I added up the amount of real money I spent in this game and realized it was more than I have probably ever spent on any game.

I’m still not sure what ur supposed to do with the village or whatever you call it.

It’s a pretty neat game, the only thing I can not get with is how long it takes for everything. There should be something to make the time for things to be faster. Also more points should be given from the boxes to level up or the requirements on them should come down. That would make the game alot better being able to see progress faster

I did love this game, even paid for the vip to get rid of the ads and had bought some packages to get started and make things move along a little quicker. Then they came out with the latest update and it totally changed the game for the worse. No longer can you get gems from maxing out your managers, you get these other coins that are already plentiful in the game. They claim it was to make the game fair for everyone and that people were exploiting the game. In no way was what they explained hurting anyone except the developers, and it was a system that they built. Really it was that they weren’t making enough money so they had to make it so that any real progress in this game requires you to buy gems.
I really like this game and I wish they would find a better way to deal with things and not just drop this bomb on everyone. I was just getting to the point that I could start to get some gems from grinding in this game and collecting manager cards. Now I am stuck. They call this an idle game, but it requires you to be active a lot to get anywhere in this game. You cannot collect certain resources unless you’re actively playing it for hours at a time. I hope the developers hear the outcry from all of their customers and come to some sort of better solution. They punished a lot of their customers for the “exploit” that was part of the dynamics of the game. They also said it is because they are coming out with updates and they want things to be fair when those updates come out but they have no timeframe for when this new update is coming. Maybe if the new things in the game were totally developed and they removed this “exploit” and replaced it with something of value I wouldn’t be so upset. I am going to give them a few weeks to see if they can fix this big middle finger to their customers, otherwise I am done with these guys and will never play or pay for anything they develop.

They changed the one way you can earn the diamonds…. So you have to spend a lot of money now to play this game. It was a good game with fair earning and they took the earning away. Why play unless you just want to spend lots of money. It really was a fun game, it makes me very sad. I spoke to customer service they said they would pass on my opinion to developers. The developers need to know that giving biz coins for maxed out managers is redundant! I now have 400k biz coins. Stupid move! Ruined the game!

Ain’t NO reason to have $19.99 for NO ADS. That’s literally a scam for a mobile game. This is just as bad as the fact that you advertise it as some game where you simply drive around and collect logs, when in reality the game is all about auto setups and getting automatic labor done. Literally nothing like the advertisement whatsoever. Some people JUST want no ads for $1- why would I wanna pay $19.99 for all these features I never asked for. I don’t want VIP, we just don’t want ads. Good riddance.

But with this new update, they took the ability away to upgrade workshop and super managers without spending real money to buy gems or work 3 times as hard on weekly events. It’s a cash grab game now and is now removed from my phone until the developers decide to bring back the ability to earn gems more easily.

Game started fine and was perfect for what I was looking for. Paid money where it counted. Spent more time than I will admit with game open on the side day and night. But if you’re like me and have to try to see things to the end, forget it. They at least used to have a long and tedious way to get diamonds to level up staff. With new update, plan to pay hundreds of dollars to feel accomplished. Without paying possibly even thousands of dollars it would take 5 years or more of devoting weekends to weekend events to get the diamonds needed to max out staff. Previous update they raised the price to reach the final level so high it takes months maxed out to get to…or a lot of spending.
Disappointing that greed ruined a fun game.

The rewards are lame and the time it takes to make progress are insane. Even with VIP membership you will still have to be online playing to gain. It doesn’t operate for you while offline even for the few hours it states it does. It’s not the same income by any means. The cost of gems is way off balance for no more than they actually do for you in the game.

Latest update killed it for anyone who didn’t mind grinding

 –
Crazy Mainah

Version 1.4.0
BLUF: Okayish mobile “management” game whose beauty was the simplicity. The new update complicated the mechanics and removed a nice little “thank you” reward for anyone who paid the premium and anyone who was crazy enough to grind to the later parts of the game. It wasn’t much, but now it’s gone and has been replaced with more of the currency that is useless to anyone in the later parts of the game. If you want a mindless game to tap away at and don’t mind watching the same ads over and over and over, give it a shot. Otherwise, don’t waste your time or money. I promise you’ll thank me.
I started playing about a month ago. The game is great if you want a mindless tap-management style game. Like a lot of “free” games, you can get extras and skip timers by watching ads, or if you want to lay a one-time price you can get the perks and remove the ads. I did that, and, honestly, it was one of the few games I actually thought it was worth it. After paying to remove the ads, I’d probably rate it 3.5 stars. Nothing groundbreaking, just a simple game with a simple premise and fun cartoonish characters. What I appreciated the most was it’s simplicity. The best part was when you leveled your “managers” to the max, you got gems if yo got their cards in the rewards boxes. This gave people to options: 1)Slowly grind your way through the game, or 2)Pay a premium to get through the content more quickly, but you sorta got a small “refund” if you stuck with it long enough. Because believe me, they weren’t giving gems away by the cartload. Either way, it felt like a simple little “Thank you for being loyal” gesture from the devs.
The new update took that away, and now you get more Bizcoins if you get more manager cards for someone you’ve already maxed. To be clear, you only se Bizcoins to level up your managers. Once they’re maxed, your have absolutely no use for them. So, getting more of them is pointless. Yes “theoretically” there’s a small chance that when you have one or two maxed managers that a few extra coins may be helpful if you’ve done absolutely no resource management. But, if you’re at a point where you’re maxing out managers, you’re probably not hurting for Bizcoins. So, essentially with this update they’ve said, “We lied to all of you. Those of you who’ve paid the premium: you’ve had it too good for too long; time to pony up again suckers. Those of you who saw a small loyalty-reward light at the end of the tunnel: you mistook that for the endgame pay-to-play train.
To be transparent, I had no problem paying the premium to remove the ads, and regularly spent another $5 or so each weekends for the events they had. It was fun. Probably done at this point though. Good luck to you all.

Seeing there was a new update was exciting when I'm so close to the endgame and seeing a new sawmill and a new system added was nice to see. But now with chests when you have all of your production managers maxed out? Completely pointless to even continue playing. You used to get diamonds in exchange for duplicate cards, now you get bizpoints where you already have so many they're completely worthless. Sure you can use them for evolving workshop homes but still. When you have millions of them and just getting more and more instead of diamonds that is already a grind to even hoard them to get the better managers you need? There's no point in waiting to get flash sales when you'll just get more worthless currency. The game had issues and this is the breaking point making the game completely not enjoyable to play. Save your time. Don't bother downloading it unless you want to break the bank to make any progress because the only real way to get diamonds at this point is to outright buy them.

Version 1.4.0
Why are excess regular manager cards giving BIZ POINTS instead of diamonds, This game is tedious enough, requiring an absurd amount of screen time and battery power, for this to be changed! 🤯😡
This game being made by Idle Tycoon is a joke, it takes more attention for what it is, a now unbearable, mindless grind.
For me this began. IMMEDIATELY after the end of the event weekend of 3/19/22-3/21, this began. I did, however notice an update that’s states was made 4 days ago. Since I only played the event this weekend, I’m sure this occurred then. I’ve been playing for a few months now and have accumulated 600k+ biz points with seemingly NOTHING to spend them on. If the manager cards are no longer going to give two diamonds with managers maxed out at level 10, the drudge of the grind to 10k factory points, of which I have up to 3.3k, is no longer remotely worthwhile. In one update, you ruined the game by getting greedy. It’s not like I didn’t make any purchases. I bought every permanent boost and each event I’d typically buy at least one boost. Shame on you developers/corporate overlords.

Another typical greed move

Version 1.3.10
The latest update is a typical money grab from greedy developers. I paid for no ads as well as double income but will not be spending another cent on this game. Before the latest update I was really enjoying the game. Then they removed receiving gems for maxed managers and instead give worthless biz points. What good are biz points if the majority of managers are maxed? Progress is only really made with gems to purchase workshop and epic manager cards. If I could get a refund of the money I’ve spent, I’d request it. When are these companies going to be held accountable for screwing over their own community for their own games? I’d love to see more people boycotting developers for making these types of choices. They have no problem biting the hand that feeds them so why support them? Lets quit feeding them. Mobile games are a dime a dozen, it’s not worth supporting greed and corruption. This is the first review that I have written so clearly I have had enough of these companies. I guess this is the straw that broke the camels back. Don’t waste your time or money on this game and please don’t support this developer until they show they care about their player community. Also, please don’t fall for the excuse they will give for making this change. It’s for one reason only, making more money on gem sales.

Updated (March 2022) to a pure money grab

Version 1.3.4
It was a fun game that made you think and plan ahead. I could even tolerate the constant ads (except for the fraudulent weight loss pill company). Then the update (March 2022). You no longer get diamonds in chests when you’ve maxed out the managers’ levels. Instead you get Biz coins, which you can only use to increase some managers’ levels. Completely useless otherwise. I now have 181,000+ Biz coins and nothing to spend them on. Additionally, the advancement cost to the top sawmill is completely unattainable. Highest sawmill costs 10,000 build coins (which took me a month to accrue), and 500ai in cash points (after a month at maximum output, I have 2.8ah in cash points). So I guess the developers, in their pursuit of a cash grab, have left their players behind and don’t care about enticing continued play at the top levels. Short-sighted thinking. That’s it for me. Off to another game.

So they are making this, I assume, last updated mill nearly impossible to achieve. All of my workers are maxed levels. The only ones that are not were the office workers. When you got a chest, they gave you diamonds instead of the cards since you were maxed out. Today, they changed it and only give you biz points. I have 127,000+ biz points. I don’t need anymore. I need Diamonds. So it takes me a little over 3 days of solid playing to get to 1 ai. 1 so you do the math and tell me how long it will take me to finish this level. Well over a year. My machines are nearly all maxed and won’t produce the money to make it. Do you developers really think people are going to play this one level for over a year to get past it? I’ve spent money on this game but you’re full of it if you think I’m going to spend tons of money on diamonds or time trying to get to this next level. No incentive whatsoever of opening chests now. NONE. I don’t need more biz points. No incentive whatsoever to play this game. I am officially done.

Recent update made game bad/gems impossible to get

This is a fun game BUT the recent update is the reason I delete this game. When you get your managers to level 10, they are maxed out and can no longer level up. Before the update, when you have a level 10 manager and open a chest with cards for your level 10 manager, you would receive gems. Gems help buy other chests for the sales and workshop managers that you can’t get in free or premium chests when completing orders. With the new update, you no longer get gems and instead it’s coins which you already receive in a lot of the chests you open. So now the only way to get gems are the free 5 gems every 24 hours or you have to buy them. It will now take 1 month to buy a workshop chest and 2 months to buy a biz chest. Don’t download this game unless you plan spending a lot of money on gems. I think it’s funny how the developers didn’t mention that change in the recent update description. It was fun while it lasted but this update made this game no fun :(

I hate ads, that’s why I generally buy VIP in games like this as I like to actually play the game even if it is an “idle game”. But this game is flawed.
Either you are watching ad after ad after ad or you get VIP and tap the same button every 30 seconds to do any progression.
There is hardly any idling to this game, you have to baby sit a button constantly. Then once you want to ‘prestige’ you need to camp the button even more for the resources needed.
Managers. I have no issue with Gacha games which is something that excited me about this game with the manager system but the system is super flawed. You are only able to get the higher tier managers during events or with gems and even then they don’t let you keep your managers form your main game, you have to get them AGAIN. Like why? Balance your game so you only have to get them once and that is then a benefit. Also have a chance to get them from the free chest, don’t force people to have to pay.
I uninstalled this game even after getting VIP. It went from an ad watching simulator to a mindless tap of a single button, that’s not fun.

Game makes you spend all your money in popup tutorials then makes you start from scratch

This game is so incredibly frustrating. I was enjoying this game quite a bit. That is, until I was able to build myself a nice little process and save up a lot of money. Then, a popup tutorial came and forced me to spend all of my money, millions of in-game dollars. I was infuriated. I hate saving up al of that money just to have my hand forced into doing something I don’t want to do. I already had the hang of the game. I didn’t need another stupid tutorial.
But that wasn’t even the worst part. After I acquiesced and made the forced purchase, it reset all my previous systems back to zero. Removed all my hires, removed the upgrades I had made on my equipment, everything. I completely undermined all my hard work and time. All the time I wasted watching ads and tweaking things to be just the way I wanted. I could bot believe that was the outcome.
What an immensely idiotic way to design a game. I’m so glad I did not rate this game with in the period of time I was actually enjoying it. Which was very brief. Serious question developers: what makes you think people want to play a game where they have to spend significant time to develop things the way they want only to then have their choice completely removed then all their hard work undone? Unbelievable.

Some suggestions!!

The game is addicting, and very fun to play, just wondering if some stuff could be added or changed, the missions first, I have two out of three missions for future factories, and I’m. It Ben close to unlocking either yet, it would be nice if we could cycle the missions to get diamonds a bit easier. Events, can you make a longer event in the future, maybe one that lasts like 5 days? And the log house, can you add something bigger than the log house, that takes longer to build and get better rewards. If some of these could be fixed, great, if not, that’s okay too. I’m gonna continue to keep playing.. thanks for an awesome game

I like this because it’s more engaging than adventure capitalist, yet still a game to play when you need to relax or take you mind off things. You can purchase higher revenue sawmills, which start you back at square one. It is similar to adventure capitalist in that regard. Definitely worth it to get the vip as well. 20 dollars means no ads. The perks are almost too good, however I like a game that won’t consistently bug you for money. This is your game. Only thing I dislike is the red notification dot on the store. Won’t go away. Definitely worth your time 😊

This game is a fantastic little idle game, and the updates they just pushed out for VIP members (thanks for it being a flat one time thing instead of being some subscription that makes no sense also) makes it worthwhile for the VIP purchase.
It’s an idle game, it’s going to get redundant. But the upgrades in your Sawmill make it worth it.
My only thing is that the Events are lacking only because there’s only two alternate sawmills. Other idle games have at least four different event areas. And while Medieval and Western are fun, maybe we can see some other events in the future?
Maybe a futuristic space one, a ninja one, a pirate one, a spooky/horror theme, or even a post apocalyptic theme? Possibilities are endless, and the way that the developers have put effort into designing different machines and dressing the little avatars per the theme have been amazing.
Other than that, solid idle game. It still holds my attention.

I tried playing this game in free and the ads weren’t tolerable. I have no trouble spending a little money on something I find entertaining, so tried the VIP membership. It’s pretty good in this mode with no ads and 2x income multiplier.
My play style is a few hours a day while doing something else like playing the game while on the subway or watching TV.
I will say that it still has a lot of hurry up and wait situations where you’ll be waiting on timers to run out, or you can spend gems. (Waiting for new jobs, etc.)
The mini events are fun, but I’ll say that if your goal is to get a legendary card, the events length usually aren’t long enough unless you either 1. Spend a ton of real money on card packs or 2. Spend the entire length of the event with the game open and actively playing. As a casual player (maybe 1-2 hours per day), there’s no way to get all of the awards on the 2 day events without spending real money on upgrades and card packs. I even tried increasing my play time for one event just to see if it were possible to complete it, it’s just unattainable unless I spent all weekend playing or spent real money.
As a note to the developers, a nice way to set the mini event length might be to adjust the length of the event to each user based on their average play time/session time. It’s frustrating to never achieve the top goal of the event and discourages users from participating when all of their effort only achieves 40% of the goal.

Every time you get a crate it is most likely gonna be a Darius or Tyler. I’m not sure if you have a higher chance to get them since they’re early and maybe considered common cards but it’s just too much. Especially during events, I learned to not rush through it and at first and slowly get the managers to get them running efficiently. I only have the 1 debarker and 2 cantings and want to get the truck, storage, and forklift managers out of the way but instead I have none of those and lvl 4&5 Darius and Tyler’s. Literally out of the countless crates they have ONLY been those 2. Yes it says I can get those cards but I have only gotten those 2 and I don’t find that fair. The chances for each card should be divided equally and with those two cards that level it shows that they aren’t and I don’t think it’s fair that I have to spend money on a free game to fairly play. If you want more people to stick around either take out rng and have them as wild cards you earn through the game (hopefully not through ads) or just make the rng make sense (like equally divided odds, different types of crates for that row of machines for better chances to get what you need, or the wildcard thing). Seriously about to stop playing

If you want free then you’re gonna have to watch adds. Lots of them too. If you pay some $ then the adds go away. When they say no adds it really is no adds. You can click on stuff that normally would show an add but you get it right away. Pretty awesome if you ask me. Cloud save is the problem here. It says that my game wouldn’t be the same so I’m avoiding it at the moment. I really hope a fix is on the way. Again - no adds is really no adds. If you get a deal on VIP take it. Soooooo worth it especially when the rich guy just hands you a big chunk of change.

The game is fun at the beginning and you can easily sink too much of you day on it. After you’ve unlocked all the machines, maxed out the operators, and can easily max out each machines level, the game gets stale. The amount of credits and money you need to go to the next level will take forever but you’re not unlocking anything new with the next level, just starting over again essentially. The weekend events are great for people who still need to collect regular worker cards (business and factory workers will either take a lot of time or $$ to max out).
Recommend if you need something to kill time but expect it to get dull. Hoping they add more things in a future update to give this some life for me again.

I purchased the VIP to get rid of the ads for power ups. After purchase, the ads do go away. But there is a timer in its place now that is actually longer than just watching the ads. I have screenshots of each timer. Prior to purchase, ads were 15-30 seconds, with an option to double rewards of you watched the ad. After purchase, there’s no option to double anymore and a 60 second timer is put in its place. So you still end up waiting, actually longer with the purchase. For the workshop, it is a 3 minute timer to skip ahead. Again, watching ads for 15-30 seconds, or purchase the vip package and wait even longer. What a scam!! Do not play this game. Once you get the last saw opened, there’s nothing to do but acquire coins for managers which takes forever anyways.

I’ll get the gist out of the way: if you’re unwilling to keep spending real world money, this “game” grinds to a hault incredibly quickly.
On top of that, buying the ad-free version only pumps the breaks harder. You could watch ad after ad to speed things along at the cost of 30 seconds of your life. After ad free, the shortcuts are available every *60* seconds. Items needed to advance to the next stage suddenly become extremely difficult to come by, seeming more like bonuses than earned resources. Seems like I advanced levels every few hours at the beginning—now I’ve been stuck on the latest level for several days with several more to go. And the manager characters needed to automate or speed up production? Get the thought of getting many of them out of your head right now.

I love this game. Lots of fun and well-designed.

I played for a few days with ads to try it out, and I enjoyed it so much, I bought the VIP to remove the ads. It’s such a fun game without the ads, and with so many other perks, like instant refreshing of jobs, speed boosts, etc.
It’s much more fun and relaxing to play with the VIP package. I believe it’s important to support developers and this model of ads (which are annoying but can be turned off by purchasing, making ad-based features instant) is a nice. The game is so fun now.
I usually don’t like these idle games, but this one is interesting and fun to play, and is quite well designed.
My only minor complaint is the money doesn’t seem to add up very quickly whilst not playing. I’d expect more money to accumulate in my down time, so that I’d come back to more profit from the larger jobs I’d left running, but the jobs seem to pause so they’re still running when I return, with no profit yet. That’s a minor niggle; I’m quite enjoying the game. I love the art style, too.

Ok I really really really like the game….it’s not super hard it’s mind numbing fun….but the “idle” part is a lot off. The only way to make strides in the game is to PLAY IT FOR HOURS. Now I’m my own boss so it works for the most part but it’s annoying! Secondly and more importantly the algorithm you guys use to distribute the manager card is seriously off and it makes you not wanna play the game! I participated in two events to make sure it wasn’t a fluke…I went through a whole event and never got enough cards to unlock “reoccurring orders” from the storage manager. But I got over 200 of the same two cards…the first debarker manager and the first canting manager. And it’s for this that I’m having to drop this game. I get you want people to spend money but dang at least give people a fair chance at advancing so that they would want to keep playing.

The game is great and has foundation to people play for a long amount of time.
3 stars due to not allowing players to enter events with the staff members/cards they already possess. I played the last event for the first time from start to finish and didn’t make it half way through because I didn’t spend USD to buy supervisors and crates. I focused on the accomplishments and still came up short due to not having certain staff members. Not allowing purchases to carry over to the main factory (and vice versa) is completely bogus. I’d figure with a 5 star game, the developers are making more than enough to continue servicing the app and allow main factory staff to carry over into events.

I downloaded this game a few days ago and I was really enjoying the game I leveled all my work stations up and was getting lots of money. However when I tried to get into the game the next day in the loading screen it said *looks like your not connected to the internet* but I know for a fact I was connected to the internet so I got out of the game restarted my phone made sure I was on Wi-Fi and still the same massage popped up. I then deleted the game and reinstalled it got into the game and thought I fixed whatever the problem was I played it for about an hour got off the game and a little while later I wanted to play again and the same thing happened *looks like your not connected to the internet* so I repeated what I did when this happened the first time and still the same issue. So love the game when it’s working but this is really frustrating that it does this every time I want to play it again.

Overall, I have played this game a lot over the last month and have come to realize it is absolutely pointless after the first few easy levels. If you pay attention to the game you will get easily frustrated with the games manipulation. If you wanna get into an idle game, get “Idle Miner” unless you really enjoy wasting your time, then have at this one.
I have played many “idle” games like this and this is by far the worst. After the first few easy levels, there is nothing to unlock. You can’t get any super managers unless you play the weekend events which are rigged pretty bad to make you spend insane amounts of time just to get a lame manager who increases tree growth (most pointless power as it does not effect your mine as a whole).
The game has “limits” on what your individual workers can do, but the game is rigged to actually ignore that and increase the time it takes to complete an order. It’s very unfair and frustrating. Not only that, but the game will notify you when you can buy something or watch an ad, but it won’t tell you when you can skip 5 minutes on your construction.
Beware, please do not say I did not warn you. And DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING. YOU CAN EASILY GET FAR WITHOUT IT.

It’s a solid game but having to wait 30 minutes to watch a 30 second ad to get manager cards that has a low chance of dropping the manager card you need is annoying. Not to mention that the only time you really make profit is by staring at the game 2 hours straight instead of going idle. To make matters worst the only way to get Sales managers AND Workshop managers is through gems. 300 for Sales and 150 for Workshop. But you earn 10-15 gems for completing task. This game essentially want you to drop 20 dollars in order to make some actual progress but in reality it’s probably not worth it seeing how I was able to get to the second to the computerized sawmill with more level 3 managers than anything else. Manager levels in my opinion should be capped at level 4 and to buy workshop and sales manager should be decreased dramatically seeing how hard it to get manager cards for your actual sawmill forcing you to waste gems on the cards if you want to make some kind of process. The last problem I have is the orders you have to stay on for 2 minutes of the game to get an order drops 9 biz points, 4 tool kits, or 4 paint buckets, it’s extremely inefficient. We do have a manager that completes idle orders that give you more money tho, but if you want to make actual progress you have to be active on the game and deal with ads and terrible RNG and you will be punished if you rush your saw mills cuz then you have more manager cards you have to try and unlock.

I LOVE idle games. From Weed Inc to AdCap etc. I’m a BEAST at these games too. I watch thousands of ads and put in MONTHS of work on each game I love.
I had seen so many ads for this game that I put it on my list.
At first it was pretty cool.
Then I realized it’s not actually an idle game as it has a built in timer to shut off. That’s not how idle games work and defeats the purpose.
Then; I realized what it ACTUALLY takes to upgrade.. the money you make is worthless as you can’t buy anything with it that you actually need.
The money making is what tricks you into staying in the game so long. It’s actually all about the manager cards and other things you can get from fulfilling orders.
Once you reach the wall; boyyyyyy it takes forever to break through. Seems like orders stop unless your in the app as well.
So you literally have to leave it open and do mundane boring crap over and over again.
And you don’t get to click.
Sure; you feel good and in control at first, but then it’s just a boring chore.
This game is a good idea if the Devs stepped it up and reworked it a bit.
Butttt all in all it’s literally just an ad trap. Smh
Good concept; terrible play out: 3/5

Been playing for a few weeks now and I notice that the end game falls off drastically after the 2nd week.
1) the crates are unbalanced. I have enough cards to level almost all my managers twice over, but I’m short the over FIVE THOUSAND biz points to make it happen (it may be a lot more than that, but none of my managers are that high yet).
2) Warehouse crates are only available via diamond purchases, so you’ll never get caught up on those without spending tons of RL cash.
3) There’s no way to allow your managers to hold aside a specific spot for certain lumber types. I’m at the point where I have 2 sanders and I’m constantly running out of room for rough boards, which are invariably needed to continue with production.
4) warehouse orders are only processed FIFO, so you can’t complete 1 order until you complete the others. Game would go a lot more smoothly with another warehouse expansion to include up to 3 order bays where orders could be filled concurrently.
5) that damned warehouse forklift stalls my orders all the time, either because he’s idle due to the earlier mention of warehouse crates, or the earlier mention of lumber prioritization.
Mostly, it’s a fun game, even if it drains the iPad battery faster than any other app I know.

The game is pretty good and fun but the “idle tycoon” part is pretty misleading. To truly progress in this game you need to complete orders. You build wood and sell them through these orders to get money and materials. If you aren’t completing orders, all of your tools get backed up and eventually stop because there is a storage capacity (which is fine). But this is where the problem comes in. The orders are manual so you have to accept them. They don’t take long to complete and take about two minutes to refresh. They don’t refresh if you are idle, which is issue. The two minutes only refresh when you are playing the game which is garbage. My battery gets drained and this game now becomes a non idle game and I am now forced to sit here watching nothingness just to make sure I can progress. Now you can unlock managers to help run orders that earn the money in the game, which almost makes it idle. But the orders needed to progress earn materials. Money only helps to a certain point and then you need materials to unlock challenges that help you love forward. Now I have only been playing for about 5 days but this is kind of upsetting when I leave the game for a few hours, to come back and see that I still have 110 seconds left on the two minute timer. It’s honestly a turn off and doesn’t live to the true name of idle tycoon.

Update: I’ve changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars. I withheld the 5th star solely because of the bug and how long it took to resolve. But I must say, the in-app chat with support is great, and the team was extremely helpful. Although the issue took several hours to resolve, they were very kind and customer oriented throughout. I am extremely satisfied with this support experience.
Overall a solid game. I’ve really enjoyed since I found it about a week ago. I chose to pay for ad-free gameplay to avoid issues mentioned in other reviews, and everything in the main game has been great so far. However, I have to give it a low rating for a very important reason. The most recent weekend event ended a while ago. And I had reached the highest rewards tier. The issue is I never received any of the rewards. There was no error message, and the event link just disappeared from the main game, no rewards in sight. I spent several hours each day of the event playing to collect all rewards, so now I feel like my time has been completely wasted, and I’m not sure if it’s even worth playing future events at all…

This game is boring and could be so much more. It’s to straight forward, and it doesn’t last that long. I understand that it is geared more towards younger audiences but it could be so much more. I like that it’s simulated based on reality but it doesn’t contained all the factors of reality. It should contain more negative factors but doesn’t. They have a few, such as keeping employees awake and working and making sure you have enough supply to meet the demand.
But they could include more negative factors to add a little bit of difficulty to the objective. The game designers could add the factor of machines breaking down or equipment breaking down and maybe making sure to maintain the equipment. Another thing the designers could add is the fact that employees get sick and have to be absent from work, or they take time off from work for various reasons. Another thing is natural disasters happen, should as storms or a fire breaks out in areas of an operations. One other factor could be to include rainfall into the factor which could slow or speed up the process of tree growth.
This would add some difficulty to factor into the gameplay as one try’s to become successful at progressing farther. Like I said, the game is geared more towards 8-12 year olds mostly but I think this could broaden their fan base to include more age groups and still be clean gameplay and fun to play.

Same model as other idle clickers that goes beyond with features like the very small but open world to roam. The ability to sort of first person to see everything up close is amazing!!
ads are frequent, as with other similar game formats but I was ok with a lot of them because they enabled me to advanced the game at a reasonable pace.
At issue for me as a three month old customer however is that after the very first plant upgrade, the component requires to build the next level of product in the games (houses) changed from minutes to days. That happened not because it takes days to get through but because the ingredients like paint and nails took minutes to acquire each and many of them were needed to complete the project. I cannot level the plant to level 3 unless I make at least 3 or 5 houses. But, with each house taking maybe a collective 20-30 minutes to make I move on to other games while I’m waiting and happily watch their ads because I can progress the game in a timely manner.
Feeling this way at level two has convinced me that every subsequent level will involve progressively and noticeably longer and longer wait times. I just don’t want to fall in love with a game now only to be even more frustrated later.
Sorry guys, you really need to look much more closely at time/ad balancing in this game to bring me back.

I recently started playing and progressing through the levels. I started building a new project in the workshop when I realized I didn’t have enough storage to finish it. I wasn’t able to cancel the workshop project and could only upgrade my storage by slowly earning diamonds or making a purchase. Without the rewards from the workshop I wasn’t able to continue leveling up and my whole game was at a standstill. This update fixed that!!! Not only do I now have enough storage to finish my project thanks to the update, I now have the choice to cancel projects should I get myself into this situation again. Thank you again for the update! I have been playing a short time and was very invested before my game came to a standstill. Now I am able to continue playing and leveling up!

So, I’ve been playing this game quite a while (5+ months) and even recently deleted and redownloaded so I could restart the game. I quite enjoy the game, but have one major problem with it: there’s no option to buy ad free. I’ve probably spent $100+ over time, and while I understand you want to make that money, I’m way less inclined now to spend money as I can’t pay to opt out of ads to get rewards. I do think the free rewards tokens are a great step in the right direction, but being able to make a single purchase to get rid of all ads and collect rewards is so valuable for keeping people engaged. Keep up the good work, and please consider a no ads option❤️

This is a great fun game to log on to, but I feel once you unlock the workshop the game becomes way less fun.
I don’t like how the order system works, how after you complete an order you have to wait 2 minutes (or less if you have the right manager cards) for a new order to show up. I don’t mind waiting the 2 minutes but I don’t like how you have to have the game open in order for the timer to count down.
And I feel like the requirements for some of the workshop orders are too high, I spend more time waiting for regular orders to give me materials needed when I could be doing order for more biz points.. it’s starting to get more tedious than fun. Will there be a rework to the order system at any point? Thanks for reading developers!

You know this game has potential but it is just an ad viewing game. It says ages 4 plus but but it is all about getting you to watch ads. Once you get so far 1 hour or so in it makes restart and dot is all over again. No way to buy the full version with out going through the ads over and over what 4 year old is going to sign up for cripto currency. Also at 3 different times in the first hour it would freeze and ask that you are 16+. Unless you just want to sit there and watch 30 to 45 second ads every 3 mins don’t download. Yes you can buy a version with no ads it is only good for 30 mins. Then when you buy other items in the game you are forced to restart and loose Everything. This game developer just just me taking in the ad Revenue since some of the ads not only make you watch they also have no way to close the ad at the end with out clicking the Get Now type link to open what Ever it is in to the App Store. Only good about the game is it does not force you to download that app from the ad just go to it in the store then close out and you can then close the ad to go make to the game.
What a scam!!!!!!!!

Game is Fun, But There’s Some Bugs

This game is fun, I’ll admit but there appear to be some issues. I noticed that if you level up a machine it will lower the cash per minute rate, which I think it should increase the amount per minute. It also appears, that when you watch the videos to have 2x money, it starts going and then bam, you 1 hour long 2x money boost is done in 10 minutes, HOW? And Why is not an actual hour. It also occurred to me that you shouldn’t buy a lot of lumberjacks, cause you’ll end up with too much wood and be backed up, cause your machines are too slow, and you can’t upgrade them unless your managers are a certain level. I think if you have the money you should be able to upgrade your machines, and have the managers just increase speed and money produced. It makes the game slower and unless you want to wait, you have to pour money into gems to then open boxes to “hopefully” have a chance to get the cards you need to upgrade your manager for the specific machine you want to upgrade. This leads me into my last annoyance, the amount of different managers you have to per area. Why isn’t one manager who manages all the specific machine in an area enough?

I’ve been playing this game for three days now very addictive but you can’t Advance your production if you don’t sell your product you can’t sell your product unless if you watch ads want to skip the ads pay real money need your production to go faster you need real money to get managers for your production line just to find out your managers had to be levelled up to even get the job done I have money but I’m not going to spend it on this game even though i’m a paid to play gamer to get not that far into this game just to have something else hold up the production so how the game goes as you fill up your production line things look great in till you can’t sell you lumber without getting ripped off or you have to watch an ad want you getting done selling your lumber to feel eight order things are backing up you have to wait two minutes before you can purchase another order to get ripped off again unless if you watch an ad to skip that two minutes then your production line is for if you don’t do it because your stockpile is for your lines are for so you don’t make any money until you Watch a ad I can go on forever that’s why I’m deleting this game and don’t recommend it

So when you go off line—- the game stops. It doesn’t progress without you. Clocks remain same on the order trucks. The wood is at the same place when you left. If your not physically online it won’t continue. Therefore you will never progress. If you don’t watch thousands of ads pay a great deal of money… you won’t progress. Want to upgrade- watch ads. What to increase managers so your equipment moves faster you guessed it —- money or ads. Three months on the same lvl. Loved the premise but the lvl of pain is now to great. I find it interesting that programmers bog down their games so badly with”stuff” or slow down progression that they drive away the very players who would drop money. Problem is the players figure out pretty fast that the lvl of pain to buy becomes every move and perpetually solves nothing becoming a waste of time and money.

Great game. My two cents would be the lack of progress while switching to another app briefly(I can only watch the games automation for so many hours before it’s entirely unnecessary) and the coding that decided to not start the countdown for next order until the previous order had been ‘claimed’. All the legwork is done at that point in a real-world context. Why prevent new work from happening when the check is waiting for you on your desk so to speak. My perception is unless you have eyes on your automated business there is no advance of commerce which is unrealistic and absurd to the fundamental point of the game. Every improvement is in the pursuit of better automation, is it not?

Probably a scam

Been playing this game for few wks now. I’ve come to realize that unless you are constantly taking the jobs, you are not progressing at all in the game. It takes probably 40+ lumber orders just to get enough needed supplies to make a house. 30mins later house is done and you’ll need to do 40+ more jobs to get more needed supplies. Very time consuming and not in a good way. The other problem is getting all the characters needed to upgrade the milling machines. Might watch 30 videos and not get enough character points to upgrade anything useful in upgrading production. Overkill on characters that that demand more production.
Save your money. This game is pleasing to watch, graphics are smooth and clean. Game play is lacking, frustrating, and worthy of spending real $$ money on.

I love this game. It’s one of my favorites. On that note there is a serious issue that needs to be brought to light.
When it comes to getting wood to sell, if you already bought the sawing and sanding machines you can’t build the workshop. You should have the option to turn on and off the sawing and sanding machines. This would improve the game in multiple ways, including the rates which would spike.
The game also needs an option to report an issue.
There is not even a help button. Hopefully one of the creators will read this and fix this issue.
I’ll try to keep playing despite this issue. If this matter does not get fixed soon I might have to stop playing.

This game starts out really fun but as you progress it becomes nearly impossible to play. As you level up, the managers level requirement for automation also goes up. So basically every time you level up you end up having to do everything manually. Eventually, the yard clogs up with products you need to sell. Sales aren’t automated (except a cheap type, which is really hard to level up enough to automate each time). It takes 2 minutes from when you collect the preceding reward to when you get to start the next one. Speaking of which, almost EVERYTHING requires watching ads as well. Nothing really changes when you level up either. You’d never know you leveled up except for the price increase. Bottom line, the game is basically an ad mill.

Fun in the beginning

The first couple weeks I played was fun, you could move through the game a level up in reasonable time frames. Each level getting something new for you mill. Don’t like restarting from scratch with each mill but the cash multiplier helps get the mill back to the previous level quickly. The equipment manager upgrade system is too time consuming. Based on random drawing through watching ads. Not against watching ads, but at least reward the user with upgrades and not hopes of an upgrade. This game could be better without this system. If I currently play the level I’m on for 24 hours a day I will be able to upgrade to the next mill in 747.4 days. Guess I’ll check back in a couple years. Maybe I’ll get a couple lucky manager draws and sell enough lumber to upgrade at least one manger…..

Gems/ diamonds need balancing

The game is good and a lot of fun. But as other reviewers say there needs to be some balancing with diamonds/gems to upgrade managers I get micro transactions are the name of the game to make money but the game is rendered almost unplayable after about the 5 saw mill because you need hundreds of Jena to upgrades a singe manage and if they aren't upgraded they “fall asleep” so they don’t do anything. Same thing with the auto delivery manage if you don’t have the upgraded to work the entire factory backs up and you have to wait like 120 seconds to take another order. If there was more balancing for that the game would be so much better and could be long term with many of us watching hours of adds for boosts and bonuses and so on. Please take this into consideration and make this one little fix

While this game is a lot of fun in the beginning (which i feel like is exactly how they hook you), it just seems too easy in the beginning and then as you progress, the less things are actually automated.. the more mills you purchase the more you need to upgrade your managers. Well you better hope that when you actually watch the ads to get the boxes or you actually buy the boxes with your gems or whatever that you actually get the cards to level up the actual manager you need… don’t even think about trying to use the actual gems to just purchase the next level manager because that’s gonna cost you 400 gems eventually. it is very fun in the beginning i’ll give the game developers that but why would you require me to have higher level managers the more i upgrade the saw mills. i understand maybe for the equipment, but it doesn’t make much sense for me to be at the 6th saw mill and have mill workers doing things by hand again and everything getting backed up, and truck drivers falling asleep and forklift drivers falling asleep. don’t even try to leave the game on over night or anything because again, the drivers just fall asleep.. so save your 4-5 days of time of grinding and watching hours and hours of ads just to make it impossible to level things back up. thanks but no thanks.

This game was fun for about a week. Unless I’m missing something, I’ve pretty much completely plateaued and beat the game. The only thing I have left is to upgrade the overall factory for small increases in production. I can’t earn any more gems it seems, I’ve unlocked all the production lines, and I have maxed out all the forklifts to max level. The managers it seems could continue to upgrade infinitely, but I’ve only been playing a week a two. That’s crazy fast to complete an idle game. Definitely needs more content to keep me playing.
I’m not really sure what my next goal is supposed to be. Maybe a whole new factory (with different colors and textures). Maybe the different kinds of trees shouldn’t just be cosmetic. Maybe you should use the different kinds of trees to create different valued woods. Make it so that after you would finish all the upgrades you unlock a new kind of tree and basically start over at a new factory with new more valuable wood. Just an idea.

Fun but one issue

The one thing people keep mentioning is how you gotta keep upgrading your managers.
Yes that’s a problem. However, more specifically, I’d say you could leave that or whatever, it just doesn’t make sense for us to require a higher level manager for the same evolution when you prestige to a higher sawmill. 2nd evolution the higher you go won’t stop requiring higher and higher level managers. You do that for higher evolutions, not sawmills. If you are looking at suggestions, that’s what I’d say. Meet in the middle, compromise. Keep the ads to level up the managers, just don’t keep increasing the required level manager for the same evolution upgrade. The further you go in sawmills the higher the requirement is and you’ll technically be stuck. It makes zero sense. Do that and I’ll be a happy camper/lumberjack.

Ok game turns to disappointment

I play a ton of idle games and this one started great. Goals were clear, takes some work to really get going, and then is fun for a while. Game was fun and entertaining. But with that being said, the game is no longer a idle game after the 3rd or 4th sawmill upgrade unless u want to spend a decent amount of money. I’ve played a ton of money grabbing idle games, but I’ve never seen one so boring and obvious. Most games, you can pay for a card perk that will last a while. But here, it’s so painstakingly obvious that you make it where you don’t gain enough gems to keep up with automation and you constantly move the goal post every time I upgrade the sawmill. Makes the game truly unplayable as an idle game. And I know your gonna respond like “Thanks for the feedback. We do our best to balance the game”. Please don’t cause I know it’s a lie.

the fact that this game has a free roam camera immediately makes it 5 star, i have not been playing for long but it is a lot of fun.
Update i’ve been playing for like 3 weeks and it’s an awesome game but the fact that the only way to get manager cards is through watching ads or doing enough challenges to get enough gems is just hard. now i get you want people to spend money but i’m sorry i enjoy spending my time playing games not buying through them so this one is just a little a slow after a while. also i have so many biz coins and since no manger cards i don’t have anything to do with them so they are becoming pointless considering how many ads i have to watch and how many cards i need. i understand that as i level them up i need more cards but make it easier to get them. i also wish i could upgrade my storage without manager cards, half my guys when i log on just stand there not getting me money. last thing is one is gonna buy 2x hour bonus unless they have already bought the 10 hours which is way more useful then 2x 2 hours.

Amazing but…..

The problem of increasing saw mills is eventually nothing is automated anymore. I’m on the advanced sawmill and now I have to upgrade managers to level 4 and the only feasible way to do that is to spend gems. I didn’t realize early on that I would need 200 gems to upgrade a manager, and now it’s 400. That’s $5 worth of gems and that’s only going to get worse the further I progress or nothing is automated and it’s no longer an “idle” game.
I have DEEPLY enjoyed the game play. If it weren’t for this one factor I would totally keep playing and probably even spend money on it! To me this is a blatant cash grab, and that’s on top of the easy 200+ ads I’ve watched to speed things along, and I won’t be going on anymore.
If you did it to where maybe efficiency decreased as you ranked up and you needed to improve managers, that would be fantastic. To blatantly force someone to spend money? Come on guys.

Good concept, poor execution

I really enjoy the concept of the game but with the inability to acquire the necessary managers to level up your stations it just isn’t that fun. It doesn’t take long to upgrade the sawmill but each time you do it requires a higher level manager to do the same task they did before. I see the developer keeps commenting that it “just takes more tenacity” to finish but you literally cannot play the game to its full potential without dropping a ton of money or watching every possible video for weeks at a time before upgrading. I would rather they make it harder to upgrade the sawmill and allow us to advance the stations than to make us have more advanced sawmills with the lowest possible stations.

Bait-and-switch disappointment

The previous version of this game was wonderful. Not perfect, but simple, straightforward, and enjoyable way to pass the time with no real gimmicks or annoyances you tend to see with idle games.
That all seems to have changed with the latest update. It's still the same base gameplay, but it has many (many) more time and progress gates that make it as unbearable to play as the aforementioned other idle games.
Want to make your areas go faster? Money doesn't matter now, you need to collect cards to hire managers - one for each discrete job area, hope you get the right one(s)!
Want to be able to just leave the game running? Sorry, the initial log truck and delivery forklift workers now fall asleep unless you are present to wake them up. Want to truly automate it? You'll need level 3 managers for each of them. Hope you like hunting for random manager cards.
Want to speed up the process of getting manager cards? Hope you have plenty of discretionary income, because you'll need a lot of the in-game currency (gems) to get chests. At a conversion rate of $10 for 9-24 production cards or 12-28 sales cards, there's a good chance you'll need more than a couple bucks.
TL;DR: What started out as a pretty good game has turned to trash like so many others. Avoid it unless you're into that kind of thing.

Game is very good but…

I am really enjoying this game and I think for the most part it is fantastic, however there are a few things I’m not fond of. I think it would be nice if some of the finished lumber sold automatically with upgrades available to increase how fast it sells and how much it sells for rather than just having the contracts, while I do like the contract system I think it would be better if that was more of a bonus while actively playing, it just feels really bad when the majority of your machines are stopped and waiting and even pumping biz coins into reduction of wait time doesn’t feel like enough. I use the sale option every time it pops up and it still feels like you hit a pretty hard roadblock. Overall the game is very fun and enjoyable. Would recommend and if this change happens this game would definitely be 5 stars from me!
