APP won't be useable after next iOS update

I've been using your product since before the App. However, I was using it this morning on a call and was informed that the EMS ALS App will not work after the next iOS update. Do you have plans on an upgrade??? I find this as an integral tool in the field. Please respond. This is important to everyone that use your products. Star rating will change w/ a new update.

This app has great information and is a great reference. The only problem I have is when I open the app it says it needs to be updated and may slow performance if the phone.

What happened

I've used this app many times and now all of a sudden it has no content!!! Please fix ASAP! All I have on my app is a notepad.:-( sad.

Great information, interface needs a tweak.

Anyone in EMS knows about Jones & Bartlett EMS guides. They know and trust the information and most of us are use to flipping through the small spiral bound pages to find the information we need.

This app has all the same information, just laid out differently. I have had this app for several years and have not experienced the problems that the other reviewers have experienced.

The app has never crashed, and I've always been able to get back to the main menu.

The only thing I would change is to tweak the layout. Sometimes you have to go four or five pages deep to get to a particular piece of information. This is time consuming. Other than that...I really enjoy this app!

Disappointed

I contacted customer support about the blank topics screen months ago. They were very apologetic and prompt in response. I was assured that they were looking into the issue and a correction would be made. They offered a refund, but I chose to wait it out between semesters...hoping for an update. Still nothing. Sad face. 😩

I am a firefighter paramedic for a major city, and I use to love this app because it would confirm what I was rusty on, like ped dosages. This new update makes this app worthless to any body. Please go back to the way it was!!!!

New update makes it worthless

The recent update doesn't allow me to get in to the topics section at all! This is the most important section of the app. It shows a black screen! Unreliable when you need it the most! Had to use a secondary app to look up a med. It was great before. Now not worth a cent!

Very useful, just another resource to have at your disposal to double check or confirm yourself. The hard copy is awesome as well the benefits I see to the app are the ability the designer has to add or update information and the likeliness to have your phone in your pocket is greater than that of the hard copy. ( unless your wear ems cargo pants complete with hemostats and a roll of tape hanging from the pocket)

Have had the app on my iPhone for a while and it has come in very handy until the other day I updated the app and noticed that there have been several medications that were taken off the emergency medications list that I commonly used! Add those meds back to the emergency medications list and it would be a five star app again!

I have used the hand guides by Informed since I started out in my EMS career. Now Informed takes their wonderful hand guides and puts them in an iPhone app verison for easy use and reference! I highly recommend all EMS providers download this app, you will use it time after time. It's only a few bucks and well worth it!

Excellent app for EMTP

Excellent app for any paramedic, I suggest future updates add a place to better organize protocol specific notes, put categories to notes to make them easier to find i.e. airway, peds, trauma, etc. Still an overall excellent app!

ALS guide

Not a bad application. I bought the hard copy as well, because people respond better to a flip book instead of a gadget, it makes you appear that you are engaging the patient care instead of messing around on your phone. It is a wonderful quick reference, missing some drugs, but you can't please each state's guidelines in one application.

Great App!!!

This is a very helpful app that one can take anywhere in the field. Very informative and it takes you through the steps of every situation that may occur. With that said, maybe the developers can incorporate ITLS in this app or make a whole new app that covers ITLS. Good job and keep us Firefighters and EMS in tune with the ever changing medical world.

I mainly use the formulary. Not as in-depth as ipharmacy or iresq but good. The other tabs contain most of the info you would find on the old field guides most of us carried way back when. Good app but a little pricey.

Still Alcohol fast

I love this app, and use it primarily for studying, but bring it on clinicals as well. As someone who carries both the bound and the app versions, I can honestly say that not only does the app version allow me to free up a pocket, but it comes with some nifty "2-am-and-left-my-brain-at-the-station" tools to use to calculate anything from APGAR to drip rates. Don't waste money with five separate apps to help you remember drug dosages and dopamine drips. This is all you need... And worth every penny.

Good improvements

This version is much better than the original pdf type version. It is easy to get to the info you need quickly. The algorithms are easy to navigate with additional info at the touch of a button

The various calculators (meds, pedi, burns)are helpful as well.

As a field medic and ER nurse I use my hard copy field guide most everyday. Now with additions like Y-site compatiblity and the convenience of having it next to other apps I use my new field guide will be used even more. Great job!

This is probably one of the most in depth app I have ever had downloaded. I work in an ambulance and this really comes in handy after calls when I need to review something. It's also great to read in your free time, you are enjoying and learning at the same time! It's a great price for an awesome product. I would recomend this to anyone in the medical field!!

Great app

Another paramedic told me about this app. He showed it to me on his I-Phone. I bought it immediately. I used to carry the pocket field guide but now there is no need. I don't miss carrying an old field guide full of out dated information that doesn't update!

I own the hard version and let me tell you, I see more seasoned medics pull this out more than any reference around. We even kept them on the trucks. Worth every penny!!! I own all the apps and gave each 5 stars!!! Buy it, u won't be disappointed.

Great!

I use a informed guide at least a couple times a shift. I no longer need to carry the spiral guide along with my iphone so this is huge plus! The calculator feature is great. It's easy to use and it should prove to be very helpful! I'd recommend this to any medic looking to save pocket space and have a great new tool at their disposal.

Great App

This app was great. I use it a lot while going to paramedic school. Its a great quick reference to use instead of carrying a heavy book around. I like the fact the it does drug calculations for you. It is easier and quicker to use than the old pdf app. Great app keep up the good work!!!
