Fantastic for art collection!
Love everything about this app. Only thing I found that would be very useful is the ability to format number fields as monetary. It would help distinguish those from tracking and invoice numbers.

I played around and created a database just to see what was available and now I can not delete the database that I created to learn from on my iPhone. Did a search for help and found nothing on deleting a database on an iPhone. Help!

Superior DB App
I love this App for designing my own simple data bases (I already have 7 that I use regularly). This App is simple to use, has multiple data types, automatically tracks creation and edit dates, and is the best thing out there for this purpose.
And the date fields not display consistently was finally fixed.

crashes now - was great way to use access tables
downgraded as latest two versions crash upon importing basic text files into a database... not sure why or what has happened but this now has become unusable for several months..
old review: very fast import, sort and search of access exported tables - works so well for me - for the price it's awesome.

Crashes and glitches.
Crashes during syncs. Little glitches like when adding photos to clients it adds that photo to other clients totally confusing you. Bummed i wasted the money. Would be great with an update to solve those problems.

What's the point?
When I got this I thought it had some way of scanning and copying items into a database; however, it requires you to manually list everything. It is just another way to write things down. What a waste of time!

Crash
I dowloaded this trial and regrets that I bought the iPhone version, after creating 1 database and 1 record with only simple data inside Name and Spouse Name.
Whenever I sync BOTH APPLICATION CRASHES for apparent reason.
Have no idea where is the conflict and why it keeps on crashing on my iMac and my iPhone.

Used to be good
This used to be a handy app, but since updating the iOS, it crashes. A lot. The only way I've found to get it to work is to restore from my backup. But doing this every day is getting old. Please, fix this....

I think this app is going to be very useful. It's nice & crisp & smooth.
Unfortunately, although it still opens reliably, since I installed the latest iOS update, it's crashing every time I try to access one of my entries. Did I read from someone else that the latest iOS update is causing issues? If so, I'm sure you're working on that.
I want to use the app to keep track of my books (among a thousand other things that will surely manifest in future). Will the app export/ import with Excel? Could you add a field for publication date?

Crashes!!!
It is a good place to organize all your collections BUT it crashes every time I add or take a picture!!! It is useful when recording expenses to take a picture of the receipt but annoying to have it crash every single time. It would of been a 5 stars app if it weren't for that.

For free okay as a toy
Was on free promo so checked it out. Pretty interface but not much under the frame. Can't even do three part sums correctly or sum from a calculation. Very limited -- cannot grow beyond juvenile needs & updates (infrequent) show lack of enthusiasm to improve. Tap Forms is much better option IMHO.

Entering record I do and crashed and now I am not able to open any record-initially sent February 8 and still no fix! Waste of money!

Finally something to use on a Mac or iPad/ iPhone.. That is a real challenge to ms access.. This is a hit.. Now get the landscape view fixed for iPad and put MS access in the trash for all apple product users.. Program is the ideal database, works like a dream. data creation and or editing is simple and fast.. Dropbox syncing with iPad was a challenge but it finally worked.. Maybe some improvements for iPad in the future. After all the iPad is a better platform for a database. Thanks.

Just Right
This app works just right for me. I used Bento for years to keep all my clients on my Mac & my phone so that I could quickly refresh my memory before a meeting. I need to be able to sync the two regularly and accurately.
Bento worked fine until FileMaker stopped supporting it. I was nervous about finding something else, but I am so glad I found iDatabase. It works for what I need so much better than Bento ever did. It is easy and enjoyable to use on both my iPhone and my Mac.
The only improvement would be for the support team to be more responsive to questions.

Export Crash?
So far, I generally like the app, but when I attempt to export as csv (Text export) it crashes immediately every time. This is crucial for me since I plan to import this data into an excel record I keep. Please help!
Also, I wish there were some additional ways of doing preset inputs (a button that would give an input form with a number of fields filled in…).

Using it to transition from Bento, which is being discontinued after July 2014. This is a very good, affordable app for basic database management; I recommend it.
I'd have given it 5 stars if only it had some features I've gotten used to from Bento: e.g., display the files by "last name", while ordered by "file numbers", have telephone number field active so touching it dials number.
These few improvements would have secured a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

Functions Inop under iOs7!
Worked great up until iPhone was updated to
iOs7! Now, when you try to select an image to include in a database file; it locks the screen, and this app.; and it can't be opened until you go to Settings, and turn off access to your Camera Roll Photos. With iOS6, it worked fine!

I create a new database, it disappears when I close the app.
I've deleted it (along with all I've already added) and reinstalled. Same.
I wanted to keep track of all my apps not installed on phone; but it looks like this isn't going to be the app for that.

Extremely Useful and Easy to Use
This app is one of my favorites. I can easily keep my ideas organized. It's really easy to use, and I've been wanting a better way of sorting my ideas, and this app does a great job of it. Highly recommended. The only thing I want in the app is the ability to transfer the data directly to my Windows PC.

Five out of five
This app does everything it says it does. It looks prettier than just putting you passwords into notes, and you can passcode lock it. You can choose from different templates, (to be honest a lot of them are useless) and if you don't see the template you are looking for, you can create a new one easily. Keeping track of every password in here is better than doing it in notes, and is much more secure than it. I would definitely recommend this app to all. It is most definitely 99 cents. If you need an upgrade from notes, this is THE upgrade.

Lets you define some data types. However you cannot display sets of records, only one at a time. Cannot order them etc. essentially useless. Check out HandBase, vastly superior

Good for me but...
This works for what I need it for but only 4 stars because it would be helpful if I could insert a PDF. Also another option that would make it easier to navigate once you have many entries is the ability to group entries into collapsible sections. Good so far but keep making it better! Thanks!

A very usable program. I like best of all I've tried.
I needed a simple to use, flexible database management system to help me keep track of a variety of different things; from wine to medical inoculations. I found that this app is flexible enough, and easy enough to let me design what I need without hours of head-scratching.

Not ready for prime time
This is a fairly easy database to use for simple flat database applications; but, it does suffer from a poor entry UI, visually unappealing presentation, and endless crashes with as few as 30 or more records. All in all, this one is not ready for prime time yet

Ok but doesn't export
Developer says current version doesn't export to csv or native format. Supposed to work with Dropbox but only backup works. Synch with Mac version requires bonjour. Don't have, didn't try. So right now, portability is limited. Reports, pretty much not possible. Hopefully fixed in next version, but may rule this out for some.
It's an iPhone app. A little work would make it a decent iPad app.
It has good field definition features which makes data entry easier. It sorts by (only) one field value. It supports iOS copy and paste features (not all apps do).
It has fields for links, email addresses, long text, images and calcs other fields. Supports passwords.
Summary: good features for the money, but current version has flaws. Hopefully they are working on an update for release soon. Developer is responsive to emails, so they are there.
If you need more than a notepad app and you want it to work on a mac (data entry is a lot easier with a real keyboard) this may work for you. The price is right.

I had been looking for a database that was quick and easy to use on the go. I get lots of ideas and have lots of projects do I need to be very organized. I came across this one and it had everything I was looking for.
I can create databases easily and quickly. I can password protect each. I can keep all my online account info with me so I never forget my passwords again.

Awesome app
Awesome app. I was able to import a previous database I created on the pc using a .CSV file. Love the backup through dropbox. Thank you for the new sorting option. This is by far my most used app. kudos!

Good, almost great
Generally it's slick and works well. There are a couple nagging things that, if fixed, would really improve it.
- CSV export ignores the "Include Fields Label" setting, so all you get is a big blob of data with no headers to tell what the data is.
- It'd be nice if I could choose the type of data for the Name field. For tracking daily data, I want the Name field to be a date.

Great little program with room to grow
I love this and been having a lot of fun with it.
I would like to see a multiple select option added, in addition the current one answer option you have already.
That could very well take this already neat program to the next level. An export form option could be even a better add-on.

Nice, Simple, Works
Very nice and complete database app, the dropbox backup/restore and export/import are really nice features,
it appears to have most of the features that Tap Forms has, it's actually easier to use (to both define the fields and then to enter data)
and it's free!
The latest version is much improved, It could use more sorting and filtering options,
and hope they come out with a PC version of the desktop software, but for the price it can't be beat.

A real DBMS.
A real Database Management System on an iPhone? Unbelievable. For 99¢? Really unbelievable. I haven't had the problem with missing or lost data as some have had. And I could export to dropbox in the CVS format. Reviewer Kidslow makes some good points and I expect more from a DBMS, but the App is more than what I expected and more than most other Databases for the iPhone.

Show stopper bug
Like others have mentioned for over a year, this app inexplicably loses the contents of fields. I haven't tried any other of the database templates besides the recipe one, because in that one alone it keeps losing data. I enter 4 fields of data, look at an existing recipe and come back to the one I just entered and everything is home except 1 letter. Kinda useless as a database if it loses the data. Too bad, as I really would like to use it for many things.

Great App. Usefull, complete and easy to use. Cool also the Mac version for Sync my data with my MacBook pro. Very fast in my iPhone 3GS. Now I wait for the iPad version :-)

Terrible
This was a huge waste of money. I am so disappointed. Field info appears and disappears at will. I was hoping to create a client database and that was a joke. You can't even show first and last name in the main screen to search. Plus there is no backup feature. I have hundreds of apps and this by far is the biggest loser of them all. I have never written a negative review on any app till this one.

Info keeps disappearing
This would be a fantastic app if the information I add didn't keep randomly disappearing. I was using it for recipes, but several of my ingredient lists where missing when I went back in to use them. Then a product name would vanish, or some other catagory. All in all, if this were fixed I'd def recommend it to others.

OK...so far
The app is ok. Does exactly what it says. Clean. Stylish. Fast. However, the "data" in the program stays in the program. No export function. No email function. No print. No online backup. It does what it says, but I need some way to get the data out of the phone and use it in other ways.
5 stars if it had an editable backup on line. 4 stars if you could simply export to a csv file.
