Description
ServerControl allows you to reboot or shutdown your Windows computers as well as control their services remotely from your iPhone, wherever you are.
Managing Windows servers inevitably means rebooting them, or restarting services, and ServerControl is a very convenient way to do this. If you’re out of the office, simply connect over your VPN and initiate a reboot or restart a hung service.
For home users, if you stream videos to your iPad whilst in bed, use ServerControl to shut down your PC afterwards.
ServerControl connects directly and doesn’t use or require a Remote Desktop session.
No additional software is necessary on the remote computer.
REBOOT/SHUTDOWN
- Immediate or delayed reboot/shutdown.
- Choose whether running applications should be forced to close.
- Choose from 4 editable messages to display to logged on users.
- Efficient protocol use. Doesn't use RDP.
- Can re-schedule a reboot/shutdown even if someone else has already scheduled one.
- Windows machines only. Macs can not be rebooted or shutdown with ServerControl.

Doesn't work
Is been so long since this app has been updated, that ios10 is saying that it may slow down my iPhone. The app did not work on ios10.

Server Control has always been useful, but the 2.0 adds "Scan" support, easier to use, and a more modern design. Thanks for the update!

This app really works great. I had issues shutting down winxp and windows 7 but with help of support I was able to resolve it immediately.

Doesn't work at all.
I have this app all setup to a laptop running xp, full blown admin permissions, password and all, and it keeps saying, you may not be an admin, and access denied. If I'm admin that can't happen. It connects but I can't do anything.

Must have for Administrators
You can set up access to multiple machines. Shut down processes or entire pc. When you get that HELP phone call. See all running applications and processes and fix it from wherever you are. A real life saver. Combine it with netportal or the browser this company also sells and you have all you need to be the hero of the IT dept.

Need an iPad version
This software works great on my iPhone, but on the iPad it's only so-so. I noticed I cannot access shares when connecting from my iPad. Also the screen resolution size is made for the iPhone. I can 2x it, but then it distorts.

Great app
This is an amazing app. But the ability to send pop up messages to the computer would be nice.

Very useful, no added software
I really like this app to make sure my home computers are shutdown at the end of the day. It's great that there is no agent to install and configure on the clients. I would however recommend setting the GPO to rename your administrator account before you enable it for more security. Filebrowser and net portal are also great apps by the same developer. It would be nice to see the apps all merged into one with wake on LAN added to the mix.

Great app, but it has bugs
This is a great app, but like many other it has bugs. Restart doesn't work anymore, after purchasing the full core version I noticed the config dose not load and there's no action button when browsing file on remote computer, therefore cannot paste file to remote computers. I hope these bugs get fix soon!

Great!
This app is great! As a sysadmin this app has made my life easier at work. Able to connect to Windows XP, 7, Server 2000, 2003, 2008, 2008 R2 and control services with no problems. Support is great and many issues are addressed very well on their website. This app paired with their NetPortal app are probably the 2 most useful Windows IT administration apps I use! Great job guys keep it up, would love to see more great products come from you all.

Great app, but I can't use it
I think it's a great app, and I would love to see a version that doesn't crash because of my company's long FQDN. The problem was fixed in NetPortal, so why not in ServerControl?

Sc to the rescue!
Was just in the mountains on a hike when I received a call from a client stating the blackberry server was "down". With this particular server, a reboot has never failed to fix it(that or restarting all the bes services). Established a VPN to the site, connected to the box with server control, reboot, and they were back up in a few min. Server control saved my sat hike! Thanks guys!

dont work at all
One restart=wont work anymore
I pressed shut down then i started my pc tried to connect never worked tried to change my ip didnt connect at all.
Sorry but I will never but app from this company ever in my life.

Wish it had Wake on LAN
great little app, though wish it had wake on lan and also wish it was supported on IOS4 so it doesn't shutdown what I was in if I minimize it.

Delete non-empty directories as an option
I like the browse shares feature! Need to have the option to delete directories with files in them instead of not being able to delete them at all.

I just installed this app and it is working great! Sometimes I cannot access a computer\server remotely with RDP and you just need to reboot the thing. Well I don't need to find a PC\Mac and open up DOS\Terminal to run a remote shutdown \ restart command when you have this App. Quick and easy! I love that it is free and I can also view my services. Great for people who image computers with PXE and need to restart the service. I am going to buy the add-on for this app. Just what I was looking for.
