Wordgrams is a totally new type of crossword game where two players play the puzzle together. Some clues are pictures for extra fun! :)
Wordgrams is a turn-based game where two players complete the crossword puzzle together and compete for the highest score. It’s a new take on crossword puzzles too - Scandinavian style! - with clues inside the squares and some clues are pictures.
· Each player receives 5 letters at the start of each turn - then you have 60 seconds to place those tiles.
· You get points for placing letters correctly, completing words, playing all 5 letters, and fun bonus points tiles.
· Think carefully about playing certain letters though - as maybe it’s better to save that crucial letter for later!
Wordgrams is a unique twist on word games, and fans of crossword puzzles, Scrabble, and Words with Friends - should find themselves at home - and LOVING this new way to play!

The game itself is fun. You get 60 seconds to take your turn and you have to watch an ad after that for about 10 seconds each time. It forces you to click on the ad and takes you to the App Store every time. The ads are way to frequent and long. I deleted the game and going to try a different one.

This game is rated high in the store. And after playing, I can see why. It is fun to play.
However, the 2 star rating is for 2 reasons. First, the app drains my battery. It drains over 35% of my battery, while my 2nd most used app, drains just under 12% after a single day. And secondly, the constant ads between turns truly ruins the experience. This could be the reason for the high battery consumption. Also, using this tactic to run ads every turn to have some users buy their no ad feature is a bit sketchy.
And this will lead me to delete the game, which would be a shame as I have enjoyed some of the games.
I have never had to deal with battery management for a long long time and have no desire to keep a game that consistently drains it or run so many ads.

This is a great game. Unfortunately the game developer has chosen to ruin it with incessant ads (after every turn, sometimes randomly, if you win a reward and would like to actually receive what you earned - seriously it’s nonstop) so you will opt into their vampire business model (sucking money out of your account on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis). There is no option to buy it once and be done. $50 a year is their cheapest option. Luckily…there are so many ads that it is just a matter of time before before you find something else intriguing enough to replace it.

They just keep popping up. You can’t escape them. Most of my screen time on the game is spent trying to get rid of ads. They’re poorly placed, too. I get them before, after, and DURING my turns. They drain the heck out of my battery despite my phone being on Low Power Mode. Great game concept, but poor execution. I get that games cost money to develop, but maybe instead of overloading everyone with ads, you can also get rid of the bots. I assume CPU is expensive, anyway. Let real people play and maybe the sheer amount of ads won’t be necessary. But this is enough for me to delete the game. I’m in the spectrum, and I really can’t handle it.

I love word games. I love words. I hold an MFA in writing. I have published articles in magazines. Words are my life. However, this game has very little to do with words and much more to do with advertisements.
If you make a play, they show you an ad. If you get an achievement, they show you an ad. Somewhere between all of the ads there’s a little bit of fun. However, if you don’t like watching ads, the fun is soon stripped away.
They offer an ad free version, but I’m not sure how ad free they mean. A lot of times when you subscribe to an ad free version of a game, you still get ads. So I’m not going to worry with that. Rather, I’m just going to not play the game.

Even so, it’s become increasingly obvious that I’m playing almost exclusively against bots. From the excessive nonsensical and out of context use of the emojis to the always similar names, to the clearly fake pictures of those with “premium accounts” to just the gameplay in general something just isn’t right. And then I started thinking about it and thought this is a really relatively unknown game in the grand scheme of it all, and it sometimes takes me hours for a words with friends play response. Why would this one have such sudden, literally 2.5 second responses? There can’t be that many people playing. Theres only one explanation that satisfies all of the above issues. They’re bots. Mindless, soulless bots and they use those stupid emojis to entice real people into buying the emoji packs so the more reactionary players can “fight back” or respond. This also makes me wonder how many of these reviews were created by questionable means. But also, yes, without the ad blocker I would have given up this game a long time ago.

As much fun as the game is, you will spend more time watching ads that pop up nonstop than you will actually playing the game. I definitely understand that is how developers make their money… but the amount this game has is completely excessive. If you play for 1 hour you will see a bare minimum of 30 ads -if you’re taking your time setting tiles - or 70+ if you aren’t.
For the game itself I’d give 5 stars… due to ad interruption I want to give 1… so I averaged the two for a 3 overall… which given the frustration with the amount of ads, is generous.

Got this game through Swagbucks. You get rewarded by leveling up in the leagues, but mysteriously after the second week, the leagues disappeared so the goals are not attainable anymore. It feels like a swindle. I messaged the company and they said they were working on it. But it’s been days. It’s really hard to believe that they can’t fix that function. I guarantee you if it was the ads that weren’t working, that would be fixed and a hot second.
Also, the ads! I expect to and am willing to watch ads for free games. But after every two turns? And they’re long. The longest I’ve seen in any game.
It’s a shame because the game itself is fun. And even if I was willing to pay the exorbitant no ads fee, I would never give my credit card information to these people. They either are incompetent or cheaters or both.

Not only is this game relentlessly laggy with constant ads that last for over a minute, but now the sole reason I downloaded this app has disappeared. I had a swagbucks offer to move up in the leagues and now it’s Monday when I should be able to check my place, and the league still hasn’t come back. Towards the latter half of the week I couldn’t check my ranking, so I may not have even moved up at all which means I’ll be missing out on cash because of how badly this app is designed. Don’t get me wrong the games are pretty fun, but there are too many issues to keep it downloaded long term. You can’t even remove the ads forever if you wanted to because they only offer ad removals for a certain amount of days. If you want people to stop dropping this game after their offers end, then put a button that takes you to the league even if there is an event going on and make it so we can get rid of ads with one purchase.

Literally downloaded this through inbox dollars in which you get compensated after hitting various league rankings… about 3 weeks into playing it they deleted the league rankings option from the app. Super scummy as I’m assuming they did this just to get a ton of people hooked on the game and then delete rankings before most people could get significantly compensated off it. The amount of ads has also increased over the 3 weeks of playing and it makes the game insufferable when I’m literally spending more time watching ads than playing the actual game. It’s too bad because i would have actually kept playing and found the game itself fun but now due to their scammy behavior I’ll be deleting it.

I’ve had this app for years and pay for the VIP subscription which grants weekly coins, enhancements, and no ads. If you don’t open the game at least once a week, you’re simply giving a donation to the game as you don’t accumulate coins. I took a break from all games for a several months and not only did my coins NOT accumulate though the money came out for my subscription, support never responded to my inquiry.
The other reason for my rating is my subscription includes no ads, however there is a forced ad after every single round of any game, ads for “free” spins, ads to claim your prize, ads for EVERYTHING. My payment to remove ads has zero impact and I’m still forced to watch ads. Such a waste of money…
If I make an online purchase for 1 hr photo pickup, my purchase is waiting for me until I get there. I don’t have to continue to pay for each hour that passes by. Why doesn’t my paid coins from my subscription accumulate when I’ve paid for the product?? Total scam.
The mini games & general games are fun but the subscription is just robbery.

This game is really fun. But it has way too many long ads. A player gets an avg 60 seconds during a turn to add letters to the board. Then that’s followed by a 30-40 second ad. You might get an option to extend your turn — if you watch another ad. In between turns, a prize wheel pops up. If you spin it, you have to watch an ad before claiming your prize. If you choose not to spin, you STILL have to watch an ad before moving on. You can pay $ to eliminate ads, but it’s a monthly subscription. The game itself is different and fun, but it’s not worth hours and hours of ads. You spend more time waiting on ads than you do actually playing! I played for about 4 days, then got frustrated and deleted the app.

This game is really fun. I enjoy playing it a lot. It has things that I wish they would fix. It glitches a lot. It removes letters I placed, then missing words I completed. Refreshing the game after I fully completed a turn. Some of the clues are really bizarre. Like pepper was the clue. Eye was the answer. Dates was the clue. Sees was the answer. No idea the connection. Beyond that the pop ups and add ons are truly ridiculous. Play a challenge to get 10 perfect turns for coins, great. I’m not paying $4 to get those coins. The game is already stupidly priced. I hate ads. $4/weekly is stupid. Be reasonable. I wish they would fix these glitches and really nail down the clue words to be sensible across the board.

i’ve only had this game for a little over a week and have played it every single day whenever i have the chance because it is so, so fun! but oh my goodness… the amount of ads is insufferable. the only reason i am leaving this review was because i wanted to check to see if other people have complained about the same thing and they have, and yet nothing has been done about it. i just spent about 20 minutes reading through the reviews and the majority of the ones below 5 stars are complaining about the awful amount of ads. i see the developers respond to some of these but i haven’t seen one response on the countless call outs on this ongoing issue. either lessen the ads or give a one time purchase for ad free playing. this is ridiculous to ignore your audience when we’re the ones you should be aiming to please. fix the problem or people will get sick of this game and abandon it.

can’t even play thanks to constant pop ups and ads. Also it keeps opening up my safari app to some sketchy website and I don’t even click anything. Im definitely NOT paying $2 a WEEK to get rid of ads haha. I’d maybe pay a one time payment to get rid of ads forever but not weekly. gmfu😂😂 ADs aside there’s just way to much going on, things constantly popping up about different challenges and spin the wheel a thousand times (which u gotta watch an ad to do and you got to watch an ad to claim the prize ;) )I just want to play the normal game. Just a terribly awful app. I get they need to make money but when the ads disrupt the entire playability of your game.. you gotta know something is really wrong there… so sick of this garbage cluttering the app store. This game is amazing. However, the ads are overwhelmingly bad!! They pop up literally after everything you do! I would buy the game if it was sold for $10-15 but I’m not subscribing to a game that I have to keep paying for. I love playing, especially with family, you can send a game to anyone with a phone or tablet. I just really wish the ads weren’t so bad. On top of getting an ad with everything you do, they are the longest ads I’ve ever seen in a game. It’s gotten to the point that after I take a turn, the ad pops up and I just close the game out and come back in a few minutes.

For these supposedly “real people” I’m playing against, they respond back way too quick to actually be anything other than bots. That, and they know what the word will be far too quickly, and make really odd placements of letters when choosing where to place them. It’s very obvious a majority of the “people” you’re playing against are actually robots.
Additionally, while the ads are annoying, it’s manageable. However, what is completely unacceptable is the sudden launching of my phone’s screen from the app to a safari webpage displaying a classic “you’ve won a contest!” scam. This happened multiple times. The risk this app provides of downloading a virus because it forces you onto these scam webpages is ridiculous.
The game itself is alright, but not worth the downsides.

The singular continuous issue with this game I find is that it can be extremely glitchy and slow to load. It freezes frequently during game play. I thought it could be an issue with my phone but have since eliminated that avenue. The daily puzzle is enjoyable except for the constant “intermission” (ad break) that appearsI would consider buying the full version but definitely NOT until the bugs are worked out! But all in all keep up the great work.

I’m pretty selective about the apps I pay for, so I’m happy with paying for monthly access to ads-free on WordGrams Crossword. I can play multiple people and the algorithm for pairing up players with equal ability makes my duels fun and challenging; It makes me want to look at my stats more often and do better. I like the separate challenges and side games as well. I also like that I can add “friends” with players on the same level so I can play against them frequently. No complaints here!

The game itself is super fun when it keeps going. There is practically a commercial at every step of the way. Even when rejecting the “bonus” I am subjected to an ad to get to the main page. Considering you are tracking my info. I and ur4 there must be a loophole to keep me active on the app even though it is mostly sitting around waiting. To pay for only a week of respite is ridiculous. The barrage of ads makes sense at this point. There are other games that are free with in-ap purchases that are not this annoying or advantageous. It really is too bad because the game itself is intriguing. Too bad. I am already getting bored and going to play my other 6 games that don’t take advantage of my time and data.

The game is very fun to play. However, the free version is inundated with ads. You spend more time watching ads than actual playing. You’ll get a question about your preference for ad free and the cost or “continue seeing ads”. If you don’t pay, get ready for a long run of ads!! I gave 3 stars just due to watching ads more than actual playing. Free spins are frequent BUT to collect the prize, you guessed it, you have to watch an ad. They’re not brief either. I finally gave in and paid. Wow….still ADS upon ADS!!!! You get a “free spin” but to collect……you guessed it ADS!!! If you opt for more time and extra coins…..ADS!!!! The paid version removed a few ads but you’re still inundated with ads!!! This is the worst game I’ve ever played in regards to ads. So, be prepared to spend more time, paid version or not, watching ads!!

This is a fun game, however it inundates the player with ads. There are ever-present mini ads on the screen, an ad after each turn, if you do a free spin, you must watch an ad to collect the prize. Even if you pay to remove ads, you still need to watch them to collect any prizes. This was fun for about a week, but the ads make the game too annoying to play, and paying to remove is lot worth the cost since it doesn't remove them all. Also, for the most part, you're playing against AI players and not real people, anyway. I'd pay once (no more than $5-$10) to remove ads forever, if they actually went away. The game is fun, but you'll spend more time watching ads than playing. Deleting.

From what I see, you cannot buy ad-free permanently, it’s just for a limited time. (A week at a time, a month, or a year, however long you’re paying.) Why can’t I just pay $3/4 for no ads forever? They are not consistent with the spin and/or watching videos to earn diamonds to earn different tiles. One time you watch a video and it spins to see how many you get. (Limit of 3 spins if you’re lucky.) Other times, you watch the video for a measly 10 diamonds only. (Limits vary.) Now, with the August tiles, I’ve noticed I USED to have like 3 of the tiles in my collection. I don’t have the other 3/4 yet, they are left to earn. But it’s interesting that the 3 tiles I had are no longer in my collection, and I have to save diamonds to earn them back again. That’s how long I’ve been playing this game, a few years. Those were some of the very first tiles I ever got. I wish i could remove the last star I had to give to even make a review. Minor update: looking at the new tiles for October. At least 1/2 I’ve seen and had in the past. Like the mummy wrap with the eyes showing. Had that like 2 years ago. But they stole that back and are making me spend my coins to get them again. The earning of tiles is a jip.

I really wanted to continue playing. I considered the paid version. The price is not a fixed price and can be expensive in the long run and this game is not worth it. The alternative is seeing unskippable ads after every turn. The ads are terrible too, some say 30 seconds but after the timer goes down it doesn’t give you an X, there’s an arrow which makes the App Store pop up with the game from the ad. You have to close that and sometimes it makes it pop up again or there’s a second timer before the X pops up. I ran into a few games with a fake X that just launches the App Store. I just realized that many of the other players are indeed bots but that hasn’t been a problem as I have 20 win streak. I have used this app for two weeks and can honestly say that the developers are very greedy with ads and the paid version. I also saw that even with the paid version you have to watch an ad to get extra coins.

Fun to play, good concept, but insanely broken. Opening the app initiates a loading screen that takes ages and then, halfway through, suffers an error that starts the loading over again. Games load partway so the countdown starts but half the clues haven’t loaded in and are still trying to load by the time your turn ends. Submitted turns get error messages that they were unable to submit because the request timed out. Restarting the app means, you guessed it, more broken loading screens. Various buttons stop working randomly. Go ahead, restart the app again—you might get somewhere in about four minutes when it manages to load. I’ve spent significantly more time struggling with the app than I have actually playing. I really want to keep trying to play this but it’s driving me mad. After less than two days, I’m uninstalling to save my sanity.

I want to start off by saying that I am a “game hopper.” I get bored quickly so typically, as soon as I download a game and play for a little, I’m deleting it the same day. I’ve had this game for well over a year now and I play it seriously every day, even if for only 10 minutes. It has a great mix between challenging and excitement. It keeps me on my toes and I really do think it keeps the brain sharp. However…I have one problem. THE ADS! Ads are a part of almost every game now. I’m used to that. However, this game has an ad after every single turn. Then, the worst to me, is when you’re playing the mini games within the app, like the solo challenge, every couple seconds, an ad pops up. It’s seriously like every 15 seconds and those games can take you up to 5, maybe even more, minutes to do! You know how many ads that ends up being?! It makes me frustrated and I quit every time. They have an option to purchase ad free…FOR A MONTLY PRICE! That, to me, is ridiculous. Any game I have actually felt was worth keeping with ads had an option to remove them permanently. I’d gladly pay to do that, but it’s not an option. I love this game a lot and I’ve even suggested it to others…but I don’t know how much longer I can take these ads without a permanent solution to remove them (and NOT by paying a monthly charge!)

Wow! What a fun game. It’s a totally new way to play crosswords. I love the picture hints. Super fun and really makes me think. It’s definitely a great little break and keeps my mind sharp. I love how I can jump in and just play one turn in a game so quickly. Definitely sharing this one with all my friends! So many puzzles!
I really like all the different game modes too. I’ve been playing this game for almost two years now and it’s really great to see how many features the team is adding to the game. It’s clear they really are working hard on this game. It’s always fresh. New thing surprise me. I am totally surprised by their creativity - in a great way. What will they think of next?!
Another great thing I’ve been really happy about besides the different word puzzles - is the new customization. That’s so fun! I love seeing some new tile style and thinking “where on earth did that player get that? And how can I get it?!” They’re really fun and vibrant and make the game more interesting. Keep it up team!!!!

I wanted to love this game, I really did. Competitive, accessible crosswords with a leveling system and new daily puzzles? Sign me up!
But the incessant ads, the sheer greed with which the developers try to wring money out of you (Seriously, $4 a week, $10 a month, or $50 a year to remove ads? Not even a one-time purchase?)c the fact that I started running into the same clues after only a few games (not to mention that some of the clues are just abbreviations?)… it all really soured the experience and ruined any desire I had to touch this game again.
Try it if you want. It’s genuinely fun to puzzle out the clues, earn league cups, and unlock new game modes to try (even if the “Word of the Day” is a blatant Wordle clone). But don’t spend money on this game. You deserve better.

I love playing this game; however, recently, ads have been popping up at the bottom of my screen blocking my ability to see my puzzle pieces and select them. So when this happens, I literally can’t even play the game. Sometimes restarting the app makes those ads at the bottom go away, but sometimes I have to wait a few hours for it to go away. Very annoying and I feel it’s a strategy on the app developer’s part to try to force people to pay regularly to have all ads removed. If this continues, I will be deleting this app.

This is a super fun and engaging game, but I’m going to uninstall it very soon because of the amount of (as well as length of) ads. One of the solo mini games requires you to tap on the clue to change the direction of the input. Every few taps I get an ad. So if I accidentally tap a box it will bring up an ad. Not only that but most ads are 1 full minute. I play in between my customers at work or waiting for tasks between dinner but the ads make it nearly impossible or enjoyable. The only way to stop seeing ads is to pay for them to stop, but even then it’s expensive because the fee only covers one month at a time. It’s a great game but I won’t be playing it much longer nor recommending to my friends.

I am really enjoying the game, there’s always available games to play & if you want an actual “fast paced” game, you can choose for that too. It does seem a bit pricey to play without ads since you can never really “own” the game. Just pay a subscription. It has an error when trying to link it to FB, which apparently they’re currently working on. ★★☞
My issue is the “players” who have actual photos as their avatars. Those photos are all stock photos. Those players show that they’re offline all day but the second I submit my turn (no matter the time of day/night), they instantly are online and make their turn. I pay a subscription while under the impression that I’m playing other players. A fair, earner win/loss. These bots are usually the ones sending random game invites and some will show they’re on a 16 game winning streak but they play horribly and I win with triple the score. I’m playing for a fair game against another player, not a bot. It truly takes the fun out of the game if it’s bot after bot.

I really like this game BUT can't get any response from support. There are three prices for VIP yearly subscription with no explanation of the differences. I have emailed support twice for information with no replies. I'm not about to pay the yearly rate without knowing what I will be getting. Also I have supposedly linked to Facebook but cannot get my profile picture to change to the Facebook profile picture and am stuck with a bland generic grey silhouette. No answer to that issue either. Both my wife and Injave signed up for a month but will delete the app if we don't get answers by the end of the month.

I really enjoy this game and the different ways/puzzles/challenges you can play. The only things I have issues with are:
1. This game blocks my phone from auto-locking as I’ve set it in my system settings, so my screen just stays on unless I exit the app. This causes my phone to get super hot because I’m not used to having to explicitly exit an app after playing a turn and waiting for another player or after an ad finished playing. No other game/app I have does this. Please fix this because it is a security/safety issue.
2. The ads are absolutely bonkers. Ad to get back to the lobby, ad to start a new turn, ad once I complete a turn, ad to view this page, ad to go back to the lobby from viewing a page. It’s like every single click causes an ad.

I absolutely love this game, however, the app itself makes my phone really hot which in turn causes the app to glitch. I would love to blame it on my phone but it’s the only app that does this. Especially now that I don’t pay for the ad free version, the extremely long ads that play every other second causes me to have the app open longer and takes away from my playtime because I have to close the app out to get my phone to return to normal temperature. Won I was winning all the time and because he doesn’t know who to lose he keeps doing rematch again with me and the last game I was winning him again and them he didn’t want to put the words again and again, he was just putting done without putting a word and the end they finish the game letting him win, I was winning 23 in a row and this guy was cheating and you let him win. This is the worse thing, letting people play cheating and getting their way, because they don’t know how to lose. Is I already won him several times, why you let him to rematch me over and over again. People like them you don’t have to let play, if you already play with someone and you want to play again you should put them with another player not with the same one over and over again. I been trying to make a report about this and I can’t, it doesn’t give me the option to make a report and that’s why I’m writing this review. Also that my app keeps closing by itself all the time.

Love the game. The clues do repeat them selves but I never know the whole puzzle. I change board sizes often so I get a mix and end up forgetting some of the clues. Keeps it challenging enough to be interested.
Only problem is the adds. There is an add after every turn. I have 6 game boards and to respond to any of them I have an add. Even playing the computer there is an add every turn.
The subscription is silly. I’m not paying $5 a month for no adds. There are other word games I can play. I feel myself closer and closer to deleting and I’m losing interest because of the amount of ads.

I love this game! I play it everyday and I really hate that I’m about to delete it!! However it makes my iPhone very hot and drains the battery very quickly and then it’s starts to freeze up, then the game will just kick you out and when you go back in it …it has taken one of your lives! I have send support 2 emails about it with no response. Then you can be in the lead by over 60 points and using all five letters every go, then the computer will come back and play five letters and score over 100 points instantly making you lose! Also when you are doing the challenges it give the computer the letter to place on the x2 and plus 5… making it impossible to bet the computer! Was a fun game but they taking my lives at not fault of my own and the cheating for the computer it makes it hard to even wanna play!

There are so many ads, it’s fine to have ads but sometimes it plays when your in a middle of a match thinking of a word and the matches are timed. My biggest problem with the ads is that a lot of them freezes and I know it’s not me because every other device in my house works just fine. Because the ads freezes you have to restart the game and good luck if your in the middle of a match because you automatically loses if you restart the game. The game lags a lot, there are solo games that requires you to type and you have to type really slowly or it will skip letters, then there’s also the problem of the game constantly zooming in when I pick up a letter and try to place it in the square. The game is a great idea but it just has way to many problems for it to be enjoyable.

The game itself isn’t terrible, but my complaints are similar to other reviewers. The subscription ad thing is completely ridiculous. There should be a one time ad charge option. Having to purchase a subscription or watch a terrible amount of ads is a huge dissatisfier.
My other complaint is when you get to the final turns. It sometimes gives you only one letter although there are 5 spaces left and sometimes it gives you all five or even three. This happens regardless of if you’re in the lead or losing. There’s no rhyme or reason why it happens and can sometimes cause you to lose because of it.

Suggestion alert for developers!🚨 This is one of the better crossword apps I’ve played. I’ve tried a few, but this is my favorite. I enjoyed my free week of no ads, but after that I got annoyed. The ads aren’t long but I don’t like the ad that sits at the top of the screen in every game. It’s covering up part of the score and who you’re playing and other little details. I hate all the ads, which is normal. I like the option to get rid of them by paying, but why do we have to subscribe to play? Why can it not just be a one time purchase for no ads? I’d pay up to 10 dollars for no ads forever.. once. Think about making a one time payment for no ads and more people may pay! Especially ones who really enjoy this one more than the rest. Id give more stars if there wasn’t so many repeats of “clues” and if the paying for no ads were to change. Times are bad right now and many are cancelling subscriptions.
The app also crashes very often. Luckily no progress is loss.

I love word games and when I came across this recently I thought it was great. Fun, challenging, relaxing. But those long ads after EVERY TURN?? Just beyond annoying. I finally broke down and paid the ridiculous price of $4.99 to remove the ads for a month. (Most other games I play charge less and remove them PERMANENTLY. ) So listen to this, folks: They removed the ads that play after every turn, as promised. BUT instead of awarding me my earned coins at the end of a game, they made it so I have to WATCH AN AD before I can get the coins! That’s right - NO coins are given to me anymore unless I watch an ad first - the exact same long ads I just paid to get rid of! What an unbelievable low-down CHEAT this was on their part. Don’t fall into this trap like I did. I spent the 5 bucks for absolutely nothing. My choice is to either put up with the ads or never get any coins. Since the coins are needed for game play, I am stuck between the proverbial rock and hard place. Much as I enjoy this game, I will be deleting it. Shame on these dishonest game creators.

This game is a great concept and very fun but there is one aspect of it that makes it extremely frustrating and it happens at the end of the round. When you get to the end and there’s only about 3-5 spaces left, it seems like the number of letters it gives you is entirely random. It seems like every time if I have the turn and there are only two spaces left, it’ll only give me one letter, making the other guy win even though i had a big lead. Conversely on the other guys turn, there will be 5 spaces left and it’ll give them all 5 letters, once again making them win despite me having a very large lead. Very frustrating and needs to be fixed/regulated.

I love this game, even with the intrusive, endless ads. Unfortunately, there’s a glitch they have not resolved. If your opponent doesn’t play all five of their letters, the app saves those letters for your opponent and will not give them to you. This means you may only have one or two letters for your last turn, effectively giving your opponent an extra turn and therefore an unfair advantage. I had heard that they were going to fix this, but as of yet it is still happening. It is very frustrating to lose a 20+ game streak to a glitch. 😰

I have been playing this game for quite some time, completing hundreds of boards with very few repeats. It is an all around fantastic game. Allowing a player to have days to play their turn during a match is one of my favorite features, it keeps games from becoming stagnant, and there’s no pressure to take a turn immediately. It’s vocabulary boosting, and also works on strategy techniques and memory skills. Updates are smooth and it has very few glitches that I’ve come across. Wonderful job designers. Absolutely a 10 out of 10 game.

I absolutely am in love with this game. I can’t give it a 5 though because…for example…I have been playing this game for a little bit, I know most of the words on the boards, but I can play against other people who will guess like 1 or 2 letters each time. Then when it gets closer to the end, and they are losing bad, they will throw 1 or 2 letters on the board and end up winning. It’s not a fair way to win, especially when 90% of the time the one player gets most of the letters on each turn. Then the other person beats you, and there is no other way to explain that. It’s a crappy way to cheat into winning. Especially when you know the words and you can’t guess then cause you wanna play lees words to win at the end.

I finally found a game I enjoy coming back to. For I have downloaded, purchased many many games and apps and this is the only one in 20 years I have not grown bored with and unfortunately since this latest update all I get is the game loads to 35% and then the update button appears. However when I click on upgrade it sends me to the site but all that appears is the button to open it. But when I click on open all that happens is the game pops up with the update button there again. This is occurring on my iPad. My Samsung phone worked just fine. I was able to click on update and it worked as it should. I can’t play the biggest board on my phone due to being able to read the little clues. So please please please fix the issue. Thank you. The new rule change takes away a strategy.
Explanation? Sometimes throughout the game you have a hard time figuring out what the pictures are trying to say, so you do your best but can inevitably fall behind. The only way to catch up sometimes is when you get to the end, and have managed to work things so that you can get a bonus square that enables you to take the lead and win.
By taking away that ability to not use every tile, if you fall behind by a certain amount, there’s no need to try finishing the match because you now have no way to catch up. If your opponent happens to pull ahead, even if you get some words, if they get lucky and manage to hit the bonus squares first, you have no strategy left to even try to win.
The rule change is ridiculous and breaks the game. You will need to try to get the bonus squares ASAP now instead of actually using strategy to play then at the best time. There’s a similar game to this called Kryss which I guess I will go play instead because this new rule change absolutely ruins this one. They say it was based on player feedback? Perhaps those players need to learn how to actually use strategy in the game instead of whining about “hoarding.” Absolutely awful and a terrible rule change.

I came across this one and FELL. IN. LOVE. So now that you know that let’s get to why I’m writing this: since the new update my game has been loading. It would get to 15% and say “error” :(. And I do not want to delete this game because I’m scared I would lose my games that I’m currently in, but could we just fix that part. I don’t know if it’s just my game or not, so if I have to delete it to fix it then I will, but I love this game and do not want to get rid of it simply because of a loading error problem.

I’ve been playing this game for a couple of years now. I’ve never seen another like it. It’s truly unique! It’s a mix of crosswords with pictures as clues. Some clues are partial words. It’s so fun to play and you’re exercising your brain at the same time! I’ve never had an issue with opponents playing their turn in a timely manner. In fact,my opponents play so fast I often wonder if they’re bots. Lol...everyone I’ve played is friendly too, sending a polite “good luck” message. I moved to Pictawords after a pretty dull experience with a similar game. It’s a huge improvement over its competition! However, I have two “bot” games that have been stuck for 8 days. The bot stated the game and sent a friendly chat which is normal. After several rounds the bot stopped playing. When I went to the chat hoping to nudge them back to life, they appeared to come back online to take their turn. Sadly, this was a false alarm and the bot went back to their dormant state. There is no way for me to delete the game without forfeiting, which I don’t want to do. I emailed the developers with no response, and their recent update didn’t resolve the issue. However, the game is amazing otherwise and I enjoy playing against others who actually play within a decent timeframe!

This is a novel idea, but falls down in execution.
First, there is no single player mode. Most people who enjoy works games like myself, enjoy the relaxing, non-competitive nature of notate of these types of games. To at insult to injury, they actually force you to accept a multi-player game the first time someone invites you to play. There is no ability to decline. It darkens the screen and only allows you to either accept the match, or close out the game completely.
Second, the game is timed even when you are in the tutorial. This adds a great deal of stress to the experience of playing (and not the good kind either). There is no option that I could find to play an un-timed match. They could have even offered an asynchronous option for multiplayer, but no dice.
Finally, the clues are truly awful. I play a lot of crossword type games (both with pictures and without), so I’m used to deciding the clues. The ones here are so random and obscure as to be entirely obtuse. It takes the fun right out of playing.
Aside from these issues, there were many other small annoyances. For example, it wouldn’t let me use my first name and last TWO upper case initials of my last name. This all added up to frustration, rather than fun. I suggest you keep looking for a better option.

It will work for a couple of rounds and then start glitching. It will say I took my turn and got points for a turn I never took. The board stays the same. The other player never goes and then the game sits there because it says “waiting for the other player” to take their turn. I end up having to resign the game and hope it will work the next time and it never does. I turned notifications off thinking maybe it had something to do with the notifications. I also tried not to exit the game board if I see the Other person is playing but nothing has worked. Please fix this because the game is great. I finally uninstalled it because I have 20 games I can’t finish!
