I have been using this and related camcard app for several years. Magic color feature and control over edge boundaries with distortion compensation are what make it exceptional in my view. Photos fall way short in comparison, with reflections, non-uniform lighting and distortion. Try it and you won't go back. Superb for capturing white board sessions.

I've been using this app for several years now it keeps getting better cloud storage seals the deal. Just what I needed easy to use scanner on the fly that allows me to create and email PDF files and email them them. I've been using this cam scanner app for years now to upload receipts to my email and it's always been very reliable and gets the job done.

It's easy to understand, has a good set of tools to improve the pictures and the integration with Google Drive is very handy.

I paid for the "plus" version of the app, and simply ignored its repeated offer to sell me cloud storage, since I use Dropbox. Now however the simple upgrade of creating folders in CamScanner requires a $5 per month or $50 per year subscription. There are too many alternatives to this simple app to tolerate this, particularly after I already paid for it. Trying other apps.

Good app, easy to use with good quality images

I have used CamScanner for many of years, and I'm very pleased. It is probably my most used app on my iPhone. If anyone is new to iPhones, I tell them this is an app they must get.

Images are very clear. There is a feature that places the date on every file name automatically, which is very helpful for finding documents. The app is very handy for scanning receipts, specially gasoline receipts. The upload to Dropbox is a great way to share with other devices.

I'm sure there can always be improvements, but In its current state it is a great app.

The work we do in teams often involves graphic recording and graphic facilitation. Doing that work on flipcharts and launch sheets of poster paper makes the work visible and supports collaboration. Cam scanner provides The ability to quickly photograph and distribute work without the need to transcribe into PowerPoint or Word.

There is great value in accurately reporting and distributing the work of teams quickly. Cam scanner reduces the cycle time between an affective meeting and implementing decisions made in the meeting as well as recording the ideas we generated.

The ability to crop and clean up the photos adds to the value of cam scanner. Another plus is the ability to save as a PDF or JPEG. Another feature is the ability.

I have been using this app for several years… It is probably one of the most useful ones I have. It is very easy to organize my receipts, which no longer fill my drawers and I can find very easily simply by scrolling through what I have scanned in. It will even "straighten out" scan that are taken at an angle to make them more legible. I organize the folders by year and month, and I also keep separate files of silly things like funny cartoons I might run across. The files can be exported on a PDF file if need be. I highly recommend this program!

I've used CamScanner for so long I don't remember when I first downloaded it and it's been on every phone since. I certainly can't shut up about it because everyone who can't outrun me has heard me rave about CS and then installed it instantly on their phone. Granted, this may have been to change the topic, but I know for a fact that many have happily continued to use it.

Seriously though, who doesn't get excited watching scanned receipts flatten? Wait, you haven't seen this? What are you waiting for? This app crushes mobile document management. Give it a try.

I find the interface to be intuitive and the scanner to be accurate and useful. It works particularly well with scanning documents that are several pages long. It works well for text and images equally well.

It's very flexible in assembling the scans into a PDF or a series of JPEG images.

It's cloud functionality works well allowing you to access the scans from any Internet connected device once you set up your account.

I especially appreciate its ability to automatically detect and correct for perspective distortion. I'm happy with its ability at performing optical character recognition. While it isn't perfect, it works well for my purposes.

My only concern about the app is the cost of continuing membership for storage of scans online. Although I am using the pro version there is still a cost associated with having monthly storage which seems high to me.

I do my scanning and keep it limited so I don't exceed the cloud capacity and then download my files and delete them. This approach works for me. I find storing many scans within the app to be too expensive for my purposes.

I find it especially handy for scanning newspaper articles so I can recycle paper and keep digital copies. Sometimes the information available in print is different from what's available online.

I try to avoid creating massive documents of more than 20 or 30 pages as the file size starts to become unwieldy.

This app is my go to, when I have anything work related that needs to be shared. I am a mechanical foreman and my favorite part, I can take any photo and PDF it and send to my project coordinators. They can then make comments on it and see exactly what I am talking about as I explain the details to them. It has helped tremendously over the past 3 years.

My only complaint is that you sometimes need to edit the auto crop on some things that should be easy for the app to recognize. That is easily done and takes an additional 5-10 seconds.

I've had this app for several years. I use it more now than ever! Have lot of food allergies & try various foods. Some tasty & some not. Take pics of product box & write brief note so I remember next time I'm @ the store. Same 4 documenting make up - the great & the horrible. Take pic of perfume I want to try or a gift idea for someone. I take pics of Post it notes & other papers - helps me clear clutter! Camscanner helps me keep my life together! I've had problems w/ several crashes over the years, not sure it was an app problem, may have been my phone....and, never lost data! Extremely happy w/ Camscanner.

My wife recommended this app to me as she used it for work. It is perfect for getting documents, receipts, and anything else you need sent via email or to your cloud. I have used it for sending records and letters to my kids school along with documents for house work that was being done sent to the contractor.

The only thing wok will tell you though is you are limited on space unless you upgrade to the Pro version which will cost you with $5 a month or annul subscription at $45. Along with the space part you have to be mindful of the item you're emailing because it may take a while or you may need to be on wifi.

It's the best scanning app for someone who travels. From receipts to faxes to medical documents to storing recipes, this app is crazy useful. I use it all the time and keep coming back to it for more and more things. Thoughtful updates continue to make it better and more flexible without sacrificing an intuitive user experience. It plays nicely with Dropbox and Google Drive (and others). It replaces a professional-grade scanner for 95% of the scanning I do each week, so while it doesn't do everything under the sun, the developer continues to walk an expert line between versatility and usability. I love this app. I cannot imagine what I would do without it. I became aware of CamScanner because of its sister app CamCard, also an awesome app. I enjoyed using CamCard so much I tried CamScanner. I "scan" everything. Every receipt, important documents such as drivers licenses and social security cards. I can now easily keep up on these items without having to remember my wife's social security number. Also nice to know everything is backed up so you never have to worry about losing anything even when you change devices. I even forgot my license one day and the place I went accepted the scan as the real thing because it is so clear and readable. The uses are unlimited. Thanks for a great app.

Students and professionals should download this app for capturing notes from the white or blackboard and from colleagues/classmates as well as a good way to save forms, worksheets, text etc. at the start of a course if you haven't had time to purchase required books or other materials yet. Additionally, after saving a form or worksheet, etc. you can add responses/your answers right on the form and then simply submit your assignments, etc via email or make a copy of your completed form/assignment. What could be easier, or more compact? btw: I also use the app to take images of posters and labels of things I want to buy so that I can remember the time and venue of an event or the price and details of a purchase I am considering.

I use this app repeatedly during my work day and at home. Makes scanning documents quick and simple, even if you take a lousy shot. You can also clean up messy screen shots by importing photos into the app. Even allows you to break up a document after scanning so it can be sent as one big PDF or multiple small ones.

Don't want to lose a receipt? CamScan it. Copy a recipe from a magazine article? CamScan it and convert to text later for searchability. I've told more people about this app than I can count. Best app on my phone, hands down.

CamScanner has been my go-to scanning app for the past 4 or 5 years. I use it to scan any important records that I may need down the road (e.g., documents, receipts, photographs, etc). I've tried numerous other scanning apps over the years, but I always found myself liking this app better than all the rest. A few things I'd like to see with CamScanner is the ability to automatically backup my files to whichever cloud based service of my choosing (e.g., Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, etc) without forking over extra money (on top of what I already paid for the app) for the subscription based in-app version. Also, I'd like the app to display exactly how big the size each document will be, and have the ability to change the size before backing up or sending my documents to storage.

I've tested various scanning apps over the years. There are so many in the App Store, and this is the one that has never left my phone. Their cloud service is great. Saves my data even when I've had to restore my phone.

Works great for multiple page PDFs, and I love that it auto senses the corners of the paper automatically. Saves so much time. Auto correction works well, OCR is hit and miss on receipts, but that's to be expected since the print quality is often so poor. Love the 3D Touch shortcut from the home screen. Can't live without this app!

I've been using this app for about 3 semesters now and I can't believe I didn't have it before. I don't have to worry about lines to use the scanners in the university's library since I can just use my phone.

I definitely recommend this as a must have for college students. It makes it so much simpler to get copies of books for class if needed, especially when you can't find a copy or when the book is too expensive to purchase. I've also had a couple of professors ask our class to scan assignments and e-mail them in, with this app I can do that with my phone and don't have to worry about finding a scanner.

Whenever I turn in any form I can scan a copy of it signed as a backup which has come in handy in some occasions. All in all, a very useful app.

Whenever we issue a check or receive an invoice or deposits the check in the bank, I use CamScanner to make a copy of that document and save it in the correct folder in CamScanner.

This way I am sure that I have all a document proof of all our financial transactions.

It is better than just taking a photo since you can save your documents in folders that you create. This way you can easily find them. Moreover, you can name each document and each folder. Again this helps when you use the search feature.

Each image you take is adjusted and it looks just like a scanned image and not a camera picture.

I am a farmer, and work off-farm as an employee on construction projects. I previously was doing a poor job of keeping my important receipts, correspondence, and documents organized and filed for efficient retrieval and secure storage. Sometimes receipts got lost before they made it home. I tried a popular desktop scanner system, but found it wasn't very effective for me. Sometimes receipts got lost or buried before they got scanned or recorded in my record keeping software.

Now, with CamScanner, I am doing a better job of timely scanning and saving my documents for record keeping & filing. Having that ability to do so on my phone, I get the items scanned and filed before I forget. In addition to saving in CamScanner, I also save a jpeg file in my phone photos, and a pdf file in Dropbox folders, so the files are automatically stored in the cloud, and on my computer.

It is nice to scan the receipt and toss it in the trash can! Less paper!!

I like the way CamScanner eliminates shadows and crops the images. Also the options for b&w, color, etc.

The only suggestions I have:

1. Add cropping to compensate for curved edges. (Curved edges from not being able to lay the paper perfectly flat.)

2. Develop a desktop program that would allow use of a scanner; WHILE saving to the same CamScanner file as on the phone. The computer app would show the same images as the phone, and both automatically synced.

I use this app for work all the time to keep track of my travel receipts for work. The quick switch from a picture to a pdf is so simple. I keep each work trip as separate folder for easy access and can even move files from one folder to another very easily. The last feature I use all the time that is great is the ability to "email to myself". All in all one the most useful apps I've ever paid for!! Well worth the money to have access to the full app features!

Some of my clients are not yet familiar with eSigning documents so I'll sign them in person and immediately after I'll use a batch scan to individually layout and scan all portions of the real estate contract. Once I'm finished, I'm able to email them a digital copy before I even leave their home. They love knowing they have an exact copy of what they signed without having to waste a bunch of paper or remember where they kept it.

My only issue is trying to scan items and avoiding the shadow that I cast when hovering over the documents. I've found laying a document upright against a wall or piece of equipment can help alleviate that shadow effect.

This app is incredibly useful! Better than simply photographing because it processes images to improve readability and can even make a searchable PDF for you! I use it all the time. Capturing my kids' assignments off the blackboard, noting a recipe, "photocopying" someone's lecture notes or materials to share via email with colleagues, keeping copies of receipts, you name it. Once in a while during a long scanning session it crashes but doesn't lose data. Just open it back up and continue where u left off. Also I've had no issues with having to pay again when updating as one other user did.

They have done all the hard things very well. People are blown away by the resulting images, which is pretty ridiculous given how boring the premise is. However, I don't find it easy to organize my documents in app. I like the app enough that I am about to dive into documentation to make sure I can keep categories of images nicely separated. I alaska find it annoying that thru charge you to use someone else's servers to store your stuff. You would think they would be happy to have you shift bandwidth and storage costs to Dropbox/Google Drive

I bought the full version of this app when I was planning a visit to the BYU International Harp Archives, and I needed to take information with me (can't check-out the material) for writing some program notes for the pieces I'll be performing for my ABRSM diploma-level exams. I "auditioned" about six apps before I went, and this is the one I chose.

I like this one because of text recognition. I can have the app perform its magic, and then all I have to do is copy and paste quoted material into my document. What's more is they provide free cloud storage that automatically backs up material in case my phone crashes, and I can easily access from a desktop. Don't care for their cloud? You can easily connect it to your preferred cloud: Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. It even has an option to fax.

All of those are invaluable features to me. I'm surprised at how often I use it, following my trip. Recipes, articles, anything I want to take with me, I don't have to rip out a magazine page or find a copier. Why wouldn't you just want to snap a regular photo of this stuff? Your camera roll will not organize as beautifully as this app.

Just get it. It's such a small price to pay for how much convenience it brings to life.

I've used the application for almost a year for my business. It is helped me tremendously with receipts, notes, and images. As I take images of my receipts, invoices, and statements from my smart phone I then use the application upload using a different app (Evernote or Dropbox). Then when I arrived to the office or home, I just simply download it to my PC and then do what I need to do with my receipts or any other documents I scanned.

The only one drawback that I have and it really is not worth mentioning but just something to consider, when ever we place an item in a notebook and then attach a tag, we have to hit "back" in order to upload to the server. I would like to see eventually an option where we can choose one tag or multiple tags and from there it becomes automated rather than hitting "back". I like automation.

My favorite pdf creator. Lets you check mark photos (batch select) and quickly converts them to a pdf. My only complaint is that there's no option for file size. No matter how small you make the pdf pages the file size is still the same. 35meg (for example) of a pdf , for an iPhone sized screen, is insane and you can't even email something that large. Lesser apps allow for smaller file size (with lower image quality). Still, this is a perfect app and I use it weekly to create 30 page PDFs on the fly

I searched for the best app that would scan documents and photos and put them into a PDF format and discovers camscanner a few years ago. It is the by far the most used app that I have! Many times I don't have the time to read an important article so I pull out my phone, open camscanner and fire away. I convert the file to a PDF and save it so I can read it later. Everything...recipes, journal articles, newspaper articles, magazine articles, you name it! I've even scanned important documents which I am able to send within a few minutes of signing them ( legal docs, insurance docs, etc). Saves me a lot of space on my desktop at work or the nightstand next to me bed! I have raved about this app to all my colleagues and friends and a number of them have purchased it and they too rave about what a great app it is. Very happy with the app! Big fan!

I have other scan programs that do a good job. The + version of this one was touted as having an OCR capability, and I really wanted that. So I spent the dollar and downloaded it onto my iPhone 6+ which contains Apple’s best camera so far. Then I tried it out on a single letter page of text from a mail advertisement. That text was generously larger text than most. It seemed to recognize the text, outlining it all in bright yellow, but on reading the results, I laughed! Not one single WORD was anywhere near recognition. Even when turning the camera sideways, so text was now GIANT, but a single line filled the screen sideways, the recognition factor was horrible. The OCR feature may work fine on a business card, but documents? Forget it. The letter I tried to scan: a mail piece from Consumer Reports. If I were them, this product would get a big black spot.

It's all simple and straightforward, and any difficulty you might have this Camera Scanner app literally goes out of its way to help you with either tutorials or a list of step by step options to make things even easier.

So if you're on the fence about buying and trying this app (I know I was at first, but that quickly changed after trying this app out for the first time and it just couldn't be any easier.

I highly recommend everyone try it, you most certainly won't regret it, other than not trying it a heck of a lot sooner!

What makes CamScanner so valuable to me is the consistent high quality image processing. I need something that's fast to use and meets or exceeds the high quality standards in my field that I can use professionally. If you like lots of features and high quality results this is for you. The only annoyance that I have is the easily confused or missed naming of document titles with page titles. When I'm in a rush I frequently name the page title thinking I just named the document title. This leads to a library full of generic documents named "new doc #" adding one more step to do before I share it. The document can easily be named immediately after cropping and processing but it is easy to miss or confuse if your in a rush.

This app has been awesome for me. I don't spend a lot of time at home and don't always have access to a scanner. With this app I can scan any document I want and email it to myself of what ever I need to do. I used it last school year to scan a picture of my daughter to email in to school for her yearbook. It saved a lot of time and I was able to come thru for her. I doubt I will ever need a home scanner again thanks to this wonderful and easy app. The updates just keep making it easier to use all the time.

Not having an old fashioned scanner or even a very reliable computer, I use this app all the time. Super intuitive, easy to use, and very versatile. I can email or fax right from the app, save to Dropbox or my camera roll. I bought the paid version because it's on sale, but honestly I don't see any features I wasn't getting with the free version, which I have been using for several years. It gives you more storage, but I was only using 2% of the storage I already had. I bought it because it was only $2, and I know I will use this app forever. I do not have the monthly/annually charged premium membership because my needs are basic. My only complaint is that I think the paid version should come with some free faxes, which are $1 a page, but I usually email or save it to Dropbox, so not a deal breaker. Even if I had a scanner, I would definitely use this more.

First off magic color is awesome.

Secondly I've compared all those scanner apps to Camscanner and overall isn't as good as this app. It's simply that awesome, the free version is great too but I felt I needed to support the developer as the app is worth it. I did a screen shot of all the listed apps and compared image quality, paper whitening and coloring and this app came on top on all three tests on all the apps I've listed. I normally don't do app reviews but I had to for this one.

First off I do a large amount if my work through my phone, including taking images and sending them to people. I use to have genius scan, which was great until they started updating the software, after that I had non stop problems with it. I finally through in the towel and bought this app, which is better in every aspect!!!!!

I love CamScanner and use it everyday. It is great for scanning a document or picture to text/email to someone else. I also use it to capture documents I need to keep and refer to often, such as my kid's baseball schedule.

The best use I ever had was 2 years ago when I needed to sign and return a job offer / employment agreement that had been emailed to me. I was at work and could not risk getting caught using my employer's fax machine - I might get fired before I even had the new job. I printed the job offer, signed it, scanned it to PDF using CamScanner and then emailed it back to my prospective employer. I got the job and have been happily employed for 2 years with the best company I've ever worked for. Thanks CamScanner!!!

I love to use this app to keep track of receipts and things for warranties. I like how easy it is, point and shoot. The tagging and searching is helpful.

I really wish it had the ability to make separate folders in the app itself so that I can keep things separate. You can merge things and stuff but I don't always want to scroll or search for something all the time. Rather just open a warranty folder and have all my warranties there and have another for recipes or whatever. That much easier with folders.

Otherwise it's a great app!!

I have used camscanner+ for years and been very happy with it. The latest update has rendered the app virtually useless. I can no longer name my scans. Everything stays as "new doc". It also looks like the app has changed in price and although I have already paid for it, there is a new subscription price or a bulk "yearly" price that must be paid otherwise they place a watermark on the scans. I'm saddened by this because I have already paid for the app and have faithfully recommended it to friends and associates thereby generating more users. It is a slap in the face to re-tool the app and make it more difficult to use, and at the same time require already paying customers to pay more. I'm unfortunately going to have to take my business elsewhere and will no longer suggest this app to others. Nice job

There is nothing worse than needing to send signature documents to a client to close a deal and not having access to a scanner. In the past, documents would be delayed because we were not at the office or because we didn't have the auto document feeder working. With CamScanner, our problems are solved. Drop the pages on the table...the app shines the light on them and the way that the app auto brightens and adjusts orientation is just the best!!! Clients cannot tell that the documents were scanned with my iphone. Perfect.

I've been using this App for a couple of years now. It was good when I first bought it and has been getting even better with the version updates since my initial purchase.

I use it to scan receipts, single and multi-page documents and capture cropped and enhanced images of various posters, newspaper ads of interest and other incidental such things I encounter through the course of a day.

I also like to use it to grab quick copies of medical paperwork such as original prescriptions, lab results, doctor's orders, patient billing and such. Makes it easy to have those available for easy reference later and no physical storage space is needed.

It often isn't convenient to access a decent scanner or copy machine, but all you need is a flat surface and decent lighting to use this App to create a good copy of any document.

I've recommended it to several friends over the last several months and will continue to do so when the situation arises.

This is a great app for my expense report every month, but the new version annoys me. Before I used to name each page of a document and when I sent it to my email the subject line would be filled with the name of that page that I named before. Now not only does the subject line comes blank, but the file name has a name with the time stamp that does not mean anything to me. Instead it should have the name of the document plus the name of the page that I gave before. If blank is that it should show the time stamp. In an average of 40 to 50 receipts every month you can imagine how happy I get in renaming everything and filling in those subject lines in the email. I wish I could revert back to the old version... :(

Some of the multi-page scans when turned into PDF, have the page split in places that are not the separations of the page. I.e. mod way through a page. Might it be something to do with 90degree rotation? This does not always happen, and has not happened at all in previous releases.

I'm having to send them to myself as JPG, which means I get a zip of JPGs. Sadly they come with a GUID for the file name of each page (as opposed to page num), which effectively randomizes the order of the pages. I have to fix that by hand. I'm also manually turning that into a PDF on the mac using Preview. Google for "using preview to stitch together pages in PDF"

Features: I'd like to be able to send email of JPEGs … for whole multi-page documents, where the individual JPEGs are attached or embedded in an HTML-email, rather than zipped. I'd like that as a choice.

Update: Plans for iPhone 5 support?!

Having tested JotNot, Omniscan and others I settled with Camscanner. It's a fantastic scanner with the highest quality of results. I especially like the automate feature that let's you capture multiple pages in quick succession and then processes them in the background. Love it. Great job guys!

What could be improved? Upload icon is so much to the right it always selects the letter indices. Annoying. Next, please let us hide the upload services not set up from the list offered. If its not configured, there's no need for it to show up. Thanks.

This is an awesome, useful, and efficient tool. I'm a teacher and at our school, we are limited in the number of copies we can print. This app has allowed me to scan resources that were previously not available digitally and have them displayed on my smart board for students to interact with them. Also, our district is known for "losing our tutorial logs" and thus, we are out of a paycheck. Since, I scan all my tutorial logs by month and then email them to myself as PDFs.

One thing this app could use is the ability to create my own labels, so as to not be limited to those pre-made labels.

I'm a natural cheapskate & rarely pay for apps (other than Angry Birds!) After trying AppScanner, I was so impressed I shelled out for the full version. The main extras you get in the paid version is removal of a watermark from your scanned images, and on-screen ads. Neither of those bothered me very much, but I did want to reward the creator of this app.

I teach a class in which the students write up critiques at the end of class. I'm required to scan & email these critiques. I was using a flatbed scanne, which I find slow & laborious; I really hate it. With CamScanner, I quickly & easily get scanned PDF images of my critiques all in one multi-page file, crystal clear, and faster than my flatbed. There is a terrific function in CamScanner which squares the image (removes the "keystone" affect from an off-center camera.) The resulting image is just as good as my flatbed, and far faster & easier to use.

I strongly recommend this app for anyone needing to scan. Try the free version first if you're dubious; it's great.

Great app, but what is the difference btw Camscanner Pro and Camscanner + ??? I got a new phone and I had to re-download Pro, but accidentally hit + and didn't think anything of it (i.e. getting charged again for it) until it came up in my purchases again. So did I pay another $5 dollars for the same exact app just bc they have 2 slightly different names?? Obviously I should have paid closer attention to the whole thing, but still...what is the point of this? And neither app let's me open word docs from emails "with Camscanner Pro or Camscanner Free" bc it says I need to update them, which they are both updated. I just would like some clarification of the issue, then I'll give 5 stars.

Now I can scan all my personal files and convert them to electronic files. It works by taking a picture, creating a very clear image and you can turn them into either jpg or PDF files. Sync with iTunes and save file to flash or hard drive. You must download either iBooks or idownloads apps which comes for free so you can save it there either as PDF or word format. Very user friendly, portable anywhere I go it's a scanner within my iPhone no regrets in buying the full version. It works an it's the best out there. Kudos to the guy who made the Program.

The scanner seems to work really well, if that's all you need to do is scan and save a scan to Dropbox, Evernote, e-mail, etc. The navigation is very confusing and unintuitive. You have random options from different screens and have to just click around from different screens in order to find the menu you are looking for.

I had to send an actual fax to a fax machine with my phone. The app won't allow me to purchase new faxes, which are $.99 for a single page. Each time I select the document to fax, I get a popup window to put in my Apple ID Password. Then I get to the fax screen where there is a message saying my balance is insufficient for 1 page. I click on Recharge to purchase a fax and get to the Recharge page where I click Purchsae. I click Buy to Confirm my In-App purchase for $.99. Then I get a popup message saying that I've already purchased this In-App Purchase but it hasn't been downloaded. I click Download, and am asked for my Apple ID AGAIN, and then nothing happens.I am caught in an endless loop of Download, enter Apple ID, click Purchase, "You have already purchased and the purchase hasn't been downloaded", and the stupid app never downloads my purchase so I can never send a fax. This was a WASTE OF $5 FOR ME, AND EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING WASTE OF TIME TRYING TO GET IT TO WORK!!

I started using this app as soon as I found it because it filled a need. Such as make a copy of that client check I just picked up at the PO and want to deposit at bank across the street, simple. This worked well and saved lots of time. Next I realized I could sneak copies of pictures from family albums and make a digital slideshow for my mom's 90th birthday. I pulled that off like James Bond with this app which the CIA probably never considered. The best part was quality compliments from pro photographers who could not believe the quality image rendered from a phone. True a real flat bed scanner is better, but it takes a trained eye to tell the difference if there is no comparison opportunity.

This is an app that is worth the money.

It can document every receipt digitally and you can throw it away forever. I have not lost or messed up a single record and have transferred and moved them all over the place.

Good and useful app.

I'm a soldier and veteran. As most soldiers and veterans know, keeping hold of important documents such as hand receipts, medical records, appointments sheets, counselings, and many other types of documents is highly recommended. With all the trees the army's hands out each day it can make a mess out of the back seat of my car, or on any surface in my apartment that can hold a paper, and fill my pockets with folded papers.

Having this allows me to simply take a picture or multiple pictures, quickly, and have scanner or better quality ready to save to an online backup, or on my computer, or email it to a superior that needs to see something. I really like the ability to back up my medical records to a secure place online, so I can now shred all the countless "important" documents I get. I highly recommend this app.

I started with the free version, and when I realized how handy it is, I upgraded. Among the many great features is the ability to stretch an image, so if I photograph a document at an angle to avoid a shadow, which can turn a page into a trapezoid, the image is squared to correct for distortions. The many options for processing images and saving them as pdfs or jpgs or other formats and saving them to different locations on the iPhone or emailing them are there in the free version too, I believe, but it is nice to have documents with no "watermark". This app is worth every penny.

I cannot understand why this app has received such rave reviews. I snapped a photo of a receipt in a well-lit room on both light and dark backgrounds. The quality of the photo is so bad it actually is not legible. Its grainy and cheap looking. This boggles my mind since I know if I took the same picture with the camera app on my phone the quality would be much clearer. And i did. Taking a picture of the receipt in the same lighting, background, with my Camera App produced a beautifully clear capture. Plus I tried some free scanning apps before this with lesser ratings that captured the receipt way more clearly. I just knew I had to be doing something, but I tested out the different settings and still the same awful quality.

I had to ask for my money back on this one. :(
