I love playing Euchre! This app is fun while playing with other real players. Giving the game the first 2 stars, given its clean fair, and when you get that sore loser, that quits because they get Euchred, the game doesn't end, rather just replaced with a robot. Which is why this game lacks the last 2 stars. The Robot. My "partner" will call up trump, almost every time I want to go alone, and I would have no problem except, he has only one or two trump. Uuuggghhhh so frustrating going from scoring potentially 4 points to your opponent scoring 2 instead. It's almost as if I'm playing against 3 people. Possibly use the "count on your partner for one" when the robots call trump, just get rid of this "count on your partner for 3" thing they have going on. I would love to keep playing this game, but in my most recent encounter, I had such. J(d) A(d) K(d)Q(d) 10(d). Seems to me like a loner diamonds hand. Instead my partner calls trump, Spades. Not ordering up the 10(c) that the opponent to my left turned up. My partner leads with the right bower, I think GREAT start. Draws out a K and 10 neither from me of course. My partner then threw 4 consecutive cards without throwing another trump that hand. 😑😢😭 sorry maybe I'll give a better review when this is fixed. Also I like the stats section (to end on a good note) it's really cool, I gave you a star for that, not for gameplay, or robot decisions.

Love the game. Love the app. Only thing wrong is that in normal play for a loner one would run the trumps out in hopes the opponents would get rid of the off suite. Other than that it's great!!

There are so many little tweaks that could make this game better, like first off cut down on the time that an "idle" player gets before being booted. There is no longer a chat window in the rated games, you can't even acknowledge a "nice one" from the quick comment tags get rid of the NoWay! And give us a thanks or thank you. And now with the rated games there should be a lower division or something, because what prompted this review is I just finished a game with somebody who I'm guessing has probably never heard of euchre before playing, they had the chance to throw off suit after I had already secured the point and then they over trumped me with high bower not once or twice but 3 times and we ended up getting euchred all three times and ended up losing the game 10-9. Seriously these rookie players need to earn their stripes before playing rated games. ***Update*** fix the criminally stupid Ai players. ***** UPDATE NUMBER 2 for the love of the game, again FIX THE CRIMINALLY STUPID Ai PLAYERS *****

Great program helps my game a lot

Regardless of the setting, the computer players' strategy is terrible.

Pretty much everything you could ever want from a euchre app.

The only thing it could improve on is speed and that mostly has to do with the fact that it's human players and sometimes they're distracted with other things.

I think it should auto play cards when you have no other choice, like if a spade was played and you only have 1 spade so you have to play it. It shouldn't be instant like the AI, otherwise you'd be able to tell when it auto played and know they don't have anymore of that suit. This should help speed up the game when people aren't paying attention.

Also I think the AI should always be running in the background and auto play when someone doesn't play a card in 10 seconds. That should be more than enough time to pick a card to play. That person shouldn't get kicked though unless it happens a second time. This might be too much for new players so maybe only have it in ranked games.

Lastly, and this is nitpicking, I wish the pass button was a bit thicker. I keep fat fingering and have to tap a bunch to hit it lol.

My parents taught me this game when I was young and have not gotten to play it much. Now I can!

I've played this a lot and I've finally had enough. When you order up to partner, they should short suit them self. And should not throw off instead of trumping. I've had it. I started playing the euchre app by trickster. I'm getting terrible cards but at least my Ai partner plays like they have a brain.

I've been playing euchre for years and this app for a few years. The latest update made me not even want to play anymore. My partner is an idiot. ex: my partner calls trump the other team has 2 tricks and trump has been lead. My partner takes the 3rd trick has buck trump and an ace in his hand but leads the ace

Played this for a few days and have been Euchred a ton because the CPU partner is terrible. NEVER leads trump smh

This Euchre game is one of my favorites. I can play w/someone or alone. I do not need an internet when playing alone. This game allows me to stop in the middle of a game and then continue the game a day or week or month(s) from now. It's a great game to play while in a doctor's office or waiting on an airplane.

The partner on here is incompetent. Plays cards out of order. Orders up trump on nothing. Doesn't matter what skill level you set it at, the computer partner is stupid.

It's not the worst game and, at a glance, appears to be flawless. However, it becomes clear after playing for a while that your partner seems to just play whatever strikes his fancy instead of adhering to basic logic with the order of his cards, and, more often than not (if he has a loner hand) giving up a perfect loner hand because he didn't pull everybody's trump before playing his off-suit aces. Or, when you call trump and he has the left bower, he won't usually throw it until the end, so you have no idea where the left bower is after you throw the right and are stuck trying to decide whether or not to play the rest of your trump. Also, he calls trump way too often despite my having his play style set to "very conservative," the lowest of four settings, and we go set somewhere between two and four times a round because of that bad decision. Everything else is flawless, though, including the opponents. They function well together and have fantastic logic when it comes to the aforementioned points, so much so that they seem to be able to read each other's minds. There's definitely some table-talk going on here. The one thing I have to say in its defense is that it's good for beginners and those who have no idea how to play, but it's poorly programmed for anyone looking to improve or who is already very good. Good graphics, smooth play, but poor execution overall.

I love euchre and I have always loved this app. However, I recently started playing the new rated version which I was very excited about. After a few weeks, I got my ranking up quite high. Then I started to play all these "bots" I assume (with the cartoon-like pictures). When they're my partner, they call the worst hands, overtrump me, etc. All stupid stuff. But the worst is when I face them. For example, today I was up 9-4 before my two opponent "bots" proceeded to get 4 loner hands in a row! How does that happen?! They ALWAYS get perfect loners and I think there is some sort of cheating involved. It's making it impossible for me to win a game. If you want people's true rankings, take away the stupid bots. They're making me really hate this feature of the app.

The game can be fun, but it is too frustrating. I end up restarting many games because my AI partner is an idiot. Even though I have it set to "Very Conservative", it will call trump with only two cards or no jacks. It loses hands at least once a game, and I am not exaggerating. It will also call trump when I just happen to have none of the trump cards or when I have a beautiful hand, and proceed to lose. I also saw my partner throw a non-suit ace while holding onto a nine. Would have won if it had played the ace last.

Also, it seems odd that one of the opponents will call trump, and it will have only one or two trump cards while their partner has three or four.

I would like to support the developer, but I refuse to pay until I don't feel cheated.

Only giving this one star under the assumption that the developers will read the review and consider these suggestions, otherwise best euchre game on the AppStore👌🏼... On multiplayer a feature that would allow us to add players we play with to a friend list would be great, otherwise if we enjoy playing with someone we cannot play with them again without revealing personal info to the person and whole lobby to stay in contact. Also for single player it would be great if we could edit the skill level of each bot individually, or at least have the option to change the skill level of your partner (along with their conservativeness which is a great feature) to either challenge yourself or for newer players to get some help.. thank you for your time and consideration hopefully we will see these additions in the near future, good game 👍🏼

This game has some serious flaws. First of all, the only level you can play is the beginner level, with dumbed down opponents. If you try any other level, the game's idea of intermediate and advanced is to give your opponents all the good cards while you get absolutely crappy hands. Impossible to even win a trick. I set my game to the easiest level in hopes of even enjoying the game, but i still get crappy hands, with about 70-80 percent of the time my hand consisting of 3 or 4 '9' or '10' cards. It usually takes about four complete games before I get a hand I can actually call trump on. Finally, the computer plays the opponent hands like they can see what the other person has and will fail off on a trick it knows the partner has the Ace or highest winning card. All of this makes you feel like you're really just watching the computer play the game and not even a consideration in the play.

I've played this game nearly every day for the last few years; along with my morning coffee, it's part of my routine. Buying the ad-free version is a good idea. Your computer partner sometimes makes questionable decisions but, in my opinion, this is probably the best game out there. *Update: I wrote to the game's maker about the partner's play and they wrote back and said they were looking into it. As far as I can tell lately, with the setting for your partner on the most conservative, it has improved. As long as that's the case I can't think of a single negative about the game. Definitely five stars.

I have been playing euchre since I was a teenager and am now 61 years old. It is absolutely my favorite game. My brother and I used to run tournaments years ago. Without question these are the worst euchre playing I have ever seen. Whoever set up the game to determine what to play and when should be fired!! I am sorry to be so direct but some of the plays are just down right stupid. If needed I could give you a clinic on how to play. It really ticks me off when I am playing and my partner continuously makes dumb plays. I love this game and sometimes play for hours at a time. You really need to redo the playing of this game because I am almost embarrassed by some of play. Anyway, I still love playing the game

The app works well & fine. But it is extremely lopsided and at times very unfair. Don't take my word for it, but I am a very experienced player and I understand sometimes you just get dealt unlucky cards. But it happens so often with this app. I have gone multiple games in a row with not ever calling it trump, due to the fact of never getting a solid hand. Too many times to make it very unrealistic and not random. The AI is very poor as well. It will play out all of its Aces when not necessary and could have used one as a stopper on the final hand, but already foolishly played it. Which is not likely to happen by even a decent player with mild experience. Whatever, it is what it is.

Love this euchre game,but the strategies it employs are not sound. For example, it is generally felt in Euchre that you do not order the jack up to your partner when they are the dealer. This prevents your partner from potentially going alone. Also, when your opponents call trump and your partner holds the right bower, your partner (computer) leads out with the bower when they are to the left of the dealer. Nobody would ever do that in a game. All you do there is help your opponents win by drawing out your partner's trump cards and your opponents immediately learn who has the right. I've also seen times when my computer partner calls trump with only the ace trump in their hand. Stupid! And no, I'm not playing "stick the dealer".

I wish the programmers would spend some more time on improving the strategy.

While I like the visual layout, the AI is awful. Your partner goes on dicey hands but the opponents don't. The partners definitely cheat. They often play perfectly into each other's hands or they layoff when they shouldn't, only to have their partner cover every time. They almost never lead the right unless you have a dry left. They will suit you to death more often than not and have both bowers an uncanny amount of times. It's seriously frustrating to play a rigged game. After playing 250 games, my winning percentage approaches 60%, then mysteriously draw the worst cards until I go back to 58%. Uncanny. Hey, if you can't program the game to compete, don't stack the deck. I haven't had both bowers to play from in over 4 games, yet they have at least 3 times per game. BS. They opponents peek, period. No question about it. Play it straight up people, it's like continually playing against cheaters. I emailed the company and raised the issues and all they said was that they appreciated the feedback. No denying the cheating part. Darn shame. Could be really fun. To all the people giving super positive feedback, they just aren't good players and don't know any better.

This is probably one of the better euchre games out there but the AIs are ridiculous! In single play, your AI partner will general get set at least once a game. Recently, I saw the greatest set ever by the AI in that it got set and didn't win a single trick!!! It's very aggravating!!! They will call it with barely any trump, then not call it with half the trump. There's no continuity in how the AIs play so there's no accommodation for it either.

Then, there's the fact you AI partner will trump you for NO REASON, sometimes resulting in being set.

There are many times that I feel like I'm not even really playing because I almost never get to call trump...especially when my AI partner needs to meet its trump quota for the game. Ugh!

First, this is a great realization of euchre. However, with the latest update I have noticed two issues with the single player game. First, my computer partner, who was already very stupid, is now a TOTAL idiot. Second, while I used to get roughly 1 good loner-playable hand per game on average, the number is something like 1 per 8 games. I held off a long time to see if this was just a statistical fluke, but after about 85 games, I believe it is not. It appears that the hands are no longer being dealt randomly. I still give it a 5 though because this game is tweaked by updates all the time, and it will no doubt change again.

Not sure if there was a recent update, but for the last 3 weeks my computer partner has TOTALLY sucked. We have been getting set >50% of the time when he calls it and he has been calling trump with one card of that suit (I haven't changed my partners playing level either). This is miserable and my win/loss record is totally taking a hit. I've played hundreds of games with this app prior to these 3 weeks and have never seen such garbage from my partner. I've also notice that my opponents also begin each hand with my weakest off suit about 99% of the time. At best I would expect this to happen about 75% of the time, but 99% of the time leads me to believe that the algorithm for this app needs to be updated. People that know how to play this game and understand the odds will soon leave this app for more realistic game playing apps.

As someone who was only a little familiar with the rules of euchre this game was amazing. It taught me the rules as I played and gave me as much time as I needed to pick it up . So if your a beginner like I was I would definitely recommend this because it's euchre's a tricky game and sometimes it's tough to find someone willing to sit down with you till you get it. So all in all I'd say this app gets a 10 out of 10 for being beginner friendly, though now that I've gotten some time playing under my belt I'll have to check out how to adjust difficulty

I am from Spain and started playing euchre with my wife's family who's from Indiana. That being said, I really like this app. To me, it's very close to playing in real life with my loved ones. Of course, it will never be exactly the same as playing alongside/against a human BUT this is an app after all and, fuerthermore, it's free. That being said I really think the simulation of the game is very close to that of real life and the strategies and flow of the game are really well programmed. You can change the difficulty level and the names of the players, which is cool (to me, anyway 😃) and a couple other things. I don't like the adds (who does 😃) but then again if you hate them completely you can pay a couple bucks and get rid of them forever. Overall this is a must have if you like euchre.

Okay. I am from Michigan and in collage we played it levery day. Here is what the game is lacking. Ace-no-face (an A and 9 or 10) hand.

Also, your partner play an A. It goes around the table that same suit (everyone place that suit lead or some one discards another suit. You are the one that hasn't that suit played In real life the person who lead that A (your partner). Would either play that same suit hopping I would trump it or lead the suit I just discarded.

In other words the game is not perfect. But frustrating for a player like me.

Also, if the hand goes around twice it would be nice to have an option to make the dealer have to call a suit.

If you like euchre or are even remotely interested in learning, get this app. I've acquired something like 3 full days of playing time since I bought it. Well worth the money.

However, if the developers are reading this, I think a double expert level would be great. One that allows you and the computer to renege, and allows the player to shift his/her cards instead of doing it for you. Showing the player what they can play is great for learning the game, but half the fun is watching and waiting for others to screw up.

I have given up playing this game, the logic is so poor. My partner is incredibly dumb. He never has any help. He calls trump on very poor hands and gets set most of the time. When I call trump, he never leads one to pull them out so our suit is good, even when he has 3 trump. He leads some off suit that I have the ace for and it gets trumped. He does not trump in with the bowers even when he should. And trumps opponents low off suits not giving me a chance to play my suit ace. The opponents are worse. I believe they know what everyone has. When I call trump with them leading, they ALWAYS lead your off suit or something their partner will trump. And they somehow can trump nearly every ace. They always know what to keep when you go alone. And when they bid, their partner almost always has 3 trump, so they are impossible to set. And they turnover jacks 40% of the time (no lie). And if you do get ahead by 4 or more, they get a loner. DO NOT buy this game, you will HATE IT!!!

Ok eucher fans, or future euchre fans. Wanna play euchre??? This game is perfect to learn the game and then to take on the rest of the world. Some people say the AI is terrible, I haven't seen that...they play fine enough to challenge you while learning or refreshing the rules of the game. Heck, I've lost to the AI before. This app's best feature is the multiplayer option. I can play all day long and the chat feature on the app is great...players don't have time to really make stupid remarks, and so far, people in the app respect other players quite well. The game moves too quickly for any real conversation other than "good job", "ouch", "sorry", etc. the one thing this needs is...STATS!!! I want to be able to click on another player's icon and know how they have done so far as Dara's wins losses. I started out kind of bad, like four losses, and now I win 3 out of 5 games or so. Anyway, I just like see more stats as it pumps me up to win more games. Secondly, please have an option to remove the 3D display. I have always preferred 2D for these kinds of games. Great app!

The gameplay of this app is tremendous. The computer does make some unjustified calls sometime but so does the opponent so it's pretty even in the end.

The one thing I wish was added was the option of a "farmers hand". In Michigan we play that if you receive a combination of three 9's or 10's you are able to switch them out for the left over cards that weren't dealt. The game is great without them but the addition of this option would make the app even better!

Recommend that if you love euchre or want to learn how to play to download this app. Very addicting!

The game is accurate and has the rules correct. The issue is the strategy is flawed. As advanced player, the computer partner is less than dependable. The computer plays all hands as if it doesn't know what has been previously played. The strategy of trying to take the last trick, always, is flawed. I have lost a number of hands because my partner would not trump an available trick when they could have done so. Also, there is a miss deal called when one player has all nines and tens with no trump. This app did not call a miss deal when that happened.

The creator also was taught the game incorrectly so the strategy played by the computer is based on taking the last trick versus a strengthen both hands philosophy.

I play almost all hands as loners as it is easier and safer.

Best Euchre game on the App Store! There are a couple things about the AI players that are annoying, however. One is that they always save the Right Bower until the last trick, which nobody in real life would do. Second, when going alone, they play cards according to a different hierarchy than normal. Instead of playing trump high to low, then other cards high to low, they play all cards high to low. For example, my partner went alone with Right, Left, Ace, and 9 of trump, and an offsuit Ace, and he had the lead, and still managed to not win all five tricks. That was because he led the Right, then the Left, then the offsuit Ace which got trumped instead of leading all four trump and saving the other ace for last. The AI never used to play so unintelligently until the recent update, I think.

You get dealt far more 9s & 10s than chances would allow, your partner is a moron, and you rarely get a bidding hand. Most of your points come from setting the other team or on your partner's bids. I'm lucky to get any more than 1 or at best 2 bidding hands in an entire game. Your partner makes bids out of the blue on extremely weak hands, and I'm tired of constantly being dealt (4) 9s & 10s and a freaking queen every hand! It really is an awful game which stinks because I love to play Euchre. I'm not expecting to get a loner dealt to me every hand but I've been playing Euchre for over 30 years and have never received so many worthless deals in a single game. The only reason I gave it a second star is because you can play online and avoid using the idiot program partner.

Euchre has always been one of my favorite card games to play. This app makes euchre quick and easy to learn, along with fun multiplayer. However the multiplayer needs to be improved...a lot! There should be ratings of easy,medium, and expert players. Rankings are based on your wins and how much you win or lose by. The other option is you should be able to see your partner and your opponents current statistics playing the game. Then finally the last thing that should be worked on is the rooms. If you are going to have different rooms for different players and difficulty level they should have to win enough games to earn their way into playing in the advanced rooms...so many beginners just join the room because that's where most people are.

After reading a few of these reviews it's pretty much clear that the app is great. A couple of the options like farmers hand would be nice but the only thing I would like, and can't imagine this would be a huge challenge, is add an option to remove the language filter. I've been playing euchre for a couple years and it's always been with adults my age and the occasional swear word gets thrown out. It's fun and part of the game to me and when playing with friends it makes it that much better. If you like the filter keep it, otherwise just give the option to remove it. Only if removed can you see it, otherwise it will be filtered like normal.

I absolutely love Euchre. My entire family has played it for years and so I have grown up playing this addicting card game. So just the simple fact that this app is a game that I love makes me enjoy it.

However, there are some things that I think could be added or changed to greatly improve the app. For one, I think there should be more house rules added to give the game some variety. Something like "farmer's hand" or "ace no face." Also, in regards to the new achievements that were recently added. I think it was a great idea, giving some incentive to try new strategies, but the amount of sheer playing time and dedication needed to unlock them is way beyond what any normal player should be on the app.

So in closing, I really love this app, but it could be greatly improved with just a few minor changes, and when these things come to happen, I will give 5 stars.

I love Euchre and this app is amazing. I never get to visit my family, and Euchre is a game that we have always played as a tradition whenever I visit.

The ONLY thing I would want from this app (which may be quite more difficult) is to add "double deck euchre" or "bid euchre". Regular euchre is definitely fun, but it's so easy to end up with awful hands or to have a hands down loaner deck but to have that option ripped away by someone that bids before you.

Double deck euchre requires a LOT of skill, it is super rare to end up with an awful deck, and everyone has a chance to bid and overbid as opposed to the being locked in at the first bidder in regular euchre.

This app has the best euchre gameplay of any, which is most important. Gameplay is smooth and the computers are generally intelligent. There are a couple of scenarios where I think the computer makes the "wrong" move, but it does that regardless of whether the computer is your partner or your opponent, so at least it is fair. Lots of fun!

A few updates ago, the iPhone advertisements did become more annoying – instead of an ad along the top of the screen, an ad popped up after each game.

One of the things I wish they would do is add the auto play option when you're playing against other players. Against the computer, once the game is decided (one team has at least three tricks and other team has at least one), the hand just automatically finishes itself. It would be good for that to happen in the multiplayer version.

Anyone who gives this game 5 stars has never played real euchre. Game is incredibly frustrating in the respect that it is passed off as realistic. The deals to AI opponents defy natural odds and there is clearly something "rigged" about it... 85% of the time I can predict when opponents will throw a specific suit. When its opponent's deal, 1 out of 3 times the suit card turned over will be a J. The odds of getting dealt both jacks in real life are 1 in about 6000 but this seems to occur every hand. "Go-it-alone" hands are even rarer, but these happen several times in one game, sometimes in consecutive hands. Partner plays like a half-wit; will pass when holding J,Q,10 but will call trump with only A,K. If this were real life, you would never play with this person. Partner leads trump unnecessarily when it's the opponent's game (for this alone the developers should be hanged.).

Pay attention to the plays after a while and you'll start to see the patterns designed in to skew things on favor of your opponents. even when you win, it feels contrived, like it was given to you. 2 stars because the UI is excellent and it's probably a good fast way to practice how hands turn out if you are trying to improve your skills for real games.

Really liked the app, and the ad banners weren't that big of a deal. But the recent update stinks, and I'm trying to figure out exactly WHY somebody felt an update was even necessary!! Why "fix" something that isn't broken?? Ten times harder to recall trump since the large suit symbols were removed from the middle of the playing field. The compass-like arrows made it MUCH easier to recall who's turn it is, but now your eyes have to go all over the place to spot where the tiny grey turn indicator arrow appears. Don't even get me started on the latest ad onslaught I'm subjected to before I'm allowed to close out of a game! I thought about just coughing up the dough to avoid it, but the actual game interface has turned out to be such a pain, that I just don't really play much anymore. Epic FAIL!

Update 2. They tried polishing their update with "brighter" icons. Trying to cram too much into a small space. The trump icon on the middle of the table was easy to see and always in the same spot so there was never a need to search. All of the tricks were counted in one spot again no searching. Polish this sows ear all you want, it ain't never gonna be a silk purse. Just admit you made an error and put most of it back the way it was.

Update 1 i have quit playing since the updates. Please fix. I normally play every evening.

Most of the "updates" make gathering information more difficult. Moving the trump suit Icon from the middle of the playing area was senseless. Now you have to search for the tiny little icon hidden in the dealers info center instead of a quick look at the now empty center of the playing surface. Who has won how many tricks? Another search of each players information center instead of one look at a centralized information. The only positive note I can see is the smaller pop-up for trump selection.

I really like this app and play it nearly every day. 2 pieces of logic need to be changed, though:

1) The computer player calls trump and is first to act. The first lead is a non-trump ace. If that ace makes it through, the computer lead is then the right bower. Why risk the ace to being trumped? Lead the right first and hopefully pull trump from the opponents. Then the ace may be led and it is more assured of taking a trick.

2) The computer players call loners when they seem assured to take 3 of the 5 tricks, regardless of what 5 cards they are holding, or what the score is. First - no reason to go alone when a team has 8 or 9 points. Why not keep your partner to strengthen your chances to take all 5 tricks? Secondly, going alone without the right bower or with side card(s) that are lower than kings are a waste. I've seen loners called with 3 trump, 3 suited, with the other 2 cards being queen or lower!

These questionable plays are what have kept me from purchasing the app. I have very few apps, and am tight on what I purchase. This would be a for sure purchase if the play logic is improved.

I have been playing this game for a long time. When the full screen popups started I contacted the authors support site and within 2 hours they had contacted me back advising that they had blocked the advertising network that was shoving out the full size screen ads and that they are in the process of changing their ad provider to eliminate that kind of stuff from happening again. You get more done by contacting support than just writing a bad review.

This game is an excellent basic version of euchre. Yes, the AI does make some interesting moves like going alone with hardly anything, but it's not like it happens all the time. I would like to see some additional switches like STD or partners best but compared to other euchre games I have downloaded this one is solid and worth your time, either the free version or the paid version.

The game is pretty good but I've enjoyed it much more prior to this last upgrade where the ads now pop up in the middle of play. First they cause the obvious distraction and one forgets what was played, and secondly when they pop up at the same time as the order up/pass modal window, the table is obscured by the ad and if you didn't get a chance to see the deal and/or turned up card, you screwed and have to kill the game. Please have then pop up before the first deal or when the game is over, or go back to previous version with just the banner ads. Yes, I'm cheap. Have to be, I own a Dodge truck, gulp.

There are better euchre apps that are more user-friendly and clearer in terms of player position, i.e. dealer, caller, lead, but this one is fairly easy to use. My biggest complaint is with the actual gameplay techniques. I realize you can change the aggressiveness & skill level of the computer players, but even after manipulating those features, I'm still confused at the method of play. Reserving bowers for the last tricks, throwing low trump or off-suit aces first during loners, trumping partners' tricks or throwing low trump when opponent has already taken trick with high trump instead of throwing an off-suit card. The computer's strategies just don't make any sense in terms of technical euchre methodology. If you don't care about the technique too much though, the game is fine to play.

This app works very well and runs smoothly, but as an avid euchre player, I cannot get over how unrealistic some of the hands dealt can be. Without fail, this game will deal the computer a loner when I am winning 9-6 so the computer can win. If I am nearing ten points, my hands become worse and worse, even on easy mode I can't get a good hand if I have more than 7 points! My partner will call trump for no apparent reason, while the computer will call trump with only ace and nine and then his partner has the left, right, and king. This game is unrealistic and annoying. Until the computer doesn't "know" what's in his partner's hand or the hands are actually random, I need to download another euchre app before I throw my phone at the wall.

Interface is great. Method of playing by flicking cards upward or double-tapping is very intuitive.

The strategy employed by the computer players could use some improvement. For example, if I call trump and the computer "partner" has the chance it should lead trump (ESPECIALLY when it has one of the bowers). Instead, it frequently will lead some off-suit that one of the opponents then trumps.

The "auto play" feature is nice, where it will quickly finish a hand if one team has three tricks and the other team has one, or in the rare case that a team is euchred after the first three. It would be even better if there were some option to trigger it when I know that the last two or more cards in my hand will win, for example if there are three tricks left to play, and what's in my hand are the two bowers and the ace of trump.

Would also be nice if there was an option to play without having the app highlight the cards that are legal to play. If I try to play some wrong card, maybe have it flash the card that was led, or even just ignore my input.

Not a bad app, but has some "idiosyncrasies" that are frustrating. As others have noted, your partner is a moron: holds trump instead of leading when he should, call trump very thin, frequently spoiling your near lay-down... Your opponents seem to get very timely luck. No lead of yours is safe: they seem to get loners and euchers in batches. I have been euchered more times in the last two weeks when making trump 2-suited (three trump, no bauers) then I did in 4 years of college. Inevitably all trump are out and the bauers are held by the opponents. Very aggravating and unrealistic. Playing Hoyle is harder than in real life, though part of that is your moron partner. Looking forward to updates that may correct some of these issues.

I've been wanting to write a review about this app for a long time and then a game yesterday triggered this review. To be clear, I play this game a lot because I love euchre, but the plays of your partner can be exceptionally frustrating. In one game yesterday I was ordered up by my partner when I had a lay down loner and I took all 5 tricks and then in the same game my partner got euchred twice while taking only one trick each time. Ugh! I am also amazed how many times my partner calls trump and does not play the right when he/she has multiple trump. So many times we could have taken all 5 tricks but settle for fewer because of poor play. I'm addicted so I just deal with it, but app could be so much better if your partner made smart plays. Would love to find a better app alternative.

Overall this is the best euchre app I've played, but it suffers from some annoying tendencies from your partner and occasional questionable collusion between your opponents. Your partner will occasionally (seemingly Increasingly lately-perhaps the recent update?) call with one trump and no aces in hand. He will also throw off when he has a trick winning trump in hand. The opponents will engage in plays that magically work: leading the left when the right isn't out yet, but, magic! Their partner has the right...every time. I see both the opponent and my partner leading low trump on a play that works only because the partner has a higher trump. Overall a lot of fun, but needs better AI.

I have been playing with Canadian loaners - otherwise it is way to easy. The problem is the auto partner keeps calling loaners and not taking even 3 tricks. If you have low chance of taking 3 tricks why play alone? The Canadian loaner already makes you go alone to have your partner pick up trump.

Next beef, after suffering through a partner that is calling loaners and getting set, the partner never takes a risk at game point for the other team and calls trump. I would rather play my best hand at game point then let the other side call it. The stats show that the caller will usually make it.

From a visual side, it would be nice if you could see who the dealer is when it is your turn to call trump and see the up card. If I have set my phone down I may forget or not seen the play before me.

Nice game, fun to play. Good options for speed of play, opposition and partner. The more difficult you set the opposition and partner the more reasonale they play. However, not very intelligent play by partner when you call the trump and your partner tries to save the bauers or ace's until last trick. This tends to force partners to play against one another than with each other. If i call the trump i would expect my partner let me know if he has a bauer or ace as soon as possible. To often the partner will pla off the trick with a different suit, leading me to believe he has no help for me onlt to find out we end up playing against eac other. A lot of times that will lead to being euchered. Frustrating and unrealistic. Partners should play together and not for oneself. Game should be geared to consumer, not computer partner.

I love euchre, and overall, I really like this game. However, the partner settings really make a drastic difference in how the cards are played. Also, it took me some time at first to figure out the colored arrows in the upper right let you know who was dealing and who had called trump. The ads on top also often obscure who is dealing, but I'm too cheap to spend a buck to remove the ads...and the small arrows solve that problem once you figure it out. But the ad does severely obscure your partner, and some flashing ads could cause epileptic seizures for this prone to it. I'd rather watch a 10 second ad when I first start up the game vs the distraction of the ad banner always covering my partner.

If you like euchre or want to learn the game this is a good app. The rules are really good and the play is great. What I hate about most euchre games is the stupidity of your computer partner. You can adjust the risk setting for your partner to have them play more or less like you. The game operation is smooth and it keeps stats o your play. I fancy myself a pretty god player and I've onlonion about 40% of the games on he hardest setting so I don't get bored.

Great features easy play and good price. This is the best euchre game I've seen so far. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that there is no "portrait" play (landscape only) and you can't play against other real people on line. Oh well you can definitely pass the time.

I'm being a little picky with only four stars because this game is better than most others in every way. I'm only going 4 on the off chance that someone read and try to make a fix. My complaint, however, is vague. The computer players are a little too predictable and are pretty consistent in some behavior that makes absolutely no sense. My one for instance will be leading the big jack when the opponent took the bid. Both the teammate and the opponents do this seemingly always but from a strategy perspective it almost never makes sense. Anyway, still great and you should get it if you like euchre.

You can adjust the speed of this game, but I play fast the way most decent players prefer. I really like how there is an auto-throw (something like that) that quickly gets through the rest of the cards in a hand when the outcome has been determined. You can shut this off if it others you. There are some achievements, but nothing special. The ads are on the top of the screen but aren't a distraction at all as they don't blink or anything. I can usually get through a 10 point game in less than five minutes.

I was looking for a good Euchre app and this one fits the bill. Yes, everyone has their own little rules differences that they would like to see, and I have mine too, but for the most part, this one pretty close to realistic. I'd like to see Ace-no-Face, or Farmer's Hand re-deals, but that's ok that they aren't there. Like real game play, sometimes, you just don't get the cards.

The AI does pretty well and for the most part, on the medium skill players, my partner has responded well to what I am trying to get from them. They over trump ooccasionally, but not any worse than I do. Most times, they just don't have the cards I was hoping that they did.

The achievement section is a nice touch- keeps track of some unique facets to the game... except that I would not call getting euchred on a loner an "achievement." I'd give that one negative points.

Overall, a nice app, good game play, let's me pass time when I want to, and I am enjoying it. The ads in the lite version are not over bearing, and I'll deal with them for the "free" price of the app.
