Why does it keep crashing
The app is great but the sightings are kinda weird when I try to select anything else instead of the ISS, the app crashes and gets out of the app. Also some formats look outdated. Still itās a good app but please fix this

Poor Job for the Public
NASA did a poor job in producing a tracking app for the public. This app is confusing - I want to know where the spacecraft is. This app not very good for that. Also, why are we seeing continuous live feeds from the spacecraft - it is 2026. I think it is great that NASA got the launch off, but they definitely need to work on their apps, etc so the public can also enjoy the flight and follow the flight. NASA has been a let down in this regard. The app is not user friendly for the public.

Bugs affect usability & accessibility for visually impaired users
I want to love this app, but the main reason I downloaded it was to use the AR features to look at the Artemis II mission. It gets completely borked and doesnāt work at all if you use a larger text size than the minimum. All the text and side menu items disappear. Videos and news items seem to be unaffected by this bug, but I admit I havenāt tried to look at everything available. If you allow dynamic text in your app, you should TEST IT TO MAKE SURE IT WORKS AS INTENDED WITH ALL TEXT SIZES.

Extra poor use of an app
So, I figured Iād be able to enjoy live coverage of the mission. Lol!! Itās laughable, a tiny screen of Mission Control and the bigger screen is a computer generated image of .,. Who knows. Your live coverage of Artemis 2, is that of out of focus rocket, wandering camera shot and the crowd right at booster separation!!! Itās a joke, you all should be deeply embarrassed! Itās 2026! Regular people have better coverage than you.

AROW is so close
But itās not optimized for the iPhone.
Dynamic Island goes right on top of key user interfaces if you use it in landscape mode. Nothing is cropped for ease of use and readability. Not having two finger zoom is painful.
And the Artemis tracker circle scales as you zoom in and out, seemingly increasing uncertainty of where it is.
I love love the concept though.

YouTube player garbage - ruined Artemis II launch
I have a beautiful iPhone 16 Pro and watching the launching landscape mode gave me black bars left and right and gray background bars left right and bottom With a much reduced picture size in the center. This device was made for video watching. This app experience was absolutely substandard.

Artemis II
Pretty disappointed with the Artemis II section of the app. Itās an unusable crowded mess. Like I want to simply know where the crew is and some basic metrics about the mission, that should be super easy to find and use but instead you have find and launch the VR interface and fight with the controls to just see a map. Extremely nerdy and complicated. A flat 2D simple map with live stats would have been so much useful.

Itās a bit better but thereās still some issues
Third Rock Radio is still broken. The audio plays but thereās no button to close the page or any UI at all for that matter.
Artemis Real-Time Operations breaks if you close then reopen it. AROW becomes unresponsive, forcing me to force-close then relaunch (no pun intended) the whole app.

How, with 16 years of lead up to Orionās first manned lunar mission, do you not build a functional tracker for mobile devices???
The Artemis launch should be a case study moment in how amazing an app can be for a major human milestone. It should make this mission more accessible for humanity. But it is absolutely awful.
The fact that weāre getting THIS disaster at such a huge moment in history is an embarrassment and everyone involved should feel embarrassed.

I want to be a fan of NASA and government in general, but for the billions they spend, put a few bucks into production quality. Poor production, poor editing, poor visualizations, tracker is terribleā¦ itās just amateur hour in terms of design and production value for what is a major part of selling all this expensive exploration to the public who pays for all this. Just depressing.

The app died! Nothing! Blank screens on all menus. So I rebooted my iPad. Still dead! So I updated. First time since installing in 2019. I LOATH updates because 99% of the time, updates RUIN the original App. Still dead! This was a great app for surfing astronomical images. They were wondrous. Now itās Dead!

Radio
Iāve been using this app for 3rd Rock Radio since 2019. Itās been such an attachment on my educational journey providing a sense of motivation because of the music selection. The new update caused the Music information to disappear from my Home Screen which isnāt terrible. But overall Iāll continue to use this for 3rd Rock Radio as long as I ever will. Itās all pointless fluff from the Public Relations department not the scientists and engineers doing things. For example: I canāt find any information on the Crew 8 mission. Where do I notify bugs/issues?
Use to love playing images and listening to Third Rock radio but havenāt been able to hear anything for almost a year now. We have two Apple TVās and both will not play Third Rock radio. Itās unfortunate that there isnāt a better way to notify of this issue. I understand that many developers / businesses canāt economically work through the quantity of misused submissions through a feedback system; unfortunate that honest actionable feedback is hard to leave. Hope you see this NASA App developer's.

Itās back!
I am very happy that they fixed the image widget and made reading the captions on images easy again. After Apollo was killed by Reddit, the broken NASA widget essentially destroyed my Home Screen. And while nothing has brought back the rotating pictures of cuteness from Reddit on my Home Screen, NASA IS BACK! I get my daily reminder of our awesome space agency and just general space and cosmology news. I am so glad they fixed this. I am back to being a daily user again.

The NASA App Is Amazing!
The NASA app is amazing because you can watch every rocket launch and there is so much to see! You can even view 3D Models of rockets, look at the sky view which allows you to see all the names of the stars and planets and it shows you which ones are which, you can do a lot of stuff on the app. I totally recommend this app. My dream has been to pass the Kerman line and reach outer space. To feel weightless. I want to explore the universe in all itās glory. I want to see the earth from above. I want to know the universeās secrets and how things work.
I want to launch rockets and do cool things. So thank you NASA, for making history.

Bring Back The Missions
Iāve used the NASA app for ever. And itās always been my goto for information about current and past space missions. The latest update is very nice but they took away (or put it where I canāt find it) the missions section. I would go there to track where the latest mission was, or to look up upcoming missions. It was a terrific resource. And now it just seems to be gone. NASA please bring back the missions section in the app.

Thank you for your quick reply and app update. I appreciate that there is more access to some missions. But where are the older ones? I would like to be able to look up old missions, Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Voyager, etc. The historical missions are well worth being able to look up as easily as the current ones. Where is the live star map
I donāt know where the live star map went on the app but I am extremely disappointed that it is not easily findable under any search terms that audiences might be familiar with. Nothing populated with searches like ālive star mapā, āHubble star mapā, or āstar mapā. This is incredibly frustrating and there is no place in the app for people used to the old layout to cross reference old titles of older widgets you used to have within the app. Itās completely different, with lots of cool stuff{!}, but I cannot find the map!!!!
Update: I have changed my review to five stars bc the live sky map is now available again for users!! Yippeee

Please! Bring Back AR Skyview Space Object Identifier
Please make a button on the Home Screen to quickly navigate to the Augmented Reality (AR) SkyView iOS module. It seems to have disappeared with the latest major app upgrade. When I used it previously, I was floored at the level of detail and usefulness of that incredible feature in a prior version of the app. I was able to share with kids and neighbors where planets in our solar system were located in the night sky, which made me seem much smarter and interesting than I am! And it instantaneously helped many other space fans achieve a higher understanding of the amazing network of a vast, spectacular array of heavenly bodies right before our eyesā¦ in real time!
The NASA app is still my go-to when first waking up to set the tone for my day by putting lifeās challenges in perspective. And I love seeing super high res images of our Earth and majesty of the universe.

āAutoplayā feature is sorely missed
I loved this app on my apple TV because it would just cycle through randomly selected videos and play continuously. It was so easy to learn new things without having to search and dig.
Now I can only view one video at a time. Since most are short-format, this means a lot of fiddling with the apple remote (difficult to use with my arthritis) and constantly having to parse through menus to find something new to watch. I might just stop using the app nowā¦
Please bring back autoplay! āAdd to playlistā (that we canāt see or interact with) is not a suitable substitute that was the old NASA TV.

Canāt find ISS!
Iāve been using this app for 3 years now and loved it! My dad and I would check to see when ISS was going over and then running outside to see it. After my dad passed away I still used it to find ISS and would love the memories.
Now with the new update I canāt find ISS as easily. You took away the sky view to know which direction to it would be coming and going. I no longer get alerts 15 minutes before ISS goes over. The dimensional views are hard to figure out hard to know what is what. Iāve tried pressing on labels, and nothing happens. Very unhappy with this update.

One of the most used apps on my phone BUTā¦.
I have had such a great time browsing all the topics and pictures and when I worked nights, I looked forward to 3am Central time so I could get a new cool NASA Picture. However, since the previous update, the download button no longer downloads the images. It will tell me that it was added to my library but it does not appear. It doesnāt hamper my enjoyment of the app itself but I wish I could save the pictures.

Ahh! So there are others reporting itās crashing
Had you upgraded your iOS between the last time it worked and it not working?
Worked fine on my wifeās phone until she upgraded to 16.5. I upgraded the next day and the same thing happened. Removing and reinstalling the app doesnāt correct the problem so there must be an incompatibility in the api between iOS 16.5 and the app, or the new security patches in the upgrade wonāt let the app use whatever protocols it had been using.

The first photos that I received into my device had among the a purple color explosion shaped like event that had exploded from the earth outreaching into the void space the photo was like capturedScenario of when you throw Rock into a lake. That pictures has a lot more science and facts to it very personal to me although I can find it anymore from list. Influence on NASA Exploration
This is totally fascinating!
With each picture Iām seeing something new and learning something new about our universe. When I was eight (1958), there were no images of planets, closer than could be seen with a telescope. All I had to rely on beyond that was my imagination. Comparing that to today, our perception has come light years in width and depth of what we understood about our universe.

Greatest app
This is a must have for me, I have lost many phones but this is an app that i download time and time again. Itās always been very eye opening and relaxing to go through everyday. The widget you can have on ur home screen is probably my favorite part. The app itself is easy to figure out but one thing I wish they put is Add a liked picture section for the Astronomy Picture of the Day!! please add a area where you could view all the liked images a person has liked. That would be so awesome thank you guys for such an interactive map!

Great app but wonāt open
I have used this app for many many years and love it dearly. I remember I used to wake up sometimes at 4 in the morning just to open this app and watch live rocket launches. I think itās a great resource and it breaks my heart that because of the new update it wonāt work. Every time I open the app it shows the home page for a split second and then crashes. I even tried checking for a new update and then even uninstalled and reinstalled it and nothing worked it still wonāt stay open. Hopefully this gets fixed but if not I guess I can always switch to the actual website even though I prefer the app on mobile.

Thank You Since the Beginning
I have been following space science since I heard JFK set us the goal in 1960 of our first man on the moon before the end of 1969. I have joined The Planetary Society and the National Space Society since their beginnings. Human experience and discovery in space has been my lifelong thrill for decades (I am now 75 years young).
Since my first iPhone that had NASAās software for images, videos and training programs, I have continued to truly enjoy the frequent input of information about our history and future in space.

I've had this app for not too long, but I can say it's pretty cool! The images are high quality, and the information is accurate enough to be taught!
I would recommend making the user interface more friendly to those who have trouble navigating without instructions or words, but this is a great app! Nice one, NASA!

Freezes Up
Hi! Youāre app is awesome! But thereās a problem in that whenever you go to the tv section for public, media, etc., if thereās nothing showing live or anything on it, just a black page, it freezes up and it wonāt let you go back to the main page of the app. I have to completely get out of the app then open it or go back to it to get the home page . Iāve tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but it still freezes or crashes. Gets annoying having to do that to get back to home page. Help! Thank you š š!

Very Good App, Not sure about full Accuracy However
This is a great app, being from the best agency specialising in research of outer space, however Iām not sure if this app allows just anyone to edit descriptions of images. I was looking at NGC-6946, or the Fireworks Galaxy. On the description it tells the reader that this spiral Galaxy is located āJust 10 million light years awayā However, the NASA website states it is 22 million light years away, not ten million. This may confuse NASAās readers. Other than this, this app contains very cool photos, ranging from simple astronauts to diagrams of the Laniakea Supercluster and Huge LQG Quasar Group to the observable universe. I give this app a 4 out of 5 for the potential accuracy issues. Otherwise it is a great app for exploring the universe.

Amazing!
Hi I am new to NASA. I got the app for my grandchildren and I to have something educational and also amazing to see all the images. Kaitlyn is 12 and Ethan is 7 they are just starting their lives and I thought they might like to learn about our Galaxy! Is there a way to SmartCast NASA from my phone to my smart tv? I hope so the images would be out of this world! Thank you so much

From the beginning of the NASA program we have a new way of exploring our minds of whatās outside our planet. We read that the Babylonians were building a wall to the sky. We learned aircraftās could adventure above the clouds but through NASA we have went beyond the circle. From the sixties to today many generations have explored greater ideals of planets, moons, and craters. Thank you NASA for satellites, countries uniting, and education in so many forms. When we put the first man on the moon our imagination ran wild. Believing that we would be living as the cartoon ā the Jetsonsā or exploring space meeting aliens as Star Trek or Star Wars. Even possibilities as ET introducing their kind to us earthlings. Through NASA we have explored the outer limits of space and many things inside. We have through NASA explored our depths of oceans finding new species that we now know exist. Thank you to NASA for the opportunities for our imagination to go beyond and the education to keep exploring the galaxy and our planet. There is so much more to explore from when NASA started to today and the future generation to add. Itās a galaxy of worlds unexplored also waters of the unknown. I have always been interested in space from the time I watched the first mercury liftoff. Now my daughter who just earned her PhD is working for NOAA. The launch today of the the satellite to study the oceans is exactly her specific area of expertise. Your app is fantastic in covering these important subjects now and for the future. No longer works
Iāve had this app on my iPad Air for a long time (and my original iPad before that) and loved it! Within the last couple of updates, however, the app has stopped working on my device. I noticed that the App Store page now shows that it requires iOS 13.0 or higher (the āWorks on this iPadā section of the page still says āYesā). Iāve had to uninstall it, because it just doesnāt run at all. Iām not sure whether to blame Apple for the lack of backward compatibility or NASA for using non-backward-compatible iOS features. Either way, Iām a little miffed.

A great app says my 3 year old
He loves looking at the planets leaning the names itās composition and more. He loves how he can have the universe in the palm of his hand he says. He has learned all the planets names and which ones are made of gas and which one has rings. Itās amazing how kids learn now at days with an app. I just wish you guys could make one app more interactive with activities and information for kids, kind of like a game.

A friendly reminder
My Dad liked this app and got notifications frequently because he was always looking up at the stars. We used to text me everyday but he passed away this last Sunday. I downloaded the app so that every time I get a notification itāll be like him texting me and Iāll look up at the stars and remember him. Thank you for this gift.

One flaw, but I donāt expect to be amended; āLIVE FEEDā I wish was always āLIVEā and had more angles and peripheral views. But I understand that thereās everything from national security and god knows what else on the other side of the station that we just are not prepared or allowed to view. Iām am very grateful for this resource, I wish more resources were dedicated to this. I wish humans were as into this as they are their social discord š. I love this app. I love you NASA. I absolutely love everything Nasa and especially everything International Space Station. We try to see it every time it flies over our home. Fascinated is an understatement. Itās as amazing now as it was the very first time we saw it. Just sad to think that it will be coming to an end in a few years. Since we get notifications when itās going to be visible, I post it and I am proud to say that many people in my community now watch the skies for its appearance. Many in other states are now enjoying seeing this amazing machine.

Thank you so so so much for creating this amazingly designed and well informed app, thanks to you guys I always am on the right time for the live broadcasts from the ISS and not to mention all the launches and images, I LOVE this app, I am crazy for space and my dream is to work at NASA in the future, I want to be one of those who will be sent to Mars, and to be honest, it was a bit tough to persuade my parents to let me become an astronaut, I have no comment on this app, it is well designed, all the informations are trustable, the images are really beautiful, and whatsoever, continue your amazing work, I will always and always support you through whatever you guys do and I will always be like (GO NASA) from my own country, I am satisfied with this app, thanks again, stay safe, good day!

I have been getting app notifications daily for over two years and love being part of a small group of rate worriers. Its sad that while sheltered more children do not find this app and explore. So much better than the games they play.

NASA has been my idol space agency and has driven my desire to see science fiction become reality.
At 50 years old, I grew up in the second great era of our nationsās space agency. The time of that absolutely stunning and beautiful workhorse, āThe Space Shuttleā. I fell fell in love with it, mourned with it and always believed in it. That technological marvel, lit the fire within me to believe that one day, maybe even in my lifetime, an average person would be able to reach the stars. Now many years later, I look back on it nostalgically and it makes me smile. I am excited to see what humanityās future holds with NASA courageously pushing the unknown frontier.
Being able to view the earth, from the ISS, which was put in orbit by the āSpace Shuttle Programā, from my handheld touchscreen computer/communicator, while dictating to it as it responds to my queries, was 100% science-fiction when I was 12 years old. With out a doubt, NASA has continuously satisfied my inner desire, to see science-fiction, become reality! This app, being part of that system which makes it all possible, is more than just a link to a technological marvel. Itās a window, into a legacy of great minds, brave explores and heroes, that not only empowered our nation, but has empowered humankind. Thank you, to all The Trailblazers of the past, the present and the future; I can only imagine what the next 50 years is going to bring.

Best educational and science app.
Love everything about the space and missions to outer space. I recommend the NASA tv to every person who wants to teach their children about science . I am a fanatic on exploration and discovery. Itās amazing to see our beautiful planet from the actual space ship windows. I want to inspire my son on aero space science. Was so disappointed when I had to come home from my parents house after they post poned the launch. We donāt have the NASA channel. On a whim I decided to look for a NASA app but wasnāt getting my hopes up. I coldnt believe it and I was able to see what was going on in this app! I didnāt have to pay for it. I was so happy. So glad to see the journey Bob and Doug are making and so glad they are safe. I love all the images on this app too, and videos, love this app!

The NASA app is really fire, it is incredible in its content. It makes you feel like your in outer space and it makes you wonder about the things out there. It also has really cool features. You could see the planets and information about the planets. You could see the missions and rovers being sent out. It is really cool and interesting. I really recommend this app and you will definitely enjoy it.

From Alan Sheppard to us waving at the international space station over Folly Beach almost directly over head last night I have be a huge fan of NASA. I was there for a few Apollo and one shuttle launch. We drove right up to the gate with a trailerable trimaran . I said we came to see the launch. Turn that thing around. You need a letter from a senator. Opps!! We watched it from the causeway. Once you get the big boy going, I will get that needed permission. Love what you do. Keep up the incredible work. PS. Encourage the young people you know to explore the real application of math and science by exploring the NASA app. From rockets to robotics, there is a need for scientists. I marvel that NASAās rovers have been exploring Mars for decades. This site also reveals what we are learning about Earthās climate and how humans are impacting our only home. The Hubble telescope demonstrates the knowledge that has been gained about the vast Universe using principles of elemental chemistry and Einsteinās theories. Be curious and explore with NASA.

I also love Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin yes I would use this and I can print out some moon/Mars future pictures! Well almost, The app is the best way to find and survey the NASA landscape. Go to āAll Newsā for current activities and links to current events and some historical and biographic stuff mixed in. The āTV and Audioā Tab link you to live and recorded events of note. The āImagesā tab provides a relevant often stunning picture each day. Several other tabs provide great access and content. The āMissionsā tab needs more missions while it provides an overview of many great NASA missions it would be nice to see missions like: Ranger, DSS, and even Galileo represented. Overall Outstanding!

Interesting and entertaining
I especially like the "Missions" section, which have lots of information about NASA missions from Mercury to Insight, A-Z. That is, the history of the earliest missions, as well as the goals and plans for future missions. The various probes on and around Mars and ones heading out of the Solar System (e.g. Voyager), have updates as well.
I have been reading them for a few years now, and I think the addition of the Apollo and other missions in the "space race," which was somewhat before my time (I was a baby when I watched the Apollo 11 moon landing with my parents) made this database much better, and I like the periodic updates.

I love this app at my current age I am only in the seventh grade but Iāve always been interested in furthering my education and being ahead in a way where I can have a successful life, Iām interested in working for nasa when I grow older and being able to learn about there plans and missions is very interesting and helpful, I enjoy learning from this app.

If you love all things NASA this is clearly the #1 app. All missions are listed with information along with top news and on point tracking of the ISS! You can also watch as it treks around the world and get notified when it will be within your view so you can go out and check it out! There is a variety of cool things to check out like pictures of the day along with the ability to watch NASA TV without having to google up articles and hope for working

Works great for me
When I first saw this app with many bad reviews about crashes and trouble using the app, I hesitated even trying it.
When I went ahead anyway to check it out I found that everything works perfectly on my iPhone 6s. Pictures saved without any problems, videos played then returned to play more without a problem, schedules for everything were there any working, everything worked great!

The NASA application is a basic but well designed piece of software that allows users to read and view all information related to the agency whether it be the latest news, videos, images and TV programs. The app is easy to navigate with the main menu listing all categories available to browse so one never has to worry about getting lost. The app also allows users to save images as wallpaper for their device. For anyone interested in man's journey regarding the cosmos the NASA app is a great starting point.

Fabulous
The featured portion of the NASA app was nothing short of fabulous. The information was incredible and very interactive. My favorite part was how clearly listed all of the planets and space modules were laid out. You could see pictures, videos, and fun facts of many different things- so interesting! For a little break the app offers a portion dedicated solely to beautiful images. I expected the app to have more fun activities but the pictures were plenty satisfying.
