I ordered an Uber ride at 3am to be picked up from work at 6:55am. They canceled my ride at 6:30am! I have to go get my children ready for and and get my car fixed so I don’t have to depend on an app that cancels rides and leave people stranded! There is NO Excuse to why you all lied and canceled my ride!!!

Alright, let’s be honest. This whole issue with the price has to get fixed. It’s absolutely abhorrent that I click to a $9.00 deal and wait 10 minutes and the app states there are no drivers and it resets the app to the Home Screen and when in try to confirm a ride seconds later the price jumped to $25.00. And I am barraged by way higher priced rides. My car b That’s thievery. Now this isn’t the first time and I’m trying to get a figure on when these “higher price” times because they are changing based off of when I use the app. I started screenshotting the price, the wait, and them saying there are no drivers. Just to screenshot the upcharge and it’s reason moments later for their surplus of drivers that they just stated there were none. The only reason I’m asked to try again is so the price can go up. I’m putting together the screenshots and it’s looking a lot like purposeful embezzlement on the company’s side. I mean, I don’t ride the same time everyday and my schedule is scattered so I’m seeing this malarkey at different times throughout the day. Absolutely unprofessional how Uber is extorting a few more dollars a ride. Inflation is not that bad. Pay your drivers more and bite the bullet. Don’t be like the other companies just out to take all they can and not provide a decent service first. You have no idea how rough my situation has become in my need to utilize the service. Just for 15 days with no car. My word of mouth will not be a positive one.

There are so many things going wrong with this app now. It seems to get progressively worse and worse. So many bugs and issues with getting a ride are making the app unusable. Not to mention the prices have made a dramatic jump over the last few weeks. Uber was pretty helpful when I first downloaded the app but now it’s just trash.

I wanted to reserve a uber for a relative who doesn’t speak English in the USA.

Good luck trying to resolve any issues needing customer service assistance. If your issue isn’t resolved via the app, then you have to submit a request to hopefully have someone from customer service contact you. The only customer service available immediately is for those with an emergency situation. All I wanted to do was make sure that I didn’t double book a trip, because their app acted like it booked my trip, but then nothing showed up in my upcoming trips. So I tried again, and it was the same thing. Very frustrating.
Update: It took Uber 4 days to respond to my original issue when I contacted customer service online. That’s 4 days too long! Seriously what company has a customer service response that takes 4 days?!?! Completely unacceptable!

My driver, Hank, was fantastic! He drove me from Punta Gorda to Fort Myers airport and I made my flight on time. It was a last minute, early morning pick up and he made it easy. In my rush to catch my flight, I left my jacket in his car. Before I landed, Uber had sent and email letting me know how to get my jacket back. I connected with Hank and he mailed my jacket to me. I'd say that's top notch service from start to finish!

Someone stole my Uber account. Made charge after charge. My credit card company caught it. There is no customer service number for Uber. The only number I could find was just a robot that said I needed to contact customer service through the app. Once your account is stolen- this is something you can’t do. You can’t go into your account and ask for service because the fraudster locked you out of your account. I found somewhere online to report it to Uber. It’s been 4 days and I haven’t heard anything back from uber. Other services like Amazon notify you when someone in a different state is logging onto your account. In fact on Saturday when This fraudster stole my account I was easily able to block them from stealing my Amazon account which they attempted to do as well. Uber didn’t text me “are you trying to change the number associated with your account?” Nope. They didn’t do anything. They didn’t flag the account when multiple charges were attempted in a row. In fact- my bank says it looks like charges that were declined it look like had been recharged. Very unhappy with the service- and lack of ability for anyone at Uber to reach out to me after my account was stolen. I wanted my account out of these fraudsters hands and I’m losing any hope of that happening. Uber may be a convenience but when something bad happens don’t count on Uber to even answer a phone call from you

Uber used to be an amazing service, but now it is but a shadow of its former self. Wait times are insane, multiple cancellations, but they are super quick to put holds on your credit card that take 5 business days to be credited back to you. Having to wait 20-30 minutes for a ride is the new normal with Uber and you’re better off calling a cab company at this point.

Disabled my account with zero explanation. No matter how many times I reach other no one can give me a reason as to why, just that I violated their terms of use and the decision is final. I heard someone (who does not use the service) say that Uber as a company is trash and probably the second worst company on the planet behind Tyson meats, which I sort of agree with. You have the absolute worst service, and even Uber eats is a challenge to get food any more. You might as well close down service as recent numbers show you have 15% less service because the word is out: Lyft is superior and everyone should choose them over you guys any day

Needed a ride to an airport, scheduled a trip 3 days in advance and when it came time for someone to show up no one came. Then I tried booking one again and it didn’t tell me until 20 minutes later that no cars were available. Scheduled a Lyft and it found a driver right away and picked us up within 10 minutes. I would give Uber a 0 star but that’s not an option. Highly recommend Lyft.

The driver canceling ride after accepting the ride for 24 minutes then canceled at the last minute. I schedule the ride in advance thinking it will help. Don’t schedule your ride it doesn’t meant anything to them. You can’t even report the driver because there no option for it. The Uber service in San Diego Ca. Is just awful. Out of no where it started costing 3x as much and 3 out of 4 of the drivers cancel on you. The app will tell u a price when u request a ride and then it sends you notifications every 30 seconds telling you the price was adjusted and is now higher. I started using normal taxis, it’s cheaper and they show up on time.

Every time I use the app my I can't get a ride because it keeps recommending riders that cost 3-4x the basic fare. Seems like there's always a "price surge" for lack of drivers but I always get recommended 10+ drivers when looking for a normal ride. Weird huh?

A driver revealed the other day to me that even though he got a ride worth $200,
He got a portion of 3 to 4 dollars out of the whole ride
He said he makes more from lyft than from uber because uber has these “”fees”” that are not really going towards paying the driver so the company really is ripping off the drivers at Uber.

But the thing that constantly pisses me off about this app is it telling me it “found me another ride at a higher price” and when I check it’s 40 dollars more than I expected. I’m not going to pay $50+ dollars to go 5 miles to work. That’s ridiculous. The app tries to strong arm me into this too by repeatedly spamming me over and over again with messages about a ride at a higher price while i sit here for over an hour. If there’s no ride nearby at my price then there’s no ride nearby. Other than that. There are more drivers on Uber than Lyft depending on the hour I need them.

So I’ve been using Uber for a long time and have never had this problem until as of late. I don’t know if it was an update but my god the past few weeks I would call for a ride, then the driver would be a minute or two away, then it would cancel my ride saying “the price has gone up” and would force me to tap the up cost of the new fare before asking for a ride again. It’s super scummy and believe this shouldn’t be an issue. So, yeah, get rid of that feature. It’s really messed up of you guys to do that (this specific instance that got my goat: I’m only needing a 10 minute drive which already cost me 23$ and jumped to 30$ for no reason.)

when i am waiting for a ride for atleast 15 minutes when i go off the app it automatically cancels the ride. i’m not sure if the driver cancels it or it’s just a glitch but it is frustrating and needs to be fixed. But on the bright side the prices are good sometimes and there’s usually always a ride when needed.

I had a ride approved for $15 and the driver canceled on me. The other drivers were $50-60 so I swiped find new driver about 6 times before deciding that I would just walk. So I canceled the request to find new drivers and then I get a charge of $5 for cancelling after the original driver canceled.
