Details:

• Tap ‘play’ to hear a 4-part harmony version of the song. Tap any singer to rotate through the three volume settings: full, soft, and silent. Tap the band in the background to turn the music track on or off.

• To hear and learn any of the parts, mute the three other singers and sing along with the solo voice, with or without the music track. Then tap any or all of the other singers and sing your part along with them.

• The voices can be added or muted as the song progresses, and can be played at half volume as a guide while the other voices are set at full volume.

• Move to different parts of the song with the slider at the bottom of the screen. Tap the menu icon to navigate to the Library and select another song. Tap the information icon for more information.

• No music reading, previous singing experience, or training necessary.

Nice idea

Nice idea and is certainly helpful to hear the harmonies. Not nearly enough songs though. How nice it would be to have an app be able to break the harmony apart with most any song you listen to. Five starts when more songs are added.

A Good App Keeps Getting Better

I've had this app for several years and continue to use it, it's a great little app. Each update is better--used to be if someone called while I was using it the app shut down, now it keeps working. It says on their site that they are working up some new songs and I for one can't wait. Bring on more Eagles, guys.

Great App, Great fun

My girlfriend and I use it on car trips. It's great fun. Five stars when they get more songs, but plenty to get all the same.

They fixed the "no sound in silent mode" bug

The 3.0 update of this app was a big improvement on older versions, but I soon learned that if my phone was in silent mode I couldn't hear the music. Not a big deal, but this update fixes that little bug. I'm happy to see that the developers are on top of these things. I continue to love this app.

No songs in song store

Bought the app and more than happy to pay for songs but when you go to the song store there are no songs in it. So you're stuck with just the three that they give you to start with.

Great App

I've been struggling for years to hear the different harmony parts in songs. This app takes away all of the guesswork. It is awesome and easy to use!

Improve this app, please!!

Great idea! Love where this app could go, but...

1) $1 per song is too high. Maybe $1 for 5 songs you pick...

2) bigger song selection

3) better voices. Some of the voices are flat and nasally. Should be easy to hire 4 quality singers.

Fix these things and this will be a stellar harmonizing app.

Good app

Divides up the 4 parts well. Before you download you need to know 3 things: 1. There are no lyrics 2. You can't record 3. It uses a lot of battery power. I have to leave my Iphone 5s plugged up if I intent to use the program for more than a few minutes. Overall, probably worth it (for now).

Can't stop smiling

So glad I found this! Been wanting to learn how to harmonize since I was a child and I'm excited to use this regularly! You can turn on/off up to 4 voices for each song and the interface is so much fun to play with. My bf and I planned on going out for karaoke but ended up staying home and singing with this app instead haha! Thanks for developing it!

BEST APP FOR SINGING HARMONIES

AMAZING, I love this app but new iOS mess it up and I can not open it anymore. I hope the developer will upgrade so I can use it on my iPhone 6 Plus again. Only 99 cents for a good song, it's the best deal on earth. God bless the developer. Love

Not enough songs and they aren't free!

They only give you 3 songs free and then there are only about 20 others to choose from that you pay $ .99 for each! Don't waste the money! Good concept but not enough content.

The iOS 9 download messed up this app and I could not get my previous

Can't open the app at all now; crashes immediately after opening.

App won't open. Flashes quick opening page, then shuts down. May need an update for iOS 9. Can't tell for sure since I hadn't tried it under the previous iOS.

One thing!!!

This app has so much potential going for it! But theres one thing that if this app gets it will be the best on the App Store for harmony and that's being able to add songs that you have in your phone to where the parts are broken down and the songs a person already has on their phone will be ready for harmony at any time!!!!! If this happens this app will attract a lot of attention from music lovers like myself and especially for harmonies!!!!

Great Help with Harmonies!

Love this app and the new songs. At .99 each, it's like a professional voice lesson and harmony instruction--for a dollar! And i could replay the song as many times as needed to get the vocal parts. I'm going to suggest the songs I want to learn, as they come out!

Beautiful!! What a joy to get to sing such great songs with such great voices!! A great way to train yourself to sing harmonies, or polish your harmony technique! And the visuals are great! When you silence the singer, their arm goes down, when they are at half volume their arm is up but they don't have the bright light on them, and when full volume, arm up and light full. I love that you can turn the band off to focus more on the voices or have the band on for the full effect! I'm a professional musician and I think it is a great app and I think there is something here for all levels. Sing on!!! And now you can buy extra songs with the update, heaven!

Version 2.0 to be released soon

I just bought this App. I really wanted to get a better grasp on learning harmonies. I was already using the Harmonies By Ear CDs and figured this would be a great addition to my training. I wrote the developers to ask about Version 2.0, which has more songs, and was told it is due to be released on Tuesday so I will be on the look out for it. I think the App itself is a great and fun way to learn harmonies. Brilliant idea, easy to use, and very helpful in ear training for harmonies. I will keep using it and looking forward to the updated version to learn more songs!

Ok, first off, there's only 3 songs. They give u the option to request songs but the request cannot be delivered. If they fix it fine otherwise it's a waste of money. Such a great idea too. Boo!!!!

Not worth it

Unless you wanna learn just 3 specific songs, then I suggest you don't buy this app. It has a "suggest song" button and every time I pressed it nothing happened. Lousy app.

This is amazing!

This tool is simple to use and works wonderfully in classrooms and when learning harmonies with friends. The ability to mute or turn down the various harmony parts is invaluable. I would love to be able to buy additional songs for this app and build-up my library. How about selling songs for two dollars each as in-app purchases?

Awesome App!

This is a great program to use to start singing harmonies by ear! This will work great with Susan Anders' singing by ear packages. Please add the songs that go with "Harmony Singing by Ear" & "More Harmony Singing by Ear". I would also suggest you have an automatic loop to practice over and over and that the songs would continue to play when the screen shuts off. Very Creative!

extremely well done

i just downloaded and installed sing harmonies... very clever and helpful. you can solo individual voices, drop some harmonies to half volume, and mix and match parts to learn different lines. i'm sure other songs will be available shortly.

the only thing i would like to see is some kind of visual indicator as to which of the four 'singers' is singing the lead.
