Not worth the effort
I understand that this app is designed for you to make a few dollars (emphasis on a few) while you’re already in store. Specifically that the pay doesn’t factor in mileage and drive time to the gig and this is more like finding a quarter on the floor kind of side gig.
That being said, my last gig wanted up to 35 photos and paid $3.
I did the work as instructed and was immediately denied after the gig was uploaded. Apparently since there was only one location in the very small store assigned that had the required products instead of multiple locations in store that stocked “pest control“ (like what does that even mean? Bug repellent? Ant spray, rodent traps/ poison or weed killer? The app wasn’t really helpful in that regard) my work was rejected.
There was literally one 4 foot section of shelves that had anything that could be considered “pest control”. And I specifically wrote that down in my gig description notes.
TBH for $3 (or more $$ ) it’s never going to be worth my time and effort to try to complete a gig for this app even if I am in the store doing my own shopping or other gig work moving forward.
In comparison to other apps that have you submit photos there isn’t clear instructions to complete a gig when there isn’t in store the type of items or displays they indicate they want photographed.
For instance this gig paid $3 to take up to 35 photos, asked numerous questions and required finding multiple places in the store that carry the items requested- like how much time will that take?
10 minutes = $18 per hour
But the more realistic 30 minutes that it would take to complete this task in an average size store = $6 per hour. But you’re not getting that hourly rate, right?Especially because these gigs are extremely sporadic (like once a month or less in my area) and as so many other field agent apologists have said, “ this app isn’t meant to be a full time job “
Tbh I think that digging through garbage cans at the store for recycling to return for cash makes more sense than this app as a side hustle. I mean because after all that’s whole and entire point - making some extra cash, right?
Deleted app, my account and done.
