Used for a SCAM

Had a scammer call and said they were from my bank fraud department. There were some withdrawals on my account they had questions on. They knew my bank card numbers and said they were going to stop the transactions. They said they were now using MyBambu as a way to keep my account safe and they set up the account. Then the money was taken out of my account anyway. They also used Future Card as another way to protect my account. I lost $3000.00. Watch your MyBambu account closely.

What an inconvenience!

I’ve been using their services for about 2 years now and it’s been great. Easy to use and manage your money but all that is gone!!! They don’t give their referral or new opening person, bonus warning

I was I signed up for the card under with the understanding that if I loaded $20 on there I would get a $20 bonus from the person and the person that referred me we both get it. I’ve never received it. It’s been almost 2 months it was three weeks that said it would take. I’ve messaged him repeatedly. All they say is wait. It’ll be there sooner or later just warning that they don’t follow the word and they might be a little scam.

This app sent out representatives to my college to get us to download it guaranteeing that we’d get 30 dollars if we deposited 20 dollars into the account and then take that 20 out since then i’ve sent and taken out over 40 dollars and still have YET to receive my 30 dollars this app is a scam and their representatives lied and so did the app

FRAUD - used by scammers

BE CAREFUL. I was told by a scammer I needed to download this app, after receiving text from what seemed like my bank regarding potential fraudulent purchase. I was asked to provide my card number, my address, card number, etc. They had me create a Bambu account, put in my ID, and I believe they linked my account info with the app. I got suspicious when they told me to uninstall the app, and then they hung up. I then began getting emails stating information on my Bambu account (address/phone number) were changed, with changes made to states I have never even been in.

Worse bank ever

I got my account working just fine, suddenly I got an email saying that my account was restricted and I took all the actions necessary for get it back, sent emails with the evidences asked and everything, then few days later when I check again in the app says “your account was blocked”. Thankfully I had only there just a few dollars, funny thing it’s since first notification to take actions with the account I couldn’t take out even those few dollars lol. Anyway I hate it already, so if you’re using it just be aware and don’t get too much money with them, you’d be advised.

Signed up because I saw the promo of earning $30 after depositing a min of $20 to account. Was informed by customer service that it can take up to 15 business days to receive it. Waited for nearly 45 days after deposit date and never received anything. Reached out to their CS three times and got the same generic email response of them still working on and delayed in processing these promotion requests - the first two occasions . On the third attempt, received no response. Closed MyBambu account. This company is apparently running a scam to get new consumers to open an account. Don’t get bamboozled by MyBambu.

deposited $20 from my apple pay to the app because i was told not by 1 but 3 different people that it was an accepted way for the at the time $40 reward bonus called 2 days in a row for an update on when i’d get it after finally getting a correct date it was supposed to hit my account not once was i told that it wasn’t an accepted method for the bonus in fact i was told i would get it and it was verified called again today because i was SUPPOSED to receive it yesterday just to be told by a 4th person that it wasn’t not verified then was told i would not even get compensated for the prior 3 people giving me wrong and false information. i will being it up with a lawsuit on the fact 3 people gave me the wrong idea on being able to receive the reward and the 4th telling me they could see it in their system all along.

I can’t believe it it says in this apps about if you sign up with the ID from your home country that You will receive $40 in your my bamboo account that is a lie I set up on my bamboo account with my ID and do not receive $40 called customer service and they argued with me and told me that I had to deposit money. That’s not what this promotion says it states and I have a screenshot proving what it states that if you open an account from your home country that you receive $40 in your my bamboo account that’s what I did. customer service hung up on me after me, asking to talk to the manager, and they would not let me my bamboo is a joke. Don’t open an account with them. They’re a scam as soon as you deposit money into your my bamboo account I guarantee you they’ll take it in some kind of way if they’re running scams like this, who knows what they’re doing.

I just tried opening the account and it was already giving me trouble with my ID and I started reading all of the reviews and it looks like this might not be a good fit for me. After all. I see nothing but bad reviews and right now after dealing with PayPal, I am very Septic and not choosing my bamboo for a banking account. Look at all reviews before you dive into anything. I definitely see more negative. Well actually I see all negative with maybe a one positive review if things change I will submit another review but at this time already having the issues of just signing up, I think I’m going to hold off.

Scam!!!!!!!

These people are scammers!!!!! It’s a lie they tell you to sign up you will get $40 after depositing $20 it’s says 7-15 days. Let’s be mindful that it’s 15 business day which is technically like 20ish days since opening the acct. they make you wait and wait and never send the money oh and don’t refer anyone because you won’t get the $30 they promise to send wife referring a friend or family! It’s a scam it is now the 17th business day and probably the 25th actually day of me opening the account! They are now telling me I have to wait more days and still no money! Do NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE PEOPLE. My sister never got her money either. Times are hard and these companies are lying!!!!!! They Steal Your Money

I put my direct deposit into this fake bank account. For no reason they locked my debit card, without notifying me. I called them and they said it was for “security purposes” but I could go to the ATM and take cash out. I went to the ATM and my card wouldn’t work there either. After 2.5 hours on hold, they told me to report my debit card “lost” and get a new number where I could add the digital card to my Apple Pay and at least transfer the money that way to pay my bills. Nope, that didn’t work either and now I don’t even have a working physical card. They don’t respond to emails (ever, going on 3 weeks), and don’t allow you access to your own money. I’m filing a police report and reporting them to the FTC tomorrow as at this point they have stolen my money since they won’t allow me access. Oh and there’s no supervisors. Just offshore call center people who know nothing. Long story short, don’t put your money here unless you want it stolen from them.

Dear Bambu Bank,
I'm writing to express my outrage and disappointment at the blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and truthful advertising. Despite multiple assurances from your customer service representatives, I still haven't received the promotion I was promised. I've recorded conversations with four different representatives, and they all confirmed that I correctly completed the terms and conditions.
As per our agreement, I was supposed to receive the promotion today. However, it's clear that your company has no intention of honoring its commitments. This is not only unacceptable but also a clear case of false advertising.

Do not use this bank

I switched my direct deposit here after having this account for two years. Since I have done that, I have not received one deposit when it was deposited per their terms and conditions I have had to make calls into the company both months. The first month I was told that it was because it was my first direct deposit, this is the second month and my deposit still not there on time but nobody can tell me why. Again I got the will make a escalated and get back to you within 24 to 48 hours. There are no answers provided by Customer Service they don’t follow their own terms and conditionsand that’s just on the Customer Service end. The app itself is pretty much useless when it comes to anything especially with any kind of an online banking information. I have seen this. They will hold onto your money until they are ready to release it and not a moment sooner.

I wouldn’t trust this app. Not to mention that the only good reviews are in Spanish, super strange. I haven’t dug too deep into the app but I’ve read some reviews from real people on this and my complaint is on the excessive messaging they do, I get text messages from them multiple times a day and it’s been months.. they haven’t missed a single day. It’s a little much for me and I hope every trace of my account is deleted from this company. The good reviews are fake, listen to the bad ones.

Scam!

I requested my card two weeks ago and I cancelled and try to open it again and I had no response by the “customer support” I called as demanded on the app I sent an email two weeks ago and never got an answer. After calling like 5 days in a row I got a hold of a representative (Carol) that told me from 24-48 hrs I was going to get an answer. It has been 49 hrs I called again and Sergio was so rude and monotone voice. He told me to wait 48 more hours. My card and my account are useless because I can’t use access it.

False Advertising!!!!

Do not waste your time signing up especially if they are offering a referral bonus. They will not pay it even after you have sent in all kinds of proof that someone signed up using your link! On top of that they will block your email so that you cannot contact them. Also the card DOES NOT connect to your Apple Pay or Google Pay even though they say that it will. I’ve had nothing but problems since I first got my card but held out hope it would get better. The final straw for me was not getting the bonus and being blocked!!

Bad service

Terrible bank, they closed my account only because they did not want to pay me since I referred two friends and a family member and automatically when it was time for payment day they only closed the account due to an alleged suspicious activity without any justification. I sent an email to support to see why and they never responded despite having been their users for a year. Very bad, I don't recommend it anymore.

FRAUD !!

Within 24 hours of downloading this app and setting up this account, I received a dozen text messages and emails all saying “congrats” and “approved” and “add money” !! I also received communications that my Visa Debit Card was already on its way !! Today I get text message alert that someone was inside my account trying to change a PIN number for a debit card I don’t even have yet ?? Then moments later, I get an email that tells me if I want to order a debit card, that i can do so on the app ?? After seeing both of these communications I closed down this account immediately !!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY !!! You’ve been warned…

Horrible customer service

They must only have one person working at their all center because I called got a full day and didn’t talk to anyone! Also I referred someone and the day they spills have paid me they locked my account! I can’t talk to anyone to see what’s going on and it’s almost a joke at this point! Worst banking app ever.

I’ve used many different banking apps that are very similar to this one. I’ve successfully been able to sign up and use them without any problems. However, this bank is stupid. They asked for a recent utility bill with your name on it in order to sign up. They’re from Tennessee. Of course we will have to deal with really stupid stuff like this if we want to use this bank. I don’t have any utility bills. I don’t need to pay any utilities because the way I pay rent, doesn’t require me to handle that stuff due to multiple roommates and the home owner handles all of that after we all pay him. Not that this is anyone’s business, but who do they expect to sign up for this card? Millionaires? They must think that only wealthier people are entitled to this low end app based bank. There’s nothing special about it at all. I’ve explained to them about this and tried everything, they still demand a utility bill. I gave up on this stupid bank. The customer service people are from there and we all know people in Mississippi are not at all the brightest individuals you will ever have to deal with. It’s them and all of the dixi states. I can’t believe people live the way they live and how much more advanced we are then they are. However, the only thing I can say about the south that is good is the farmers are the only important people there. I don’t care if most of them are inbred. They distribute vegetables all over the country and without those guys, we’d starve. Stay away from this bank. It’s like that. I don’t lie.

They say contact them so they can take a look- I literally call 25+ times / day, I message their Facebook 25+ times, and I’ve emailed everyone up to the CEO. They are full of lies and deceit! I will be traveling to their home office so we can rectify the issue in person. But I shouldn’t have had to pay out attorneys to travel with me. Costing way more than the 2k they stole. I will be posting the CEOs personal cell number as well as address on my Facebook tonight. You can figure out who I am from the derogatory remarks on theirs.

I signed up for this account and was promised a bonus at sign up and this was back in January!! So 10 months later no bonus and when I tried to contact them to inquire about this it took me about 2 months to even get any response back! When they did respond they told me that they were “backed up” with accounts and bonus and abs they should have it deposited very soon and this was 2 months ago as well and still today no bonus and no responses from support on the matter! They’re scamming people!

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a financial institution

My account was closed within a day of it being open (was never used) and after a WHOLE YEAR of going back and forth with these people because they can’t figure out why it won’t let me even log in to my account, I get an email saying “ We regret to inform you that MyBambu will not proceed with your account opening based on the information that you have provided due to multiple reasons.”
The information I provided: I had multiple accounts because every time I would be on the phone with an agent, THE MYBAMBU AGENT would TELL ME to try to create a new one!!!!!!

Better customer service than the rest !

I had an issue with my account that needed fixing last Friday, and despite the long weekend the customer service agents were able to respond to my message by Saturday morning , I’ve had previous experiences with other banking apps (that I won’t name because they don’t deserve free publicity) that took almost two weeks to respond , MyBambu responds quickly and with real resolutions ! 5 stars !

All around bad

I was lied to saying I would get a sign up bonus, it’s been almost four months and still haven’t gotten anything other than more lies and excuses when I can even get in touch with anyone (which is practically impossible) I definitely suggest everyone who is thinking of signing up take that time to go to the store and find a cheap pair of shoes because you’ll get more out of the box than you will this app.

Customer Service is horrible!

The customer service with MyBambu never answers the phone when you call and leaving a voicemail is pointless cause they don’t call back! It says you get $10 for opening an account, then when you sign up they tell you it takes 12-15 days before you get the bonus. It has been 17 days since my account was approved and my bonus hasn’t come through yet. It also say you get $15 if you refer a friend which I did and haven’t gotten that bonus either! Don’t waste your time with this app!
Edit: Its now been over a month maybe longer and I have still not received my sign up bonus nor have I gotten my referral bonus! DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY TRASH AND UNRESPONSIVE!

Suspect

I didn’t get my sign on bonus until just two days ago, and I’ve had my account since late November. I still hadn’t heard anything back from anyone when I was inquiring about it back then. I was about to delete my account when all of a sudden the money is in there now. However, the app is taking way too long to let me verify my external bank account, so I can close my account.

Don't trust this app

This bank is holding my money.. DO NOT TRUST

After submitting all the documents they asked me to send, no replies from them. I can’t even email them because the emails are being returned because their inbox is full apparently . This shows how scummy this company is. No help at all.
They asked me to submit docs because of unusual amount or frequency of external transfers that are coming in. It’s not my fault that the app works like it’s still 1992. I would scheduled transfer from my Wells Fargo so that I can use MyBambu buy every time I tried to press transfer, an error message pop out, so I’m thinking it didn’t process. So I tried again. And again. Little did I know each time did process.
So now they ask for my docs about 6 days ago. Provided them w statements and id and selfie and what not. Until now no reply. And can contact them. I’m so mad at myself for trusting a bank like this. Stay away from this bank. Open a chime account!

Just another bank that doesn’t keep their promises

2nd update: did as I was asked, provided all info. Was told I would my bonus within five days. That was on Monday. It is now nearing the end of the day in Friday, still NOTHING. Messaged again yesterday and was told to wait longer and basically told I was being a nuisance and they had already told me by email I would get it when the email was VERY unclear. This is BEYOND ridiculous.
Update: I did as I was asked and got more excuses and was told I needed to provide more of my friend’s information that I didn’t have (their email) which was NOT stated as a condition of receiving my bonus. So, thanks for not doing as you said and asking me to jump through more hoops on the hopes you would fulfill your empty promises. Done. This is ridiculous. I just hope my friend at least got their bonus.
I had JUST left another banking situation because they would NOT fulfill their end of the deal with my multiple referrals…not only did they NOT give me my bonus, but my friends and family that also signed up did NOT receive theirs either. Looks like Bambu is going to be the same thing. I had high hopes…guess that is what I get for hoping though. Wish I could say I had an experience like the review I read, but spoke to customer service and they couldn’t tell me anything useful…not even that my friend shows as a referral. GREAT customer service

To begin with I had problems getting my debit card. When I contacted support to let them know I never received it. Not actually even talking to anyone I had sent a message. A few days later I had my new card. That was sent by express UPS next day delivery. Who could ask for better service then that? Other than no monthly fees. Which they have that covered also. Highly recommend.

Missing Payment

Customer Service Is Terrible. When you’re doing their affiliate Referral program, they’ll tell you you’ll receive payment within 3-5 business days but really it’s more like 5-10 business days or even longer. So no, they don’t keep their word. And I was blocked from them from two different Facebook accounts because I was mad at the fact that I didn’t receive payment LIKE THEY SAID. I was told I would receive payment two weeks ago then they told me to wait until the week after and I did. So I asked for it Friday and they’re still saying I should receive payment next week. Now it’s Monday, and I’m still waiting for my referral bonuses (mind you I have to make a third account to reach them) and of course I’m still getting no response smh This is completely ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend this app guys.

REGRET THIS APP

When I downloaded this app it was $20 to start a new account and you get $10 per referral. I made $80 from the app within the first week. Most of my referrals got denied because their ID's were expired, didn't live at the address that were on their ID's etc etc. I have 2 referrals that still haven't even received their bonus for joining, I, myself have been waiting 2 weeks now for $30-$40 dollars from referrals. Truthfully, if you're looking for a quick way to make money THIS IS NOT THE APP. I've been told multiple times I'll get it this day, I'll get it that day, etc and still nothing. Don't even waste your time. I'll be trying to find a way to cancel my account and stay away from this app.

Updated Rvw 11/27: Not receiving credit for referrals...

Updating my previous 2star rvw to a 3 because after submitting my last rvw I did receive a response from support & the $20 welcome bonus as promised. The only problem now is that I’ve yet to receive anything for the friends/family that I’ve invited. I’ve had at least 4 referrals join with my invite link in the last few weeks, possibly more by now, but I haven’t received credit for even the 1st one of them. They definitely have a confirmed account because they’ve already received the $20 deposit. I really hope to be able to update my rvw again & give this app the 5stars I’d like to give, as well as continue recommending it to family & friends. Just seems there’s still a couple of kinks that need working out.
I signed up and was approved quickly so that’s why it gets 2 stars. I messaged support when my bank kept getting unliked for no apparent reason. Come to find out that my email was never received because there were problems with their support email. So I get an email stating it was working again & sent them my complaint. I still haven’t received the $20 for signing up. I did however receive the 2 micro deposits but I can’t confirm them if I have to keep re-linking my bank. This poses a major problem because each time I have to re-link my bank then it has to send 2 micro deposits to which I have to confirm the exact amount within the app. At this rate I’m about ready to give up which is not like me at all. I will gladly change my review if this is handled quickly & effectively. Thank you in advance!

$20 Bonus promises! (Huh LIES)

When I signed up there was a $20 promotion going on but I still haven’t yet gotten my $20 from you guys! I’ve been waiting & waiting bit nothing at all , I don’t understand it at all you get people to download apps with fake lies about giving free money but when we download the apps & do what they tell you to do to get the bonus but still haven’t gotten it I’m not rating it more then 1star!
