This app allows you to track the real-time flight status and tracking map of any commercial flight worldwide. It can also track general aviation (private, charter, etc) in the United States and Canada.

Search by aircraft registration, route, airline, flight number, city pair, or airport code. Tracking data includes complete flight details and full-screen maps with NEXRAD radar overlay.

Push notifications for flight departure/arrival info as well as cancellations, gate changes, delays, and diversions.

Great App but One Annoyance

When creating an account it tells me the email address I’m trying to register with is not a valid email address. I believe this to be because there is a period in my email address prior to the ampersand. Being that most email providers allow periods in their addresses now I think the email address validation method needs updated/changed.

Times screen has less information

In the new version, the times screen does not seem to be showing delay times and expected departure and arrival times as done in the past. Much less information on s provided compared to earlier versions.

Quick to load and quick show the information needed. Graphics are excellent and easy to understand. Whether looking for a particular flight or just want to know what's in the local airspace this is a very handy app.

How can you not filter flights by whether they are direct or not? Certainly some simple enhancements that could greatly improve the app.

Incomplete Flight Tracking

Was trying to follow Orbis1 progress from MEM PTY SCL today. Was able to track Orbis1 as far as PTY but no further. I switched to Flightradar24 and was able to successfully follow Orbis1 all the way through landing at SCL. Flightradar24 is my new “go to” flight following app!

Where are the notifications

Great app but when it tells on the lock screen that there is a new notification it doesn't take you to the notification when you tap it and there doesn't appear to be a way to get to the notifications in the app, only the alert settings.

Accuracy

It used to be highly accurate. But now, I can literally watch a flight go right over my house and it shows nothing on the map. (Not Military or police helicopters)

So it’s rather disappointing now. I’ve checked every setting, but the planes just don’t show at all.

Falling behind FlightRadar24

I have been a faithful user of this app for many years, and it is unfortunate that only recently you are able to see more aircraft for a particular airport from your mobile phone while on your desktop you can see everything. The app is getting better, but I find myself using Flightradar24 more.

Update 2019

I have seen updates like this many times, The developer fixes something but changes other things to make the app less user-friendly. I find this update difficult to navigate and it is hit or miss on whether the app tells you where the flight is going to and from and only shows the airport ID which I don’t have 20,000 IDs memorized. Like so many other app updates that supposedly improve but makes it useless I am now deleting this app and will not buy the $200 flight aware program.

Couldn’t Track Flights

All you can enter is a city name for flight tracking and it just shows the city information, no route selection. If I enter the correct flight number it shows one obscure flight from Amarillo. Not helping at all. Flight Tracker app is much better.

Fun app!

I live on a flight path in Indiana that a lot of 747 cargo jets use flying into O’Hare. It’s fun to watch them approach on the Flight Aware screen only to look up and see them fly over. It’s also fun to track flights by nearby contrails and determine where they came from and going to.
