Fun but glitchy
The game is a blast but will not save my progress. If I close the app I have to start over. I am using a fully updated iPhone 6.

Great game but doesn't save progress
I love this game and have played it since it came out. How ever, since I downloaded it on my iPhone 6 it will never save my progress. Having to start over every time I want to play makes this game very agitating to play.

Disappointed long time user
iBomber no longer works with the current iOS. Progress is not saved and any previously saved progress is lost. Very disappointed that a great game has been abandoned by the developers.

No saving?
This is a very fun game, but every time I relaunch the app, I have to enter my name again and start from the first mission. This is only avoidable by keeping the app running in the background all the time and revisiting it frequently. Very annoying.

Ibomber
No stars!!!! (I had to give a star to write the review) for the ibomber app that is not compatible with the current IOS. Because it's Dev team says its "too hard". The app dev tells me that they can't or won't support this app. Why is it still available for sell if it will not save any data from previous games ????

Great motion control game!
Great graphics and motion control. A little pricy at 2.99, but I think it was worth it. Plenty of levels and awards to keep you challenged for a while.

Please update or release a new mission packs
I have had this game for a while and really do enjoy it. I wish the company would return to this game and give us more updates and missions. Tower gamers are fine and I do get bored with them since you make one move and wait. There's something satisfying about being able to drop a bomb on something to help with the stress relief.

It's a good game despite the price. It needs more levels and gamecenter. The levels are boring once you keep playing them over and over again.

So much potential, yet.......
Two major gripes: first, the game gets ridiculously difficult after the first 8 or 9 missions. I mean I'm all for a challenge, but you basically have 0 chance of survival or of saving your friendlies during the dreaded "protection" types if missions. (The WORST type of game missions ever conceived BTW). This games quickly goes from being very fun to extremely frustrating, ruining a otherwise great game. If there was better or more life, this would have been a more enjoyable experience.
Also, the developer has simply stopped updating this game back in 2011. As a result, the game is based on old iPhone technology (made for iPhone 3GS) and is NOT retina screen-compatible. Even after Apple mandated that developers at least update app's icons to retina, this developer ignored, and the iBomber app icon is all pixelated and hacked on iPhone 4S. Developer has basically quit on this app, so don't expect any future upgrades or updates. Pretty lame. (Buy this at your own risk. You've been warned.)

Good Game
I just bought this game today and love it! ONLY problem I have is that you get shot up no matter what you do, and health is found seldom. I ALWAYS fly at full speed and my health is continuously getting depleted. Add more health!!!!! Rating it one star so they can see this. PLEASE FIX!!!

Motion controls too innaccurate
Title says it best. The game has some sloppy input as far as motion controls go with tilting the device to turn. It just doesn't feel or move right you end up missing most moving targets unless they're going in a straight line and even stationary targets are a chore to line up before you can drop you bomb. In a game with heavy firepower coming at you with moderately found health refills, and stages where you need to defend convoys against a fast moving enemy it turns into a game of anger and frustration over what it could have been.
I'm glad I got this on a freebie day as I'd be furious if I paid for this hot mess.

Fun game - Addicting
This is really pretty fun. It's a pretty difficult game to win, but that's part of the fun. All the people who are complaining about it being too hard must have a short attention span and don't believe in practice. It's a game that requires skill, which can only be had by playing it more than 2 mins. One of the best free games I've downloaded.

Very difficult to maneuver, missions are over way too fast, objectives targets are obscure; like the idea, like the graphics but the game is hugely too fast and cumbersome for iPhone screens. Maybe on iPad so you can see more of the battlefield and have more time to maneuver and aim.

Fun game, but the difficulty curve ramps a bit too sharply.
I really enjoy this game. The early missions are challenging and it is easy to get used to the control. I do feel that the difficulty jumped exponentially on the 9th level. I have never really liked protection missions, but it is part of the game. I would like to see the difficulty dialed back a bit. It seems as if you don't get hits on every drop, you get swarmed. It is no fun to hit a wall after so many fun levels. Definitely worth playing.

Great design, and a fun game
For the graphics and game concept it was a great game. You just need to play it a little while to get the hang of it. Once you understand where the bomb is actually going to hit it's a fun game and challenging. I would like it better if I could control the throttle myself with the left hand instead of having to tilt the itouch forward and back. I felt like I was having to hunch over all the time to just play the game. Just put a throttle on there and I think it will make it easier for steering. All in all, it was a challenging game. Good work

I love this game, from the tilt speed control, the different bombs, the powerups. It's awesome. Two problems: 1) the game often crashes at startup if I don't have a network connection of some kind. This started after I bought the mission pack 1. 2) the mission pack only had 2 missions! Check out the awesome (free) updates from finger phyics to see how this could be done. I don't mind paying a little for mission packs, but how about at least 7-10? Loved the game. Now waiting for mission pack 2, though if it's only 2 again, I'll have to think hard about it.

Great game!!
Loved the free version, then bought the full game for $3. Well worth it. Also paid the $.99 for the mission pack. Got all 4 medals on every level but one. Seems to be impossible to get all the ships on the 2nd mission of the mission pack. Can only get 87%. It looks like there are 2 ships just off the screen east of the airfield. Messed up my perfect game!!

This game is so awesome!! When I got it I just assumed it was like all the other free apps-the first level free then you get spammed with ads telling you to upgrade to the paid version, but this is like the entire game for free. And it's totally awesome and addicting. My favorite app, had it for about a week now and it still entertains me. I highly recommend at for anyone looking for a free awesome game.

Only 3 because I don't like the "upgrade" which is more like a down grade. I have to pay more money for 2 missions?!?!?! Why? I already bought the app. This is a bad marketing scheeme. I also don't like the fact that half of the time I can't even play because of the crash while it loads. I usually have to try three times to actually play. Then each time I get to play I have to enter my iTunes password to play, and for each failed attempt too!! So I do like the actual game, when I get to actually play!

I will give this game 5 stars easily, but not before the developer provides for free the updates. The game itself is great but it is priced TOO HIGH ... on top of this, the developer charges another $0.99 for just 2 extra missions ?!?!?!? ... this is unaceptable!
I have already finished the original 14 missions and would love to play some new ones ... but not at the expense of an extra $0.99 when I already paid $2.99 for the game. I will not comment on the disastrous update and lack of quick response from part of the developer. If this developer shows any appreciation for their loyal customers and changes their current polices, then i will continue suporting the brand and purchase other games from the company; I will as well update my review and give it a 5 stars. ... for now just 2 stars :( ... really a shame.

Nice game
Let me start off by telling you that I love this game. The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is challenging. Although I can't ever seem to accomplish a 90% accuracy rate AND destroy everything in sight! But that's just me being greedy. Anyway, kudos to your team on creating a great game.
That said, I noticed something odd with the latest in-app purchase. Specifically in "Pontoon". I've played this multiple times and have destroyed everything I can find yet I can only ever achieve 87% of ships sunk... And yes, the carriers are the first targets I go after.
One last thing (and this isn't a bug) but $0.99 seems a little steep for just two missions that are actually pretty easy compared to some of the others. Just sayin'...
Are you working on a level where train yards are more of a focus? Or how about one in a winter landscape (which would be more of a land-based European theater but would still be cool).

Great game! A few thoughts...
I got this game when it was free. It was an obivous steal at the time. I think it's worth $2.99 at most. Even so, I think $0.99 is a bit much for a 2 pack. Maybe if it was a 5 pack I would be willing to purchase it. Just a tad steep for a few minutes of play. Also, I've noticed that my iPod App, whether I use it during the game or not, is still running after I close iBomber. Sounds like an issue to me. I don't want that running in the background eating up resources and battery life when I'm not actively using it. FYI, I'm using a 3GS with 3.1.2. Thanks for the great game!

So many 5 star reviews! Something underhanded is going on. Who could be happy paying for nearly nothing that doesn't work.
I can hardly believe the gall of this company. The new "levels" for $.99 are NOT levels......it's two SINGLE missions. If it were two new LEVELS with multiple missions, then OK...it would be worth the money. Paying for two single missions is absurd. These guys are near criminals.....frauds at best. This is stealing money from customers for no value. The Apple store should have better quality control....this game started out great....but the company has turned it into JUNK.

Love the game
This is one of my favorite ipod games.
The good:
-The music is a perfect choice as it doesn't get old quick and you can play your own music in-game if you wish
-There is a good assortment of maps in the root version and they include some fairly challenging ones to get through
-The graphics are well done with nice detail and game play is smooth (G3 Touch)
Possible additions or enhancements:
-It would be nice if health upgrades would last a little longer when displayed (they currently disappear if you move off screen), long enough to permit looping back for them
-The destroyed big guns should look more damaged to help differentiate them from active but lightly damaged ones.
-Would love to see a European theater version of the game with rail lines (escaping enemy troops or hauling weaponry), tanks, air fields, pill boxes, etc.

Favorite iPhone Game
UPDATE: I just removed 3 of the original 5 stars I gave this game, as it now asks for my iTunes password EVERY time I launch it. Unacceptable! This needs immediate attention.

I've killed hours playing this game. The replayability factor is off the charts. Even after successfully completing a mission, I want to go back and see if I can sink a higher percentage of ships or take out more targets or up my bombing accuracy numbers.
Many here complain this game is too hard, but that's what makes it fun. Invest a little time... Learn it and it's a much more rewarding experience. Games you can master the first time you play burn out fast!
Lastly, the sound and graphics of this game are among the best I've seen on iPhone (3GS). It's fun with headphones. Now if I can steal my phone back from my six-year-old, it's time to embark on another mission.

Hurray! Updates to allow me to pay to play more!
I paid for this game a long time ago. Purchasers were promised more content would be added. It finally gets an update and all that is added is the opportunity to BUY MORE. I'd just as soon buy a new game for the cost. I'm disenchanted with the new trend of developers never bothering to update their apps except to add new ways to take your money for nothing of particular worth. Now I know why they drop the price to "free" every once in a while. Original customers don't matter, they just want to recruit players who will pay for the in-app content.
No updates improving controls or new content for original purchasers. No more support from this user.

Great Game!
Most of the negative reviews of this stellar game are idiots that either can't handle a challenge, can't read directions, or have no concept of pre-Vietnam War military technology (and/or physics). To the first I say "go play games for kids then", to the second I'd say "it's pretty F'ing obvious, just 'tap' the powerups to get them, you don't have to fly into them", and to the third, I'd say "(a) you're flying a plane that turns gradually - there is no 'reverse', this is not a helicoptor, AND (b) you're dropping bombs from at least 10-20,000 feet, so the release point must be ahead of your target depending on your velocity. DUUUUUHHHHH!!!!"
This is a fantastic game and really doesn't deserve the high numbers of 1 and 2 star reviews. Don't be fooled! It's awesome!

Wow kids
Some things that people don't seem to understand:
Bombs don't drop straight down. They keep going in the direction you are flying as well as down, as per Newton's 1st Law of Motion. Lead the target.
This game is by no means difficult. If getting overwhelmed is your problem, try retreating and waiting until a large group of enemies disperses or go find a straggler to hopefully find some health or a better bomb. Don't go rushing in to a group of 6 battleships like an idiot. Tap upgrades to get them.
Flashy gadgets like targeting systems, maps, and objective indicators above buildings were purposely left out to preserve realism. WW2 pilots didn't have all of that; they bombed what they could see, had to make judgements considering a bomb doesn't drop straight down, and had to rely solely on radar or visuals to see their objectives.

This game is the best game ever it it so addicting. When you first play it it is really hard and you think it is a terrible game. But once you understand the controls a little better it becomes really fun. There is no gory stuff, it is totally wholesome. When you are really good at it, it is fun to go back to level one and destroy everything including the trees. There are infinate bombs for the normal bombs and upgrades for bombs. You might get frustrated if you are no good at it or you keep losing. But compared to the other reviews that say it is bad they just don't get the controls. If you read the controls before every mission you will understand it quicker. Hope this was helpful. Have fun playing it.

Great game
Simple controls, lots of levels, and reasonably good graphics. Easily worth $0.99-$1.99.
I beat every level except for the 'Heart of the Storm' level with the super battleship. If you think that this game is impossible, think about what I wrote.
Remember... You get powerups with your FINGER. You don't bomb them.
Those of you who want the bombs to fall straight down and for the game to have no one shooting at you are incredibly stupid... what sort of game would that be? You'd get bored in a minute.

Great game - read all instructions
Yes, it takes some time to get used to the game play. But, once you figure it out, it's great. Especially, once you figure out how to take out a battleship with a big bertha.
One thing that could be modified are the life tokens or special bombs. If those could stay another second, just to grab them would help.
I've completed the game. I was surprised to see the 13th level was a bit more difficult than the 14th.

Deserves better ratings!
This game is quite fun and addicting! I really don't have any problems with it. Most reviews with bad ratings are usually just stupid people who can't figure things out. And it helps to read the instructions before you play (just a bit) so you can know how to get extra health and better bombs. This game is good looking and fun. Easily 5 stars!

INCREDIBLE
This game is so easy to use with just two buttons, and the physics in this game is great, letting the bomb keep moving after being deployed. Also the powerups are easy to get but with only 3 powerups the game gets slightly bland after the first 3 missions, but it is still incredible addictive and challanges your fighting skills. GET THIS GAME WHILE IT IS FREE if you have free space on your iPod get it, and if u don't, make room, you'll be glad you did

I'm not sure why some people hate this game, but it's awesome! People are comlaining about how the controls are hard to use? There are two buttons: a menu switch and a "bombs away" button. And you tilt to steer! How hard can it be? Other people are saying it's too hard to hit anything? Maybe with the mega bomb, but in real life, bombs don't go straight down like in the movies. This game was based before the nuclear bomb was created! Bombs didn't drop as fast as they do today. And those people who say it is "impossible" to get powerups? You have to tap them, anybody read the instructions (directed toward people who complain about this game)?

Fantastic app!
This game is great. Reminds me of the good old days on 640x480 @ 256c when pixels really mattered!
My only problem with the app is that you have to physically rotate to move about, and while that works great when you're sitting down it's really uncomfortable to play when you're lying on a couch.
Other than that one small complaint it's a 5 star app as it has tons of polish and replay value!

Why does this game have only a 3-star average? It deserves better!!
Some have complained about the aiming, but it seems fine to me. You have to judge your speed to determine where the bomb will land. Slow down and it will hit closer to your crosshairs, speed up and you need to lead your target more. Simple. The bomb power-ups are a nice addition here as well.
I'm not sure how much replay value this game has once you complete the missions, that's the only reason it doesn't get 5-stars from me.

Amazing.... Don't listen to negative reviews
This game is pretty realistic and really fun, especially for free. All you people saying the bombs should fall straight down obviously don't have the common sense to know that a plane moving at high speeds can't drop something at a completely different speed. That is what makes the game hard. This game is a challenge and that is what makes it fun.

I don't understand people that complain about the game being too difficult. It's better than making it so easy that you beat it in an hour and delete it. This game is awesome! I can't believe some of the reviews are saying it's so difficult, impossible, etc. It was a little tricky at first, like most other good games, but you get the hang of it fairly quickly and then it's just plain fun trying to master it and when you finally do, it's like a whole other game, a really fun one! And all this, for free? It rarely gets as good as this and even more rare do you find one better! I really wish there were more levels, hopefully in an update soon! I'm having tons of fun with the levels provided but you can never get too much of a great game! Kudos to the developers, you all did a superb job, in my opinion, GIVING us this gem! Can't wait for more more more content. If anyone is wondering if this one is worth the precious space on your Iphone/Ipod, trust me, it is more than worth it, heck I would even pay for this one so grab it up while it's free!!! Surprised by how polished it is
I got the game because it was free. I wasn't expecting much, but this game is really thought through. Polished graphics and gameplay. It's simple, but challenging. It's not hard, but it does take getting used to. Losers complain about accuracy, not realizing that you need to drop them early depending on your speed (the momentum is carried to the bomb). And getting power ups and health are easy: just tap on the icon! The Aces (spades) bomb is the best; it nearly hits where the cross hair is. There's the "big boy" which is slow to fall, but can wipe out an entire island of AAAs. And the triple reds are great for a bomb run. Graphics, Gameplay, and Length. Replay value: ; there's medals to earn, and you won't likely get them all in the first run. It doesn't get old, though. Enjoy!

Beautiful game
Wonderful game. It took me a couple of levels to get a hang of the controls. I too was getting frustrated that the bombs do not fall at the place where u actually drop them, but then I realized that it wa intentional. For those who r whining abt it, u will notice that the black "ace" bombs do just that; they fall at exactly the same spot at which u release them. The green bombs r meant to work the way they do and that itself adds to the challenge. Love it! Haven't yet beaten "the last stand" and the "scorpion fortress" but all others r done and were a Loy of fun. More levels pls :)

Truly epic, but...
This game is amazing, I would of payed for it but got it free. However, it's FLIPPIN impossible to get the power ups. You see one and by the time you get to it it's gone. It's like the developers are sitting there with a button that makes the things go away when you get close to them. I think the difficulty is where it should be, if you could get the power ups that is. But all in all this game is amazing. One of the best uses of the accelerometer.

To any skeptics...
Don't believe any of these idiots who are complaining about this FREE game. The controls become easy very quickly, and you can even adjust the tilt sensitivity. About the power up complaints, you have to tap them, not bomb them or something. As for the people who complain about how the bomb drops, boo-hoo for it trying to be a bit realistic. If it bugs you that bad then get the power up that let's the bombs drop straight down!

Fun game
With great graphics and smooth, glitch-free gameplay. There's a slight learning curve, no doubt, but once you get the hang of the controls, this is very fun game. It's easy to pick up & play, but quite hard to master. Even though it has a war-based theme (you're a bombardier), the game itself is clean. No blood/gore here. You don't have to be a military or aviation enthusiast to enjoy this.

Fun but a bit repetative
Don't pay attention to the naysayers as most of the complaints are from people who didn't take the time to read the tutorial (you have to touch the power ups with your finger to recieve them) or just silly like the game is too dark (try turning up your brightness, genius)
The game is fun and intuative but gets difficult in the later levels and the game is pretty much the same through out. It can be frustrating when power ups just aren't working your way, however the game is addicting and most of all fun.
$2.99 is a fine price to charge for te experience, and if there's ever a sequel that changes up the game a little, count me in.

Worth every penny...
I bought this game just looking for something fun. It wasn't just fun. This game rarely gave in and the goals and gameplay challenged me with every mission. The game graphics/artwork are quite good as well. iBomber is a great way to pass the time while still getting a chance to use your head. Just buy it. Plain snd simple. It will be at the top of your short list when thing begin to drag.
I am looking forward to iBomber2 "Strike at Dawn: D-Day" lol OK, no seriously.

Maybe the best.
I have about 15 games on my iPhone, all "top rated." I think ibomber might be the best. I just finished the campaign and can't wait to play through it on elite. Anyone who says it's "too hard" or "you can't get power ups" doesn't have the patients to appreciate such an amazing game. Sure some levels took me 30 attempts but that's what I loved about it. This game kept me coming back.

One of my most enjoyable iPhone games
This is such a polished game with gorgeous graphics and fantastic spacial sound effects. This game was designed for the iPhone and it tells. For those finding it difficult, and there are challenging levels, I have a few hints. When targeting your bombs you need to adjust your speed by how you tilt the screen, and figure which targets to bomb first. Always be sure to tap the red crosses to stay alive. This is a game I have found myself playing over and over again. I hope for more missions in the future.

Good game
My initial thoughts are that it's probably a game that should be sold for $.99 instead of $2.99, but then I remember days of buying super-crappy games for almost $10 each for my old phones, and I realize this isnt a bad deal after all. Fun game to play. Balanced in terms of it's easy to learn to play, but challenging enough where you won't beat it in the first day most likely. I like WW2 stuff. This game tries to make you feel lilke you're a bombadier in a WW2 bomber. Overall, I recommend buying this application if you like WW2 games.

Some days... you just want to drop BOMBS !!!
If you ever had a bad day at the office, iBomber is an inexpensive way to vent your frustrations --and its actually a lot of fun too!
I have had this game for well over a month and it remains to be one of my favorite time killers. The tilt sensitivity can be adjusted, which turns out to be one of the coolest features for the game. I can play it at just about any angle, but the later missions may require you to sit up and pay closer attention.
Well worth the price of admission. Can't wait to see what else comes out of Cobra Mobile!

Excellent graphics and sound effects
I try to get the apps which are most realistic. This one is probably the best I have in my limited library of games. It is challenging but reasonable once one has applied themselves to surpass the various objectives. I do recommend the full version. It is a good value as many other apps are sold for the same price with quite a lot less quality. I am looking forward to the upgrades.

A nice little mission game....
This game has very nice graphics. this game has challenging missions. This game is hard to master ..., yet has tons of replayability. Bombs away on your targets without getting shot down yourself....a simple premise, Right? iBomber is a pleasing application that can be as frustrating for some as rewarding to others. But together, all will have a visually fun time with this game. The "lite" version doesn't do this game any justice....this full version is really good.

Crappy instructions and controls setup
The game is pretty fun, very hard, but fun. They have a very poor set of instructions for the game, very little detail. What kills me is that it says you can adjust the tilt controls (which control the speed) in the "Controls Calibration Screen" but despite being a pretty smart guy, I have not for the life of me been able to find this freakin' screen! I also find the game pretty challenging (not necessarily bad) because in most cases you have to drop the bombs before the target is in the sight. Finally, the graphics are good, but "dark" in general. There's not enough contrast between the targets and background sometimes.

Fun!!!
After owning iBomber for over a week I still give it 5 stars. Great game! Good use of the accerometer with nice graphics and sound.
I would like to see a practice map that is target-friendly (lots of em) to get used to the different types of bombs. Takes a while to know how much to lead for each type. Also, would like to make the bomb button a wee bit bigger. I have gotten lined up several times and missed the button. Having the option to toggle between bombs would be great. There are times when the cluster bombs or the big bertha are not what you need. It would be great to collect them and use them when you need them. Overall, a very good game and well worth the $3. Lots of replay value.

WOW!!! Feature to change weapon?
Great game. Thanks. Differs from all games on iTunes. I was waiting for something like this.
The maps are fun too because there are a few maps that isn't just bombing stuff. For example, one map we have to blow things ahead fast so the 18 ships can pass safe. so developer if u can pls add more interesting maps like this.
Also, we should be able to change weapons so we dont have to waste them. We can then be more effective.
And, u guys can add people that shoot and cars driving around shooting us as well, so we have to blow them up too. That would be nice. Also, we can have a machine gun where we touch the screen and it shoots the machine gun on the land, lets say to kill the people and blow up trucks.
Anyway, Great start im really happy. A definite must buy! And a definite 5! At least worth 3 dollars!

Very nice, but difficult
Maybe I'm alone here, but I found this game to be very hard.
First, the good. This is a well-executed 2-d flyover game in which the player has particular targets to bomb and power ups to find in the process. The sounds are great, the backgrounds are detailed enough to find targets, and the controls are surprisingly responsive.
Now the bad: when your bombs hit their marks, it's a beautiful thing, but when they don't, and particularly when you can't dart across the map fast enough to ding the baddies, it's very frustrating. I'm sure I need some practice, but even after the first map, the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly.
Still, it's a unique use of the motion control and an overall fun experience.
Now, the bad... or at least, the I-had-trouble-with. Between the controls and the timing, this is a game of precision and expert timing. Maybe I'm used to more forgiving games, but I found even early levels of iBomber to be very challenging. Your mileage may vary.
Upshot: for the price, this is a great addition to your game library.
