Description

Learn the benefits of Self Hypnosis
Problems with alcohol are a common occurrence in today’s culture and can range in intensity from strong cravings to alcohol abuse to alcoholism itself, the most severe. Alcoholism occurs when a person becomes completely dependent on ‘the drink’ to get them through daily life, even at the cost of any problems that may arise, and is sometimes indicative of a physical addiction as well.
There are many reasons why people drink. Social situations and psychological factors are the most common. However, those with a family history of excessive drinking are also at a high risk for becoming alcoholics themselves, due to a genetic predisposition to the disease.
An addiction to alcohol can take its toll on a person’s life, causing problems at work or with friends and family. It is a debilitating disorder that can lead to various health conditions, such as:
• sleep deprivation
• blackouts and/or confusion
• mood swings (varying from depression to violent outbursts)
• anemia
• seizures
• liver and other organ damage
Even if an individual suffering from alcoholism genuinely wants to stop drinking, quitting can be very difficult. Withdrawal symptoms can range from mild to severe (requiring medical help) and are sometimes a reason many continue drinking. For those who do go into a detoxification program, it is often recommended to treat the anxiety associated with withdrawal symptoms.
This is a condition that responds well to self-hypnosis, a safe, drugless therapy that has been shown to have remarkable effectiveness, even when other treatments may fail. It is a particularly successful method when the source of a problem is emotional or tension-related, however deep-rooted it may be. Self-suggestion is a process which strikes at the core of a problem, rather than simply masking the symptoms, making it especially helpful for a variety of complaints.
The very term “Hypnosis” is a direct reference to the ancient Greek “Hypnos”, meaning sleep, and indicates the relaxed, sleep-like, state that is necessary for suggestion to take effect. However, many often have trouble reaching this deeper level of consciousness on their own and require the assistance of a skilled hypnotherapist to ease them into, and out of, a hypnotic state.
Mr. Mackinnon is such an individual, having helped countless people over the years to achieve their goals through guided self-hypnosis. The advancements of the Internet have allowed him to make his technique available to more people than ever before. His new iPhone app is designed to work with you, at your own pace, directing your transition from start to finish and ensuring maximum results.

Worked for me

I did not think it was possible, but the hypnotic suggestions seemed to strengthen my resolve. I tried it once and it did not have an effect, but went back several months later. It has been 30 days and I do not even have a crave or urge to drink. I also changed my behavior and other negative habits that were affecting my mood.

Rip off

I tried the anxiety free app and it was pretty good. I decided to get the stop drinking version. They charge you $3 and it's exactly the same as the anxiety free app. I'm assuming all of them are the same script word for word. Such a rip off. I wouldn't even bother with any of his apps

Not worth it !!

Only used 4 three days now but I'm looking for another,He has a wonderful Scottish accent but sounds like saliva is ready to drool at any moment and there is small but noticeable background noises like floor creaking and muffled sound of ice in a soda cup by the microphone and most of the app is a disclaimer how he cannot guarantee it will work and he isn't judging even AA is givin as a suggestion again it should not be givin during a paid app, either put it in the into or in the small print only 1-2 min actually even talks of drinking, most is just relaxation tal.And oranges come from trees not bushes,he miss speaks as if he read his notes wrong at least 3 times, just not very professional. To sum it up find something else I am.

I can stop drinking

I can't beleive how many bad reviews this app is getting!!!!!! I have struggled with alcohol for over 20 years! I do see a shrink and even with therapy and meds ( I have gad , PTSD , agorophobia ) nothing worked until I listened to this app. It's the first thing I do in the morning and also revisit it in late afternoon. It really takes effort to get your mind into self-hypnosis but keep persisting!!!!! I have found a peace in myself as never before. Alcohol excess is a very hard problem to admit, embarrasing to attend 12 step programs etc. There is an underlying problem to consuming too much alcohol and only you can identify it. Maybe a therapist could help...... Drinking is not the real problem....it's only a coping mechanism. If you can identify what makes you want to zone out....that's a start. The next step is really learning how to self-hypnotise yourself...it really can be done, it just takes practice and patience !!!! Thank-you for this app and god bless everyone still suffering with this horrible addiction. I wanted to add suggestions for future updates . I get a little bored with the garden part . In the updates I would very much appreciate more variety. Like sitting by the ocean, in a comfy bed , even being weightless in space etc..... I still think it's a great app and still listen to it at least twice a day. Also the ending is no longer finishing.....there's a glitch somewhere at the end. Please correct this as I find it to be one of my favorite apps. God bless you for taking the time to make this. It's helping me slot and may god bless you. Thank-you for your help.
