Description
Off Remote lets you turn off, lock, sleep, log off and restart a PC or Mac directly from your iDevice.
Forgot to turn off the office computer? No need to get up. Want to stop the kid's marathon computer sessions? Do it remotely.
The timer function lets you set Off to trigger up to 24 hours in the future so you can set a computer to automatically turn off after a task such as completing a download or upload or to automatically lock at a certain time to limit a child's screen time.
If you want to know whether the computers in your house are turned off - you can check from your iDevice.
If you use a computer to stream videos or audio to your living room, then you can turn it off when you are finished without getting out of the sofa.
If you forget to turn things off at night then you can turn them off from wherever you are in the house.
It's simple to use. It's very handy. It saves you the effort of walking to your computer!

Bad Support
After the update to sierra, there is a bug that makes it impossible for the program to use. I contacted support and received this response. Here is the conversation:
I'm afraid I haven't had time to investigate this further so I can't give you any more info.
If you feel that you have been mis-sold, then the best bet will be to contact Apple to ask for a refund (I have no power to give refunds myself).
Sorry I don't have a better answer.

Very pleased/satisfied
This app works flawlessly. I first used the free version, I liked it so much that I decided to buy and help support you guys. I highly recommend this app. Oh and also I would like to suggest perhaps in the new update or even if your planning on updating this I would very much appreciate it if you where able to integrate this with amazon's echo/echo dot thanks.

Flawless!!
If you have VLC remote, you need this handy little app as well. After you are done watching a movie you simply shut off your computer with this app. You don't even have to get up. It's the ultimate in anti-fitness.

Very Happy With App
I use this app to limit my son's PC time and it works great. I have two feature requests. One is to configure automatic warning messages that go out periodically. My other request is to extend the control to Apple devices. I would happily pay more for both features. Great App.

Great remote app
I use this along with Remote Desktop and Mocha Wake on LAN (mwol) to remotely control two desktops over wifi from my phone. Also lets me shut the computer off when the kid's screen time is up.

Last update broke the app
It worked perfectly UNTIL your August 14th 2015 update that you put out. Now when i try to send a command to sleep or power off using the app, NOTHING happens. Please fix this

📢 Not Good, Please Read
📢 It really messed up my PC, I had to uninstall and then reinstall some of my Applications on my PC that Wi-Fi affiliate it due to app HOGGING All of the resources Wi-Fi Applications needed to run.

Needs helper app
There are free pieces of software that do the same thing and don't need yet another piece of software installed on your PC. MS Remote Desktop can COMPLETELY control your windows machine, is free, and written by Microsoft. Mac remote control is tricker, but it also always remote power on functions. All in all, this app is ok, but I don't do apps that need "helpers," since you don't know precisely what info they are/aren't sending out to the Internet. Helper apps can EASILY be spyware in disguise, even though the author didn't design it as such.

Kids hate it, we love it,
Great app that gives parents control of kid's computer time. Tell them they have 20 minutes, set the app, and listen for the scream for when the computer locks. The kids can go read a book or something.....

Malware Detected!
Microsoft Security Essentials detected a trojan "hroosguy.dll" after installing the accompanying desktop software for this app which proceeded to infect and cripple my system. If you value the security of your machine and the data on it, stay clear of this app.

Brilliant!
I was looking for an app that would let me shut down my kid's computer from downstairs after hollering like an idiot for the fifth time and getting nowhere. This does that and more. The ability to send a warning message and set a timer are awesome features. This is going to save me and my wife's vocal cords and politely but firmly set boundaries for my kid. Nice work!

Great app
Have a htpc tucked away in a corner connected by a long hdmi cable to the living room tv. This app is great for putting it to sleep if left logged on - no need to turn tv on and go through he steps to make it sleep, much quicker to check if it is awake from this app and make it sleep.

Greatest App Ever!
By far this is the best app I have ever purchased. I have bought many but this is the first that delivers on what it promises. It's nice to be able to turn off kids computers who fall asleep and leave them on.

Will now put computer to sleep for 30 seconds and then turns back on magically. Other options (off, restart, etc) either do same or nothing at all.

Works as advertised
I like to play music through my desktop computer speakers running an airplay simulator. My phone is synced with my laptop which has all my music so this is the most efficient way I could control what is played on my desktop from bed. I set a timer with this app so that after I fall asleep my computer isn't running all night. Works just as advertised without and glitches. Just download a helper program on your pc so that the remote can see it and send the shutdown command. Can recommend for $3 but would be nice to see it at $1.

The app works perfectly. I have them paired with my home workstation and use it when I am watching movies or tv shows and am lazy to get up and turn of the screen or computer.
The only thing I would want to add is being able to remotely turn my computers off when I am away from the wifi the computer is on.

I do wish the wol feature worked better. I know it's an unadvertised free feature, but if it worked, this would make the iPhone into the ultimate media center remote.

Works when it wants to. The free version worked more often. If you use this you'll have to double check to make sure the computer is off. I use (try) it with 2 PCs and an iMac. This app doesn't function well for either of them.
UPDATE:
stopped working on me. Doesn't login to any of my computers any longer. Ah well. Guess I should have read the reviews. Back to VNC and logmein. I thought I could find a better solution that's faster.

Yet another winner!
Hobbyist software has got to be one of my favorite iPhone software companies for the fact that they create simple, easy-to-use and yet feature packed applications. This application is great and I recommend it to anyone thinking they might need a way to turn their computer off.
Only thing I wish for is a built in wake-over-LAN. If I could wake my computer from sleep while in this program, that'd be great!

Great app!!
I just love this app. I have a multi computer household and it is VERY convienient to own this app. Instead of getting up out of bed or coming back inside or while in the car about to leave... I can just go through the list of computers and make sure they are in the mode I wish to leave them in! Very cool. It's a must have for those who have multiple computers in thier network. Parents too, you can turn off your kids computer if they won't!!! Also, EXCELLENT support from app author. I had a very minor issue with my install and contacted the author. I wasn't ignored and he didn't stop communications untill I was satisfied. EXCELLENT APP!!!!

Disconnects after command sent
Ok so I use this for 2 computers. 1 for a old windows 2000 pc which is my dads and one windows vista pc which is mine. Wehn I use this with the windows 2000 pc it works fine and never disconnects, but when I send a command to my windows vista such as "sleep". Right after I send the command the pc disconnects with the app/fone, but my dads old pc doesn't have tht problem. And when I send the sleep or hibernate command my pc sleeps and or hibernates for about 30 secs and then the screen just turns itself right back on. I want to turn my pc off in bed without walking to the pc itself and holding the off button for 5 secs to turn it off. Fix this and itl deserve 4 stars. Get a " turn pc on" button and it wil get 5 stars. Thank you very much

I use it for my HTPC. Works like a charm. Very easy to setup and run. For all those people that think it will just magically turn off your PC, you need to realize that there is a server application that needs to be running on the PC you want to remotely shutdown, restart, lock, or logoff.

I love this utility! This coupled with my iTunes Remote allows me to listen to music anywhere in the house then shutdown on my way outside. Plus I can check to see if I accidentally left my Mac on too. Fabulous!

Not only is it convenient for turning off your PC, but if you unknowingly install it on someone elses computer, you can shut it off without them every knowing! It's hilarious I promise! Hahahaha ;)

Worked once
This app needs work. Everytime I use it it added another line for the same computer. It was at 7 the last time I checked it won't save the passWord Error messages flashing Wow what a POS. Such a simple program and they couldn't get it right

This is really great it's just a little shutdown menu to make things more convenient should you have the need. Works flawlessy with no wait time. The software is a no brainer. If you can make it to the website just download it and run it, enter a password and it disappears. Then download this app and everything just works by itself from there on out! Perfect! Worth a buck for anybody who ever leaves their computer on at all. Thanks.

Fantastic app!
This is a simple, easy app that anyone with a computer will appreciate. Setup is dead simple, and it works great with all of my PCs (XP, Vista, and 7). It's great to have total control of my PC's power state from anywhere in my house.
