Misleading Ratings

Would love for Apple to make sense of their average “App Ratings” that are way OFF and misleading. Apps that have nonstop cascade of 1 Star ⭐️ reviews are rated 4.8 out of 5 ? I have no idea how else to make my voice heard but I was avoiding updating my phone’s ios like the plague. Then it shattered in a case when I dropped it because apple made the super smart decision to make the back of their phones glass! so I had to get the iphone 17 but I can’t even enjoy it because of this wack ios 26. how did we skip from 18 to 26? why did we? this isn’t innovation guys this is just sad I can’t believe a large group of people thought this interface looked good

Not user friendly

This app is very hard to use. They have option to edit address after ordering but the items in the order still goes to the old address, but it will still say delivered to your new address.

I had high hopes for Apple’s latest iPhone Air, but after a 20 weeks of use, several issues stand out. Here’s my honest take on where the iPhone Air falls short.
Battery life: underwhelming in everyday use
- Despite Apple’s claims of all-day battery, real-world use often lands me with less than a full day.
- Streaming, navigation, and social apps seem to drain the battery faster than I’d expect for a device in this class.
- Heavy tasks (gaming, camera-heavy photo sessions, long video calls) lead to noticeable quick-tap charging needs, which isn’t convenient during a busy day.
- The battery health indicator hasn’t shown dramatic degradation yet, but sustained daily usage still feels like a compromise compared to some competitors.
Performance: slow on apps and occasional stutter
- Apps launch with a noticeable lag compared to previous models in the same lineup, especially when multitasking.
- Animations can feel choppy at times, and transitions aren’t as smooth as I anticipated from Apple’s software optimization.

Summary: who might still want this iphone Air
- If you value a premium brand experience, solid software integration, and a capable camera for everyday shots, you’ll likely be satisfied.
- If you rely on all-day battery, crave snappy app performance, and want a camera that consistently performs at the top of its class, you might want to wait or compare with other options in the broader market.

But the features of even the iPhone 13 promax camera had better features
- Return policy clarity could be better explained at checkout and not in the fine print.
And I hated the fact when I tried to return the phone, the apple rep asked if I read the fine print!!!! So upset with such a cowardly comment!

Brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max Overheating Out of the Box

Bought the brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max fresh off launch day hype — Tim Cook made it sound like the “most advanced iPhone ever.” Mine didn’t even make it past setup before showing a “Temperature — iPhone needs to cool down” error while sitting on my desk at room temperature. The Genius Bar wouldn’t help, Verizon’s out of stock, and now I’m supposed to wait over a month for a replacement. Maybe Apple should spend less time on glossy launch videos and more time testing the phones they actually ship. This is the most expensive paperweight I’ve ever owned.

Whole gift card refunded

It’s crazy I got the whole gift card back I used for iPhone 17pm, after I traded in my old phone. Then what’s the point of using it? It should have refunded to my Apple Card for the trade-in instead of giving me another gift card with the same amount that I used. It also made me lose the chance of making payments using Apple Card.

iPhone 16

I have an iPhone 16 and after I downloaded IOS 26 my phone has been crashing and freezing all the time and when I try to go into my Internet without WI-FI it takes more than 10 minutes to upload whatever I’m going into. The best!

I don’t think there is a better product on the market than Apple. Not only are the products amazing, but the technical help is one of a kind. They have people that actually know what they are doing, and more than not, they can work anything out. I have been an Apple customer for over 30 years, my first phone was an iPhone and that is the only phone I have ever used. Thanks Apple for making my life easier to bear, and in my eighties now I will stick with Apple until my end. Thanks for making my life more enjoyable.

I like how when you have a subscription that doesn’t go through for whatever reason, Apple won’t will refuse to allow you to download or update even free apps that have no relevance to Apple subscription.
Since everything is done through applications these days, apples arrogance can do the following;
1)cause me to lose my job, if I can’t update jobber, I can’t use it, I therefore cannot work.
2)If my bank card declined because of an error I can simply fix by accessing my banking app, but wait… my banking app need to be updated in order for me to access it.
Nope. Can’t even move money.
Now Apple has told you that you cannot work, nor can you manage your money, until you pay for your subscribing to ITunes, because Apple is more important then everything else in our lives. All hail the mighty overlords of tech. Especially when they stand in the way of me being able to move money to pay them. How absolutely intelligent.

Looks good, performs terribly

Positioning says preordering in the Apple Store App is the best way to get new products. The iPhone 17 launch proved that to be false.
I use the iPhone upgrade program and preordered as soon as the app would let me. I was told the new product would arrive on launch date, September 19th. Over the weekend they pushed it back over a week, while people who ordered using other methods and didn’t preorder received the product as expected on launch day.
Your best bet is to order for instore pickup on their website. I do love the App Store look, but it gives frequent error messages on a fast WiFi network in the US and Apple punts App Store preorders to the back of the line for some reason. I hope they fix this issue soon.

I had auto download and update off, the new update forced mine and my wife’s phone to update after 3 days me telling it no. I smell a class action lawsuit. Forcing us to lock in with a cell phone carrier for 2-3 years per phone. We have a family business and have multiple phones, we are all having issues. I googled the same issues are wide spread. Every “new” update makes it worst. This
Latest changes my settings and icons. It freezes all day long. I can’t uninstall the update. Even a set up new phone don’t help because it forces the latest “flawed” and zero day vulnerabilities in these apps. I’ve been a victim of identity theft 3 times already since I got these phones. Don’t tell me iPhones can’t get hacked. Give us the owners of the phone the option to not install or uninstall your useless “security” fixes. Every time you force us to update all that screws up our phone, which then forces us to buy a new phone just to turn around for you to screw it up. It’s a never ending scam. You’re useless. These phones ain’t worth the paperweight used for. You should be ashamed of yourself Apple should be shut down permanently. Goodbye.

I’m currently going through a very rough period in my life, highly depressing situation. I need certain apps to get work and around the city and I’m unable to get those apps because I’m broke? I HATE you apple, I’ve been using your products for over 20 years I’ve been through numerous products and spent countless money (to me) and your services are unavailable due to my own problems. I know the level greed in you people and I vow to expose that somehow. In the future I won’t be using your products anymore, the companies have caught up and it’s time to let you go. Great but…

This is a very helpful app, I love that all my devices are already loaded in there and that all other compatible products default to each when browsing, saving me time and headache. I love the option to save lists, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. Several times now I have made separate saved items lists only to find they’re completely gone when I return. How is it possible that the company that pioneered the use of the cloud doesn’t use the cloud to remember their customer’s saved items in their own app? Baffling. Other than that I love to see which third party products are featured in the app before I make my final decisions as in my opinion, having something that is endorsed by Apple gives me a little bit more peace of mind when making expensive tech purchases. The tab where you can explore what’s happening at the Apple stores near me, etc. is also a fantastic one, so I can learn more in depth info about my products.

Text support was the worst, in store was great but text support seemed to purposely drag on the time

It’s been over an hour and a half and I’ve been transferred to specialist after specialist .. I have a migraine and it would be great if someone could just give me an answer to my actual question instead of all specialists not once not twice but probably three times asking me to repeat each bit of information and going off topic …
Here’s the thing: The shipper for my trade in printed the label on the wrong paper is what I was told and they cannot scan it and before you ask I bought a new phone…
My boyfriend said the Apple Store stated to contact apple by phone/text to get another label by email or have you cancel the mail in trade in and release it in the system so they can take it at the store but they were unable to take it at the store because it was locked in by serial number.. 14 days is Friday and this chat has taken over an hour now.. can you cancel it & set it to being taken to the store for trade in as he’s able to do that and have that done tomorrow ?

It is really selfish to release software update updates not compatible to all the phones you guys sell at extremely high pricing, trying to force users with older iPhones to purchase a new phone when it works perfectly fine until Apple decides to update a version not compatible to their phones you guys should not be upgrading versions that are not compatible to all your phones! And Support did nothing but waste my time and told me supposedly faster route logging into Apple Music, which is completely not true. This Saddens Me

Wow I’m writing review on Apple using an Apple phone. Who would’ve thought??? Never would I have ever thought I’d be giving an iPhone a rating of 1 but when duty calls right?? And I can’t necessarily say it’s the phone because it’s the services, Apple. I’m not the only one whose complained about the costs, services and the people who don’t understand upon calling to get help I’ve been put into overdraft multiple times because I’ve had just the right amount to pay for certain things but the money wasn’t taken when it should have been and now I’m stuck trying to add a visa/debit or money to Apple but can’t update my apps because I can’t add a new card. Where does it all end??? I want to take my star back😕😶

Device List Bug

Defect listed below is still happening in latest version just pushed. This needs to h fixed!
After having my Apple Watch 7 Edition replaced under advanced replacement, the Apple Store app no longer displays it under the section “Shop by your device” but it’s listed under my profile and devices, so clearly it’s visible on iCloud account. This is either a bug with this app or backend store server functions in new iOS version or when a device is swapped out like this. FYI, I did a restore, so the new one (with different serial) is named the same as my old watch. You need to look into this issue and resolve it please. I doubt I’m the only one that’s run into it.

Apple started off as a simple computer company in 1975. They later released the iPhone in 2005 which got people GLUED to their screens. But… Gen alpha started In 2010 and Steve Jobs said, What is a device that could make us money? And they came out with the IPad. To start gen alpha and they became addicted. And when they had to put it down, They Flipped out. And I heard rumors that they are creating a new VR device with an algorithm that shows you whatever you want for gen beta and they will make robots to learn for gen beta. About the AppStore itself, not this

Heads up, you can’t really write a review on the App Store itself (the one this review was written on-) so I’m just writing it here. One, I think the App Store should be able to be reviewed like any other app can incase it has bugs, and two, I was writing a fairly long review on a app to tell them about how I felt about it (I use the app dayily, it’s called finch.) and randomly I got token out of writing it and all of my progress got deleted… this has happened twice but the first time is when I closed the App Store for two seconds to check something for the review I was writing (it was very long) and all of my progress got deleted. They wanted me to pay for product I never received

I ordered a gift card and the tracking never updated beyond “label created”. I contacted support twice over two weeks each time being assured it was on the way. Now i just received an email saying the gift card was redeemed and a replacement/reimbursement will be impossible even though the tracking still confirms i never received the product. I’m fighting hard now to make sure i don’t pay for something that never made it to my home.
The giftcard was for my sister’s birthday. I ordered it two weeks ago. Her birthday is tomorrow. Feels terrible. Don’t recommend.

Loud sound

Sorry I didn’t know where else to put this but why WHY!!!! Would you ever in the name of what ever you find holy make the loud noise warning louder than the music!!!! I use Bluetooth in my car obviously it’s turned up for the base why then does my phone ping this loud mother loving sound to say my music is loud?? When that mother loving long is louder than the music playing. Please explain to me how that is the right course of action. And I can turn that stupid thing off!! I have used Apple since I was 16 I’m 27 now figure it out Apple. It’s getting harder to defend you when stupid stuff like this is still around 10 YEARS LATER!!! Why does this App Store allow apps to lie, cheat and purposely deceive customers.

For the last couple years I see all these gaming apps that promise to pay out lots of money and in most cases hundreds if you play for a couple hours or if you play for so long you will win all this money. You can tell from playing these games and the reviews that the ads are outright fraudulent and deceiving the customer so why is there no action taken against these apps and why are they allowed to keep their app on the App Store. Businesses, people and games should be held accountable for what they say in do and when they purposely lie and deceive players they should face consequences….not be allowed to stay on the App Store ripping players off.

App Store has an Update Bug

Since ios 18, the App Store is losing track of the updates. Upper right the account initials circle reflects how many app updates are available, and correctly counts down as each update is completed. But in the available updates section, as the updates are completing, the count down seems to skip a beat, so when they’re all done updating this number may still show a 1 or a 2 (upper right shows none). You have to manually slide the Updates section down to force it to check how many updates are available to clear the counter.

Please fix this!!

Apple in general is a good working product and device, however I have some complaints about its child safety settings and systems.
When you put the child safety settings onto any device, anything that is linked with an Apple login deletes. It’s erased, you can’t get it back, instead of blocking its use and erasing what’s under it entirely, you could add something that requires a parents approval to let you use an Apple login, or even any login to begin with.
I really hope this is seen and gets fixed.

No Dark Mode Icon?

I use this app often to browse and purchase Apple products. It works great. As of recent iPadOS 18 which introduced a better dark mode experience with specific dark mode icons, this app has yet to update from the stark white background when placed into dark mode. For an Apple specific app, you’d think this would have changed by now? Nearly 99% of the other apps have, and this is updated on iPhone. It sounds like a small annoyance, but when looking at a home screen, or app drawer and there is a singular eye sore and from the developers of the OS itself… it’s a bummer.

Needs more work; needs Vision Pro app

It would be inspiring to me and likely the developers to witness Apple pushing the boundaries of its technologies. This app serves as just one example where I envisioned Apple leading the way in digital shopping. However, the absence of a Vision Pro app is particularly disappointing. Moreover, the current state of the app limits customers’ ability to zoom in on marketing photos. While the pop-up boxes offer an immersive glimpse into display technology on the iPad, they are confined to a small box on a large screen. It would be commendable if Apple paid more attention to the finer details, design, and long-term usability of devices in the app.
Lastly, I kindly request an update on when the order tracking feature in Apple’s Wallet app will be synced with Apple Store app purchases.

Do not purchase from here!!

I missed the UPS delivery by less than 30 minutes (had to work longer than expected) and next delivery day is Monday (I’ll be at work) When I purchased the watch I had the option of delivery the next day or pick up from the store that day, d/t it being a drive in the dark and I can’t see well at night, I chose delivery, instant regret!! This has been the absolute worst experience!! I asked them to hold my package, I’d come get it (this was Friday around 3) well now it’s Saturday and UPS is closed. I asked Apple if I can get a refund and go purchase the exact same watch from the Apple Store that it an hour away, a refund can take 5-7 business days!! Ugh, I just need a watch!!!!

Removing scam apps

I agree w a few there, that in fact, a lot of scam pay apps shouldn’t be in Apple Store. Apple is a name held to a higher standard than most and people put their trust in apple and its products. Apple should be able to tell if apps are scams or not and not include them in their store. Don’t let us down Apple..and lose consumers trust in the products you advertise in Apple Store. People mostly believe if it’s in ur store they won’t be scammed. That’s seemingly not the case as a lot of us have learned the hard way.

Worst customer service I ever had…

I ordered an iPhone 16 Pro Max paid in full on the pre-order. I never got the phone then afer that they told me I can go pick it up from the UPS location, when I get to the UPS location they were not able to find it and I had to call customer service… They never gave me an answer or where able to help me… instead of that they started guessing, at the end they told me they will be contacting me and that never happened…. I still don’t have my iPhone and they processed any refund so I had to open a claim with my card for the charge… THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE… I,ve been buying from apple since a long time but honestly I’m thinking to switch… really good products but TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Extremely Disappointed with Customer Service and Repair Costs

I recently purchased a MacBook Air M3 in July 2024, and my experience with the company has been nothing short of frustrating. After a rain incident, some water got into my laptop, and I rushed to the store for help.
Upon arrival, I was initially told that I needed an appointment, but thankfully, a kind staff member allowed me to see someone after noticing my distress. However, the technician took a long time to arrive and, when he finally did, his attitude was dismissive. He even joked about the model being an Air, not a Pro, before shocking me with a repair quote of 1,100!
I wasn't the only one facing issues—there were others in the store with similar problems, which raises concerns about the quality of these products. The lack of genuine customer service and the outrageous repair costs have left me feeling extremely let down. I expected better from a brand with such a strong reputation.
I hope the company improves its customer service and addresses these issues, as I certainly won't be returning anytime soon. I will switch all my devices to better companies my parents have samsung and we never have been through all this mess before i will not wait i will but my iphone and ipad as a trade in better company

Basics don't matter anymore

Apple as a company has gone downhill. They aren't even getting the basics right, like correct Weather data or voice to text (lately it's been riddled with errors). Their solution is always to just "upgrade to a new phone". Planned obsolescence may work for rich folk in California, but not the average consumer in the Midwest. Why does Apple deserve more of my money? I literally have all the devices. I can't afford to upgrade every single year. I need these things to last for a few years. But they are designed to eventually fail. Fact. Something tells me that Apple's time in the sun is setting. Consumers are tired of this cycle. Maybe it's time for a new CEO.

Apple is only a Controlling mechanism

I had to move from the states for health reasons. I Forgot my Apple ID password in November. Travelled to two countries in Europe to reset password . Both times at the Apple Store, they simply told me it can’t ever be fixed! I’m not even able to delete all and reset! No subscription services I have can Renewed, every minute, I get notification for entering my password continuously.
Apple is a Joke that without the ID password, it works as a $50 phone.
Shame on this monopoly company!

My problem is not with this app

Hello apple, I am not having issues with this app at all, but it’s the App Store itself. I had already purchased a game on here for free, but eventually I had to take it off my phone so I could update my phone. After I updated it, I couldn’t redownload the game because one of my families card information needed to be updated, but what does the card information have to do with redownloading a game I already had. I did multiple trade ins of devices. The first device trade in kit was left in the rain; I had to request a replacement three times over two weeks to get it after being disconnected on twice. The other device trade in kit is stuck in limbo waiting for my new device to ship, which it has and been received. I’ve requested twice to no avail, and the last time I asked if I could just take the device to a store and was told no and probably wouldn’t get my credit through any other method. So I continue to wait and annoy support 1 month+. Would’ve been easier to drive the hour to the store than this.

Bad Apple service

I am Apple loyal client for years but my recent experience with Apple service was horrible.
I bought a Beats Flex and it died suddenly. I brought it to an Apple Store and they sent it to service. A few days later they told me that a mesh inside is missing and refused to service it unless I pay $59 (the headset itself is sold for $69 and you can buy it for $39 at BestBuy).
It is ridiculous that I have no reason to open the earpiece to remove a mesh.
They were not any reasonable in listening to me but insisted if I do not pay, they will not fix it, although they admitted the issue was with the bad battery.
I could never imagine Apple having such a kind of service. I am very frustrated and it would be the last Apple product I buy.

Would be great to see this run on iOS older than 15

Some folks just have older phones right now, but making this app compatible at least with some features for older phones would be very helpful. For example, it can be used in an Apple store to help the specialist learn more about our phone, but only if the phone is new enough. Or to save a recommendation given in the store.

Lies about notification preferences

It’s not every day you see one apple business unit ruining the user experience for the rest of the company. I have notifications for “announcements and offers” turned off for the Apple Store app, but lo and behold, today the app still pushes an ad for Mother’s Day items to me in the middle of my workday. I’m very disappointed by this experience and really hope this is a bug and not a sign that the marketing team is being given license to ruin user experience on apple devices. I am not interested in paying for something that interrupts my life with advertisements. I used to be able to expect way better from apple.

Abominable Business

I am unable to purchase a blue trackpad for my mother to match her blue iMac. I have a ton of Apple products, and my mom has quite of few now, thanks to my recommendation. After talking to several of apple’s support staff, they informed me they cannot sell us the trackpad to match her iMac—she had to have bought it when she bought the iMac! Unbelievable and completely unacceptable. Capitalism is a bottom-up command structure, not a top-down command structure. Apple—you don’t get to tell us what we can and cannot purchase. You should be ashamed of yourselves, but you won’t be because of all the blind yes-men that protect you from any valid criticism. What a shame.

Bought a iPhone 13th max with dead pixels

When I bought my iPhone 13 Pro Max shortly after release, I enjoyed it. That was untill maybe a month later when I was watching Netflix in a dark room & when the screen went black & I noticed 2 very noticeable white pixels that did not turn black on that specific scene. Contacted support & they said bring it in. I said “okay” but life gets busy & the nearest Apple Store is 1 hr away & when I was trying to get this phone I had to go 4 days after another because they made it super annoying & hard to acquire said phone. All I want is a fresh phone with fixed pixels is that too much to ask?

NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

I have been told not to allow my old phone to accept software updates.
After the relentless pop ups asking for the software updates, (and much to my hesitation) I did…and yes my phone, that I really liked a lot, and that was in perfect condition, crashed. And guess what… this multimillion dollar company has no one that is able to fix my phone! They offered to mail it off (for over $300) but no guarantee it could be fixed. If by chance they could fix it, it would be wiped clean and I’d loss everything anyway.
So it worked, let the software updates happen and we crash your phone, and your are forced to buy a new one now! The old one lasted much longer than we thought or wanted! 😡

Beware (no refund) Glow App blames Apple

I recently downloaded an app that was supposed to be a 30 day trial. That didn’t happen, but was fine with the $2.99 MONTHLY subscription only to be charged for the YEAR. The app Glow says they would refund me but CAN’T because of the way Apple has it setup & that Apple would have to refund me. Apple flat out refuses to give a refund. Even partial refund. An Apple representative said that I shouldn’t email again because the decision was final & will not be readdressed. Highly disappointed in a company that I have been loyal to for decades for this lack of service. Also, the app didn’t function as it should have.

The “automatic” update

Why in the world do my apps NEVER just auto update?? Never all the way from the first possibility to the 11 iPhone (currently own) I have the setting to auto update and always have had it set to that but I have to go into the App Store hit my picture for profile and go to purchased apps, scroll through da h and everyone I have ever downloaded looking for the “update” icon. How ridiculous is that?? Maybe I’m not doing something right but I’d assume having that setting I wouldn’t have to do anything after that!!

Not sure what most of the reviewers are going on about. This is by far the easiest app to use. You can search for applications, there are categories, you can see your subscriptions, which apps you have purchased that are abs aren’t on the phone.
Looks like a lot of people are just here complaining about things they don’t like about iOS 15.

Great - Apple is a ripoff! Can’t update App Store because I can’t run iOS 13!

Outrageous! Apple is not only extremely expensive — it is a frustrating RIPOFF! I own 4 iOS devices and a MacBook Pro. Now, my iPads are obsolete and no longer supported because I cannot install iOS 13, in order to update other apple apps that I have already spent a fortune on! Still badly broken for some

Someone had the bright idea of having this app automatically sign into tour local iCloud account on the device. Well & good, but some users still have a separate Apple ID for iTunes & purchases, and we always will apparently, as Apple won’t let users merge accounts.
There is no way that I can find to sign into a different Apple ID if you use one for purchases. There are directions at one point, but they are literally nonsensical. There’s a place in your iCloud settings where you can control which apps use iCloud- but again, this app doesn’t follow the rules and is unlisted.
There is no way to send apple feedback on this issue besides reviews, as on the Apple feedback webpage, this app is not listed with the other apple iOS apps. UPDATE: you can now submit feedback in the app.
Convenience over usefulness seems to be the working mantra for Apple these days, but this issue is especially aggravating. Punishing older customers for issues that they can’t control is extremely bad form.

So disappointed

Well, I am not typically one to leave a bad review but I guess today is a first. Apple let me down today. My ten year old son made some bad choices, guessed and changed our Apple ID password and spent a thousand bucks on in-app purchases. Granted- we should have caught him that day of instead of the next day, but within 48 hours we had confiscated the phone and contacted Apple. They reviewed everything and gave us back $200. I reached out again with no change in results, and one last time for good measure. They aren’t going to budge. I get that we need to be accountable, but we are out $800 and I feel like they could have done more.
