No longer works
App no longer opens at all. Seems the recent update broke the app. Frankly it’s been a lot less fun and more annoying since the recent change a month or two back.

Revision of previous review: Update awful
My first review: “First, it appears almost all of my previous stats were discarded. I want to know how many of each level have been played, and that’s gone. You cannot save your progress to Apple, only to FB and Google. There is an elusive league now that you are in. I started in the Bronze league at the bottom, and it’s not clear how you advance through leagues. There are no help files to explain that. Since I have played over 1200 words, I’ve lost a lot of data apparently. Also, words were beginning to repeat pretty obviously. How many times did I see “ultra” or “setup” repeated? So they need to expand their base dictionary. I see many new ways that the developer is trying maximize monetization of the app. I guess it’s hard argue with that, but it’s a distraction and inconvenience. I would say the game went from an unequivocal 5 to a 2 or 3. Why didn’t they just make a second version?”
However, now I am lowering my review to 1. Because the answers have become impossible. They needed a better dictionary, but now it’s virtually impossible with crazy answers. How would you like the following impossible or virtually impossible answers: Almud, Paseo, Eskar, Yince, Jemmy, Miaul, Ziram, Allee, Enorm, Bonze, Volar, Horks, and Litai . Come on. Use a big dictionary but chose the top 50,000 words.

What’s Wrong With Wordus
I love word games so much and I was thrilled when I found this game!! I e been playing it daily on my phone and IPad! Suddenly I am told my Piggy Bank is full. I wasn’t sure what to do so I clicked on the piggy bank and it shows I need to pay $2.99 to empty the bank!! The piggy bank is full of all that I earned while playing and I have to pay to get what I earned??? Are you kidding me? That’s ridiculous!!!

…and as soon as I rose to the top of my ranking, they completely changed my status to unranked, removed all my progress. Also, once you get to a certain level every single word is some nonsense word you won’t find an any dictionary. Like “jarls”. Seriously?

Can’t enjoy game due to ads
The game itself works just fine and would be enjoyable, except for the intrusive video ads. There are multiple ads after every single level, most of them can’t be closed before running the whole way, and they can’t be muted. I’m willing to trade off seeing ads in order to play for free, but this is ridiculous. I’m debating deleting this app, which is a shame because the game is great.

From great to meh
I really liked this game when I first got it. Then they added hints - that’s lame! Then they added gems and trophies and pig banks. Now it just feels like “how can we make more money” every time I open it. But the worse it the daily challenge, which is SIX LETTERS! If you’ve been playing Wordle (which is probably the reason you got this game) then six letter words make no sense. Would have given it five stars when it came out but now I don’t want to play it anymore, so down to two.

Awful update
Was okay with most of the changes from the original (free) version until the recent updates. Latest additions are gimmicky (the “price” of hints/extensions is too high – don’t want to be bombarded with additional apps) and there is no longer easy access to useful statistics. I deleted from my phone. Much preferred the original (free) version, even though it was quite basic.

Bugged and so many ads
The game is alright. Obviously a cheap copy, but that’s what you’re here for. The free version it’s unplayable because of the number of ads.
Apparently there’s a different word list to pick the “answer” and to verify that the word you type is a real word. For instance the game will not accept the word “Kinda” because it says it is not a word, but “Kinda” can be the answer to the puzzle which makes it impossible to win.

Ruined
Remember when this game was fun? I know the devs need to make their money and all but dang the first version was the best. Literally nobody prefers gems, hints, leaderboards, ads- any of it. This game is almost unplayable now, and that's without bringing up how slow and clunky it is now that all the extra features are jamming it up. Y'all ruined this the same way Tetris got ruined. Shameful.

"Reward" gems
I enjoy this game, for the most part (less now with all the update changes). What I object to is the gems that are labeled as a reward with each level completed. Once you fill the piggy bank, you then have to purchase it in order to get these "reward" gems you supposedly earned. Um... if you have to purchase them, then they're not a "reward". That's foolish nonsense.
Minus one star for all the crappy updates over the past few weeks.

Okay so I searched up "Wordle" and got this, so I download it. Wasn't a mistake.
Its like Wordle but you can play multiple matches a day instead of one.
You can also share your scores to whoever.
And you can play it without spending a penny on gamepasses.
The words can be easy and tricky.
Its a bit addicting and I highly reccomend you trying it out.

Wordus review
Wordus unlike Worlde where you can do as many levels as you want whenever and wherever you want. Wordus makes you think try harder use you’re vocabulary and get you a bigger one because sometimes you can’t always win. The only problem I have with worlds is the amount of hints you get it requires 40 gems which is very hard to get. This game challenges some skills like perseverance, Intelligence, and you’re creativity. I highly recommend getting Wodus.

Racial slur
Have been having fun playing this game, it kills the time while I feed my newborn and keeps me from falling asleep in those overnight feedings. Used to be 5*, Latest update ruined it
It was a great app, especially when they added the ability to track your stats but now it’s been ruined. I wish I never updated it bc the screenshots shown are not what the new version looks like. Seems they were bought over and now the game is completely different and overrun with ads after every word. Will be deleting and switching to another app that resembles the older version. I can’t believe they would ruin their app with cheap money making tactics. Having to watch so many ads between each puzzle, not being able to see your stats easily, adding the nonsense of coins (and gems?)to try to get you to spend money, very disappointing. The puzzle isn’t even able to be enjoyed anymore.

Still has ads even when you pay to remove them
I downloaded this game when it was a simple no-frills wordle knockoff. It had simple graphics, ran fast, and most importantly had no ads. I regretted eventually updating the game and seeing ads, but I caved and decided to pay to have the ads removed. But now with the recent update it doesn’t appear to be no ads anymore, despite paying. There’s an annoying lightbulb button on the keyboard that tempts you to push it, and without any warning launches you into a long ad that you can’t close out of without going to a purchase screen. I’ve not figured out what it does exactly because I don’t want to watch this whole ad, but more importantly, why is this ad-button even there if I paid to remove ads? Now it’s even worse, there’s an additional lightbulb button in the top right corner, which presumably does something different, but what that difference is I couldn’t tell you, as it seems to also take you to another ad. Finally the game has become super cluttered with new features, like these “gems”, whatever those are. Every update makes the game worse. I’m going to delete this and find a simpler truly ad-free wordle knock off.

Keeps changing for the worse
I liked it when it started but something changes every time I log in. Now I can’t even see how I’m doing on completions by tries without digging for it. I used to be able to see how many I got right on the first, second, third, etc try that was one click away after each game and now there’s just some stupid point system and when you do find the stats buried in your account information it’s a bar chart but doesn’t show actual quantities. I don’t care about your stupid points or even other people, I wanted to know how I was doing on solving them by number of tries.

It was better before
This game was much better before. It was simplistic, fun, and a good way to kill time. Compared to the normal Wordle, it’s fun to be able to play more than one a day. That was until the update. The update is unplayable. You have to watch ads, the design is horrible, and they have HINTS? The whole point of the game is to be able to figure out the word by making words and using that to get the correct answers, not to use to cheat with hints. I don’t understand why apps have to go this far to make stupid updates like this, when the design was fine already. I already deleted the app, but others, be warned.

Beware of Ads!!
This game is great and can hold you over until the next Wordle comes out, but the ads are literally over three minutes long in between games. I decided to play for a few days before determining whether to upgrade to the no ads version for $3.99 or not. I liked it so I told myself I’d upgrade the next time it was pushed to me. Upgraded and guess what, there’s STILL ads and they’re STILL awful. Game is great but I’d pay more to not have to suffer through these terrible ads, so three stars bc their business strategy is torture.

They want you to pay…
I will watch an ad in order for the game I’m playing to be free. It’s standard and expected. But the cruel makers of this game want to make the process excruciating for free users. First, you have to watch one version of the ad until the tiniest arrow pops up for you to skip. If you don’t hit the one pixel that allows you to move on, you are sent to an App Store page. If you happen to hit that pixel, you are presented with a shorter ad for the same game and after five seconds the smallest “X” pops up. If you don’t hit that tiny button as well, you go back to an App Store page for the game. If you complete this stupid quest, you get to move on to the next level. If you enjoy wasting your time, this game is for you!

Awesome game
This is a great game! i totally recommend it! my friend had the game, and we would play it on the bus together on her phone and try to solve the puzzles! eventually i downloaded the game and it was super fun! i love playing by myself, or challenging my friend! Although there are a few minor details that should be worked out, i love the game! The details being that there should be different amount of letters in the puzzle and to many adds in my opinion! also the adds just keep repeating over and over again! i’ve only seen like 4 different adds on this game! But besides these small details the game is great for every age and is super fun! without those small details i would give the game snd easy five!

App doesn’t work anymore / APP FIXED NOW YAY
Update: a day after I posted the review below, my app worked again! And then today, ruby games studio reached out to me to try to fix it. No response needed as it is fixed now so I’m updating my review.
This app was awesome! I was addicted! But then they changed the graphics and added in ads. Ok. No problem. Everything has ads. But then a few days later it just stopped working for me. It goes to the loading screen and never loads. It’s just frozen. I tried to contact the site that runs this app but when you click the contact button it takes you to the wrong screen. Unfortunately, I’ll have to delete the app. It was fun while it lasted Wordus.

Was GREAT Before the Update
Before the update, the app flowed smoothly and quickly on my phone, had an extremely simple and easy-to-understand interface, worked offline and didn’t need internet or cellular data, and had no advertisements.
I understand adding advertisements because they need revenue from their app. That doesn’t bother me. What does, though, is that the app runs so slowly now. It takes forever to load, and intrusive ads pop up randomly instead of there being any warning. The app also doesn’t work anymore without internet, and instead of letting you play if you’re in an area with a bad connection (like I often am), it prompts you to spend $3.99 to get rid of their intrusive advertisements instead. Unfortunate because the game itself is fun, and some of the update’s design changes (like the color changes and the dark mode) are great.
The app is now clunky and runs poorly. It was a fantastic app before the changes, and one of my favorites! But they ruined a good thing.

What Happened?
I’ve been playing the game for a few weeks every day and loved it. Then one day I open to find it’s completely different. I’m not sure if the game was bought by a bigger company or what but the game’s unplayable now. There used to be no ads and I understand that as a developer you should make some money. But to have an ad after almost every single puzzle?! And as an originally free game, making ads so often while playing and then trying to force people into buying the no ads upgrade is the epitome of a bad move. The game would have been fine with ads spread out. You would have had millions of people playing and after this change I can’t see anywhere near that staying for long. The game will eventually fade away and it will come from this decision.

Good app. Constantly improving.
FEB 25th UPDATE - They released a new version with overly obtrusive hint nudges. Take them away please! They’re incredibly distracting. I almost always close the app when I see one.
They recently made a big update, which I appreciate, but I don’t find many of the features useful (not clear what the leaderboard is for as my score is stuck at 0 no matter what I do, the daily challenge isn’t the same for everyone so it’s kind of silly). The words are also occasionally proper nouns or British spellings - please get rid of this! I’d also recommend allowing me to see the puzzle after I’m done (a modal popup covers it) and adding the ability for me to share the puzzle results with a friend. It’d also be cool to see more stats like how many puzzles I’ve failed, more detailed about my average, etc.

Great game. Not a great app
I love this game but recently they change the format. It is only available as a vertical puzzle on my iPad. Definitely not user friendly. Disappointing. In order not to have a ton of ads you need to pay $3.99 which I did. However now when I play the game they have this lightbulb that pops up around the screen in case you want a hint. I made the mistake of choosing that once. Before you get the hint you have to watch a 30 second ad. I feel like I’ve been taken. Apple you can do better at screening your apps.
Just got the update. What a disappointment even after all the complaints. Changed the rating from two stars to one star.

Horrible adds
So I’m almost a teen and even I know when something’s is really inappropriate. I like the game but it updates so often that I don’t actually get to play it that often. I like the challenge but it kind of confusing since it doesn’t give you any instructions to begin with. Back to the add, it was extremely inappropriate because it had a really bad word in it.(if you want to know how bad the word is wait until the very end) so I get the add and I am thinking what kind of app lets kids see this!? It’s just irresponsible to let an add like that be for an app for teens. (The word was probably worse than 3 really bad words combined)

Another Update? You Keep Ruining It!
Paid to get rid of ads. That should have included the ability to turn that blinking annoying hint button OFF as well. And when you’re done with a round you get presented with a results screen and no way to go back and look at the word or what you did. You had a better game than Wordle and you ruined it. Look at all of these reviews, are you even listening? You have a huge audience and you’re going to lose all of them. Wordus is not the only Wordle alternative app out there. I’ve leeway downloaded a bunch that I’m trying out. You need to make some changes and make them fast, if you’re charging money and making ad revenue you need to listen to the customers that are paying you that money. Worst updates I have ever seen in all these years of iOS apps. Why on earth would you take the best app in the store and just ruin it?

Ads - the bane of every free app user
Wordus was a beautiful thing until one day I reached a predefined quota and saw the game become subsumed in an ocean of ads. Ads. Ads preceding and following each game in multiples of 1 and 2. Ads scrolling across half the screen while the session is in play. The experience was ruined.
So I upgraded to the Pro version for the satisfaction of buying back my concentration. At first the $3.99 investment was money well spent. No ads, no annoyances, no eye-bleeding distractions.
After a day or three, however, Wordus Pro was enhanced with a “hint” button that bounced from cell to cell appealing to the user’s sense of resignation (at first) then beseeching the user to take the hint just to make it go away.
Surprise, surprise. The hint button pages out of the game window into another (guess what), another ad. And perhaps the most infuriating aspect of this app is there’s no way to override hints option in the settings menu.
If not for game itself being quite enjoyable, I wouldn’t give the ap more than 1 star. If you love being besieged by ads and having your focus interrupted by a barrage of visual noise, this is the game for you. Enjoy.

Distractions :(
I loved the app before it updated. I have epilepsy and recently had a seizure. This game was so calming and nonstimulating (things popping up on the screen). I used it to calm down. The ads started at the bottom. I paid to have that taken away. It was too stimulating. I wanted just a plain screen where I could relax. Now there’s a hint button that keeps popping up in random parts of the screen. I wish I could turn it off. I’ll be looking for another app that hopefully is more relaxing and less stimulating. I know it seems little, but it’s big for me.
Also, I hate that now, you can’t see your words once you guess correctly. I always like showing my friends if we are playing together how I got to my word.

They are pulling a fast one! 😡
I love Wordle but it was one game a day so imagine my excitement when I found this app. It’s exactly like Wordle. For a few weeks I played for free and then they redesigned it with annoying ads all over the page and the only way to eliminate them was to pay $4.99. No problem. I loved the new interface, still the same great game. NOW, they’ve updated it again, but this time you get an annoying “hint” button that’s constantly blinking. So I tapped on it to see if there was a setting to take away the hint button because I don’t use it, and there it is….more ads. So I’ve stopped playing because I find that blinking button so annoying and I don’t want to play. New changes are not good
I like the game, but only because of how low-key it is. I don’t like the new leaderboards, which encourages me to think about how others are doing and comparing myself to them. I can ignore them tho, so it’s not too bad. What I REALLY don’t like is the new hints that pop up. They make me feel like I'm not being given a chance to think, that the app is telling me to either hurry up or take a hint. I don’t want hints, I want to work things out myself, but the hints pop up so intrusively they make me uncomfortable.
Please remove the hints or make them unobtrusive, so I can go back to a nice low-dress game.

Zero score
I’ve been playing this game for about a month now and with this new update, I was happy to see some other features added, like a leaderboard…until I see I have a zero for a score while others somehow, miraculously have over 30K for a score. I’m on level 440 with an average solve rate of 4/6 and 96.5% solve percentage. I roughly calculated what my score should be and came up with approximately 30K as well. I continue to play and was able to put together a score of 1008 today. Yet when I just got back in, it once again shows 0 for a score. Either there is something I’m missing somewhere or the scoring mechanism is flawed somehow.

Cut down the ads!
This would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the recent update that now inundates you with an obnoxious amount of ads. I’ve got dozens of apps with ads, but they at least let you get 3 or 4 rounds of a short game in before the ads pop up. These are in between EVERY SINGLE GAME! On top of which, if your phone is on silent the ads still come blaring out at top volume. Totally takes the enjoyment out of using this. It’s a shame because it can be a fun, addicting app without being bombarded, and now I don’t want to play until you tone it down (volume and quantity)

used to be a great way to kill down time…
i like this game (basically Wordle that you can play constantly) and enjoy the challenge. it was fun and my go-to whenever i had a little time to pass. the newest updates/additions have made this game unplayable to me and i will be uninstalling the app after this review. recently they added ads to the game. i understand the need to generate revenue so the ads themselves don’t bother me. the fact that i need to watch part of the ad before i can skip the ad (pretty standard) then watch a shorter part of the same ad after i already pressed skip only to have to press skip AGAIN (seriously annoying) and then to make the user watch ANOTHER short segment of the same ad to be able to finally close the ad is too much, especially since the user has to endure this between each and every puzzle they want to play. my gf and i like to compare scores and compete (even though some words are more difficult than others and we’re never guessing at the same word) but the newest update created a pop-up screen at the completion of a puzzle that cannot be closed so you cannot go back and review or take a screen shot of the puzzle you just finished. i hope they fix some of these issues for future players. sadly, my gf & i will not be around to find out

Horrible Update
After the newest update the app has been straight garbage. Not only is the whole app ruined but it ruined the wordle experience. Let me break it down: when you first open the app you are met by these new levels and challenges, then after you click to play the "level" you are on there's an ad. Once you are in the game there are ads on the bottom. There is also this new mechanic where you can pick the amount of letters are in the word for you to guess (1st guess is 5 letters after that you can pick a 3, 4, 5, 6 letter word to guess LIKE WHAT). After you complete the level you are met by another ad. Completely ruined the app.

Worse Update Ever
Prior to the most recent update I would’ve given them a 5 start rating.
The NEW UODATE RUINED EVERYTHING.
1. The ads make the game unbearable.
They show up so quickly after you submit, that you can’t even look at the last word you guessed. You can’t share that awesome first or second word guess with your friends.
2. The new keyboard format is much less clean than the recent one, adding wiggling icons and hint button (if you watch another ad of course) further complicate a design that was Not broken in the first place.
This all used to be a simple word game app for you to play and get your kind off of things. Now it’s just like every other app in the App Store. An ad revenue magnet that could care less about your overall experience as king as you are forced to watch and ad.
Do not download unless you want to spend more time being told about other games than actually guessing words. I think i would genuinely get more enjoyment out of just flipping through the dictionary.

The update is bad. I see a lot of people are upset about the ads, but I’m not upset about that (just turn on airplane mode, guys). What I’m annoyed by is that every time I submit a guess, I have to choose the character length of my next guess. What’s the point in this? It’s just in the way and it doesn’t provide any value to the game. It’s like the devs are just adding features for the sake of it, without thinking about whether or not it’s necessary or useful. Why would I want to guess a 3 letter word when the answer is always 5 letters? Just stop guys, you’re ruining your own app. I’m literally just going to find something else, because lord knows there’s plenty of other wordle knockoffs out there.

Tried no ads version for 3.99 …
I LOVED the old version of Wordus, that changed abruptly a couple nights ago, lost all my stats!!
I decided to pay the 3.99 for no ads version. It’s quiet and no ads but the board looks different.
The weird thing IS, after I purchased it, it shows no Wordus app on my Home Screen, so I have to go to the App Store, click on Wordus - and so far it comes up with my last play! But this seems weird, I shouldn’t have to go back every time and I HOPE I don’t loose my stats again!

New update - too many ads
Idk about other people, but I loved the simplicity of the game. You guessed the word then went into the next way. There wasn’t any goals or extra challenges or anything. Just a fun simple word game. But the new update now has ads between every word which is insane. It doesn’t take that long to guess a word so having an ad every minute or so is so excessive. And not just any ads, but the ones that you have to X out of like three times and it takes you to the App Store if you’re a millimeter off from the x. It’s awful. This was a calm game for me to play when I have a few minutes, but now I spend half the game time watching ads and I do not feel calm. They just sold out because wordle got popular.

Update 1.5.4 is Gross
I was obsessed with this app, but it just updated to version 1.5.4 and the app no longer maintains its same entertainment value. I had played 185 times on the previous version (like I said, I was obsessed and really enjoyed this game). However, after the new update, I no longer had any desire to play this app at all. The interface is ugly and different, there are ads that run and make the app go slower, and the leaderboard was an unnecessary feature. I was fine only seeing my own stats; I don’t need to know how I rank against other players. The previous update had been perfect but it seems like they regressed and are now running an outdated version of the app (when this is actually the newest update). The previous version had been way cleaner and had a more modern look, now it looks old and is not as user friendly. I would love to re-download in the future if the developers make the smart decision do get rid of this awful update.

So many advertisements
I’ve been playing and enjoying this game for about a month. Then yesterday there was an update, so many advertisements, and now the game has been ruined for me. There are now so many advertisements, much smaller playing screen, so many advertisements, fonts changed, and so many advertisements. Sure I could pay to get rid of them, but it had been free, the cost seemed high and feels like extortion, we’ll hook you in make your enjoy the game, and then they say ”you want to enjoy the game again, pay us money or we’ll ruin it by loud obnoxious advertisements that take longer than actual game play”. Did I mention there are now so many advertisements!!!!!!

Loved this one and used it during my small screen/big screen time but ad wall phase just began so guessing it’s time to delete. I hate it because now I have to find another app or go back to sudoku and I’ve playing that for so long man. How much of my life am I supposed to spend staring at a 9x9 grid of boxes made up of smaller 3x3 grids while I randomly guess between 1 and 9 until my phone stops shimmying? I needed something new and exciting and I really thought you nailed it with this great new 5x6 grid guessing game. Did I mention each individual box can change colors at will? There have been a handful of times though when it stopped me before I got to fill all of them in though so I think the game might have been hacked so you should probably change your password or update your McAfee to be safe Tl;dr App good. Total sell out “update” this week
I found this when I first heard about Wordle (like many others) and I loved its simplicity, lack of obnoxious ads, and how you could guess however many words you’d like in a day (vs Wordle’s one-a-day model). They’ve had a recent update to make it a leveled game (…why?? No one asked for that) with a leaderboard (-_-) and now it has ads galore with a feature to pay to remove the ads. It just feels like a complete sell out with no regard for the users who came to it for how different it was to other games out there right now (simple concept/gameplay with no extra frills). Sorry I just can’t get behind this downgrade of an “update.”

Went from GREAT to JUNKY
This was a great, simple free to play Wordle alternative that allowed unlimited play and practice without ads. It had great word lists, instant loading and smooth gameplay. Since the update it will no longer load, the interface looks clunky and gameplay when you can get it to load is so slow. After the initial first week, you are served game crashing ads after every puzzle and a really great game that I might have paid a few bucks for is now so bloated that I can’t even click the button to purchase the ad free version. I will try one more time but then I am moving on and looking for other ways to sharpen my skills so that I can master the real WORDLE.

Was fine before the update
This used to be a good Wordle clone that you could play as much as you wanted. I never had any issues. But since the recent update, I can't even get the app to open. It just sits on the loading screen and doesn't load. Reading through the other recent reviews and seeing that they've introduced ads that play after every round, obviously this has become just another "advertising app with an occasional game." Yes, game devs should make money from their work, but too many mobile games are 50% ads. I would've been happy to pay $0.99 or whatever for this app the way it was before. But as it is now, I'm deleting it. There's a bunch of these style games on the app store; I'll just try a different one.

Newest Update
The most important complaint would be about the ads. There are so many. It’s just annoying because they’re literally everywhere. I understand having to make money but the ads are so long, you have to pay $4 to get rid of them and again, they’re everywhere.
Second, and this is just a personal preference, the new interface is cheap and cheesy, if that’s the right way to word it. I don’t need a leaderboard or a way to save my progress. The new colors are visually unappealing and plain gross. The new logo is a graphic design failure and the new update’s appearance is just plain trash.
I miss the simple, play the game, and that’s it version we had before. Anyway, I deleted it.

Wordus is a good challenge.
I really enjoy the challenge. I haven’t tried any of the other similar word games. I like that it keeps up with your stats. There have been a handful of times that the answer was a word that I was not familiar with. I also like that they have added the dictionary for the correct answer words. I am not a big fan of the latest color changes. I prefer green for the correct letter in the correct spot instead of the blue. The ability to choose your own colors would be a nice option. Another suggestion would be to allow you to select the position to place a letter instead of always having to start with the first letter each time. Keep up the good work!
Updated review. The insufferable ads that have appeared with the latest update have ruined the game for me. I will not pay a ransom for ad-free. It was great while it lasted. So long!

What happened???
I found this game bc I had heard about worlds like everyone else but I don’t like the one puzzle a day garbage. I was loving this app soooooo much. I have already done 70 puzzles within a week and they have been challenging and I truly figured this is a way to keep my brain active. I was recommending this app to everyone!
Then this morning I go on and bam - the whole page looks different and now there are ads!!! I guess I knew it couldn’t last to be a free form of fun and engagement. I get it. People have to make money. And I apologize for being greedy 🙂
I’ll probably pay to have no ads bc I do love the game. I’m just disappointed that the change seemed to come out of no where. Maybe it happens at game 70? Or maybe when everyone realizes this is a great game.
Thank you though for the unlimited games. And after reading other reviews I do notice that you take the suggestions seriously. I noticed so many things mentioned already implemented. That is a sign of good developers.

Ruined with update
Used to be good. Clean and simple interface. Just a simple clean look. No frills. After the update now it’s crap. Added ads and changed the look. Very disappointing.
Obviously their plan all along. This was just a bait and switch. Put out a clean and simple app with no ads, let it build up a bunch of positive reviews and then switch it for this new crap so that people see all the great reviews and think this app is better than it is.
I am willing to bet that they always had 2 versions of this app from the start. This version has just been sitting there waiting until all the good reviews built up and then boom. Bait and switch. Well the joke is on them. The change is far too vast of a difference. It completely changes the experience and the 1 star reviews are flooding in. It won’t take long for that overall review to start dropping. Should have made the changes subtle.

Feb 18 update ruined it completely
This was a great game. Simple, no ads, no fluff, no annoying animation. Just open it, play some levels, nice to look at, pretty teal and orange colors, it was great. Then they updated it today, February 18, 2022. It is completely ruined. It’s the exact opposite of how great it used to be. It now takes forever just to open and load, whereas before it was instant. There are annoying animations, and of course ads flashing all over the place, at the bottom of the screen and between games, ones you can’t close out of, etc. It’s horrible. My phone was literally hot after playing one game, just due to the sheer amount of flashing ads all over the place. $4 to remove ads? Not a chance. There’s also now some stupid leaderboard and “levels” and junk. And of course they want you to connect to social media and all that garbage. They completely killed the simple, pleasant, low maintenance, nice looking interface. I had to uninstall it. I’m so disappointed.

The newest update made the game better and worse at the same time
The reason why i am saying this is because the new update made the fame look alot more softer and cool; on the other hand, it made the game filled with ads no matter what you do. For example, after I found the word, i got 4 ads straight. Yes i know that the developers want to gain money out of it, but, you shouldve just done the hint ads or something or even make more modes that you can unlock after a certain amount of correct answers; you couldve made it that a person could pay like $4.99 to unlock everything.
Over all the game was great, but now, it is just filled with ads.

Ruined now — WAS fun, until this week’s “update”
And now this game seems to be “sell-out” to some company that revamped it with stupid sounds, bright coloring, unneeded “enhancements,” and adverts… It used to fun to play several times per day. Take a look at the reviews for this game and notice that of the many people reviewed this game prior to this update many were very happy— and were happy because of how it WAS (and for what it was)—- BUT after the update not so much. I will refer back to the original game of WORDLE and play once a day where they don’t have any of that junk. If I can find a way back to the original edition, I’ll keep it, but otherwise I am deleting this junk today!

Great game, but not fond of update
This has been my go-to for mobile, unlimited Wordle. My only issue was the obscurity of some words available. However, with the most recent update, there are ads and a less minimalistic layout, along with better words. I would be fine with the on screen ads if the long, forced ads no longer existed. I would also like it if only hints caused an ad. This would make the game more enjoyable and more like the original.
If these long, repeated ads continue, I may just use ad-free browser alternatives (like hellowordl)

Not really it
When I first downloaded this app, it was really simple with no ads or leaderboard. It just told you what your word guess average was and how many times you have played. But now with this updated version, woah. It’s now like those games that get a ton of ads every round and have you pay to get them off. Unlimited Wordle with NO ADS!!!
Figured I’d try Wordle since several of my friends seem to like it. I enjoyed the first game but wanted to play more puzzles and didn’t realize there was only one per day on the website. Here you get unlimited puzzles and there aren’t any annoying ads like most of my other puzzle apps. Definitely recommend! Only improvement would be making it compatible with device dark mode settings.

Close second to Wordle
I happened to find this app when I was looking for Wordle. Although this doesn’t have the hype that Wordle does, it is a great close second. The object of the two games are the same—identify the word in only six tries. Tile colors are also the same: grey means the letter is not in the word, yellow means the letter is in the word but not in that location, and green means the letter is in the word and in that location. Plus side: You can play multiple times in any given day whereas Wordle offers only one word per day. Down side: If you aren’t able to identify the word in Wordle, you can Google it to get the answer, whereas in this app, if you can’t identify the word, there is no way to find out what it was—or at least no way that I’ve found. All-in-all, I believe it is a great brain app.

Great but needs fixes
Overall I really like this game. It’s challenging and a great way to keep your mind active. Spent hours in a row playing it without getting bored. Since this is a new game there are definitely things to be improved. There are no real instructions but it wasn’t hard to figure out. Level numbers would be a nice addition so you could keep track of how many levels you’ve done or compare with others (I play with my family a lot). Also if I leave the app and come back, the word I’m working on sometimes disappears and I can’t finish that word, which is frustrating.

Wordle - Brilliant!!
Finally a word game without annoying ads, no bells, no whistles, no gimmicks, no unnecessary bubble gum fluorescent graphics, and no hints or other advantages available for a fee. Cheat apps would serve no purpose as the game is only currently offered in solitaire format. Maybe it’s best that way if that’s what it takes to be free of corruption.
Enjoy unlimited free play with what appears to be the official Scrabble players word list. The game didn’t balk when I tried starting with ASKOI. I figured that was obscure enough to test it. DEBIT was revealed to be the winning play.
Whatever word game challenges you enjoy this game is sure to compliment them.

This is a great app that does not harass you with pop ups and if you have heard of WORDLE online ( there is no app for the online game) this is the same exact game and awesome fun and practice and a great mind exercise. HOW TO PLAY- pick any random five letter word and HIT ENTER… THE GAME WILL TELL you if any of the letters in your word match the secret word to win- now- IF ITS GREEN- you found the right spot for that letter- but it will not show you if for instance there are 2 “E’s” to complete the word so you would have to add another “E” in another spot- IF ITS YELLOW- you have a letter from the word but it needs to be in a different spot- if it’s dark gray that letter is not in the secret word BEST PART is the keyboard imitates what you have entered and it won’t let you use a wrong already used letter. Your first word should have no double letters- you want to eliminate as many different letters to get you to the word faster- HAVE FUN!!! Good luck!

Not for me, but great if you want a challenge and something close to the original
Firstly, there are no instructions. This is intended to be like the game Wordle. yellorange= the letter is in the word, but in the wrong spot; green= the letter is in the word, and in the right spot; dark gray=the letter isn’t in the word. It’s pretty much the same, except that you can only guess a word a day in the original and this allows you to play (I suspect)infinite games. This is also a little more challenging. It still uses common enough words, but I don’t find it quite as intuitive or as easy as Wordle. In the games I’ve played, it’s used words with somewhat odd letter arrangements, though still common words. I’m honestly just looking for something relaxing and easy like the original game, maybe somewhat mindless lol. For those who like the original and want just a little more challenge, this is good. It’s challenging, but doesn’t use obscure words or words unfamiliar to a US English speaker or anything like that.
