Description
Turn a property deed or legal description into a plat drawing.
Supports many units of measurement. Including: feet, meters, and varas.
Calculates the area, perimeter and closing error of the plot.
Includes the ability to auto-complete a tract if the last call isn't defined.
Want to do even more with the plotted tract? Files can be sent and received via email to and from the computer version of Metes and Bounds.
Provides X,Y coordinates for the tracts endpoints.
Have some old family land maps from your genealogy searches? Plot them using measurements such as rods, chains and spans.
Realtors can use this application to quickly show potential buyers what a piece of property looks like.
Please note: Does not support descriptions based on section calls.

Great for checking legals
I'm a Prof. Land Surveyor and was looking for a way to quickly check legal descriptions for closure without needing my computer. This works great! Only thing I wish it did was export to a cad format like DXF.

Great app, PC version is great. I highly recommend this for anyone needing to create a property bounds map. I also often use it when checking boundaries in field. Only wish that app could enter data in 0-360 like PC version.

This is amusing, big hi five for this app, is really good for all those landman out there, have to work a little in som bugs though.

handy tool for computing area
I needed a tool to compute the area of acreage from metes and bounds. This tool got the job done. The only limitation is there is not a way to save and recall data sets for diffferent parcels and then call them back up if a change is needed. It remembers the last data set entered, and does have the ability to export to PDF.

Label on the lines?
This is a very basic deed plotter. For the money there are some improvements that could be made that would make it much more worth the money plus more useable. They are
1: Show the point number on the screen
2: Be able to enter a call by turned angle off a line
Positive number for angle right or negative for angle left
3: Most critical. Auto label the line. It's VERY inconvenient to
Have to go back and forth between plot view and call list view
4: The ability to make the 1st point any coordinate desired
As a professional land surveyor these suggestions would make this
App much more useful and shouldn't be too much to ask for the price

Great App for Abstractors/Landmen
This app has come in handy so many times I've lost count. By having this on my phone it keep me from having to lug my laptop or iPad to the courthouse everyday. I love being able to "plat on the go" and not have to wait until I get back to my computer just to find out I've been running the wrong pure of land. The version for my MacBook is great as well, way more user friendly than greenbrier graphics. Some quibbles with but nothing major enough to make me say anything horribly negative about it. If you have a need for this program, buy it, it saves so much time!!!!!

Metes and bounds
For the price, it's great. They have several updates that make it better.
My coworkers in the courthouse keep borrowing my my iPhone and iPad to do their plotting.
The new feature that you can email all the info to your computer and print it out is nice but for some reason, the plat does not always print. Maybe a bug in my email. Definitely worth getting.

Very good app for the money
I bought this to check a surveyor's area calculation as it did not seem right. It was off a couple of tenths - in my favor so I think the app is great. I used to use an program on a PC, but this is much easier to use. A great value and I would give it a five if the email contained the text info and plat together. Currently you have to send 2 separate emails.

Great!
Works great for working in the courthouses of East Texas. I have it on my iPad and iPhone. Comes in handy, but would be great if it could save to PDF.

Need better GUI and more tools as its desktop version
This is a very basic and plain version of the desktop application so hopefully the GUI for data input and tools will be migrated as it is, it is very slow to input data manually and there are practically no COGO and drawing tools Since the developer has a very good desktop version I am sure it wont be long to make these improvements

Abstractor
Purchased this app not long after it first came out. It was missing a few vital features then. Now that the email calls & enter curve info, it is a MUST HAVE for any professional landman or abstractor. Great for being in a pinch. You won't disappointed.

Needs a few more features
Great app, but greatly needs curve function.....also needs to show call values for auto close.... Also needs an autofill for unknown value in call sequence, ex; ( input "?" )

It is very handy. Works just fine. Only drawback is you cannot enter curves. This action would put this app over the top.

Worth the money!
I was a little worried that I wouldn't like this. It's great! I do tons of plotting at the courthouse. No more plotting at home in the evenings.
