Error with displaying some artworks
A lot of the artworks don't show up in the app, I'm not talking about those R-18 stuffs. I meant almost half of some artist's works, and they aren't even remotely r-18, they just never show up in the app for no reason. Unless I chose to bookmark them on webpage, then they'll show up in the bookmark list in the app.

Needs Notifications and DMs
For what it is worth, this app is pretty good. The only thing that's holding it back is the unavailability of checking your notifications or direct messages which could only be done on the desktop version. Please add this feature when possible. It could do the app wonders.

Some content may be illegal in your state.
A great app for finding fan art and following your favorite artists, but there is a HUGE "r-18", or pornographic content base, so be aware of this if your kids use it. There is a filtering option available, but it is easily disabled. If you yourself use it for this content (I won't judge!), be aware that this app is Japan-based, and they have no laws against artistic depictions of children in sexual situations, and such content IS ACCESSABLE on this app and its base site. Most states in the US have very strict laws against such content, even those depicting fictional characters, and having such content on your phone or computer can be a huge legal risk.

PLEASE READ THIS.
I was trying to add people's art to my favorites/folder but the artworks are never in there; Even when i press "Save" they rarely save. Even when i made a folder it still doesn't save images... it would be cool if we could make a folder and add artwork to it or press and hold the image to add it to a folder/favorites instead of going through this: hold heart, click tag/folder, set to private, click save, and it still not be there. Something small like this shouldn't be an issue.

Ads are ABSOLUTELY the problem
There are so many ads that redirect to the app store that the app is UNUSABLE. Just leaving the app has the potential to clear what ever you were doing so any ad has the potential to send you back to page one. On top of that sometimes the apps actually CRASH the app.
I'm fine with the ads at the bottom of the screen and ads spread across the entries. Unfortunately since those are blank 90% of the time and they seem to be broken, it appears that Pixiv has decided to bombard your phone with pop up ads that don't let you browse and crash the app instead.

Everything is pretty good. There shouldn't be ads at the bottom if we have premium and ads keep on opening the App Store without my consent. I left my phone on the table with the app open and it opened itself. I mean if I click it I deserve it but come on. The premium thing should be changed first though what's the point of even paying for it.

Fairly easy to use
I'm not entirely certain if this is an in app function or if this suggestion should be said to apple, however it would be great if pressing on any image would prompt the "open in new tab" menu (similar to the PC version).

I really hope the official could see my review. As the other pixie users, we all loved the old version pixiv. Why are illust and manga separated? Since they are all drawings, they should be in the same category just like the old version. The pictures are displayed pixelated, especially on iPad, pixiv should never done this as a DRAWING community. It takes a good effort just to find the "follow" and "like" button, and why bother changing "favorite" to "like"?
Just a FEW things are listed above. In conclusion, the new version is TERRIBLE compared to the old version, fix the new version, please!

A good start
It has been a few years since I last left a review, but the Pixiv Devs have not been sitting idly by. With the last few updates they have completely overhauled the app. While initially I was hesitant of the change I now use the app many times more than I use the site anymore. Keep it up!

Changes are... eh
I enjoy browsing pixiv, but the new interface makes it way too easy for me to accidentally bump the like button on some random thumbnail while scrolling through a tag.
I have mixed feelings about the new homepage. While I appreciate the app trying to show me things I might enjoy, it seems to be using information from privately liked images as well, which kind of defeats the whole "privacy" aspect if related images are right there when you open the app.

Although I'm not really a fan of the new interface in general, there's one thing that's really been bugging me. PLEASE bring back thumbnail view for image logs/collections! It's so much quicker for me to view all of the images at once to see if I like them or not rather than scroll through 40+ pictures just to find the ones I want to save. It's very frustrating.

Why remove the ID search function ?
It's difficult to search users with their user ID ...and I can't find users because most of the time the name of artists are common so I can't find the user I'm looking for.. Can you please add the ability to search with id again..that'll make my Pixiv experience more smooth.. Thank you

Missing Even More Features
tl;dr: the app removes even more of the sites features which makes the app less useful than before.
I miss having the Activity Feed as it was a useful way to see what art the people I followed were bookmarking. I wish the app didn't regress further from the website by removing ratings and combining the 10 star rating with bookmarking. I now rate even less images than before which seems like the wrong thing to do, but I don't want to bookmark each of them either.
I don't mind the design changes, but the explicit removal of the features I love to use is a huge negative.

New UI Looks Great
The new UI looks great! I was scared that a lot of the features would be removed, but a lot of them seem to just be moved to different sections or renamed.
The app was crashing on startup, but uninstalling and reinstalling it made it work again.

Favorite Fanart App!
Has always been my favorite app to use in looking up fanarts! A little buggy with crashing still, but otherwise great! I do miss being able to go further back in viewing the daily theme sections, but love the addition of its own stories/characters! A great, supportive community for the most talented artists whether for fandoms or to showcase people drawing and writing their own manga. A must download for anime fans as well as anyone into fanart and cosplay.

Its great if you know Japanese, okay If you don't
Pixiv is great if you know Japanese because a majority of the app is in Japanese. There's a free version and a paid version, I've only used the free version and it's pretty good. It's would be great if pixiv came out with a fully English version but I doubt that will ever happen. Anyway it's a pretty good app if you like awesome illustrations and stories

This app has almost everything I could ask for.
It's nice that I don't need my computer to access Pixiv anymore. The app does a pretty good job. Since it's free I won't get into the ads but the one thing that I don't like is that I can't add tags to my favorites through the app. Other than that I'm happy with everything else.

Great Art Browser App
I like this app a lot. Biggest complaint is mostly just the fact there is a "premium" version with better features but they have to make money, so I can't really fault that. Still get enough features for free that the app is extremely useful for browsing, collecting or discovering new art! Just have to be careful not to click on the annoying ads.

Almost perfect
This app is great. I don't need to open my laptop to use Pixiv anymore. Images load fast, everything is so easy to use...there's just one problem. The app refreshes itself too often for my liking. By that I mean that if i jump to my browser from Pixiv, I can almost guarantee the app will take me back to its home-screen when I jump back. Which means I lose whatever artist page i was on and I have to go looking for it again. None of my other apps seem to refresh as soon as this one.
Not a huge problem, though. It just bugs me sometimes.

Advertisements, bugs, missing features
-Advertisements were suddenly added in as "bug fixes"
-Ads would have been "OK" if hidden when viewing images, but Pixiv is very greedy
-There is a giant amount of white space on the sides of the ads to make it even worse (done on purpose)
Apart from ads,
-Most website features aren't on the app, like recommended users, user feed, related pictures, etc.
-Most Pixiv premium features from the website aren't on the app
-Some of the UI doesn't make sense, like the switched placement of score and views
-You can't see who a comment is a reply to
-The giant Open button ruins works with multiple images. It is annoying and looks bad. It should be replaced with small arrows at the bottom of the image that go through the pages instead of taking us to an entirely separate page
-Very few Pixiv spotlights appear on the app. There is no reason or excuse for that. And the BEST ONES NEVER APPEAR ON THE APP
-Favorites sometimes disappear
-Sometimes the wrong image is favorited
-There is no way to select multiple favorites
-Actions always fail, "Follow failed" "favorite failed" "remove failed" etc.
-A lot of other things...
It would be nice to get the whitecube redesign for mobile too. Maybe if you redo the app like the website, you can do it right this time.
Also not sure what all these bug fix updates are. All the bugs I encounter are still there. Probably stealth adding more advertisements.

Ads are Not the Problem, the Bugs are
The ads are not the major issue here. I don't get why people complain about these blocking the image. The ad doesn't even do much of a difference on how you see the picture and there are WAY more major problems than the advertisements. The website may be great, but the app itself is not. There are way too many bugs like the lag and the glitches. Usually, when giving a rating or bookmarking the illustration, it will start lagging and saying that it has failed to do the given action. It's terribly annoying and I truly hope Pixiv could fix these bugs. To add, even though this is only the mobile version of the website, I'm hoping for some more functions to be added that you could do on the website. Ex. Number of score you give to the image. UI is ok and the translations are good. But I am really only keeping this app since it provides a more mobile way to go on Pixiv. It just needs more, that's all.

Amazing App
Even though this app has ads now I find the art that you can view, download, and have inspirations to draw outweigh the advertisements. Also, I suggest you have your mature filter on. And lastly an improved search function wouldn't hurt.

Is easily navigated, well done translations (All your bases are belong to us.), and moronic reviewers that think a company shouldn't be able to make money off of their websites and apps.
Still salty about the picture quality. Understandable but I just cringe whenever I find a Pivix Spotlight for being Compositionally Amazing.

Good
Good app but please fix the scroll. Every time I check the "Popular Works" section, I am able to see the pictures fine; the problem occurs when I view a picture and then back out to the thumbnail section. When I back out, it returns the scroll to the very top. Therefore, I have to scroll all the way down again which is quite annoying.

Some features don't work
The interface is very clean, but I cannot unfollow people on this app (even though I can follow!). I also tried changing my icon using the app but that feature doesn't work either (I chose my art that I saved in my photo stream and nothing happens after choosing). So far these are the only problems I have found.
I will have to do these things on safari now. The app is still not working as well as it should, but great for browsing the art. The comic viewer works well. You can also delete cache and history in the app settings. Etc.

This is a fantastic app, ease of use, everything is orderly and as cleanly designed as possible.
My only suggestion would be to put some kind of feature in to allow you to check your inbox and notifications.

Runs well but I noticed an error
It's nice to see an new feature in being able to favorite and unfavorite since I sometimes accidentally click on favorite. But I noticed an error from when look at the artists I follow since there's a button that says I didn't follow the artist. I hope this error can be fixed. Also I noticed that on the website version of Pixiv the profile settings don't save what I changed.

Worked wonders!
Was able to view all my favorite pixiv artists' works at a fraction of the lag from accessing the actual website in Safari. Ads are few and interface is simple without excluding any features. Great app!

I love browsing pixiv, and there is a lot to like about smoothly this app handles the mobile viewing experience. Goodjob on the interface, folks! However, the app DOES crash a whole heck of a lot, and the ads are always there. It would be nice if it crashed less :)

Another backwards update
There's not much screen space to view high quality images on iTouch devices as it is, and recently these ads have been frustrating. I'd be more than willing to pay $1-2 to get rid of the ads, as otherwise this application is very useful. It also seems to do a terrible job with memory management, and eventually crashes due to lack of memory.

v2.0 a huge step backward
Less intuitive interfaces (clearly inspired by facebook but done wrong), ads, loss of rotation/save support, listing shows 5 pictures at a time... Upgrade and you will never enjoy pixiv on the ipad like you used to.
Come on developers, I will even be ok with making this a paid app rather than having the annoying ads/new interface design. Please bring the pixiv back to the hit that it was!

Why?
I can't rotate it by rotate my iPad! It is only set on one direction! I'm not so used to deal with this. I think the older version of the pixiv app is more flexible, you can choose which direction you'd prefer to set on and look just by rotating the iPad!
And I can't rate or save a image any more. That makes me so sad. TVT.

Pocket Pixiv!
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that this app is in English! I wish you could sort your favorites with tags (I have a ton of favorites, so it's hard to look through them without the tags) but otherwise this is great. Being able to save images is a huge plus.

Great and bad at the same time
It is awesome app of the Pixiv site. A bit slow. The major problem is the account creator. Everyone keeps on saying "case sensitve." The real problem is the Pivix id NEEDS to be in lower case. It tells you that in Japanese. I had to get a translator for Firefox on the PC to set up an account. After that, I was able to log in sucessfully through the Ipad app.

I really love this app. The ability to create an account inside the app was a great idea, because I downloaded 1.5 and had to go to the site and figure out how to make an account on my own. My only two concerns with the new update are #1 that there's a glitch where if you browse for too long pictures stop loading and it only shows you the loading bar, and you have to restart the app which is annoying because you have to redo the search and everything. #2 is I'm not sure what the point was to add a novel section, because they're all in Japanese. Not very useful unless you can read Japanese or take the time to translate the whole thing. Anyway, love the app. Five stars if you fix the glitch.

Rankings
The rankings are my favorite part of the app. But with the update I've only been able too see the top 50 and not the top 100. Which to me was really disappointing because looking at the 100 daily rankings is what I like to do just before I go to bed so now I only get half of that night time ritual.

Pixiv users' must have!
With the v1.5, the missing feature commenting become available, and the additional new features help pixiv users to discover other illustrators and illustration they may like anytime anywhere, killing unwanted boring time much easier. A must have app for iDevice user who loves to browse pixiv! And I can tell this little update actually make the app much more fun to use.

Please update compatibility for iOS 4.0.2 I use this app on my iPod touch 2G and it works I made an account and everything but after viewing some art it crashes also when you boot it up it's in landscape mode the time bar etc. Please fix these errors it truly is a GREAT app

Hooray, a 4.0 update!
I love this app, it makes browsing pixiv much easier if you don't know Japanese. Recently was updated for iOS4 which is great, but the app crashes on me sometimes when I'm viewing a "stack" of pics. (when more than one pic is attached to a post) so glad to have this back!

I love this app and I have used it often, but as others have said before it now does not work with the latest version of the iPod OS. Every time I try to start the app, it just closes out on me. An update would be greatly appericiated!

Over All, Nicely Done. Could Improve.
This is a really nifty app for all pixiv lovers. I like the fact that you're also able to save pictures on to your phone and favorite items, etc. I would like if the rating button would allow you to give a score other than just a full "10 stars". Also, I would like the ability to message people and/or add people to your friends as well as allowing one to tag their favorites once they add them to the list. Even without these upgrades, I'd still use this app all the time, heh.

BEST. APP. EVER.
This is an amazing app! It makes browsing Pixiv so easy!
The menu is very easy to navigate and after only a few seconds of using it I was able to log in to my Pixiv account and view my bookmarks, follows, friends and more! The search by tags option is actually easier to use on this app than it is on the site.
I found an added little bonus too. You can view an image and then click the little white page icon on the top right. This allows you to save the item to your iTouch/iPhone so you can use it as a wallpaper. :D I now have a fanart of my favorite anime set as my wallpaper! So cool!
