I tried it based on reviews despite the date associated. The interface looks good--and I paid for it, but tried everything possible to import a csv file. All options grayed out and unable to find online support to address the issue. I bailed and moved on the Hit em Up.

I love the personalization feature of this app and that I can send pictures and choose my "batch" size...

...BUT with my settings correctly done I'm still sending some batches as GROUP TEXTS!!! That's bad for my biz! I have over 100 texts I need to send in short order with more adding every month. I should NOT have to go in and do ADDITIONAL changes to my settings!!! I don't have time to go in every time I want to send a text and change my settings and turn OFF the iMessages. I NEED that setting in my everyday as my devices need to talk and each get my texts--I LIKE having that back-up for security reasons.

PLEASE fix the needing to turn off iMessage part of this--You can do it! 😃 I'd even be willing to pay 💰 a bit more ($1-2) for fixing that feature! It's IMPORTANT!

Seems like in the last few months or longer some of the people in my group NEVER receive my text messages. I have not figured out why. It used to work great a year or more ago (never dropping anyone) but now it doesn't. I wonder if this is an IPhone issue??? I upgraded my IPhone recently. I am thinking of finding another APP.

Easy to learn and use, does exactly what I need, would reccomend.

I purchased this app so that I could use it in sending out invitations to people for parties that had embedded links to websites. It does not allow me to copy and paste the websites into the message where the receiver can simply click on it and go directly to the website. Furthermore prompt response to Help from support was lacking. Don't waste your money if you were looking to utilize this with hyperlinks.

If you don't have this group text app you are surely missing out. This is the best group text out there. It is extremely user friendly and adaptive. Thank you!

If I could give it zero stars I would. I work with Apple iPhone and this app has wasted a ton of my time. Once you send the text it doesn't remember the group and sometimes will not send to large groups and just crashes. Also to create a group is not user friendly. Once you get it created you can't get to it to modify it and if you can it's not intuitive. I only write reviews for apps that please me and very occasionally I'll write a bad review. I'm very busy and I'm happy to take the time to warn against this app. Awful.

Tried to mass text glitch stuck won't work I want my money back! Period!

This is a little confusing to use. It's been frustrating to learn how to utilize but once I get the hang of it, I'm sure it will be fine.

I read a lot about this app, but it simply does NOT perform the way the claim. I do. The main function I am looking for was no replies go to the entire group. I just want the replies to come to me. They claim if you changed the settings in your phone it would work, but it did not. Support has not answered my email for over 3 days.

Since this is the functionality I am looking for, and GT claimed it, I am completely dissatisfied. This does nothing your iPhones can't do out of the box.

Won't send messages our says error failed what a waste of money

Messed up app. I got blocked by my phone company for sending text messages to different carriers. Now I'm able to send 20 at a time, and everyone can see the replies even with group messages turned off. Horrible!!!

It doesn't matter how many settings I try, I am always getting, "This Message Failed to Send." I have turned every setting I am supposed to off. I have reduced the batches down to 10 each. If the message is over 160 characters, it usually fails to send by the second or 3rd batch. I use Verizon. When you consistently fail at your primary function, you have no worth to those you serve.

Great way to reach out to my group and give them information needed throughout the day. Faster and convenient vs e-mailing. Having trouble attaching a file/Pic to a group text. Emailed tech support several times, no response.

I lost so many clients because of this app. I sent my message to my clients expecting each one received it separately however it sent it in group text messages. They started getting crazy and I lost clients, and business that I had been prospecting, and working with for months. Million dollar corporations that I had been pursuing went down the drain. This message was from one of them "I know who you are do not ever come to my shop again just lost over 100.000.00 + dollars of business This is bullcrap". That was sent to me after I was trying to excuse myself. KILL ME

Products does what it should but is mot intuitive in layout or execution so it takes some time to setup and get used to. Worth the effort in that it works well once you get used to it.

This app needs to be merged with iMessage. Group lists for non-iPhone users is vital.

When I turn off the iMessage and MMS I can not send either receive messages with pictures, if you sprucing up, would be the perfect app... Support technical is great tooo

Even if you turn off your group messaging everyone gets all the replies. Frustrating!!! The only way it works is to turn off iMessage with it but then you don't get any replies back to you. What a waste of money....

I continually get "message failed to send". Not a happy camper.

App works 50% of the time. There are texts I send out to 10-20 people that I want sent out individually and it still sends as a group text even when my group message setting if off. Fix ASAP, or I highly recommend no one use this app.

This is a good app. Does what I need it to do and simple to use. I don't like the "insert" option, but I found a workaround that doesn't take too much extra time. This app is with downloading.

CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!

Should be NO zeros but it doesn't let me do that. I want to text to a large group and everyone should see each other's response, like "chatting". I contacted the App Support and the replied once to ask for clarification. I sent answered their question with screen shots and no response since - that was 2 days ago! And the app still doesn't work! GOOD FOR NOTHING!!!

I can't figure out how to contact the developer, and when I type my message I press send and it says message canceled and doesn't lead me to the next screen. Please help!!

I only bought this to send a group text, very quickly, to everyone in my contacts list to warn them about a virus that I got in my email. I didn't want to have to painstakingly choose everyone in my contacts list to create the group text. I just wanted the application to do that for me. Maybe it does have that capability, but after attempting it myself and look for videos about it, I had no luck

I have a list of 27 people. Several are using SMS. My message keeps coming back undeliverable even when I try small batches. I use iOS10. This app does not work.

In doing large batch texts, it does not allow for a bcc function - unless I missed how to access it.

I've used this app for the last 2 years and it has been an absolutely GREAT way to communicate a single message to hundreds of people at once. I particularly like how the messages doesn't transmit like a group text.

Overall, this app works. There is a problem when I am in the process of sending a group text and have to go to my home screen or another app. When I go back in to this app to finish the text the text box is gone and I have to retype the entire message. This has happened EVERY TIME I've had to open another app or check a normal text then go back to this app. The text box also drops when I scroll up to look at a previous text I sent to the same group. If I scroll too high the text box disappears and I can't find it to finish my text. I have to start over. Big pain!

I was looking for a way to send out a mass group message without having to show each contacts name and number to all the others who were receiving the message. That worked fine and the app also allows you to simply check-mark the contacts quickly without going back and forth from message page to contact list, BUT every person who received the text ended up getting between 4-6 texts all jumbled from the one text message I sent. I only sent one message. I was sending the message to clients, needless to say, unprofessional. Maybe there is a limit on how many people you can message at once. I messaged 76 contacts.

I am a dispatcher for Trauma Intervention Program and this has been a tremendous help. When there is a large scale traumatic event ( car accident with multiple injuries, working fire, helping bank employees after a robbery and many other tragedies), I am able to contact all volunteers right away. I have used it many times.

I also want to say that when I have a question about the app, I receive almost immediate response and each time I was able to follow the easy directions sent to me. Thank you for being there!

It seems like every time I use this app I find a new function it can perform that makes it all the more valuable. Just recently discovered I can load in a CSV file so that I don't have to manually load a bunch of names and numbers! Then I learned you can personalize the text message like you would a Word mail merge document, so that each person thinks you created the message just for them! Anytime I have had a question regarding the app, I have always received quick responses and follow-up to make sure my issue was resolved. Great customer service in my opinion!

I have been a Samsung user for years and I work in youth ministry. I contact lots of high schoolers at lots of different campuses and I use my phone and group texting ALL the time. I decided to give iPhone a try since everyone said it's so intuitive and easy. That is NOT true when creating groups and sending group texts.

What I love about this app is that I can create lists and send to as many contacts as I want. That is nice because on my Samsung I could only do batches of twenty.

However, because I don't want everyone to get each individual's response, I have to turn off group messaging in my settings. That is a pain because my friends and family also send me group messages where I want to see everyone's responses. My messaging app on my Samsung was AWESOME at this because I could toggle back and forth between "group conversation" and "individual messages" within the app, on the same page as the message, and without messing around with settings.

If this app is missing something, that would be it and it is huge for me since this is one of my main uses for my phone. No other iOS apps let me do this so maybe it is Apple's problem, but it is frustrating for me and may be a dealbreaker between Apple and me.

Just recently downloaded this app and use it for a group messaging for my traveling baseball team I coach and also for their parents because they want to know everything. But I lost all of my "mobile" contacts and got all transferred to the Group Text! app so I had no contacts in my phone and could not text them in the Messages app that comes on the phone. After a couple emails back and forth with Support, they were able to fix my problem. They responded quickly and was on top of it!

This app is horrible! I contacted support and they said it wasn't the software but my phone ! Lol I guess iPhones are not compatible with this app? But anyways I made groups about 100 people at a time I will send out messages to the first group . Some will receive it some won't then I send the same message to the next group of people and not one person will receive anything I literally had two of my friends sitting next to me and added both of them into the second group to see if it would work and didn't tried multiple times. This app will work If u want to send out one mass message to everyone but u won't be able to again after ! On top of that support stopped emailing me back save ur money

Let's face it... hardly anyone responds to emails now.

As a coach, I have critical information that has to be disseminated and read in many last minute situations (weather issues, changes in plans, injured players, cancelled games).

I coach lacrosse for over 40 middle and high school boys, which means almost 80 parents. I did not want to add 80 contacts to my phone (especially when they will be gone in a few years).

This app has it all. I imported all the parents names and mobile numbers from an excel spreadsheet. (They are still not part of my contacts). In under a minute, I can send a text to all of the parents, or any subset of them. It comes from me, and if the parent replies I have it set so it DOES NOT reply-all (this would be the nightmare of all nightmares).

I have had to contact technical support twice by email for configuration questions, and they responded within 15 minutes both times, and solved my issues.

The parents see me as the most organized coach they have ever worked with.

I have had GROUP TEXT for about 8 months. I use it daily to send out prayer requests and announcements to our church family. I love being able to group people also such as singers, band members, deacons, youth, etc because it makes sending messages to specific groups so easy. Also, the tech support people are so patient and helpful. I am not a techy person and on two occasions I have contacted them for advice and both times have found them to be persistent in finding my problem. Each time my problem had nothing to do with Group Text but they still helped me solve the problem related to my iPhone. Love Group Text!

Awesome app! Works great!!!! I was super impressed with the customer service. The first time I used the app for a group text I could not get it to send. I emailed customer service they responded right away and told me how to fix it and within seconds it worked! I am not a tech savvy person and I am extremely busy so I do not have hours to sit and read all the fine details. Whoever gives this app a bad rating should really reconsider and change it to a 5 star one, it's bringing down the average score. I've been using this app for over a year and a half. This app really deserves all 5 stars. Excellent app, very thought through, keeps up great with the iOS updates, works amazingly, no complaints! Just don't expect it to do everything for you, it's a program, not a game, turn on your brain and take a few minutes to get to know how to use it. I have been using this app since July 2014, and it is the best app going for a team mom, or for any group texting. In the past I have tired several other group texting apps, but none compare to group text. I'm able to send group texting to the team parents with individuals receiving them as an individual message. No more replying to the entire group. Your able to use your contacts or set up a group file by adding in the phone #s manually without adding them to your contact book. The message template is the best. I can pre-type game text messages, then send them at the click of a button on a later date. I recommend this app to all team moms, coaches, or anyone that does a lot of group texting.

I love it. I provide communication for a few sports teams. Right now I help with my son's middle school soccer team & my son's high school football team. I can get info out right away and with very little effort on my part. The coaches and parents love it too.

I have tried many of the other group texting apps out there & this app is by far the best. You can modify it to best suit your needs. The support or customer service is prompt, helpful & extremely professional. I love it.

Just started using so I can't give it a 5 star rating yet. I just had to delete another group app I was using for a while because it just was not consistent. I would suggest to people that if they make ANY changes to their contacts that they restart their phone (I have an iphone4S) because when I was setting up a list I realized that one contact was not under mobile and that is why I could not add (I chose the setting to add only mobile numbers to me text list) once I changed the persons number to mobile it still would not recognize the person. Once I restarted my phone it worked. I will give more feedback if I see anything else. So far so good!! :)

I got this app to use for mass texting over 200 people on a regular basis. Most important for my purposes was keeping recipients from seeing each other's replies. This app does a great job with that.

The groups are easy to setup and edit. Love that you can go through your list of contacts and check off names one after the other, as opposed to some other apps where each contact has to be added individually.

Tech support is the main reason I gave 5 stars. I had a million questions and they guided me through getting everything setup correctly. Really friendly and great at giving clear, concise instructions.

Was referred to use this by a friend/mentor in business - that communicates with a bunch of different teams - that he works with (myself, being on one of them).

Use this so much would always click the prompt to "Remind Me Later". I finally made this later.

Works like a charm for me - able to set up as many groups as I need and separate into subgroups as needed.

I really love how the developer took the time to make the app accessible and easy to use. I also love the way the dev took time to make the work around work for ios7.I hope it actually stays there through ios8 as it is a nice alternative to make sure you did not make a mistake in sending your group message. Good job. The only thing I can say needs work is the settings dialogue. For each setting just have a back button so when the user clicks back the settings are saved. Clicking done gets redundant.

I've been using this app, now for a week. I can't say enough good things I hope you've noticed a jump in downloads in the providence Rhode Island area. I've been using it for work and have been able to send out over 400 texts a week. With a few taps on the screen, all without a single person getting a returning message sent back to me. This is the most AWESOME APP you will every purchase! It does everything you can possibly think of in doing group texting! The creator really thought it through on all its functionality and made this the very best! You can create group text for iphone and non iphone users. You can add individuals manually (Group creation) and not necessarily have to be in your regular contact address book! (this is an awesome feature especially if you don't want to add more on you address book). Most of all, you can text from your group and receipients can reply to you and not having to copy the entire group! (this can be annoying if everyone is being copied on all the replies from the group). Here's the best feature: Their support group is VERY efficient in replying to you on any questions you might have (via email) and they will assist you in any way they can! You havent even purchased the App and they are already giving their best in assisting you! Once you purchased and still have questions, their customer response time does not change! This is true "Customer First" attitude! Way to go Andrea Vettori! May your future Apps be as successful as this one! Thank you for creating this AWESOME APP!! The app works fantastic. I do have a complaint however and think that this needs fixed. The alerts manager is an additional 99 cents and was not worth it at all. I need to send reminders to people on a specific type of day every month (as in the third Tuesday or first Saturday) and it does not give me the option. I would appreciate that being changed or getting my money back if it is not. There is no reason for me to have that added part. I would still rate this app great as I have indicated above however.

I have several groups of people I text regularly. This app allows me to save those people in predefined groups. With one click I can send a text to all recipients.

AT&T only allows 10 recipients per text. This program allows me to send texts at one time with no limit of the number of recipients.

It also allows me to predefine messages so with only a couple of clicks I can send a predefined message to as many recipients as I like. Very powerful program if you need to text lots of people simultaneously. Worth the money.

This is the app I was looking for. It does a great job of syncing lists and templates using iCloud. My experience after one day with the app is that it will do just what I need.

I will use it to create SMS templates and lists to quickly and efficiently communicate with groups of people both large and small.

It even allows me to import lists via csv file so I can build large lists very quickly.

I am super excited about this app and how it will help me.

I tried a number of different group texting apps and some online apps as well before finding this one. It has a simple interface and does pretty much everything I want. The only feature that is not present is a switch to turn off the iMessage settings while the app is actually sending a text. Currently, you have to go into settings and turn those things off by hand (which is a pain). I know it can be done, because some of the other apps I looked at do it (but don't have the simple well rounded interface that this one does). If you add that feature, my rating will go to 5 stars.

I've been using the app for several years and it's helped me with work and personal cell phone number distribution lists. I'm impressed that it's been upgraded several times since my first purchase which says it'll be around for a while and won't leave you with a dinosaur app. The limitations always seem to be related to Apple's iOS and not this app. When I emailed the company with a question I got a reply in a few hours.

I use this app to contact different groups for meeting, events, and other gatherings we have at church. I am a youth pastor and have teenagers that love hearing what is going on and has really boosted our attendance! Just turn off group messaging.

I had one issue when I downloaded ios6 and sent a support text and had my answer to fix it in minutes! Make sure your privacy settings are turned on so you can see all your contacts. iOS6 turned mine off! I would recommend this app for sure!!!

Well it's way past my bedtime my iPhone just got done installing and configuring operating system number six, I quickly realized as I'm opening my apps they also need to reconfigure for the new operating system. I opened "group text" and hit a6 wrong button and now it won't work, I try for a half hour to figure out how to undo what I did. Being very tired I finally resorted to emailing customer support And went to bed, When I woke there was the answer to all my problems sitting in an email and it was fixed in seconds. Apps are only as good as their customer service and this one rocks. Bravo To this company!

this app is AMAZING! and I don't say that lightly. for over a year, I used the other app "mass text message." it was ok until it stopped working one day. it had such bad reviews & I didn't understand why until that moment.

the top reasons why this app is superior:

1) I successfully sent a message to 503 recipients (keep in mind I have an iPhone 4 & the latest iOS). I don't have to manage 5 different groups of 100 recipients.

2) you can see the company name (as much as will fit in the display box) & the phone number along with the name when selecting members for a list.

3) very user friendly

4) most importantly: it's actually valuable for those who run a business via mobile devises.

still 5 stars. but I was a bit overzealous with 503 on my list. my iphone 4 did go a bit wacky afterward, but a soft reset did the trick. btw, if u want to review the message u sent within ur native messaging app, u need to turn mms & iMessage off before u can open it.

This is a great app with lots of potential. Very useful to. Here's what will make it better. First, when creating lists, there needs to be a way to add contacts that have already been created within the app and not just out of the iPhone contact app. Second, when looking at any list of contacts, there needs to be an alphabetical guide on the side of the screen to get to a particular contact faster instead of having to scroll up and down from top to bottom of the contact list. Third, there needs to be a way that after I select my contacts that I want to group message, the app stays where I left off in selecting my contacts so I can send to the next bunch. Fourth, I don't know of this is possible, but if you can find a way to allow users to message an infinite amount of contacts all at the same time and not just 10 at a time. Like I said, I don't know if that's possible that the iPhone only allows you to group message 10 people at a time. But if you can find a way to do that, that would be great.

Great app to be able to send out mass texts. Had BB which did this automatically. This does the same thing. Apple needs to step up and help this company and all others with the same problem of having to turn off the iMessage, MMS and Group texts. Some people will not get the text and some will. Sometimes a real pain to have to remember to turn on/off MMS in order to be able text pictures and receive pictures via text. If you can remember to do this and have patients with this otherwise small glitch (which will hopefully be fixed, been waiting about 1 year now) this is a life saver for all that left BB. All in all, this is a life saver and great app!!!!!

Awesome app. It's such a useful app to send out mass text. Its the only one I've been using and I downloaded a whole bunch but they are all so frustrating and don't have the easy features to select by group or single in your phone.

Also I've been using it for months with no problems and then all of a sudden, I ran into a technical problem and it seemed to not be working. I contacted them through the app and literally within seconds I got a response with an extremely helpful person on the other side. He walked me through the process and helped me figure out why it wasnt working and kept replying to all my questions until they were all answered and the problem I seemed to be having was solved.

I only have great things to say about this app! And if you ever run into a problem, use their support system, they are great !

I am one of those people who reads the directions only after I can't make it work. I emailed tech support and got a response from Andrea in tech support within minutes. A little bit of the problem was "5" related but by far the most was me. Before you write a review trashing the product, make sure it deserves to be trashed and that has to include making sure the problem is the product not the user. Group Text works great for me and if you give tech support a chance when you are having problems it will work great for you too.

After realizing that my iPhone did not support Group Texting to more than 10 people, I was on a mad-search for something that would. When you need to communicate to many young students in a timely manner, texting is the current preferred medium. I just returned from a mission trip with 30 students and 4 adults. When plans change, or you need to remind them of something before you actually meet back up, a text is what works. This was most recommended application, so I uploaded and tried it. Out of 34 people, I had 10 that could not receive the text for some reason or another - maybe a different kind of a phone or their settings were messed up. I was able to send a text through iPhone to the 10 people, and then the rest were on this Group Text Application. Sending out two texts was still a life saver. I probably have a lot more to learn about this application, but I was in a big hurry to get something that worked before we left. I may have been able to reach all 34 if I would have researched all the FAQ and worked with those that were not receiving them.

Group Text is a fabulous program! I couldn't get it to work at first. In frustration, I sent a message to their support department. To my surprise, I received a response within minutes. The technician stayed with me through a series of back-and-forth email messages until we got it fixed. In my case, I had a couple of email addresses mixed in with the group I established. The entire group must have mobile phone numbers only or it won't work. I am thrilled with this application!!!

I had a minor issue where repeated texts and older ones were being sent again. It was resolved by turning off the MMS in Settings. Customer service answered my original question by email in about 2 hours and resolved the issue quickly after a couple of emails I even got a follow up email to check to be sure it was resolved. Best customer service that I have experienced using an app. I tried several other Group text apps before finding this one. This one is the best!

I got this app so that I could send out a group/mass text when I have my baby. Figured it would make announcements so much easier.

Once I got it I tried to send a mass text and only 3 out of 25 could read it and only one of those people could respond. So then I was frustrated feeling like I waisted my $ and time.

I then went to the Q&A section and found out that I had to go into my settings and turn some things off. Then I retried the app and it worked perfectly! I would def recommend this app, just read the set up directions and Q&As first. ;0)

...Except for a couple of issues. The first is that you can't send photos. I know that it's a limitation of "what apps can do." I'm not sure if that means that Apple prevents them or what, but regardless, it is a limitation that prevents this from being a five-star app.

The second issue is that occasionally when I send a group text and check on its status in the Apple messages, it won't let me view it. It'll momentarily hesitate and then take me out of the screen and back to the home screen with all the icons. Somewhere there's a bug that stops me from looking at the texts I've sent to that particular group.

Otherwise, it works fine and it's a great app. I recommend it.

I initially rated this as one star. I sent out group text to 25 recipients and only 3 received it. The developer search me out to help resolve the issues. I must say despite my erroneously accused the developer of clicking not helpful on the negative remarks. Out of frustration and not founded. He was very courteous and quick on the email response.

You must have iMessage disabled and MMS and Group Messaging turned off. This is less than desirable, but the only way it'll work on iOS 5.0.1 on the iPhone 4S. It is better than selecting one at a time and max of 9 people per message through the native app.

Outstanding customer service.

1. The obvious group texting feature. This works great and the added feature set within it is well thought out (using groups from Contacts, creating custom lists of people, templates... all of which save boat loads of time)

2. Alerts!! (an in-app purchase of $0.99) you can schedule when your text is sent! I would buy this app for this feature alone. I'm often needing to send a text late at night. Now I write it, for example at 11p, and schedule it to be sent at 8a the next morning. Or it's the weekend, and I want the text to arrive during the work week, etc., etc. Also, it builds you marriage!... I have different romantic texts scheduled to go to my wife on a daily basis.

With tech support, fixed alot of my problems VERY easily! MUST turn off group messaging AND MMS. Only thing that would be great if it were differrent is that recipients with older phones or with a different provider get my longer messages broken up into several texts. The recipients dont like that at all.

Old review: Sent first mass text to 150 people 45 mins ago... So far only one person has received it. In past I sent in groups of twenty w/o this app & people got it pretty much instantly. Also trying to find "sent" message, not sure where it is?? I hope I figure it out..I was looking forward to this :(

I was previously using the iPhone built in tools to send texts 10 at a time, usually had to do 3 sets to get message out to my 28 employees. Prior to purchase, I had several questions, did it have a signature that could be added? Yes! Could you choose which phone number if contact had several? Yes, or choose both, even an email if desired. My questions were answered within 30 minutes of request. I purchased based on this impressive level of service, and everything is working as promised. I'm starting to use the lists feature to do text marketing, with the signature line to let people opt out by replying (then manually removing from list which takes one click). This is taking the place of a $29/month text marketing service I almost subscribed to. What a bargain. Thanks!

This app has worked great for sending out mass texts to my ultimate frisbee group. Having a text template is a great feature and saves me a lot of time.

iOS5 UPDATE: For iOS5 users the iMessage, MMS and Group Messaging switches have to be OFF to be able to send group texts. I have spoken with their support team and they are working with Apple to get this inconvenience resolved. For the time being this will let you be able to send group texts.

Settings > Messages > turn OFF "iMessages", "MMS Messaging" and "Group Messaging"

Every so often you'll come across a functionality that the iPhone simply can't do the same way or as well as your prior device. Sending out texts to large distribution lists is one of them. I tried some of the free apps and they did a good job of organizing my contacts into distribution lists but when it came time to send the message... They failed. Not wanting to go backwards to a BB or Droid I decided to give this app a try and spend the $2.99, all I can say is it's the best three bucks I've spent in a while. Finally an app that does ALL that it says it's going to do! I set up my distribution lists and fired out some texts! It worked flawlessly! One of my distribution lists has 70 contacts and the message was delivered to all! For that this application earned my first 5 star rating! Simply awesome! Now don't going screwing it up later on with a software update!!!!

As a H.S. band director taking more than a hundred kids to perform in Disney World, I reviewed all the group texting apps. I chose this one for two reasons: the ability to make your own templates, and the ability to text large groups--more than 10 or 50--at once. After a week in Florida, I can report that I ended up using only one of my templates every day, but I still really like that feature.

I made contact groups for chaperones only, students only, and everyone together (110 total). What a great use of technology to be able to give everyone the same info at the same time, even when we were spread out in the parks or were all in our hotel rooms at night. This app made a HUGE difference in the way I ran our trip, and my students had fun texting me back.

Easily worth the $2.99 I paid. Simple to use, does everything I need. (iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.3.1)

This app alone has solved a big dilemma with my iPhone. I manage a kiteboarding school and have over 140 clients. I constantly need to be in communication with them regarding weather conditions. There was never a way to send a group text. There was no "app for that". I had to generate a text with a max of 10 recipients each time I wanted to update my students with info. It took 30 minutes to complete the task. Now it takes 2 minutes. Thanks Apple for finally letting a developer create the most useful and time saving app on my iPhone. Works flawlessly. Also consider Mobile Me to manage your contacts into groups. 5 stars++++++

I coach high school girls soccer and I have found it easier to get information out to them via text rather than email. I did a little research and ended up purchasing this application. Simple, easy to use and most importantly it works. I didn't need an app that links to all kinds of other things, I wanted to create groups of people (I also am captain for a few adult teams) and send out messages.

Note: If you have recieve an error when sending to more than 10 people make sure you turn off group messaging on the phone's settings (Settings --> Messages -- Group Text = Off). It's a phone thing not an Group Text! thing.

My initial impression of this app -- "There is no cancel button so every time I come back to send another message all the recipients from previous messages are in the "to" field. There is also no way to write a custom message without creating a new template... I can't imagine how many templates I'll have if I keep using this app. Waste of money!"

A few emails with tech support (quick response I should add) explained that a future version will have a "clear" button on the recipients field. As well, it seems that it is possible to write custom messages. I simply hadn't gone far enough into the process to see that it was possible. Sorry to toot my unhappy horn so soon. :)

Finally found something that will allow me to create a distribution list for my group texting needs. Simply choose your contacts by creating a group or choose from your contacts list. Just create a template/message and it automatically takes you to the texting screen. All you have to do is hit send. Support is awesome if you need it. I highly recommend this app if you need/like to send a text to multiple people. I use it to send meet up times for my motorcycle riding group or to send a message to all of my family.

Very happy to find this app! I found it very easy to create groups, or “lists” as the app names them, and to add or delete names from the lists as necessary. For those concerned about the templates, just click “none” and you will be able to type in a unique message every time. The only recommendation I have at this point is that instead of “SEND” on the bottom of the screen, the button be renamed “PROCEED” or something similar, as it is a little confusing at first… you don’t know it will take you to the next screen (where you type in your custom text) until you actually hit it. I think renaming that button might help clear up the confusion about the templates I read in previous reviews. As I said, I am finding this useful and easy to use, so I’m very happy about this purchase!

I have looked on the app store for months, waiting and hoping for an app that would allow me to use group texting to more then 50 people at once. The 10 person limit that Apple caps within their own messaging app has annoyed me almost on a daily basis, and other Group Text Apps require the use of some other number that people won't recognize as being from me. With this, you send Group SMS messages from your own phone number. You can create your own lists with personalized names and add as many contacts as you wish. Like my title says, AWESOME APP!!!
