There should be no reason that the default, THe DEFAULT starting setting is strobe. It’s not even a slow one. It’s fast and it’s abrasive and stupid fast and it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen!

Troubles

I really liked the app until I used the Christmas preset. I changed it back to regular lighting a couple weeks ago. However, the lights default back to the Christmas preset every day. It’s too cold in Ohio to go out and remove all 12 bulbs. Until then, I have to go into the app every evening and change to 30k white.

Junk App!

Spend 10 hours to configure your automations only to have the app forget most of them randomly three weeks later! Duplicate/Save-As automations? NOPE! That’s not an option! Click on an option and have your screen white flash in your face multiple times!

Every couple months it’s like starting over fresh with this app! Prepare to lose hours and hours of set ups and configurations!

Change your Wi-Fi password? Good luck! That will totally blow your setups before you have to go around your house to reconnect every single. FYI the app is designed to expose your Wi-Fi password defaulting to display it on the screen and saving it internally and God knows how insecure this app is!

I have about 5 other smart apps an when you go to use some of them through google or Alexa it says off line but an hour later it works AiDot has never gave me issues I have 8 smart plugs connected and a new package of 4 that I haven’t had a chance to connect yet but worth the money 100 %

Didn’t transfer my lights to my new phone

I recently upgraded my phone, but the lights that I have installed

didn’t transfer over. To do so I think means I have to put them all

in pairing mode again, which I can’t do because I have three bulbs that I can’t reach,

and when I try to pair them it also tries to pair with another one from a different manufacturer that I can’t reach. I just wanted to check the firmware, since they keep turning off by themselves, in spite of my Alexa routine.

Lighting and fun

I bought the permanent lights and I joined the app to control them. I absolutely love the lights and my neighbors do too! Easy to install and the app is even more fun to use. 10/10 recommend this brand and lighting for your home it’s an upgrade and creates a level of security with the lighting that is top notch.

Minor Feedback

This app works like a charm with my lights, I’ve never had any issues. Easy 5 stars!

My only note for the developers: I’d like a way to favorite and/or rearrange the light presets. I find that I only use a couple of presets and it would be nice to not have to search for them every time. If there’s already a way to do this in the app it isn’t clear to me.

so i've had these lights for a couple years now, they worked great at first. but then my lights just flat out stopped connecting. it was stuck on one color for a year, and now it just wont connect at all. my router isn't the issue and my wifi is connected to the device. very frustrating, i wish i could like these.

My only review ever.

I got these solar spotlights that work thru the app, this app was not only a game changer w control of your lighting, but the user interface was ridiculously easy to navigate and understand.

I do not remember ever writing a review in the past decade or so, but I had to for this one. Whoever designed the UI is great at what they do.

The lights were one thing, but I noticed myself boasting on its user friendly app, since this is a big deal to me when teaching elders on how to use it.

and no I’m not the app designer, just a Florida man. 🤣🫡

Pretty Okay, Great Support

I’m a bit of a smart home fanatic, and AiDot has a lot of potential. That said, it’s missing some quality of life features like easier firmware updates and better Home app integration.

At first, I had trouble updating the firmware on several of my bulbs. The newest firmware adds Adaptive Lighting support in Home, which is fantastic, but I could only update a few of my devices. After reaching out to support, they explained that updates were being released in batches. This left some of my lights mismatched, but the support team was able to push the updates remotely and fix the issue quickly.

I was skeptical at first, but the responsiveness and professionalism of AiDot’s support team completely changed my opinion. Their customer service alone makes me confident in buying more AiDot devices in the future.

Used to be good; now terrible

I used to love these bulbs. Now they never work or turn on with Alexa. App says they’re not connected every time. Never had this problem the entire time I’ve owned them until the last month. Now it’s constant. Says I need to move the WiFi device closer to the bulbs which simply isn’t possible. Plus then it will be farther away from other bulbs. Regardless, we never had this before.

Keeps saying my device is offline

Every time I try to change my light bulb routine, it keeps saying my device is offline although it is online. I probably have to update my app, but every time I try to click the update, it loads super slow. I let it download the new update for 15 minutes and it was still stuck at 0%.

I have tried your suggestions, but when I tried to reconnect it, it claims that the network doesn’t work on certain devices for some reason. My app nickname is 777Eggs

Please include an option to get rid of that new pink component of recommended scenes from other users every time I go to the color adjusting screen. Never heard of this app, but I’m glad I eventually did

I’ve never really heard of this app, company, or AI i’ve really only ever heard of Google, or Alexa, or ring, but I’m glad I eventually got around to them. I have google home, Amazon, Alexa, and ring which all work just fine if you have their brain of device but not too long ago I bought some smart lightbulbs and had the worst time trying to connect all of them to one app. I could only get one or two at a time to connect to. One app or another. So I started looking online and found AiDot. It immediately connected to all four bulbs as well as my google home thermostat, Amazon Alexa, and ring cameras. They all connected with no problem, I could barely get any of my lightbulbs to connect

(Their Orein brand, and MATTER Enabled devices) but it took me all of five minutes to set all four bulbs up connect my Alexa, Google home, and ring cameras 10/10 if anybody asks about Google home, Alexa, or ring i’ll tell him to buy anything else that works with AiDot and they can thank me with the money they save on buying those

The constant popup is lowering my rating.

“Turn on bluetooth to allow aidot to connect to accessories” popup makes me want to get a different bulb brand. No. Im not turning bluetooth on just for this app when it works perfectly fine without it. Having bluetooth on disrupts other connections because then they want to connect to the phone. The popup comes up at the time when I would need it the absolute LEAST. When I’m changing an established connected bulbs settings I have zero need for bluetooth because it’s an already-connected ***WIFI*** BULB. It’s beyond useless at the time it pops up because the entirety of what I’m doing is a wifi only task. Maybe if I was adding another device the “you need bluetooth for the setup process” would make sense but this constant nagging is just stupid. Its annoying. Its almost suspicious, but more likely careless. It’s brought me from a 5 star review to a 3 star. No more stars or reviews. Next I just buy a bulb that isnt annoying me with a popup every single time I want to change the hue.

Remotes shouldn’t push for new devices

The app overall works alright but I don’t understand why a shop page is necessary. The shop page within the app feels invasive. Having an app try to sell more of a product you likely already had before downloading it is not a very user friendly design. I understand that it may be to help the company spread word of their products that may be compatible with the app as well as allowing growth in profits but at a certain point the user experience begins to decline rapidly. Alongside the unnecessary inclusion of the shop they use similar coupons to other companies that make you feel as though you’re winning something when in reality it is just an average discount that you need to meet specific requirements for. The whole idea of a shop added into an app to control your lights feels outrageous as the primary reason to download the app is because the products are already owned.

Lights Up My Life

A refreshingly easy to use app. Does it exactly what it sets out to do… manages all light bulbs (that’s what I currently use it for), easy to add new devices, intuitive organizational system to separate devices by room (OCD satisfying), and the bulbs respond immediately to what you tell them to do. Minor criticism is that bulbs can be slightly out of sync with each other if you’re trying to activate programs or light shows, but it’s not a huge deal. My kids still LOVE it.

Overall… this app is a WIN.

HomeKit and Shortcuts Integration?

Not trying to do anything that complicated – I just want to create a scene that toggles my lamp. Not turn it only “off”, not turn it only “on, but switch it off if it’s on/on if it’s off. This seems like a really simple functionality that should be available in these apps.

My end goal is creating an Apple Shortcut that toggles my lamp. Obviously it’d be nice if toggle functionality was included in AIDot’s Apple Shortcut integration, or if AIDot was still able to integrate with HomeKit (what happened there??) since HomeKit had that functionality. But I’m willing to settle for it just working in the scene creation so that maybe I could just run the scene with my shortcut. It’s just wild that there seems to be no way to do this very simple task!

AMAZING!!!

Aidot is a great app. You can control your lights and other things very easily and fast. There are widgets for your devices too that you can turn on/off in a hurry. The customer service is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! There is a section in the app where you can share your lights and ask questions. I’ve asked a few questions and I always get a reply within the next day if not less. Then they also host events that are very fun. The events also give away prizes like coupons and free products. Also there is a weekly raffle for a free product and a coupon. They also have a store in the app where you can buy products and there are frequently flash sales that save you hundreds! Overall I LOVE THIS APP!!! Everyone with a smart device should download it. Sorry the review is so long but there are so many great things about the app! 😁😁😁

Light Bulbs - color changing

Love these bulbs so easy to use. Just put them up. Download the app. Sync lightbulbs. .. then away you go. Choose your operating times, brightness, variable modes e.g party mode, Halloween. Colors are fabulous, really elevates each area.

I have 4 installed, front room, hallway, living room and kitchen hall.

O my use bulbs inside home.

I also sync with my Alexa.. changing over to Apple HomePod soon due to spyware on Alexa’s!

Works as you would hope

We got several lamps to replace incandescent bulbs in our family room. It worked out great and changed the feeling of the room being able to control with our Alexa app. We most recently added a smart bulb to a lamp and the ability to change brightness is great. The app has enabled all this and it’s easy to use and connect to Alexa.

HomeKit Integration Is a Joke

When it comes to integrating with Apple HomeKit, this app and the smart bulbs are useless. When creating shortcuts for the scenes and or routines created with the AiDot app, Siri doesn’t know what is going on. The only integration aspect is that the smart lights can be added to the Home app. You can’t fully utilize AiDots app features with Apple HomeKit. Don’t market a product when a user cannot fully utilize ALL the features. These smart lights have been a waste of my money and I will be searching for something better that doesn’t utilize the AiDot app. This app doesn’t even deserve 1 start.

Solar Landscaping Lights

I ordered 2 packages of 6pk solar landscaping lights from Aidot. I had an issue with the order but Aidot customer service quickly resolved the issue and I’m extremely happy with the results and quality of the products. The items in question far exceed my expectations. The solar lights power on at sunset and continue throughout the night until sunrise with the same intensity and brightness!

Amazing technology!

Over the course of the last 16 months, I have purchased smart light bulbs and an air purifier from this company. Not only are their products extraordinary, the app makes using them effortless. I am easily able to open the app, from anywhere, and turn on the lights in my entrance foyer as I pull upon nights I have to work late. And just as easily as I turned on my lights, I can do the same with the air purifier all from the same app!

I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the products I’ve purchased from AiDot and how easy the app is to use and navigate . 10/10!!

This app so far has been really great for me. Though I have my air purifier connected to Apple Home, I find myself frequently visiting the app as it gives me controls not available in Home. Connecting matter based devices is a breeze since it accurately detects the devices in discovery mode and connects quickly. Looking forward to using it with more devices.

Excellent App for lights!

I can easily use the app to turn on and off my lamp that’s in my office. I use it for the color changes during the day since I work from home and then for meetings turn it to bright white. The lights are attracting and the ease of the app allows for the user to customize their own color preferences and color rotations. The best thing about this app is it never crashes on me and always works.

I purchased some smart home lightbulbs a while back. I had been unhappy with another product, so I saw that the reviews were good for linking bulbs so I purchased them. The lightbulb required me to use the Ai dot app. I had been using other apps before, but this one was particularly easy to use, and my lightbulb was connected with lightning speed. Very happy with this product.

This app works really well with the double pack of light bulbs that I bought! There are so many options for the colors that you can choose from, and the lighting sets the mood for everything that I host.

Additionally you can connect both light bulbs to be the same color, or have them be different for a cooler effect.

I have purchased smart bulbs before and either they were difficult to get synced up or they continually need to be reset. The bulbs I purchased THAT I USE THROUGH AIDOT APP WORK AWESOME!! It took me 2 minutes to get 4 set up on this app and connected to my Alexa! I am going to try cameras next, I have no doubt that it will be simple, the app will walk me right through it!

Great Integration

Leak Detectors

I purchased Winees leak detectors this summer for my home to have peace of mind. I am easily able to monitor the status of each alarm sensor by using the AiDot APP. The APP works great, and gives me all of the informs to. I really like how the AiDot APP gives me all of the info about each sensor in real time. If you are looking at purchasing a leak detector, I would highly recommend purchasing these leak detectors for the ease of use, quality and the convenience of having the AiDot APP to monitor them.

Absolutely Amazing!

I replaced all the light bulbs in my new home with this product. A year later and everything is still working perfectly. I was able to also pair this app with Alexa which made it even more convenient. Now controlling my home with a push of a button never felt better. I encourage everyone to try these lights you won’t regret it.

Easy and convenient!

I use this app with Link Matter Smart Bulbs.

The app does suggest several presets including nightlight, movie, and calm settings, but also basically allows you free range to change the color, brightness, and schedule for each light bulb. There are options to make the lights shift and change to music, but FYI this bulb does NOT change colors to the rhythms/vibrations of the music itself like a traditional LED bulb. But you can create custom music settings with the colors, timing, and brightness of your choice. I love that the app allows me to set timers for the lights to come on and off— great for signaling the ADHD brain to “wake up” or “get ready for bed”

Overall, I am happy with the purchase and would buy more of their products

This app works really well in my opinion and I love that all the products work together within the app and also most can work with Apple home. I give it 5 stars. I have been using it for a few mo the now with now issues as of yet. I also like the feature where it tells the about of electricity that your/the products are using.

AiDot is the leader of the pack!

A couple of things about this app that make it, in my opinion, superior to other apps controlling my other smart home products:

1. They are graciously low key about promotions and advertising. That alone gets them my business.

2. Updating to a new WiFi setup was a breeze. Other manufacturers required I remove their product from the home app and reset their device before going through the set up and automations programming process all over again. AiDot just pings the device, identified a WiFi issue, and takes you through the steps to update it. Why aren’t all apps this easy?

Coincidence

As a disabled individual I rely on these lights several times a day. I am grateful for the intuitive app and its ease of use across all the devices my family uses. From myself in a wheelchair to my 9 year old, we all enjoy the ease of use of the lights, even across 3rd party devices.

I even suggested an improvement to the app to integrate a dark mode, so it is more comfortable to use at night and lo and behold a month or two later the app is near perfect.

The dimmable range of the lights could be better but that’s being pretty picky, and it may just be a hardware issue which is understandable for how cost effective these bulbs are. I am very pleased with this product!

can no longer control all lights at once

new update made UI improvements, but removed functionality. specifically the ability to control a group of lights. now all lights must be individually controlled. this was a fundamental feature and now it’s gone. makes no sense. please fix.

UPDATE: this functionality is indeed still there, but it’s been tucked away in a screen that is not intuitive to locate. this is a very basic thing that should be brought back to the individual room screen light control. hiding it was a mistake!

App is bloated, over complicated and often buggy

I like the bulbs but this app makes me think about changing to another app and other manufacturers bulbs in the future. Like right now, they updated the app and now I lost all control over the bulbs - can’t change, can’t turn off (they were on before the the phone downloaded the latest app), can’t do nothin’. And this is NOT the first time. I’m definitely going to look for an app that’s not from this manufacturer to have control over these bulbs. Because this app, with a bunch of near-identical settings, disorganization, and product placement bloatware, is amateur hour.

Great iPhone and iPad app, not so much on Watch

I really enjoy the iPhone and iPad apps, they’re really interactive and I love how easily I can schedule and control my air purifiers.

That said the Apple Watch app is pretty disappointing. I’m not sure what it really even does but it lacks support for my air purifiers unfortunately. It would be super nice to be able to quickly adjust the settings or airflow on my air purifiers without picking up my iPhone. Looking forward to better Apple Watch support in the future!

Awesome buy

I got the 4-pack of lightbulbs and I only wish I’d gotten them sooner. It feels safer to come home to a house with lights on already and I like knowing my pets have light when they need it. Being able to schedule them is also nice for winding down and waking up. It helps with setting a tone for your day. I don’t recommend using them in lamps that have a dimmer function.

Best of the best!

AiDot has been the best App and some of the best products I’ve ever used. I had some issues starting out getting my Apple TV hub paired up with home kit, but I believe that to be some communication issue between the two interfaces, but after another attempt everything connected perfectly. The app is super simple and user friendly. I love all the different colors and look forward to future products and future updates. Top notch products that won’t disappoint.

Perfect for lighting

I love using this app on my iPad to automate my home lighting (orein bulbs), it helps me with focus, relaxation, bedtime, and wake up settings. My sleep cycle has improved significantly since setting up the app. Each room and/or bulb can be separately controlled. The best part is that no smart hub is necessary for using these products together. I have not tried to use other features of the app but my understanding is that it can be used to control additional smart products over a wireless network. My only issue is that I sometimes get logged out and there is no option for storing the username/password.

Very robust app for smart devices

This app is really robust for smart home devices. I only use it for the lighting, but I love the preset light settings! I think my favorite is the bonfire, it makes your lights flicker a little like their little miniature fires! I like the fact that you can make automations to make your life a little easier too! Something else that’s kind of cool is you can sync your lights to music! Pretty cool if you are having a party and want to keep it lively! The app will listen to the music through the phone and make the lights dance!

The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t select all lights at once. You can select all lights in a specific room, but once you break down into different rooms you can’t select both sets from the main page.

Simple and fun!

I love the app and products, the app is simple to use, I never had to pause and search for what I needed, everything was continently located on the app to operate whatever product you need. One worry o had when using these products was reliability, the app and products always connect right away, there’s no worry that I’m going to be left stranded with products not working.

App and products work well

I have several scenes setup along with Siri Shortcuts, so I can control lights and different ambiances with Siri. It was a bit of a hassle at first, because these do not integrate with HomeKit, so I could not use standard language like “turn off bedroom light”, but I made it work with commands like “Bedroom Bedtime”. Overall, works well. There was one day where the app went down entirely, there was no in-app messaging about the outage, so it appeared the app stopped working due to a recent update. It was a bit frustrating because we had no way turn our lights on or off without unplugging and plugging the lamps back in. However, the app started working again the next day. The developer was very responsive, apologized and shows a strong interest to continue improving. Overall, I would recommend this app and their smart light bulbs.

Constant network issues

Pretty hard to like an app, where the session expires constantly, can’t log back in because of network issues and are not able to control the devices with any sort of ease. It’s been non stop issues since I installed this.

Edit: The issues that I wrote about, did get resolved after the first 48 hours. The app seems to be working as it should. The developers did reach out to explain they did experience some technical issues and had hoped they had gotten those resolved. Will bump to 3 stars for now, as initial experience was still dreadful.

App is crashing

All was great until today. I got home and every single AiDot product I have is offline. The app won’t let me login and says I have no network connection. I logged in online and sent a password reset thinking maybe that was the issue. But when I clicked the link in the email to reset my password it only told me password requirements and gave no option to enter information or go to the next screen. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone and nothing works. All of my other lights and plugs work fine, just nothing that connects using AiDot. I haven’t gotten any feedback from AiDot to inform me of any issues that they are working through.

Fix the app

So I’ve been using the app for a year and haven’t had issues until recently. Lately the app has been really slow connecting to our device we’ve purchased, the app frequently logs me out, it takes forever to load the device in my phone. The app has bugs and will shut off completely, it freezes the whole app completely,. The severe go down and won’t let me log in and I tired almost over 10 times. FIX THE APP.

Awful

I’ve had these bulbs and app for almost 6 months and the app has always given me issues. It will randomly stop working, the presets don’t work, and sometimes the app just freezes and I have to manually turn my lights on and off. Resetting your password also isn’t easy since their site seems to be incredibly slow or it simply doesn’t work at all. I cannot count the number of times that I’ve had to restart this process only to get nowhere.

I have turned my phone on and off, offloaded the app, deleted it, download it again…it’s frustrating that I’m spending so much time trying to get it to work when the reason why I got it in the first place was to make things easier for myself.

Not sure yet if contacting support is helpful at all, but I hope to get a response from them soon.

App won’t work

I like the idea of having a smart light, But it would be even better if the app would work. It says that I am having bad internet connection when the internet is connected and is working fine. It also says that I have not registered my account when I have and I literally logged into it, But then the next time I logged into it said that I had not registered my account and all of my info is correct. So I like the idea of a smart light but I would not recommend this to anybody!!!! Save your money 😡

Best App For My Lights

This is a great app for when I started using Wi-Fi smart LEDs for the first time! I already love it and once the new LEDs arrived, I scheduled when the lights would turn on and the app is so easy to navigate and make presets and all sorts! I highly recommend this for your home. I am now going to convince my friends and family to use the Wi-Fi Smart LEDs with the AiDot app and tell them how it saves both time and energy.

I LOVE how interactive they have made this app!!!

The AIDot app is an AMAZING smart home app in my opinion. Definitely in my top 3 list!! ESPECIALLY because of all of the new and amazing new features and additives they have been adding to the app such as: Product testing, rewards points, the AIDot community and various different groups. I truly cannot wait to see what other new features they decide to add to their app to make it even better than it already is now. Cheap Chinese junk if using with Edison smart bulbs

Purchased smart light bulbs and this is the app that came with it. I’ve had a lot of experience with smart bulbs and apps so I am not new to the game. However this app will not load no matter what I do. I called their supposed 24/7 HOTLINE and got a nastyMessage reprimanding me to call them during business hours. I have no clue what their business hours are but I was calling during regular business hours Eastern standard time. My electrician will be here to install the porch light any minute and I can’t use these Edison smart bulbs that I purchased because their app is a piece of junk. And I physically can’t get up there after he installs the light to replace bulbs, so I’m stuck having to use different bulbs than the ones I purchased for this purpose. Definitely not happy. I will have to pay to have somebody come back and take the canopy down and install a different new smart bulb that I will be purchasing. Returning these. BUY AMERICAN!!!

App works perfectly and is easy to use

I’m writing this as more or less an update to my previous review. Before, I was experiencing problems with the Apple Watch app and now it seems to be working perfectly. I only use the app for being able to remotely turn my lights on an off and I can say that it does the job quite well. The process of adding the bulbs was flawless and the UI for what I use it for is intutative.

Needs improvement but convenient to do chores.

Do you need a camera that can has the capabilities to be used while on the go? Well, this camera doesn’t disappoint. It connects to your home Wi-Fi, but can be access while your in the store or at the gym. It’s very convenient since you don’t have to be at home to be able to use it. You can go throw in some clothes or do some chores and still be supervising. The only thing that I don’t like is that it’s not able to rotate in any direction or else I would give it 5 stars. Also, the charger stopped working and I thought the camera had given out but when I replaced the box and cord it started working like new again. The camera quality could improve as well as the mic when when you speak out of it. Not bad but needs improvement. Also, sometimes I have to tap connect twice since the first time doesn’t work. This should be fixed in the new update.

Frequent disconnects

The old app didn’t seem to have an issue, but since updating, the lights disconnect after a power outage or and internet outage. I live in an area with frequent flickers and outages, so maybe others wont have an issue, but every time the power flickers I have to reset the bulbs. I spoke with customer service and they confirmed that after an outage, the bulbs all have to be reinstall and will not reconnect automatically. The app is fine when it works, but I have over 20 bulbs and it’s not worth it to reset them every time there is a flicker.

No other brand of my smart devices seems to have this issue, but I bought more of these since they used to work well.

Much worse than the old app

After having these lights for several months with no issues, I’ve had nothing but trouble after being forced to migrate over to this app. Half the time it has no idea what lights I’m talking about and when it does recognize them, the controls only work for some of them, or work asynchronously. Also, huge delays now between commands and response that were never a problem on my WiFi before. I’ve never written an app review, but this one is so bad, and also unavailable if you have their products.
