Description

Say hello to Orba—the deliciously addictive color smasher from Kieffer Bros.

Top Quality and Very Highly Addictive

This game is great. Easy to start playing, but then you start learning that you can get higher scores with a little strategizing. Keeps track of my high scores, too. Only needs online high scores, and e-mail taunting (i.e. "I just got a new Orba high score of 1,100,000 - bet you can't beat it"). I hope this gets an update for 64 bit compatibility!

Super addicting

I've been playing this app for quite a while and am absolutely still addicted to it. Have to admit I'm surprised its still holding my attention because most apps don't hold mine this long. And the person that called it a bejeweled clone, I have to say I'm not sure where that's coming from. I play both and I'm really not sure how they're similar, but to each their own. :) Great app, absolutely love it!

Simple and Addicting

I picked this up after it was mentioned in a TouchArcade review of a different Keiffer Bros title, and I'm glad I did. It's a simple concept that's hard to master, and can be played for minutes or a lot more in each sitting.

A few "special tiles" would be a nice addition, but I won't even take a star off for that because the progression is great as-is.

Downloaded it on a whim.

I just decided to give this game a try out of the blue, and it turns out this game is one that is on my main screen. Very smooth operating game, great sounds, and I really enjoy playing it.

I like games with small footprints that I can pull out real quick and play and this game is great for my wants

Addictive and beautiful

A simple game but a smart one. As you progress you have to slow down and strategize. The presentation is also slick and polished without overdoing it on the flashy eye candy; nice graphics, nice music. It has a relaxing atmosphere to it, which probably helps keep you challenged and engaged without the frustration factor other games of this type can foster.

Worth the regular price and an absolute steal for free.

Beautiful colors

The first time I played Orba, it didn't seem like much of a strategy game. Then I got to the upper levels and realized that I needed to implement my strategy earlier on!

My two year-old likes to play this game and thinks the balls are "pretty."

I have so many apps, I was reluctant to buy this one. In retrospect, I must say I am so happy I did. I find myself constantly reverting back to Orba among all my other match-3s (which this isn't in any way), because everything about this game is just so perfectly made! The gameplay, the visuals, organization, soundtrack.. The ambience is great for stress relief. It's just so relaxing! A puzzler that's both relaxing and challenging; not at all frustrating. And for a dollar, Kieffer Bros. are really being generous. This is a beautiful game! (I also recommend KB's 'Monster Soup,' another great little app similar to Orba.)

Fun and simple

Simple genius.

If you've ever enjoyed a puzzle game, and I mean ever, then this game is for you. Everything about it is polished and spot-on, from the music/sound design, to the scoring, to the very concept behind the game. It's like they just made every decision correctly.

I never thought I'd say this, but I think this app beats Drop7 (and it certainly beats the crappy new free version by Zynga).

I took a chance and bought this game without trying a free version. I was not disappointed! I like how easy it is to play if you want something mindless for a little while, but there is also strategy involved if you decide to ramp up the involvement. Amazing how Orba can satisfy both ends of the spectrum at the same time. Good for all ages, and the music is soothing and not annoying. I instantly fell in love with this game!

Someone, *please* write another app that's as addicting as this one is!

Any time that I'm sitting idle for more than a few seconds, out comes my iPhone and I resume playing this guy. I've missed large blocks of TV shows because I started playing Orba during a commercial and I became so engrossed, I forgot to re-focus my attention back to the TV. This thing is *fantastic*, and deserves many more stars than the available 5!!!

Polished simplicity.

Possibly the most polished, slick game on the app store. Everything about this game says "professional." You can tell from the little details and animations that this was put together by people who love what they do. I love the fact that the game is untimed - perfect for zoning out before bed.

Cute orbs

Got this game for free. It's kind of addicting and I've spent at least 1 hour or more on it. It's simple and it kind of relaxes your mind. I would like to see more orbs and maybe some kind of unlock able orb themes. Undo button would be nice too. Overall I like this game. Please keep the updates coming.

Don't know what the reviewers are talking about

This game takes no skill whatsoever. Just repeatedly tap all over the screen and see how many balls you can get! You don't even have to look at the screen! Then, when you've randomly hit all the 3+ balls you can get, the game will let you know that by dropping more balls in. A waste of money! Wish i could get a refund.

If it needed to have all the balls in a set connected by some motor skill and there was at least a possibility of missing a ball THAT would involve a little skill - a very little.

1st Post: What a GREAT game! Like others that use the drop method, this adds a nice twist by keeping the Balls channel set. This really makes you use your Brain. I can't believe this game is FREE

I would love to have 1 Undo per frame Set added, or earned as you play. This is a 10  Application as far as I'm concerned.

Ok, after playing this for a bit (and my wife playing it too) I'd have to say it's pretty dang good. Starts out oh-so-simple, but then quickly gets more and more difficult as more colors are introduced. Can be quite challenging trying to plan things out to clear as many dots as you can. Good game!

A Great Bubble Pop Game

Great game. I love the classic scoreboard. It is great that you can have the groups highlighted. This is a very nice version of the classic bubble pop game. If you are looking for a good fun bubble click game, this is it.

A very polished presentation of a classic game!!!

Very polished presentation. Good choice of colors. I am colorblind and sometimes am afraid of choosing games because of this. well this one uses easy colors so I don't have problems differentiate them.

Now features quick game and global high score leader board. Good for pick it up when having a couple of minutes free.

Attractive game, but it gets frustrating

Orba is attractive to look at, and for those new to the game, it can be more than a little addictive.

However, once you get a little better at the game you rapidly hit a wall for how fun and interesting the game can be. Once you reach a certain level (for me it's about level 30), it doesn't matter how much of the screen you have cleared, a mess of randoms colors falls and there are only two or three possible moves before the game ends.

To me, it feels like one of those early arcade games that was designed to be impossible to beat, so people would keep coughing up quarters. Buy this game, play it for a while, but then move on.

Got my mom addicted

I got this game for me just to play in boredom. It's a fine game. Then i gave it to my mom to play. She doesn't like hard games- and hard to her is Mario cuz when she makes him jump she screams. So this game was simple enough for her. It's easy at first and then gets harder with the more colors they add. She just kept playing and playing- cuz it's simple and fun.

The first 4 are very friendly and down to earth people. They will talk to you through forums or email as though they have known you for a long time. PopCap has upgraded to the demeaning robot messages.

Anyhow, allow me to stay on the point.

Keiffer Bros - Lexic is one of my top 5 favorite iPod games ever made. When I saw the release of Orba, I thought to myself “Oh man, we have this game on the itunes store in so many other variables”.

It was free for a little while so it wasn’t much of a risk so with my trust in them, I went for it. Once I got to playing it for a bit, I really enjoyed it. Just like their other games, it’s presentation is top notch. I highly recommend this game. Not only is it the best of it’s kind, but I have been informed that there will be some pretty cool updates on the way.

Very nice!!

Simple gameplay and amazing graphics make this one amazingly fun. All you have to do is tap on groups of balls with the same color, then watch new balls bounce beatifully on to the screen. Although its simplicity is great, here are some suggestions:

New color sets (dark, bright, watercolor etc.)

New skins (like Lexic, that you could unlock)

Time limited game mode

A mode where you can tilt to roll the balls sideways (like Lexic) for new combinations.

Get the lite version first and try it, but you'll want the full version!!!

Simple concept, lots if fun

Orba uses a simple concept of clearing balls off the screen. It's simple to play and great in short bursts but can easily keep you entertained for hours.

User interface is simple and gameplay is smooth. Definitely worth a try if you like puzzle games!
