers and app developers are working hard enough as it is to make a great product into something better. I have total respect for those who may not like it, but I would say give it a few more chances before deciding it is totally useless.
